We’re looking for experienced full-stack engineers to join teams across Figma’s

organization! This group spans several teams—including Growth, Billing, Enterprise, and Discovery—each focused on solving complex challenges that help millions of users, from startups to Fortune 500 companies, get the most out of Figma. Depending on the team, you might design billing infrastructure at global scale, build secure enterprise access systems, improve how users discover and organize their work, or drive product-led growth and monetization initiatives.
As part of these teams, you’ll design and scale reliable, secure, and intuitive systems that power collaboration across Figma’s product suite. Playing a key role in driving our rapid growth, global expansion, and evolving product surface area—while working closely with cross-functional partners to ensure our technology meets the needs of our most sophisticated customers.
This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
Design, build, test, and ship high-quality features across the stack, using technologies like TypeScript, React, Ruby, Go, C++, and more.
Own key parts of the product that impact user experience, internal productivity, or revenue operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners in product, design, data science, support, and sales to shape product direction and solve complex problems.
Operate and monitor the systems you build, with a strong focus on reliability, security, performance, and user experience.
Contribute to team culture by mentoring peers, providing feedback, and helping foster a collaborative and inclusive engineering environment.
We’d Love to Hear From You If You Have:
4+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping and maintaining complex systems or products in production.
Full-stack experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React/TypeScript) and back-end technologies (e.g., Ruby, Python, Go, PostgreSQL).
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working effectively across functions.
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
Experience with B2B SaaS, billing/payments infrastructure, developer platforms, or enterprise-scale systems.
Familiarity with technologies such as Stripe, Salesforce, NetSuite, Snowflake, SCIM, SAML, or WebAssembly.
A background in experimentation, observability, compliance automation, or internal tools development.
Prior work on extensibility platforms (plugins, APIs, widgets), or experience contributing to open source developer communities.
Passion for crafting excellent developer or user experiences, and an eye for elegant, maintainable architecture.
Enthusiasm for learning and teaching—whether mentoring teammates, leading initiatives, or sharing knowledge in code reviews or pairing sessions.
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.

Our mission is to pay each member the right amount, as quickly as possible, while staying cost-effective for Alan. We have built the entire claims chain in-house, from LLM-powered parsing of 2.5M documents per year https://medium.com/alan/how-we-reached-70-document-processing-automation-at-alan-674bc80f3ef3 and a global coverage engine that determines how much each member should receive, to payment infrastructure, fraud prevention https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/chaque-euro-fraud%C3%A9-%C3%A0-lassurance-sant%C3%A9-cest-un-de-moins-martos-ssxae/, and the member experience across mobile and web https://medium.com/alan/universalisation-at-alan-how-we-stopped-building-everything-twice-7feb8d88a4a8. Our mission is to make insurance simpler, more scalable, and more effective for our members and customers. You’ll work on real-time pricing, AI-powered tools that empower Sales, and Alan’s next-generation global insurance stack. Our mission is to build the shared infrastructure that enables other Alan services to operate reliably and efficiently. You’ll work on a multi-country billing and invoicing platform, affiliation and employment systems that determine who is covered and from when, reconciliation tooling that identifies coverage and billing mismatches, and the APIs used by other teams to build their services. These are systems where correctness is non-negotiable: a wrong invoice or a missed affiliation can be visible to a company within the same week.

About GiveDirectly
What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need?
Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid.
Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question:
is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty?
We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join.
We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress.
How we work
Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated:
Recipients first.
Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves.
Team next.
We optimize for organizational success, not individual success.
Be proactively candid.
We say what we believe and share information openly.
Create positive energy.
We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain.
Think rigorously; act quickly.
We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate.
Know yourself and grow.
We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow.
Accept reality. Propose solutions.
We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems.
Be productively ambitious.
We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress.
If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit.

You must be based in one of the countries on

and must overlap with East Africa Time and US Eastern Time (8am-6pm) by at least 3 hours. As an example, 6PM East Africa Time is 11AM US Eastern time in the summer and 10AM in the winter. In practice, if you are in the Eastern US timezone, that means being regularly available for 8AM meetings and some 7AM ones. We know people have commitments like school drop-offs, so you’re encouraged to set a schedule that works for you—as long as there’s sufficient overlap with the team.
We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visas in the U.S. or U.K. at this time.
About this role
Technology plays a central role in how GiveDirectly delivers cash—whether that’s identifying recipients in hard-to-reach places, sending payments quickly after disasters, or powering the platforms our donors use to give.
We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help build the systems behind this work. Our engineering team still operates like a startup within GiveDirectly—lean, fast-moving, and high-autonomy. You’ll lean into product thinking, help shape the roadmap, and collaborate closely across disciplines to solve real-world problems. The specific team you’ll join is still being finalized—it could be:
Our
Programs Engineering
team (getting cash in the hands of people experiencing extreme poverty),
Our
Fundraising Engineering
team (raising more money for recipients), or
Our
International Rapid Response
team (getting cash to disaster-affected communities within 5 days of a crisis—anywhere in the world)
No matter the team, you’ll play a central role in scaling our impact: getting more money, to more people, more efficiently.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You’ll help shape architecture, ship production-ready code, and work side-by-side with teammates across product, data, and operations. We’re looking for someone excited to wear multiple hats, move quickly, and define what great engineering looks like in a mission-driven org
Level: Senior Software Engineer
Travel Requirement:
Must be able to travel ~1-2 times per year to one of our countries of operation for team retreats or field visits.
What you’ll do:
Design and build scalable, reliable systems that power our core operations—whether that’s donor platforms, systems that deliver payments directly to recipients, or crisis response tools reaching hundreds of thousands of people globally.
Own end-to-end development of new features and services, from architecture through deployment and monitoring.
Improve our developer workflows by strengthening CI/CD pipelines, reducing manual steps, and increasing test coverage.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, ops, data) to understand real-world needs and ship tools that directly support program delivery in the field.
Debug and resolve production issues across our stack, with a focus on root cause analysis and long-term fixes.
Advocate for sustainable engineering practices, including testing, documentation, and monitoring
Help shape our tech roadmap with an eye toward scale, maintainability, and recipient experience
What you’ll bring:
Exceptional alignment with
GiveDirectly Values
and active demonstration of our core competencies: emotional intelligence, problem solving, project management, follow-through, and fostering inclusivity. We welcome and strongly encourage applications from candidates who have personal or professional experience in the low-income and/or historically marginalized communities that we serve.
Language Requirement: English
4+ years of industry experience creating production-caliber software and systems
Experience with backend architecture: databases, cloud services, APIs
Experience building infrastructure to deploy software
Experience with strongly-typed, object-oriented programming such as Java, C#, Go, etc. and scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, etc.
High degree of ownership and autonomy - you proactively advocate for ways to improve systems and constantly leave our codebase in a better state than you found it
Strong analytical skills and communication - able to break down complex problems, describe technical trade-offs, and collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g. technical program managers, product managers)
Bonus: Experience using Python and AWS in a production environment
Bonus: experience with payments/financial software and/or experience with microservice/serverless architecture
