The successful leader must be ready to roll up their sleeves and dive into the data, systems, and models, while working collaboratively with the team ensuring you are able to effectively partner across the organization. This highly visible role will interact with the executive team as a thought partner to bring new insights and recommendations to the table.
Who You Are
Deep eCommerce or retail analytics experience
- fluent in the core KPIs for inventory, order economics, pricing, and fulfillment/supply chain cost and efficiency (AOV, unit economics, instock rates, meat beat scores, fulfillment CPUs), and you apply proven industry practice rather than rebuilding it from scratch
Proven at balancing people management with hands-on IC work
- you can point to analysis you've owned yourself while leading a team, not just work you've coordinated
Experienced managing experienced analysts
- you bring structure and clear prioritization to a team that already executes well, so they're always on the highest-impact work
Confident partnering with VP+ stakeholders
- you've built real relationships with senior business leaders and shape priorities with them proactively, front and center with executives
Hands-on with AI-native analytics
- you've built or are genuinely curious about self-serve analytics infrastructure (semantic layers, context layers, AI-connected reporting), not just traditional dashboards
Engaged in what we're building
- you ask why before how, challenge assumptions, and contribute to direction instead of delivering dashboards in isolation
Prioritizes progress over perfection
- you scale rigor to what's at stake and ship a strong, decision-ready answer on time rather than over-polishing
8+ years of experience, ideally with experience in a Data role in a high growth consumer technology or e-commerce company; 5+ years of experience at a manager level
You naturally reach for AI in your work - at Babylist, every team uses AI daily. You're already using it to move faster and improve your output, and you stay curious about what's coming next.
Strong sense of ownership, intellectual curiosity and an ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
High attention to detail but an equally important ability to see the big picture and evaluate analyses with strategic business context
Extensive experience in data analytics, big data technologies, and statistical modeling to drive business insights.
Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and data strategy principles.
How You Will Make An Impact
Lead and develop 5 experienced analysts and data scientists - prioritization, coaching, quarterly goal-setting, and clean handoffs with stakeholders
Own a meaningful book of actionable analysis yourself across eCommerce, supply chain, and health - you stay close to the data, not managing from a distance
Partner directly with senior leaders in each area, with regular exposure to the executive team
Define and steward the KPI and reporting standards these functions run on
Advance our AI-native analytics roadmap, including self-serve tools that connect business teams directly to our data
Set the bar for what strong, AI-forward analytics work looks like - and champion it across the team, pushing analysts to share ideas, cross-pollinate approaches, and spread unlocks org-wide
Create a culture of Data Analytics excellence where the function is viewed as a strategic partner on analytical matters, providing guidance and assistance to all functional groups as needed
Solve complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely analysis, business insights, and recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders
Translate business priorities into a clear, prioritized analytics roadmap - weighing tradeoffs and making strong recommendations on what the team takes on and what waits
Why This Role
You're inheriting 5 strong analysts who are already delivering - this isn't a rebuild, it's a chance to level up and scale a team for the future growth of Babylist

Who You Are
Deep eCommerce or retail analytics experience
- fluent in the core KPIs for inventory, order economics, pricing, and fulfillment/supply chain cost and efficiency (AOV, unit economics, instock rates, meat beat scores, fulfillment CPUs), and you apply proven industry practice rather than rebuilding it from scratch
Proven at balancing people management with hands-on IC work

Experienced managing experienced analysts

Confident partnering with VP+ stakeholders
- you've built real relationships with senior business leaders and shape priorities with them proactively, front and center with executives

This pod sits at the intersection of supply chain, health, and e-commerce, with direct exposure to senior business leaders
Babylist's data team is genuinely ahead of the curve on AI-native analytics - you'll help shape self-serve tooling most companies are just starting to think about
Real IC time is built into this role by design - you'll stay close to the work, not manage from a distance

Job Type
Full-time (Remote, working full UK business hours)
Engagement: Independent Contractor
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on Paid Media Specialist to take full ownership of performance marketing across a diverse portfolio of 12+ brands. This is the most visible role within the group, requiring a blend of technical platform mastery and confident client communication. You won’t just be clicking buttons; you will be the architect of multi-channel strategies, the expert builder of conversion tracking, and the primary point of contact for our clients. If you thrive on accountability, enjoy working across both Google and Meta, and pride yourself on being a "doer" rather than just a strategist, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Campaign Management:
Build, restructure, and optimize campaigns across Google Ads (Search, PMax, Display) and Meta Ads.
Technical Implementation:
Set up and verify conversion tracking from scratch using Google Tag Manager, Pixels, and Conversion API (CAPI).
Account Architecture:
Design robust account structures, including precise match-type separation and bid strategy management.

Produce monthly written reports with deep-dive commentary—explaining the "why" behind the data, not just the "what."
Client Leadership:
Lead client review calls, presenting results with transparency and confidence (even during challenging months).

Brief internal design teams on creative/video needs and feed paid search insights to the SEO team to sharpen organic targeting.
Proactive Auditing:
Identify and flag underperforming accounts within 48 hours and implement fixes without needing to be prompted.
Requirements
Hands-on Expertise:
Proven experience in day-to-day Google Ads and Meta Ads management. We are looking for an execution expert, not a high-level agency overseer.
Tracking Proficiency:
Must be able to build conversion tracking and GTM setups from the ground up independently.
Communication:
Fluent spoken and written English with the ability to lead professional client meetings.
Schedule:
Full commitment to working UK business hours (GMT/BST) long-term.

Ability to interpret data and provide actionable landing page recommendations to improve ROI.

📈 Long-term stability within a growing group of companies
🚀 High-impact role with significant autonomy
🎯 Opportunity to work across a diverse range of industries and brands

What the Role Is
We are looking for an E-commerce Finance Manager to join our team. As Finance Manager for our E-commerce business, you'll own financial visibility, efficiency, and performance across the Babylist Shop — topline through gross margin. You'll partner with Merchandising, Planning, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Data, and work directly with the Director of Strategic Finance to turn analysis into decisions on pricing, promotions, and investment. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role on a lean team: you'll set the approach, build the models and processes, and be front and center with company executives. If you've owned a full P&L picture and take pride in delivering clean, decision-ready work, you'll thrive here.
Who You Are
Deep ecommerce finance fluency
— you know the metrics and mechanics cold (AOV, gross-to-net, unit economics, and gross margin vs. contribution margin), ideally from a high-volume ecommerce or consumer-tech business
Advanced financial modeling skills
— expert in Excel / Google Sheets, scenario analysis, and managing large datasets to a clean, reliable answer
Strong independent ownership and problem-solving
— you can take an ambiguous problem, define the approach, and drive to a clear answer without day-to-day direction
Executive- and board-ready communication
— you present financial insights clearly and directly to senior leaders, connecting the numbers to what's happening in the business, including strong data visualization
A high bar for accuracy and quality control
— you build checks into your models and decks, reconcile outputs, and catch errors before they reach stakeholders
You naturally reach for AI in your work
— at Babylist, every team uses AI daily. You're already using it to move faster and improve your output, and you stay curious about what's coming next.
Prior experience owning pricing and promotional decisions, with a focus on ROI and financial impact
You have hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) in finance workflows, with clear examples of automating reporting, accelerating analysis, or improving how you model
Experience with financial planning systems such as NetSuite Planning & Budgeting, Oracle Hyperion, or similar
5–8 years of experience, ideally in an FP&A role at a high-growth consumer technology or ecommerce company, with 1–2 years at the Manager level preferred or equivalent ownership and scope in a lean, cross-functional finance environment
A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA a plus
How You Will Make An Impact
Proactively surface risks, opportunities, and value-added recommendations from both an operational and strategic viewpoint
Own the monthly financial business review for the Ecommerce business, delivering insights on sales, margins, and trends
Own Ecommerce forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis in partnership with Merchandising, Planning, and Accounting
Lead pricing and promotional analysis, including ROI evaluation and optimization
Analyze Co-Op, DDA, and rebate programs to assess financial impact and track accruals
Deliver SKU- and department-level reporting from revenue through margin
Ensure the data integrity of key ecommerce metrics in partnership with Data and Engineering
Build financial reporting that leadership relies on — dynamic dashboards, KPI and operational reporting, business analyses, and clear executive-level explanations of variances
Take ownership of establishing and managing new financial processes and reporting frameworks to close gaps and improve operational transparency
Leverage financial systems to give business leaders visibility to track against financial targets
Contribute to monthly and quarterly board presentations, the annual planning process, and long-range planning (5-Year Plan)
Identify and implement AI-enabled improvements across ecommerce FP&A workflows, reducing manual effort and increasing speed and consistency
Why This Role
You own ecommerce finance — topline through margin — for one of the largest parts of the business, not a slice of it
Your analysis reaches executives and the board and directly shapes decisions on pricing, promotions, and investment
High autonomy on a lean team: you define the approach in ambiguity rather than inheriting a fully built playbook
Babylist is pushing the frontier of AI, and you'll have a real mandate to reshape how FP&A works, not just experiment at the edges
About Compensation
We use a market-based approach to compensation. The starting salary range for this role is:
$128,413 to $171,229 + target bonus and competitive equity
Your starting salary will be based on your location, experience, and qualifications, with increases over time tied to performance, role growth, and internal pay equity.
