Location: USA - Austin (dbt)
From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions. As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
Fivetran and dbt are building the open data infrastructure that powers AI agents you can trust.
Fivetran is looking for a Staff R&D Software Engineer to join our fast-growing Fivetran AI team. Your data stack was built for humans — but agents are the new primary data consumers, and they have fundamentally different requirements. Agents can’t intuit context; it must be explicitly codified, governed, and traceable. We’re building the governed context layer that solves this problem: Agents Schema, an open standard for storing agent-ready context directly in the customer’s own data warehouse, and Context Builder, the managed service that keeps it filled and fresh.
This role goes well beyond standard engineering. You’ll research emerging techniques in the fast-moving AI landscape and bring real product and market understanding to decide which ideas are worth pursuing — and then you’ll take what you’ve learned and ship it as production software. We’re looking for a true generalist who is willing and able to wear whatever hat the moment calls for: prototyping a new retrieval technique one week, hardening a backend service the next, then doing SRE or QA work when the team needs it. At this level, you’re expected to be a trusted expert beyond your own team — defining technical direction that other teams build on, taking high-level direction and turning it into concrete plans with a high degree of independence, and using sound judgment to decide what deserves your attention. Fivetran AI operates like a startup within Fivetran, and we need engineers who thrive on that range and ambiguity rather than staying in one lane.
Fivetran is the epitome of data-driven development — our engineering team is focused on building a world class product that:
Builds Infrastructure Agents Can Trust
— join our mission to deliver the governed context layer that AI agents depend on: accurate semantic definitions, traceable lineage, data contracts, and auditable history baked in from the start.
Embraces Open Standards
— help build portable, interoperable data infrastructure: Agents Schema, open formats (Iceberg, Delta Lake), MCP-native interfaces, and connector skills that work with any model and any compute.
Scales Without Breaking
— work to make Fivetran AI efficient at agent scale, where unit costs deflate as volume grows and context retrieval is fast, accurate, and cost-controlled.
We emphasize using no-nonsense tools and take great pride in the simplicity and effectiveness of the systems we build. Our back-end is built on Java, Python, Postgres, and Kubernetes, and our front-end is built on React and TypeScript.
This is a full-time hybrid position based out of our Austin, TX office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.
Technologies You’ll Use
Python, Java, SQL, dbt, LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini), vector databases, BigQuery / Snowflake / Databricks, MCP protocol, React, TypeScript, Kubernetes
What You’ll Do
Research emerging techniques in retrieval, reasoning, and agentic AI, and decide what’s actually worth pursuing for Fivetran AI’s roadmap — then convince others
Prototype new ideas quickly, then take the ones that prove out and turn them into shipped, production-grade features
Define technical direction that spans multiple teams within Fivetran AI, ensuring architecture decisions made in one area don’t create problems in another
Build and maintain both back-end and front-end systems for the Fivetran AI product — from Agents Schema pipelines to the Context Catalog UI
Drive the AISQL capability forward: natural language to SQL grounded in dbt metric definitions, executed natively against the warehouse
Take ownership of production reliability across the platform: on-call rotation, incident response, and SRE work to keep the system trustworthy at scale
Set the bar for testing and QA practices, and do hands-on QA work yourself when it matters most
Use coding agents to automate the repetitive parts of the job, freeing up time for the research and design work that needs a human
Take high-level direction from product and leadership and independently define and execute the concrete plan to get there
Mentor other engineers and raise the technical bar across the Fivetran AI team
Contribute to hiring by participating in and helping shape the interview process
Skills We’re Looking For
8+ years of programming experience across Python and/or Java, with the ability to move fluidly between back-end and front-end work
Considered a trusted expert beyond your own team, able to exert influence and define technical direction across multiple teams
Comfortable reading AI/ML research and turning promising findings into working prototypes, then production systems
Strong product and market awareness — able to judge which emerging techniques are worth building versus which are hype
Track record of taking ambiguous, high-level direction and independently defining and executing the concrete work to deliver it
Experience with SQL and data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar)
Genuine willingness to work across the full stack: research, backend, frontend, SRE, and QA, as the team’s needs demand
Writes well-structured, performant code and can dive into unfamiliar codebases to suggest improvements
Experience using coding agents or similar AI tooling to speed up day-to-day engineering work
Demonstrated ability to mentor other engineers and influence technical decisions beyond your immediate team
Thrives in a startup-like environment with shifting priorities and a high degree of ownership
Bonus Skills
Experience with LLM-powered applications — RAG pipelines, embeddings, evaluation frameworks, or agent frameworks
Familiarity with semantic layers — dbt, LookML, Sigma, or similar
Experience with the MCP (Model Context Protocol) ecosystem or building AI agent integrations
Background in site reliability engineering — monitoring, alerting, incident response
Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT) and/or building data connectors
Experienced working in a cloud environment utilizing AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, or Docker
Contributions to open source AI or data projects

Strategic Communication:
- Provide clear, timely, and objective communication across Cohere's engineering organisation, customer stakeholders, and government leadership
- Translate between AI/ML technical concepts and government-appropriate language for decision-makers who may not have deep technical backgrounds
- Present technical roadmaps and status updates to senior government officials and departmental executives
- Represent Cohere's technical capabilities in sensitive government and defence contexts.
Complex Program Management:
- Create and manage project schedules that account for government timelines, security review processes, and ministerial approval cycles
- Identify and manage dependencies across government departments, security authorities, cloud service providers, and internal Cohere teams
- Navigate risks unique to government deployments: privacy compliance, security authorisations, technical and infrastructure constraints
- Drive alignment between product development priorities and specific government requirements.
Technical Delivery & Execution:
- Ensure on-time delivery of AI solutions that meet government-grade security, privacy, accessibility, and performance standards
- Coordinate technical work across multiple teams: model customisation, security hardening, integration with government systems, bilingual support
- Establish governance checkpoints appropriate for high-stakes government deployments
- Problem-solve complex technical challenges in air-gapped, on-premises, or highly regulated environments.
You May Be a Good Fit If:

However, we will also consider exceptional candidates who:
- Currently hold UK government Secret clearance and are eligible for TS upgrade
- Do not currently hold clearance, but are eligible and willing to undergo the Top Secret clearance process
- Have a previous government security clearance that has lapsed
Please note that obtaining Top Secret clearance can take 12-18 months. Candidates without active clearance will work on non-classified public sector accounts while the clearance process is underway.

About Wolt
At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.
The Sustainability & Community Impact team at DoorDash works across our global brands — DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo — to advance the company's approach to the issues that matter most to our business, our communities, and the world we operate in. We sit within the Policy and Communications function and work closely with other teams on a daily basis.
We're hiring a
Lead, Global ESG Reporting Strategy
to build and lead DoorDash's global ESG reporting function from the ground up. This is a new role: the first dedicated strategic owner of ESG disclosures across the company. As regulations proliferate across jurisdictions (from the EU's CSRD to California's SB 253 to Australia's Modern Slavery Act), DoorDash needs someone to bring clarity, structure, and strategic thinking to a landscape that is growing in both volume and complexity.
The role spans more ground than a traditional ESG reporting function: alongside disclosure strategy and regulatory compliance, you'll own our GHG measurement program and Scopes 1 & 2 emissions strategy, and manage the growing volume of ESG data requests we receive from enterprise partners.
What you’ll be doing
You'll set the strategy, build the infrastructure, and become the internal expert on all things ESG reporting and disclosure.
Own DoorDash's
global strategy for ESG-related disclosures
— determining how, when, and at what level of ambition we respond to mandatory regulations, voluntary frameworks, and reputational expectations across all jurisdictions including the EU, UK, US, Canada, and Australia
Act as the internal expert and cross-functional DRI on ESG reporting, aligning Legal, Finance and Technical Accounting, IR, Communications, Policy, HR, and Operations around a coherent approach and holding the narrative and numbers together across all external-facing disclosures
Build the reporting infrastructure, processes, and governance needed for the company to meet its disclosure obligations efficiently and consistently — establishing what doesn't yet exist and improving on what does
Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise partner ESG data requests, building processes to address a growing volume of vendor questionnaires, framework-specific data fields, and merchant-facing disclosures in a scalable way
Oversee GHG measurement — working closely with a measurement vendor, coordinating data collection across the business, and ensuring our approach is audit-ready as assurance requirements mature
Own DoorDash's Scopes 1 & 2 emissions strategy — building a forward-looking plan to drive operational efficiency across our facilities
Our humble expectations
Meaningful experience in ESG, sustainability reporting, compliance, or a closely related field — with hands-on ownership of major reporting frameworks such as CSRD/ESRS, TCFD, GRI, SASB, Modern Slavery, and/or CDP
A genuine builder mindset: you've created reporting infrastructure or processes from scratch before, not just maintained what someone else built (and you're energized by that kind of work)
Strong cross-functional influencer who can align stakeholders across Legal, Finance, IR, and Operations without direct authority, and who is comfortable being the person others look to for direction rather than waiting to be told what to do
Excellent written communication skills — you can draft a regulatory disclosure, write an internal strategy memo, and brief a senior stakeholder, all with equal fluency and appropriate calibration to your audience
A principled, business-grounded view of ESG: you take compliance seriously, bring genuine expertise to the space, and can advise leadership on where to invest and lead versus where meeting requirements is the right call
What we offer
This is a rare opportunity to build a new function and strategy, with real visibility across a global company. You'll be joining at an exciting moment: before the wave of regulatory requirements fully lands. The work is substantive and growing — from CSRD groundwork to enterprise partner data requests to our Scopes 1 & 2 strategy — and the cross-functional network you'll build (Legal, Finance, IR, Comms, Ops) means you'll have meaningful exposure from day one.
Next steps
Our process includes a short screener after resume review, followed by a series of interviews.
Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
We’re committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our company, industry, and cities. That’s why we hire and cultivate diverse teams of people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We believe that true innovation happens when everyone has room at the table and the tools, resources, and opportunity to excel.

As part of the Technology Distribution team of Tether Data, we are seeking an Engagement Manager to lead the implementation of AI-driven initiatives powered by QVAC, Tether’s SDK for local AI and delegated inference. The role focuses on orchestrating complex, multi-stakeholder deployments of decentralized AI solutions across enterprise, government, and institutional environments.
This position combines client engagement, technical coordination, and delivery oversight to ensure successful onboarding and execution of AI use cases, ranging from edge AI deployments to privacy-preserving inference systems. The Engagement Manager plays a central role in aligning client objectives with product capabilities, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, and driving implementations from initial scoping through production rollout.
Responsibilities
Client & Partner Engagement
Act as the primary point of contact for clients and partners during AI implementation initiatives, ensuring clear communication, expectation alignment, and structured execution.
Guide clients in translating business requirements into AI deployment strategies leveraging QVAC capabilities (local inference, delegated compute, privacy-preserving architectures).
Support Expansion team in shaping AI-related opportunities by providing input on feasibility, integration complexity, and delivery approach.
Identify opportunities to extend implementations across additional use cases, geographies, or Tether technologies.
Implementations Oversight
Lead end-to-end coordination of QVAC-based implementations from kickoff through production deployment.
Define implementation roadmaps, milestones, and dependencies across AI models, infrastructure, and integration layers.
Ensure alignment between client expectations and actual product capabilities, avoiding scope drift or mispositioning.
Track progress across multiple concurrent AI deployments, ensuring timely delivery and readiness for production environments.
Cross-functional Coordination
Coordinate closely with product, engineering, and research teams to align on QVAC capabilities, limitations, and roadmap evolution.
Facilitate integration between client systems and QVAC components, including model deployment pipelines, APIs, and compute environments.
Work with legal and compliance teams where required, particularly in sensitive AI deployments involving data locality or privacy constraints.
Maintain structured communication flows across all stakeholders involved in the implementation lifecycle.
Governance & Reporting
Establish and maintain governance frameworks including implementation plans, risk tracking, and decision logs.
Produce executive-level updates summarizing progress, risks, blockers, and next steps.
Ensure documentation of implementation architectures, deployment patterns, and key learnings for reuse across future projects.
Support escalation management and ensure timely resolution of technical or operational challenges.
Core Experience
5+ years of experience in program management, technical account management, or delivery roles within AI, data infrastructure, or complex technology environments.
Proven experience managing cross-functional implementations involving multiple stakeholders (internal teams, clients, external partners).
Strong ability to operate at the intersection of technical and business domains.
Technical Understanding
Familiarity with AI/ML deployment concepts, including model inference, edge/local AI, and distributed compute architectures.
Understanding of APIs, SDK integrations, and system architecture patterns.
Ability to engage in technical discussions with engineering teams while maintaining business-level clarity with clients.
Communication & Execution
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with enterprise or government entities.
Structured approach to project tracking, documentation, and governance.
Ability to manage ambiguity and operate in fast-evolving, early-stage environments.
Nice to Have
Experience with decentralized technologies, blockchain, or privacy-preserving systems.
Exposure to AI infrastructure tooling or MLOps workflows.
Experience in regulated industries or public sector projects.
