Offering spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients. Kraken Pro is where serious traders live. Millions of them. But a great product only wins if the right traders find it, trust it, and actually fund an account. Right now, our organic engine isn’t pulling its weight. You’re going to fix that. THE OPPORTUNITY We’re seeking a hands-on Head of Organic Growth to own how Kraken Pro gets discovered and how curious traders become active ones. At Kraken, understanding our brand ethos, mission, and the traders we serve is essential. Organic is where brand and acquisition meet. We’re looking for a player-coach who moves fast but thinks long-term, gets in the weeds while leading from the front, and knows that traffic means nothing if it doesn’t convert. This role demands sharp B2C acquisition instincts, a product-first mindset, an obsession with UX, and a self-starter attitude. - Own organic acquisition. Build and run the strategy across SEO, content, social, community, referrals, and partnerships to bring high-intent traders to Kraken Pro. - Find out if people convert. Map the funnel from first touch to first trade, report on it clearly, and figure out where traders drop off and how to win them back. - Make UX your edge. Work with Product and Design to audit and improve landing pages, sign-up flows, onboarding, and in-product moments. Great acquisition dies in bad UX, and you know it. - Acquire through brand. Make every growth channel a brand-building one. Reach is easy to buy; trust is what makes traders stay. - Know the product cold. Use Kraken Pro like a trader would, understand what makes it better, and turn those strengths into growth levers. - Lead a lean, scrappy team. Set direction, coach, and unblock a small team, while staying hands-on enough to ship, test, and fix things yourself. - Test and learn. Run experiments across channels and funnel steps, double down on what works, and kill what doesn’t. - Report what matters. Build clear dashboards and insights that show leadership what’s driving growth, what isn’t, and what to do next. - Ship responsibly. Partner with Legal/Comms to ensure compliant, accurate, and aligned messaging across regions and platforms. WHAT YOU’LL BRING - 5+ years in B2C acquisition or growth marketing, ideally in fintech, crypto, trading or gaming with experience in a player-coach role leading a small team. - Product savvy. You understand how products work, why people use them, and how to turn features into growth. - UX instinct. You can spot friction in a flow from a mile away and brief Product and Design on how to fix it. - High AI competency. Enabling you to multiply your impact and keep up with demand. - Analytical rigor. Comfortable with funnels, cohorts, attribution, and experimentation, and able to turn data into decisions and clear stories. - Speed under pressure. Markets don’t wait for approval cycles and neither do you. - Range as a marketer. SEO, content, social, lifecycle, partnerships. You know enough about each to direct the work, and you can roll up your sleeves when needed. - Taste. Knowing which channels and tactics not to pursue is as valuable as knowing which to scale. - Familiarity trading culture, and the language traders use. - Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams around a shared growth goal. Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Location: United Kingdom; Ireland; Cyprus; Portugal; Poland Workplace: Remote BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system. THE TEAM Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients. Join our Product and Regulatory Legal team, embedded with Kraken's Product, Design and Engineering teams to ship novel products and experiences that accelerate the global adoption of crypto. We are a tight, experienced group of lawyers from a diverse range of tradfi, fintech and crypto backgrounds who move fast, stay curious and take pride in the commercial accountability of our advice, partnering directly with Product, senior leadership and Compliance to chart clear, defensible paths to launch and to keep our licensed entities running smoothly. This is a senior product-facing legal role for the European Union. You will be the lawyer the business trusts on questions that cut across several regimes at once: for example, a single product such as a tokenised equity, a card, or an institutional custody and prime brokerage service can touch the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive ("MiFID II"), the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation ("MiCA"), the Payment Services Directive ("PSD2"), the Electronic Money Directive ("EMD2") and banking rules at the same time. You will bring clarity on which regime applies, what it requires, and how to launch within it. THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Head of Product Legal, you will act as a senior legal adviser to European leadership on new products, licensing structure and regulatory strategy. - Own cross-functional product counselling for European Union launches from discovery to design, launch and iteration, giving Product, Engineering, Compliance and leadership decision-ready advice with clear options and risk trade-offs - Advise on the regulatory perimeter and classification of new offerings across MiFID II and the Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation ("MiFIR"), MiCA, the European Market Infrastructure Regulation ("EMIR"), payment services and electronic money rules, and banking regulation, including where an instrument or service falls between regimes (for example tokenised securities, crypto-asset derivatives, margin and financing, and stablecoin-linked products) - Advise on payments and electronic money offerings, including the Krak card and account propositions, safeguarding, open banking and account-access obligations, and the developing Payment Services Directive 3 and Payment Services Regulation framework - Advise on banking-related questions that arise in the European Union, including bank partnerships and sponsor-bank arrangements, deposit-taking and lending perimeter questions, the Capital Requirements Regulation and Directive, and the interaction of these rules with our custody, prime brokerage and financing products - Monitor and interpret European Union legislative and supervisory developments, take part in consultations and industry association work where appropriate, and translate their significance for the business proactively - Draft and negotiate client-facing terms and conditions, taking clear, business-aligned positions - Act as gatekeeper for European Union outside counsel engagements: scope the work, estimate and manage cost, and sign off before matters go externally - Mentor and develop more junior lawyers in the team, set quality standards for plain-English, risk-based advice, and act as a senior sounding board for colleagues across the Regulatory Legal team - Use AI-assisted tools (for example Enterprise GPTs) to speed up regulatory analysis, first drafts and matter tracking, and to build self-service tools that let stakeholders answer commoditised legal and regulatory questions themselves - Advise on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing requirements affecting products, including the Transfer of Funds Regulation ("Travel Rule") and the new European Union anti-money laundering package, and on market abuse, conduct, outsourcing and operational resilience obligations, including the Digital Operational Resilience Act ("DORA") - Lead or oversee licensing, authorisation and variation workstreams in the European Union, including scoping requirements, mapping pathways, supervising outside counsel, preparing application materials and managing regulator interactions WHAT YOU BRING - Qualified lawyer admitted in Ireland, England and Wales, or another European Union Member State - 15 or more years' post-qualification experience ("PQE") in financial services regulatory law, gained at a regulated financial services institution (for example a bank, payment institution, broker-dealer, exchange, central counterparty or crypto services provider) or at a leading law firm supporting such clients, ideally with in-house or direct product counselling experience - Deep, current knowledge of several of the following, with real depth in at least two: MiFID II and MiFIR (investment services, market structure, derivatives and conduct), MiCA (crypto-asset services, custody, trading platforms and stablecoins), European Union payment services and electronic money regulation, and European Union banking regulation - Demonstrated ability to analyse novel products against overlapping regimes and give a clear view on classification and perimeter, including in areas where the rules are unsettled or supervisors have not yet spoken - Direct experience managing senior regulator relationships, including notifications, information requests, supervisory correspondence and examinations - Working knowledge of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing, outsourcing and operational resilience obligations, including DORA - Proven ability to instruct, supervise and manage the cost of outside counsel across multiple jurisdictions - Outstanding analytical, drafting and organisational skills, with crisp, plain-English writing - Ability to distill complex legal and regulatory issues into clear, actionable guidance for non-lawyer stakeholders and for senior leadership - A pragmatic, commercially accountable approach to legal and regulatory risk that gives stakeholders a useful range of options and a clear recommendation - Experience mentoring or managing lawyers, and the judgement to know when to escalate - Comfort operating with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-moving, remote environment - Familiarity with using AI tools such as Enterprise GPTs to increase the efficiency of legal services NICE TO HAVES - Experience advising on tokenised securities and the European Union Distributed Ledger Technology Pilot Regime - Experience with EMIR, including the clearing obligation, margin for non-centrally cleared derivatives and transaction reporting - Experience with prime brokerage, securities financing, margin lending or institutional custody - Experience advising on the United Kingdom cryptoasset regime or other non-European Union frameworks that intersect with European Union operations - Experience supporting regulatory aspects of corporate transactions, such as change-of-control notifications and entity migrations - Experience with European Union data protection and consumer protection rules as they apply to financial products - Fluency in a second European language - An authentic interest in crypto and digital assets, and familiarity with Payward's and competitors' products Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution. Location: San Francisco Workplace: Hybrid ABOUT BASETEN Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products. THE ROLE Container runtimes were designed for general-purpose software workloads. AI inference is not a general-purpose workload. Running large models at production scale exposes cracks in every layer of the container stack: runtimes unaware of GPU memory constraints, images that take minutes to pull when a model needs to scale to thousands of replicas, and isolation mechanisms that weren’t designed for the multi-tenant serving environments that production AI requires. The tools the industry has relied on for a decade weren’t built for this, and patching around those limitations at higher layers only goes so far. Baseten owns the entire pipeline, from the moment a developer pushes a model to the moment a request gets a response. That vertical ownership means we can fix these problems at the root. The Runtime Fabric team is doing exactly that: purpose-building the container runtime and storage layers for AI inference workloads, led by some of the world’s top containerd maintainers. As Engineering Manager for Storage Products on the Runtime Fabric team, you will lead the engineers who build and run the storage products behind that stack: the Baseten Delivery Network (BDN), which sits in the cold start path of every model on the platform, the snapshotters and filesystems that expose model weights and container images to a running container, and the storage that model deployment and training need next. The team is advancing the next generation of caching for inference workloads, from the origin tier to the GPU host. You will own reliability for the area as a measured outcome, report to the head of Runtime Fabric, and stay close to the code through design and code review. If you’ve managed systems engineers and have hands-on experience with caching, content-addressable storage, or distributed filesystems, we’d love to talk. EXAMPLE INITIATIVES - How the Baseten Delivery Network (BDN) makes cold starts fast https://www.baseten.co/blog/how-the-baseten-delivery-network-bdn-makes-cold-starts-fast/ - Extending BDN from model weights to container image layers, training checkpoints, and deployment artifacts - Lazy-loading snapshotters and block-level delivery (EROFS, FUSE, ublk) so a container can start before the full image or model has arrived RESPONSIBILITIES Team Leadership and Culture - Hire and grow a team of 5 to 10 systems engineers with storage, caching, and Linux expertise - Run the team’s planning and delivery: scope work against the Runtime Fabric roadmap, set priorities, and ship on a predictable cadence - Provide regular coaching, feedback, and career development support to your direct reports - Own on-call health for the team’s services, including escalation paths and follow-through on incidents Technical Direction - Guide the architecture and evolution of the Baseten Delivery Network: the tiered caching and weight delivery product that makes cold starts 2-3x faster and eliminates thundering herd failures during burst scaling events - Shape storage products tailored to Baseten’s workloads: extend BDN from model weights to container images, training checkpoints, and deployment artifacts, and define the interfaces that model deployment, training, and customers use to reach them - Oversee the on-host side of delivery: lazy-loading snapshotters, EROFS and overlayfs layouts, and block-level delivery (FUSE, ublk) for multi-gigabyte files - Own reliability of the delivery path as a measured outcome: end-to-end instrumentation from snapshotter initialization to first inference request, targets for cold start and cache behavior, tolerance for failing upstream registries and object stores, and safe rollout of changes to a path every customer depends on - Make the delivery path work across heterogeneous clusters and cloud providers, each with its own object store and network - Review designs and code across the area, and take on hands-on work where it unblocks the team - Champion the team’s contributions back to containerd and the snapshotter ecosystem alongside the maintainers on the Runtime Fabric team Cross-Functional Partnership - Act as the point of contact for storage across Baseten, ensuring model deployment, training, and platform teams have the integration support they need - Optimize requirements for the underlying storage platforms with the infrastructure team: object storage, local NVMe and block storage, and network bandwidth per cluster, so that capacity and provider decisions account for what the delivery path needs - Manage the team’s dependencies in both directions: sequence work that model deployment, training, and infrastructure teams block on, and negotiate interfaces and timelines with the teams and upstream projects the storage path depends on - Work with the head of Runtime Fabric and product stakeholders to prioritize storage investments based on customer impact and infrastructure reliability - Communicate team progress, technical trade-offs, and incidents clearly to the team and to leadership REQUIREMENTS - Experience managing a team of engineers in a systems, infrastructure, or storage context, including hiring and performance management [TODO: confirm whether a tech lead stepping into management qualifies] - Hands-on background in distributed storage systems, content-addressable storage, or large-scale caching infrastructure - Strong systems programming background in Go, Rust, and/or C/C++, with the ability to engage credibly in code reviews and architectural discussions - Working knowledge of the Linux storage stack: filesystems, the page cache, block devices, and mounts - Understanding of how container images are structured, stored, and delivered at scale - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority across teams NICE TO HAVE - Contributions to containerd/containerd, snapshotter projects (stargz, soci, nydus, overlaybd), distribution/distribution, or closely related open-source projects - Familiarity with lazy-loading snapshotters or peer-to-peer image distribution - Experience with EROFS, FUSE, ublk, or io_uring - Experience building or operating CDN, object storage, or large-scale caching infrastructure - Experience running storage services on Kubernetes BENEFITS - Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity - (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents - Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!) - Paid parental leave - Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot - (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k) - Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities. Location: San Francisco, California Workplace: Hybrid ABOUT SENTRY Software runs the world and the pace is faster than ever. Sentry helps developers fix errors and performance issues before users notice, so teams can spend less time firefighting and more time building. Trusted by 200,000+ organizations, Sentry is today’s application monitoring standard and our team is building its AI-native future. ABOUT THE ROLE At Sentry, Support is an engineering discipline. Our customers are developers, and they expect answers from people who can read their stack trace, open the SDK source, and tell them what's actually wrong. We're hiring a Senior Manager to lead Support Engineering. You'll run the team that handles everything from a single developer's SDK question to a production incident at one of our largest enterprise customers. You'll also help drive how we use AI in support: what systems are used, how they best help customers, enable the teams, and how we know the answers they give are right and forward looking. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll manage people, set the support strategy, get face to face time with customers, while also getting into tickets when it matters. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL Lead and grow the team - Manage and coach a team of Technical Support Engineers - Set clear expectations for technical depth, response quality, and ownership, and give direct feedback - Design a coverage model that works across time zones, including on-call and escalation paths - Build career paths for Support Engineers who want to go deeper technically, move into management, or move into different teams and practices Own support outcomes - Own and report the team's core metrics: CX, time to resolution, escalation rate, and more - Use support conversations as a signal: find the top drivers of tickets and get them fixed in the product, the docs, internal operations, or the SDKs, not just answered faster Run AI-assisted support - Own the roadmap for our support agents: which request types they handle, what context they need, and when they hand off to a person - Set the quality bar for agent answers and the process for catching incomplete ones - Decide where automation is worth building and where it isn't, based on data Handle escalations and partner across Sentry - Run the escalation process with Engineering: make sure bugs reach the right team with a reproduction and clear impact, and that customers hear back - Be the support lead on high-stakes enterprise issues, working with Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, and Sales - Bring a clear picture of customer pain to Product and Engineering, backed by numbers YOU'LL LOVE THIS JOB IF YOU - Think great support is an engineering problem, not a staffing problem - Want to build the team and the systems at the same time - Can debug a tricky SDK issue yourself and also explain to a VP why their incident took four hours - Would rather fix the cause of 200 tickets than answer them faster - Have strong opinions on where AI helps in support and where it makes things worse, and be willing to discuss this at length. QUALIFICATIONS - 8+ years in technical support, support engineering, or software engineering at a SaaS or developer tools company - 3+ years managing technical support engineers, including hiring and growing a team - Technically credible with senior engineers: comfortable reading code in at least a few of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Ruby, and debugging across frontend, backend, and infrastructure - Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and how observability tools (errors, tracing, logs) fit into them - Hands-on experience running AI or automation in a support org, and a clear view of its failure modes - Track record of using support data to drive product and process changes - Clear, direct written communication with customers, executives, and engineers Bonus - Experience at a developer tools or observability company - Former software engineer - Managed a team spread across multiple time zones - Open source contributor or maintainer The base salary range (or hourly wage range, if applicable) that Sentry reasonably expects to pay for this position is $160,000 to $180,000. A successful candidate’s actual base salary (or hourly wage) amount will be determined by a variety of relevant factors including, without limitation, the candidate’s work location, education, work and other relevant experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. A successful candidate will be eligible to participate in Sentry’s employee benefit plans/programs applicable to the candidate’s position (including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage). See Sentry Benefits https://sentry.io/careers/ for more details about the Company’s benefit plans/programs. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AT SENTRY Sentry is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to its employees and candidates for employment regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, veteran status, or other legally-protected characteristic. This commitment includes the provision of reasonable accommodations to employees and candidates for employment with physical or mental disabilities who require such accommodations in order to (a) perform the essential functions of their jobs, or (b) seek employment with Sentry. We strive to build a diverse team, with an inclusive culture where every teammate can thrive. Sentry is an open-source company because we believe that everyone, everywhere, should have the ability and tools to make great software. Software should be accessible. That starts with making our industry accessible. If you need assistance or an accommodation due to a disability, you may contact us at accommodations@sentry.io.
