ABOUT US
At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.
With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Deployed Engineering team works directly with companies building and running AI agents in production, helping turn ideas and prototypes into systems teams can rely on.
This is a hands-on, highly technical team that partners closely with customer engineers across the full lifecycle, from pre-sales evaluations to post-deployment advisory work. The focus is on achieving the technical win, co-designing agent architectures, and helping customers operate agents reliably at scale using the LangChain suite.
Deployed Engineers sit at the intersection of engineering, product, and go-to-market, shaping how LangChain is adopted in the field and feeding real-world insights back into the platform.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Deployed Engineer…You’ll work on some of the hardest problems in applied AI — not demos, not research, but systems that real teams depend on in production. The feedback loop is fast, the impact is visible, and the work you do directly shapes how AI agents are built in the real world.
This will be a hybrid in office role in Chicago, IL.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Co-architect and co-build production AI agents with customer engineering teams
- Own the technical win in pre-sales by designing POCs, answering deep technical questions, and guiding evaluations
- Help customers deploy and operate agent-based applications such as conversational agents, research agents, and multi-step workflows
- Advise customers post-sale on architecture, best practices, and roadmap-level decisions
- Run technical demos, trainings, and workshops for developer audiences
- Surface field feedback and contribute reusable patterns, cookbooks, and example code that scale across customers
- Occasionally contribute code upstream when it meaningfully improves customer outcomes
- Travel to customers up to 25% of the time
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 6+ years in a relevant technical role (software engineering, customer engineering, solutions engineering, founding/product engineering), ideally in a startup or scale-up
- Strong Python, JavaScript and systems fundamentals
- Have designed agent-based or LLM-powered applications beyond simple API calls, including multi-step workflows, orchestration, and failure handling
- Are comfortable working directly with customers during POCs, architecture reviews, and technical evaluations
- Can explain technical tradeoffs clearly and build trust with developer audiences
- Take responsibility for outcomes, not just recommendations
- Have a bias toward action and enjoy figuring things out as you go
- Are excited about operating AI agents in production, not just building demos
NICE TO HAVE’S
- You’ve deployed AI agents in production, especially using LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks
- Worked with LLM evaluation, observability, or guardrails
- Have experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), containers, and basic Kubernetes concepts
- Have shipped and operated production software and are comfortable owning systems under real-world constraints
COMPENSATION:
Annual OTE range: $200,000–$300,000 USD. Final compensation will depend on experience, skills, and location.
Looking for a hands-on implementation role focused on custom delivery, bespoke integrations, and scoped consulting projects? Please check out the Deployed Engineer (Professional Services) roles.
Compensation Philosophy:
We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks.
We are hiring for this role across a range of scope, and the compensation band reflects that. Your offer depends on what we learn about your impact, craft, leadership, and communication during the interview process. We will tell you early where you’re tracking and talk comp with you before offer stage. Team members in the EU, UK, and APAC receive locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations.

Join the team as our next Software Engineer on Twilio’s platform engineering observability team.
About the job
This position is needed to help our platform engineering observability team. Twilio is undergoing a large-scale observability transformation—and you can help shape the foundation. Observability is a strategic pillar and a key enabler for faster incident response, deeper customer-centric insights, and more cost-effective platform operations.
As a Software Engineer on the Platform Observability team, you’ll play a critical role in re-architecting how telemetry flows and is utilized through Twilio—making it structured, accessible, affordable, and actionable. Over the next 3 years, Twilio is rebuilding nearly every component of our observability platform, from data collection to real-time analytics. You will drive core initiatives that shift Twilio from fragmented tooling and wasteful data sprawl to a unified, OpenTelemetry-first observability stack built for scale.
You’ll lead technically and strategically—designing platform components, influencing org-wide architectural decisions, mentoring engineers, and engaging directly with teams across Platform Engineering and R&D
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
Lead the end-to-end architecture and delivery of key observability platform components, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and usability.
Drive consistency and quality across all observability signals—logs, metrics, traces, and continuous profiling—building intuitive workflows for engineers.
Serve as a technical advisor and mentor across the platform org, guiding design decisions and aligning cross-team efforts with long-term architectural goals.
Go deep in one or more problem areas (e.g., high-cardinality telemetry, distributed tracing correlation, compute cost insights), while ensuring the platform scales horizontally.
Collaborate with product teams, SREs, and developer experience groups to deeply understand telemetry needs and integrate observability into core engineering workflows.
Design and build developer-friendly tooling and APIs to support incident response, performance analysis, and platform debugging at scale.
Leverage (and optionally contribute to) open-source standards like OpenTelemetry to ensure interoperability and extensibility.
Champion a pragmatic approach to observability—balancing performance, cost, and user value across diverse engineering teams.
Qualifications
Twilio values diverse experiences from all kinds of industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!
*Required:
Proven expertise in building and scaling observability systems (e.g., logging platforms, metrics pipelines, tracing infrastructure, or profiling tools).
Lead technical execution for major components of Twilio’s observability overhaul, including our shift to centralized S3-based data lakes, OpenTelemetry instrumentation, and ClickHouse-backed query engines.
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Go, Python, Java).
Familiarity with high-cardinality data challenges and telemetry correlation techniques.
Experience designing high-scale telemetry systems (e.g., Prometheus, ClickHouse, OpenTelemetry, Kafka, or equivalent).
Solid understanding of distributed systems and the challenges of observability in complex, microservice-based environments.
Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
Provide architectural guidance and thought leadership across teams, helping to establish clear telemetry standards, efficient usage patterns, and scalable platform abstractions.
Ability to make forward-looking technical decisions and lead others through ambiguity and chan
Desired:
Familiarity with ClickHouse, Grafana Mimir, Athena, or equivalent systems for log and metrics querying.
Contributions to open-source observability tools or communities.
Experience building cost visibility or FinOps tooling for cloud compute and telemetry pipelines.

Location: London; Europe
Workplace: Hybrid
Synthesia is the world’s leading AI video platform for business, used by over 90% of the Fortune 100. Founded in 2017, the company is headquartered in London, with offices and teams across Europe and the US.
As AI continues to shape the way we live and work, Synthesia develops products to enhance visual communication and enterprise skill development, helping people work better and stay at the center of successful organizations.
Following our recent Series E funding round, where we raised $200 million, our valuation stands at $4 billion. Our total funding exceeds $530 million from premier investors including Accel, NVentures (Nvidia's VC arm), Kleiner Perkins, GV, and Evantic Capital, alongside the founders and operators of Stripe, Datadog, Miro, and Webflow.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Synthesia is used by over 90% of the Fortune 100, and the largest deployments now run thousands of creators across dozens of markets, languages, and compliance regimes. What decides whether those accounts expand or stall is not another avatar, it is whether admins, legal, and programme owners can actually stay in control.
You'll own that layer end to end: workspace setup and governance, the content lifecycle, and the analytics and integrations that close the loop. This is the work that turns a proof of concept into a seven-figure renewal, and right now it is wide open.
WHY THIS ROLE NOW
AI video has crossed from experiment to standard tooling inside the world's biggest companies. The next phase of growth is won or lost on whether we can make that scale safe and manageable. That is your remit.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Owning the end-to-end roadmap for content lifecycle, governance, and the operational layer that keeps enterprise deployments running - from workspace setup through compliance controls
- Getting close to enterprise customers: understanding how IT admins, legal teams, programme managers and content owners think about governance, and what "in control" actually looks like at scale
- Translating that into clear product direction, what to build, in what order, and why, and keeping engineering and design aligned to it as the strategy evolves
- Working closely with the engineering manager and designer in the team; writing clear specs, making good calls on trade-offs, and providing the context that helps engineers build the right thing first time
- Partnering with Solutions, CS, and Legal on complex enterprise deals. These features are frequently deal-critical and the commercial loop matters
- Defining the metrics that tell us whether this layer is working: adoption of admin tooling, compliance feature usage, reduction in support escalations related to governance gaps
WHO YOU ARE
You've excited by the challenge that comes with untangling the inherent complexity of enterprise platform products. You understand that governance and compliance work isn't glamorous, but you know it's the difference between a proof of concept and a seven-figure renewal.
You can hold a conversation with a CISO and with a content creator, and understand what each of them needs from the same system.
YOU MAY BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU BRING
- Significant experience owning a critical product domain - setting strategy, not just executing it
- A track record of connecting product outcomes to commercial results: ARR, retention, expansion, or equivalent
- Comfortable working across a broad surface area. You can prioritise ruthlessly and make the case for what gets built next
- Strong written communication: PRDs, strategy docs, and customer insight summaries that others can act on without a follow-up
- Ability to ramp quickly on to the complexity of enterprise buying motions. You'll be close to the commercial team on complex deals and that context matters
- Based in London or open to regular travel; the team is London-anchored and in-person time matters
We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every point above. Strong candidates rarely match a list exactly, and we'd rather hear from you.
OUR CULTURE
At Synthesia we’re passionate about building, not talking, planning or politicising. We strive to hire the smartest, kindest and most unrelenting people and let them do their best work without distractions. Our work principles serve as our charter for how we make decisions, give feedback and structure our work to empower everyone to go as fast as possible. You can find out more about these principles here. https://www.notion.so/How-we-work-at-Synthesia-f794caa72f8446efb6be22b551ce0fa2?pvs=21

Type: 12-month contract (with possibility of conversion to full-time permanent role)
The Role
As a Software Engineer in Test at Nex, you will own stability and reliability testing for the Motion Development Kit (MDK), firmware, and hardware modules that power Nex Playground's AOSP-based motion-sensing device. You will build automated test frameworks, stress/soak testing infrastructure, and validation tools that catch instability, regressions, and hardware-integration failures before they reach production. You will work closely with the Framework Engineering and firmware/hardware teams to embed testability across the full Android stack, from low-level sensor drivers and HAL layers up through the MDK APIs that game developers build on .
This role sits within a small, highly technical team that values both specialization and collaboration, with clear ownership of quality across core technology areas .
The Mindset
You are drawn to solving hard reliability problems in systems where hardware, firmware, and Android software all have to work together flawlessly, day after day. You care deeply about long-run stability, not just passing a test once, but proving a system holds up under sustained load, edge cases, and real-world conditions. You thrive in environments where deep systems debugging, Android/AOSP internals knowledge, and rigorous testing discipline directly shape what the platform can confidently ship .
What You'll Do
Design and build automated stability and reliability test frameworks for the Motion Development Kit (MDK), firmware, and hardware modules on an AOSP-based platform
Develop soak testing, stress testing, and endurance testing pipelines to surface memory leaks, crashes, thermal issues, ANRs, and long-running failures
Build test harnesses and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) rigs to validate sensor, camera, and motion-tracking hardware under real and simulated conditions
Create regression suites for firmware, HAL, and MDK releases, integrated into CI/CD to catch stability issues pre-release
Investigate, reproduce, and drive root-cause analysis of field failures, crashes, kernel panics, and intermittent hardware/firmware defects using Android bug reports, logcat, and kernel logs
Define and track reliability metrics such as MTBF, crash rates, ANR rates, and failure recurrence across hardware revisions and firmware/AOSP builds
Partner with firmware, hardware, and platform engineers to define quality gates and exit criteria for new hardware/firmware/AOSP releases
Write clean, well-tested test code and tooling that raises the engineering bar across the team
Build dashboards and reporting for test coverage, defect trends, and release stability
Participate in code reviews and contribute to shared tools, infrastructure, and cross-role projects (20% Time)
Work with the dual-leadership model (Engineering Manager and Tech Lead) to align on quality priorities and technical direction
Document test strategies, systems, and findings to support team knowledge sharing
What You Bring
3+ years of professional experience in software test engineering, reliability engineering, or QA for embedded/firmware, Android, or hardware-integrated systems
Proficiency in Python, with experience in at least one systems language (C++, C#, Java, Rust, or Go)
Hands-on experience with stability, stress, soak, or endurance testing methodologies
Experience testing Android/AOSP platforms, HAL, embedded firmware, device drivers, or hardware modules (sensors, motion tracking, cameras, or similar)
Strong debugging skills across hardware, firmware, and software layers, including logcat, kernel logs, bug reports, logic analyzers, or serial/hardware diagnostics
Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated regression suites
Preferred
Experience with AOSP build systems (Soong/Make), Android Test Harness, or Vendor Test Suite (VTS)/Compatibility Test Suite (CTS)
Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test rig design and automation
Familiarity with embedded Linux, Android kernel internals, and Treble/HAL architecture
Knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, BLE) used in sensor and firmware integration
Experience with reliability metrics and frameworks (MTBF, FMEA, fault injection testing)
Familiarity with motion sensing, IMUs, computer vision, or signal processing validation
Experience working in small, high-performance technical teams
Background in consumer electronics, robotics, or Android-based hardware products
Passion for pushing reliability standards and deep root-cause problem-solving

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
As an AV Production Specialist, you'll own the day-to-day operation of the event technology behind how Anthropic communicates — the all-hands, the executive presentations, the live broadcasts. You are the owner of these productions: accountable for their technical outcome from the moment a request arrives through to the follow-up after the room clears, and the technical partner our executives, events team, and communications partners rely on to make them land.
This is an operations role with engineering depth behind it. You'll work across the same technology stack as our broadcast engineering practice with your center of gravity in execution and service. You'll keep our event spaces in a state of readiness through preventative maintenance, and be the calm, capable presence that executives, comms partners, and event producers learn to trust. Your work directly enables the collaboration and transparency that advance our AI safety mission.
Responsibilities
Live Event Production & Run-of-Show
Own the technical execution of live and hybrid events, from small executive presentations to company-wide all-hands broadcasts reaching thousands of participants
Serve as technical director for live productions across the full range, up to and including executive presentations and company-wide broadcasts Operate production systems during live events including video switchers, audio consoles, camera systems, playback, and streaming encoders
Build and run the technical run-of-show: cue sheets, source lists, rehearsal schedules, and backup plans
Direct contractors and onsite technicians during productions, delegating clearly under time pressure
Troubleshoot and escalate complex production issues with clear diagnostic context
Communicate status, risk, and resolution to non-technical stakeholders in clear, calm, jargon-free language
Handle confidentiality and access requirements for sensitive sessions, including recording and streaming controls
Event Intake, Scoping & Scheduling
Own the event technology intake process end-to-end: request triage, technical scoping conversations, and staffing
Right-size production approach to event type, translating stakeholder goals into an equipment and staffing plan that fits the constraints and scope of our team’s SLA
Take on genuinely novel events and leave a repeatable standard behind — a template, runbook, or gear list that makes the next one easier than the first and repeatable by the team
Maintain the event technology calendar and coordinate coverage across the AV Operations team
Partner with Events, Internal Communications, and Workplace teams on lead times, expectations, and readiness
Support Operations & Room Health
Execute preventative maintenance programs and recurring room sweeps across event spaces and conference rooms
Maintain and test inventory of equipment including wireless microphones, cameras, and portable production gear pre event, following event production framework
Contribute to runbooks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base documentation
Surface recurring operational pain points to AV Engineering as candidates for systemic fixes
You May Be a Good Fit If You:
Have 8+ years of hands-on experience in AV operations, live event production, or technical event support
Have owned the technical side of live productions end-to-end — not just operated a single position
Bring working fluency across event audio, video, camera, and streaming systems, with enough depth to diagnose problems rather than only report them
Are energized rather than drained by being the front-facing technical partner to executives and event producers
Bring structure to ambiguity by building systems for repeatable events
Strong Candidates May Also Have:
Technical direction for corporate broadcasts, conferences, or multi-camera productions
Q-SYS DSP platform, including reading and reasoning about existing audio/video routing and control designs
PTZ and professional camera systems, camera control units, and multi-camera workflows
Video conferencing platforms and hardware including Google Meet, Zoom Rooms, and hybrid meeting technologies
Live streaming workflows including encoders and encoding settings, contribution and delivery protocols (RTMP, SRT, HLS)
Network fundamentals for AV-over-IP including multicast, VLANs, QoS, and bandwidth management
Ticketing and workflow systems such as Jira, and building intake or request workflows within them
Coordinating AV contractors, integrators, and labor for event coverage
Role Specific Location Policy:
This role will be based in our San Francisco HQ
This role is expected to be in office 5 days per week
Occasional evening and early-morning coverage is expected around major events
4-6 weeks of travel annually will be expected for this role for distributed event support as needed
Deadline to apply: None. Applications will be received on a rolling basis.
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$285,000
—
$325,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Who You Are:
Galaxy Digital is seeking a Site Development Associate to support data center development activities in and around Waco, Texas. This role is responsible for advancing sites through entitlement and permitting, building and maintaining relationships with municipal and county officials, negotiating with landowners, and coordinating with utilities — all in support of the company's data center development pipeline. This is a hands-on, field-facing role for someone who has been through at least one real estate development from land acquisition to entitlement and is excited to apply that experience to the data center industry.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and support site entitlement efforts, including zoning, platting, land use approvals, and other local governmental approvals required to advance data center sites.
Serve as the company's primary point of contact with municipalities, counties, city councils, county commissioners, and other public officials on assigned projects.
Build and maintain working relationships with mayors, city managers, county judges, and municipal/county staff.
Prepare and deliver presentations to city councils, commissioners' courts, planning and zoning boards, and other public bodies.
Identify, evaluate, and help acquire permits required for site development, including building permits and entrance/access permits, and coordinate with public works and TxDOT/county road authorities as needed.
Coordinate with utility providers (power, water, wastewater, gas, telecom/fiber) to confirm capacity, service availability, and extension requirements for prospective sites.
Support land acquisition efforts, including sourcing prospective sites, negotiating with landowners, and structuring purchase and option agreements.
Apply working knowledge of Texas oil, gas, and mineral rights to identify and help resolve mineral, surface, and lease issues affecting site control.
Understand and help manage the basics of real estate contracts, title work, and the closing process, coordinating with legal counsel, title companies, and surveyors as needed.
Understand the basics of handling claims that may arise during due diligence, construction, or site development (e.g., title, boundary, or contractor-related claims), and know when and how to escalate them internally.
Communicate regularly and clearly with internal stakeholders — leadership, legal, engineering, and construction teams — on project status, risks, and timelines.
Develop working knowledge of data center development requirements (power, fiber, water, site criteria) and apply that knowledge to site selection and entitlement strategy.
Travel within the Lubbock region and broader Texas market as needed to support site visits, public meetings, and landowner negotiations.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in real estate development, with direct involvement in at least one completed development project from acquisition through entitlement (commercial or residential); OR equivalent experience as a landman.
Demonstrated experience entitling property and working directly with municipalities, city councils, county commissioners, or other public officials.
Comfortable and experienced presenting to public bodies, boards, and internal leadership.
Working understanding of Texas oil, gas, and mineral rights and how they can affect a real estate transaction or site.
Basic understanding of real estate purchase contracts, title, and the closing process.
Experience negotiating with landowners and/or sellers in a land acquisition context.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the company professionally to external officials and internal stakeholders alike.
Willingness and genuine interest in learning the fundamentals of data center development.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally and regionally as needed.
Bonus Points:
Commercial real estate development experience strongly preferred over residential.
Prior experience acquiring or coordinating utility, building, or entrance permits.
Existing relationships with officials or staff in Waco and surrounding municipalities/counties.
Familiarity with the basics of handling title, boundary, or construction-related claims.
Background in energy, land, or infrastructure-related real estate (landman, oil & gas land experience, utility right-of-way, etc.).
NOTE:
This position is based in Waco, Texas, with regular local travel and periodic travel elsewhere in Texas to support site visits, public meetings, and landowner negotiations.

Our systems regularly process more than 12 billion emails during peak events like Black Friday, and our throughput requirements continue to scale rapidly. As an L2 engineer, you will help build and operate backend services at scale, working alongside more senior engineers on our dual-cloud infrastructure spanning Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. You'll get hands-on with Kubernetes, contribute to Terraform-based infrastructure automation, and write production code to help keep distributed systems healthy under real production load, using modern AI-assisted tooling to move faster and ramp up your skills.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
WEAR THE CUSTOMER'S SHOES:
Help design, build, and operate services and automations that support Kubernetes clusters at scale, under the guidance of senior engineers. Work with product management and technical leadership to turn well-scoped tasks into working code.
BE AN OWNER (CODE QUALITY):
Participate in code reviews and follow established patterns and testing standards (unit and integration testing) across the team and platform.
BE AN OWNER (INFRASTRUCTURE & OBSERVABILITY):
Support cloud configurations across AWS and Azure environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). Help maintain observability coverage, including metrics, alerts, and basic distributed tracing, across core data pipelines.
CHAMPION ENGINEERING HEALTH:
Build awareness of clean architectural practices. Flag technical debt, bugs, and small-scale system issues to your team as you encounter them.
GROW AND COLLABORATE:
Actively seek feedback and mentorship from senior engineers, participate in sprint planning, and share what you learn with peers as you grow into a more senior role.
Qualifications
Twilio values diverse experiences from all kinds of industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!
Required:
Experience:
1-2+ years of professional software engineering experience, including some exposure to building or operating backend services using Kubernetes. Familiarity with basic Kubernetes operations (deployments, pods, services) is expected; deep production-scale cluster-upgrade experience is not required.
Modern Development Workflow:
Practical experience with, or strong desire to learn, AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) to help write code, automate testing, and support debugging workflows.
Deployment Orchestration:
Some exposure to GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Harness or an equivalent platform); willingness to learn our specific tooling on the job.
Language Proficiency:
Working knowledge of at least one of Shell, Terraform, YAML, or Go (Golang), with a willingness to build proficiency across the rest.
Cloud Infrastructure:
Some experience with cloud environments, ideally basic exposure to AWS core services (such as EC2, S3, EKS) or their Microsoft Azure equivalents (such as Virtual Machines, Blob Storage, AKS). General familiarity with networking concepts (VPC/VNet basics) is a plus.
Infrastructure as Code:
Basic familiarity with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
Distributed Systems:
Foundational understanding of distributed datastores, caching layers, or asynchronous event streaming (e.g., Kafka or similar queuing systems), through coursework, projects, or professional experience.
Systems Mindset:
Solid computer science fundamentals and data structures knowledge, with an eagerness to learn how to build self-healing cloud architectures.
Desired:
Some exposure to containerized infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes) in coursework, internships, or professional projects.
Curiosity about advanced deployment strategies (canary, blue/green); prior hands-on experience not required.
Interest in policy-as-code tools such as OPA/Gatekeeper.
Interest in OpenTelemetry or distributed tracing concepts.
Any exposure to network topology, proxy layers, or mail transfer agent (MTA) protocols.
Coursework or personal projects involving distributed datastores, caching, or event streaming (e.g., Kafka).
