ABOUT THE RETAIL TEAM
- Sierra is partnering with a large and growing number of retailers - spanning apparel and beauty, grocery and big-box, home and auto, consumer services, marketplaces, and consumer technology. Our agents help millions of shoppers and members every day: tracking and returning orders, finding the right product, booking services, and resolving issues in each brand’s own voice.
- Retail is also where AI agents go beyond support to generate revenue. From product discovery and personalized recommendations to cart recovery, win-back campaigns, and in-store support that turns unanswered store calls into visits and sales, our team is redefining what an agent can do for a brand’s top line - not just its cost line.
- Join us to transform how the world’s most-loved consumer brands engage their customers - and help build technology that makes shopping more personal, effortless, and delightful for everyone.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Independently drive complex enterprise deals end-to-end: Manage a broad enterprise book with strong autonomy, leading 6- and 7-figure deal cycles from prospecting to close.
- Multi-thread to the C-suite: Lead VP-level conversations, build durable C-suite relationships across customer orgs, and earn credibility quickly with new stakeholders.
- Manage risk proactively: Identify and manage deal risk early; build rigorous stakeholder maps for your accounts.
- Make the hard calls: Partner with your manager (and, at the senior level, operate more independently) on pricing, escalation timing, exec alignment, and deal strategy — coming to the table with a point of view, not just a problem.
- Leverage leadership & co-founders: Bring in Sierra's co-founders effectively for exec engagement when it moves a deal.
- Raise the bar: Act as a visible, steady leader on deal teams; proactively elevate the team's standard without being asked.
- Operate as an AI-native seller: Leverage AI tools across the full sales cycle- account research, personalized outreach, call summarization, pipeline forecasting, and deal execution- to automate low-value tasks and reinvest that time into high-value customer relationships, while continuously adopting and experimenting with new tools to work faster and smarter than traditional methods allow.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 8- 10 years of enterprise customer-facing sales experience, identifying and closing large accounts.
- Experience managing a $1M+ quota and running end-to-end complex 6- and 7-figure ACV deals.
- Proven ability to multi-thread and build trusted relationships across customer C-suites.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication.
- Analytical mindset - you analyze market trends, spot opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
EVEN BETTER...
- Familiarity with the AI landscape, key players, and emerging trends.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
Anthropic manages one of the industry's largest AI fleets — spanning multiple accelerator families, cpu families and clouds. The Capacity Engineering team is responsible for making sure all our infrastructure resources are accounted for, well-utilized, and efficiently allocated. We own the data, tooling, and operational systems that let Anthropic plan, measure, and maximize utilization across first-party and third-party compute.
As an engineer on Capacity Engineering, you will build the production systems that power this work: data pipelines that ingest and normalize telemetry from heterogeneous cloud environments, observability tooling that gives the org real-time visibility into fleet health, and performance instrumentation that measures how efficiently every major workload uses the hardware it’s running on. You will be expected to write production-quality code every day, operate alongside Kubernetes-native infrastructure at meaningful scale, and directly influence decisions around Capacity.
You’ll collaborate closely with research engineering, infrastructure, inference, and finance teams. The work requires someone who can move between data engineering, systems engineering, and observability with comfort — and who thrives in a high-autonomy, high-ambiguity environment.
This is a pipeline role feeding four areas.
Depending on your background and business priority, you’ll focus primarily in one, but the boundaries are fluid and the problems overlap:
Data platform
Pipelines that ingest occupancy and utilization telemetry from Kubernetes clusters, normalize billing and usage across cloud providers, and serve the BigQuery tables the rest of the org queries against. Correctness, completeness, and latency are the job, not a footnote. Consumers range from research engineers to finance to leadership, so it's product work as much as engineering: defining schema contracts, making data discoverable, and figuring out what people actually need.
Planning
Knowing what the fleet has, where it's going, and what's in the way. Making the state of the fleet legible and actionable in real time: cluster health tooling, capacity planning platforms, alerting on occupancy drops and allocation problems, and systemic fixes to scheduling and fragmentation. Kubernetes operations on one side, cross-team coordination on the other.
Efficiency
Measuring and improving how effectively every major workload uses the hardware it runs on. Instrumenting utilization across training, inference, and eval systems, building benchmarking infrastructure, establishing per-config baselines, and working directly with system-owning teams to close the gaps. The metric has to be good enough that the team on the hook for it agrees with the number.
Attribution and forecasting
Connecting what the fleet costs to what the business is doing with it. Reconciling CSP billing exports against vendor telemetry and internal systems with mismatched schemas, attributing spend to the workloads and teams that generate it, and turning inference demand signals and research roadmaps into a defensible compute plan. Efficiency metrics have to survive contact with finance: stripped of pure demand and unit-price effects, reproducible month over month, and legible to a CFO.
Key responsibilities
Build the planning and allocation stack — the tools leadership uses to allocate capacity, teams use to plan against their allocations, and the scheduler enforces. Cross-region and cross-provider placement, guardrails, queueing, occupancy KPIs.
Drive the efficiency programs: stranding and rightsizing, unused capacity recovery, and job-level utilization across training, inference, and eval. Establish per-config baselines and work with system-owning teams to close the gaps. Directly influence decisions around a significant area of company investment.
Own attribution and forecasting — reconcile billing across ten-plus providers against telemetry and internal systems, attribute spend to the workloads that generate it, and turn demand signals and research roadmaps into a defensible compute plan and supply pipeline.
Build the data platform underneath all of it: pipelines ingesting occupancy, utilization, and cost from a rapidly diversifying fleet into BigQuery, with real ownership of completeness, latency SLOs, and gap detection. Every new provider is a net-new integration.
Operate Kubernetes-native systems at scale — collection agents, workload labeling, and the taint/reservation/scheduling behavior that determines what capacity is actually usable.
Treat the output as a product, not a pipeline. Gather your own requirements, define schema contracts, and design for consumers ranging from research engineers to a CFO — including on-call and SLOs, because these surfaces are load-bearing for the company.
What you bring
A strong track record building and operating production systems. This is a hands-on engineering role with a devops flavor.
Python and SQL at production quality. Most pipeline code is Python; the presentation layer is BigQuery SQL, including table-valued functions and views. Both need to be idiomatic, well-tested, and maintainable.
Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure) and its operations
Experience with observability tooling stack, including Prometheus, PromQL, and Grafana, including writing recording rules and building monitoring that engineering teams rely on.
Ability to gather your own requirements and work across organizational boundaries in an ambiguous environment with limited direction.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with capacity planning, resource management, or cost attribution systems at a hyperscaler or in a large-scale machine learning environment. Time spent in product engineering and developer experience absolutely counts here.
Scheduling and packing efficiency experience, or profiling-driven optimization of large distributed workloads.
Multi-cloud data ingestion experience, especially normalizing billing exports, reservation APIs, on-demand capacity reservations, commitments, and vendor telemetry from providers with different billing arrangements.
Total cost of ownership and forecasting experience, including decomposing whether infrastructure growth is causal or correlated with business drivers.
Accelerator infrastructure familiarity. GPU metrics (DCGM), TPU utilization, Trainium power and utilization metrics, or experience with machine learning training and inference systems at the hardware level.
Experience building internal data products with self-service access, schema contracts, API serving, documentation, and discoverability. Not just pipelines, but thinking about how the data gets consumed.
Storage efficiency, retention, and lifecycle program experience at very large scale.
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$320,000

$485,000 USD

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Type: Full-time
Reports to: (Interim) Director, IT
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented IT Operations Specialist to run day-to-day IT operations at Nex. Based in our San Jose office (hybrid), you’ll own device lifecycle management, workspace networking, and access provisioning, while also providing remote support to our Hong Kong office. You will play a critical part in keeping employees productive, secure, and equipped with reliable technology as we scale. The ideal candidate is a proactive, service-oriented problem solver who can own IT operations workstreams end-to-end and execute independently, while coordinating with a global team across time zones.
This role partners closely with our Information Security team on security-related operations. If you bring broader experience in IT strategy, procurement, or infrastructure, we’d love to hear about it — there’s room to grow the scope of this role over time.
What You'll Do
IT Operations
Own device procurement, provisioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, resets, and redeployment across the corporate device fleet
Administer IT access provisioning and security for less-sensitive systems (e.g., maintaining admin lists, standard user access)
Maintain corporate device information security, including anti-virus and endpoint protection tools
Administer corporate workspace IT and networking infrastructure — Wi-Fi, server room equipment, and videoconferencing — for the San Jose office
Provide remote support for Hong Kong office networking and videoconferencing systems
Respond to day-to-day employee IT support requests (helpdesk tickets) with speed and clarity
Strategy & Cross-Functional Support
Ownership and maintenance of internal IT-owned systems and infrastructure for shared use by multiple functional groups
Support on business applications and systems procurement, contract negotiation and budget management
Support delivery of employee IT security training (e.g., anti-phishing awareness) in coordination with InfoSec
Provide input on device management strategy (e.g., MDM/MAID tooling) based on day-today operational experience
Assist with vendor coordination and support tickets for outsourced IT operations, as directed
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in IT support, IT operations, or systems administration
Hands-on experience with device management (e.g., MDM tools such as Jamf, Intune, or similar)
Working knowledge of corporate account and productivity platforms (e.g., Google Workspace admin console)
Familiarity with core networking concepts (Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls) and videoconferencing hardware/software (e.g., Zoom Rooms)
Experience with endpoint security tools (anti-virus/EDR) and basic access-control administration (e.g., 2FA)
Strong troubleshooting skills and a service-oriented approach to internal IT support
Ability to work independently while coordinating with colleagues across time zones (Hong
Kong, U.S. and Europe)
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to device management strategy (e.g., MDM/MAID tooling selection and roadmap) or corporate account strategy (e.g., Google Workspace), balancing security with operational
efficiency
Exposure to access provisioning and security strategy for more sensitive systems (e.g., contributing to 2FA/MFA policy, not just administering standard access)
Exposure to business application procurement, contract negotiation, or vendor management
Exposure to ownership of shared infrastructure (e.g., cloud systems, data lake) across multiple teams
Exposure to ownership of customer-facing systems (e.g., Shopify, corporate websites)
Experience supporting a hybrid or multi-office environment
Experience in consumer tech, gaming, or hardware companies

Vice President, Robot Learning
Confidential | Early-Stage Robotics Startup | San Francisco Bay Area, CA
About the Opportunity
We're partnering with an ambitious early-stage robotics company building the next generation of humanoid telepresence systems for industrial work.
The company's mission is to make dangerous, highly skilled physical work safer and more accessible by enabling expert operators to remotely control humanoid robots with real-time visual, auditory, and haptic feedback. These systems are deployed in complex environments including energy infrastructure, industrial facilities, manufacturing, and other hazardous settings.
A core part of the long-term vision is transforming teleoperation data into increasingly autonomous robotic capabilities. Rather than treating teleoperation as a temporary solution, the company views it as the foundation for building high-quality robot learning systems based on real-world interaction, force feedback, and task execution.
This is an opportunity to define the robot learning strategy at a company where machine learning is central to the product roadmap.
The Role
We're seeking a
Vice President of Robot Learning
to lead the company's robot learning organization and own the roadmap from teleoperation data collection through to learned policies and increasing levels of autonomy.
This is a highly technical leadership role for someone who enjoys building from first principles, working closely with hardware and software teams, and translating cutting-edge robotics research into production systems.
You'll have the opportunity to shape both the technical direction and the team as the company scales.
What You'll Do
Own the robot learning strategy and technical roadmap.
Build the data pipeline that transforms teleoperation sessions into high-quality training data.
Develop learning systems for contact-rich robotic manipulation using real-world demonstrations.
Design and deploy imitation learning, reinforcement learning, and policy optimization approaches for physical robots.
Work closely with robotics, controls, perception, and hardware engineers to build an integrated robotic system.
Lead the evolution from teleoperated workflows toward progressively autonomous capabilities.
Build, mentor, and grow a world-class robot learning organization.
Establish technical direction, research priorities, and engineering best practices.
Drive experimentation, deployment, and continuous improvement using real-world operational data.
What We're Looking For
Required
PhD or equivalent expertise in Robotics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field.
Significant experience building robot learning systems for real-world robotic manipulation.
Deep expertise in imitation learning, reinforcement learning, policy learning, or related techniques.
Experience working with physical robots rather than purely simulated environments.
Strong understanding of contact-rich manipulation, force feedback, and real-world robotic control.
Track record of shipping robotics systems from research into production.
Experience leading highly technical teams or serving as the technical leader for a major robotics initiative.
Preferred
Experience from leading robotics organizations or research groups such as:
OpenAI Robotics
Google DeepMind Robotics
Physical Intelligence
Toyota Research Institute
Figure AI
Agility Robotics
Covariant
Skild AI

Particularly valuable experience includes:
Learning from teleoperation or human demonstrations
Building commercial robot learning data pipelines
Manipulation in contact-rich environments
Haptic interfaces or force-controlled robotics
Multi-modal learning using vision, force, and proprioception
Scaling robot learning infrastructure across fleets
Who You Are
Builder-first with a passion for deploying robotics in the real world.
Comfortable operating in an early-stage, fast-moving environment.
Excited by ambiguous technical problems with significant ownership.
Able to balance long-term research vision with near-term product execution.
Motivated by building a team, not just contributing individually.
Collaborative, hands-on, and deeply technical.
Why Join
Define the robot learning strategy from an early stage.
Build systems that operate in challenging, real-world industrial environments.
Work across hardware, controls, perception, and AI to solve end-to-end robotics problems.
Help shape the future of intelligent humanoid robotics.
Significant technical ownership with the opportunity to build and lead a high-impact organization.
