About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic sells Claude through partners as well as directly. In the public sector, those partners matter more than anywhere else. As Channel Partner Manager, Public Sector, you will own Anthropic's reseller and distributor relationships across US federal, state and local government, and you will build the operations that let those partners transact with us quickly and cleanly.
Your time will be split roughly evenly between two kinds of work. The first is partner management. You will be the primary Anthropic contact for our public sector partners, agree on a joint plan with each of them, and work with our public sector account teams so that partner and direct motions support each other rather than collide. The second is channel operations. You will onboard new partners, instance an agreement for each of them, run deal registration, administer rebates, and keep the program's processes and records in order.
Every partner adds a fixed amount of operational work regardless of revenue, so the processes you build will determine how quickly public sector customers can buy. Much of this does not exist at Anthropic yet, and building it to a standard our partners and teams can rely on will be a large part of your first year.
You will work closely with Legal, Finance and with our public sector sales team on pipeline. You will also work with the public sector teams at the cloud providers and through cloud environments that meet federal security requirements such as FedRAMP.
Key responsibilities
Own Anthropic's relationships with our public sector partners, acting as their primary point of contact and building relationships with their public sector and alliance leadership
Agree on a joint business plan with each partner covering target segments, contract vehicles, pipeline, enablement and marketing, and run regular business reviews against it
Work with our federal, state and local, and education account teams to align partner and direct motions, clear conflicts early, and route each opportunity through the right partner and contract vehicle
Run partner onboarding end to end, from application and diligence through agreement execution, enablement and a first transaction
Own partner agreements with Legal, keeping contract vehicle coverage and program terms current
Own deal registration for the public sector channel, making sure registrations are submitted, validated and conflict cleared, and that every deal names its end customer
Manage partner rebates and program incentives with Finance
Build and run the channel's operating processes, including quoting, order handling and partner reporting, with clear service levels and documentation
Work with the cloud providers' public sector teams so that partner deals run cleanly through cloud marketplaces and authorized cloud environments
Forecast and report partner sourced pipeline and resale revenue for the public sector channel, and own that number with the reseller program and public sector sales leadership
Own partner escalations end to end, from billing and contracting questions to deal conflicts, and resolve them with the right internal owner
Represent what public sector partners and buyers need to the central reseller program team, and feed what you learn back into how the program works
Minimum qualifications
7+ years in channel, partner or alliances roles in enterprise software or cloud, including at least 3 years focused on the US public sector
Direct experience managing reseller or distributor relationships that sell to government or education buyers
Working knowledge of how public sector buyers purchase technology, including contract vehicles, two-tier distribution, and the role of resellers in public procurement
Working fluency in channel program mechanics, including deal registration, partner onboarding, margin and rebates
Experience running channel or partner operations, including agreements, program administration, reporting, and the systems behind them
Experience building processes and working rhythms from zero, and comfort joining a new program early
Clear written and spoken communication with Legal, Finance and Sales teams, and the judgment to hold program rules under commercial pressure
Excitement about Anthropic's mission to develop AI that is safe and beneficial
Preferred qualifications
Experience with FedRAMP and with selling software that runs in authorized cloud environments
Experience with federal, state and education contract vehicles
Experience with cloud marketplace resale for public sector buyers, including private offers
Experience on the reseller or distributor side of a vendor relationship, as well as the vendor side
Familiarity with how government agencies and education institutions are evaluating and adopting AI
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

Every time Claude runs code, uses a computer, or works as an agent, it does so inside a sandbox. Our Sandboxing team builds the isolation layer behind that work. The same systems run the code Claude writes for users, the environments we train and evaluate models in, and the agents our customers deploy.
These workloads are untrusted by design, and there are a lot of them. Sandboxes need to start in milliseconds, hold up under adversarial code, and scale to a very large number of concurrent sessions. You will work at the boundary between the Linux kernel, virtualization, and the container ecosystem. You will partner with research, product, and security teams to make sure that safe and fast do not trade off against each other.
Key responsibilities
Design, build, and operate the sandboxing infrastructure that runs untrusted, model-generated code and agent workloads at scale
Improve sandbox startup time, density, and throughput, including snapshot and restore, checkpointing, and warm pools
Strengthen isolation across compute, filesystem, and network, including egress controls and per-session credential handling
Investigate and fix performance, reliability, and security issues at the kernel, hypervisor, and container runtime level
Build the monitoring, tracing, and debugging tools that show where time and resources go inside a sandbox
Work with researchers to support reinforcement learning environments and evaluations that need fast, reproducible, isolated execution
Work with product and platform engineers to expose sandboxes as a dependable, well-designed capability for Claude products and customers
Partner with security teams to threat-model the platform and to test, harden, and respond to escape and abuse scenarios
Work with cloud providers on the hardware and platform features that our workloads depend on
Share knowledge on systems programming and Linux internals, and help set technical standards for the team
Minimum qualifications
Software engineering experience in Linux systems programming, kernel development, or another low-level area
Strong programming skills in at least one systems language such as Rust, C, C++, or Go
Working knowledge of virtualization or container isolation technologies such as KVM, QEMU, Firecracker, gVisor, or runc
Understanding of Linux resource management, including namespaces, cgroups, scheduling, and memory management
Experience profiling and debugging performance issues at the system level
Ability to work in unfamiliar codebases and technical areas, and to ship practical solutions with measurable results
Strong communication skills and a commitment to building safe, reliable systems
Preferred qualifications
Experience building or operating a multi-tenant sandbox, serverless, or code execution platform
Experience with microVMs, user-space kernels, or lightweight virtualization, including snapshot and restore
Experience with OS-level security hardening, including seccomp, LSMs, and threat modeling of untrusted code
Experience with eBPF and kernel tracing tools
Experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure at scale (AWS, GCP)
Experience with network isolation, high-performance networking, or building egress proxies and policy layers
Experience with sandboxes for AI agents, computer use, or reinforcement learning environments
Experience with GPU virtualization, accelerators, or performance work on machine learning workloads
Prior experience as a technical lead or mentor
Representative projects
Cutting sandbox cold start from seconds to milliseconds with snapshot-based restore and pre-warmed pools
Designing a network egress policy layer so agents can reach approved services without exposing secrets
Running many thousands of parallel reinforcement learning environments with strong isolation between them
Building tracing tools that attribute latency and resource use inside a running sandbox
Reducing per-sandbox memory overhead to raise density on each host
Hardening the runtime against escape attempts found in internal red-team exercises

Anthropic's EMEA Startups team works with the companies building AI-native products on Claude, from Seed through Series B and beyond. The Growth Account Executive owns a portfolio of startups that are already building on Claude and is responsible for growing that relationship: deepening Claude's role in the customer's product, structuring the commercial agreements that support their scale, and defending the account as the competitive landscape shifts.
This is a consultative role. Native AI companies move fast, change direction often, and make decisions on technical merit. Earning a seat at the table means building real relationships with founders and technical leaders, understanding their product and roadmap as well as they do, and helping them build on the frontier — bringing them the latest models and capabilities early, showing them what's possible, and turning that into adoption. Commercial outcomes follow from that trust.
You work closely with our Applied AI (AAI) team, who bring deep technical partnership to our highest-potential accounts, but you are expected to understand what each customer is building and identify the next use case yourself. Helping customers build on the frontier is part of this job, not something you hand off.
Responsibilities
Own a portfolio of high-potential AI-native startups across EMEA, with full accountability for revenue growth and retention
Build long-term, trusted relationships with founders, CTOs and technical leads, acting as their advisor on how to build with Claude
Help customers build on the frontier: bring new model releases and capabilities to them early, work through where they apply, and drive adoption into the core of the product
Develop use cases: understand each customer's product and roadmap, identify where Claude can go deeper, and make it happen
Structure, size and time usage-based commitments, including multi-surface agreements across the Claude API, Claude Code and Claude for Work
Navigate competitive pressure, including aggressive discounting, with a clear point of view on value rather than price
Partner with the Applied AI team on technical strategy for your accounts and coordinate their involvement where it creates the most leverage
Build and maintain relationships across the EMEA VC and accelerator ecosystem to source and qualify pipeline
Bring structured feedback from your portfolio to Product and Go-to-Market leadership
You may be a good fit if you have
5+ years of quota-carrying experience in consumption or usage-based sales at a cloud provider, infrastructure, data platform or developer tools company
A track record of expanding existing accounts: you have carried a growth or expansion number and understand how commits, credits and usage curves work
A consultative selling style, with evidence that customers treat you as an advisor rather than a vendor
Experience selling to early- and growth-stage startups and comfort with the pace and informality of founder-led companies
Enough technical depth to hold a credible conversation with a CTO about APIs, model selection and AI product architecture, and to recognise where a new capability fits
Existing relationships in the European startup, VC or accelerator ecosystem
Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus
Strong candidates often have
Time inside a startup, not just selling to them
Hands-on experience building with LLMs, even on side projects
A history of describing wins by what the customer built rather than the size of the deal

Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) embeds with our most strategic customers to build production AI systems on Claude. The team takes on work where no playbook exists yet, turns what works into repeatable patterns for partners and our field teams, and brings what it learns back to Product and Research. Demand for FDE is well ahead of the team's capacity, and the team is growing quickly across the Americas, Europe and Asia.
We're hiring a dedicated Strategy & Operations Lead for FDE. You'll be the strategy partner to FDE leadership and own the plan: headcount and capacity, the mix of work the team takes on, how engagements are priced and measured, and how more of the work moves to partners. You'll run the business reviews and build the reporting leadership uses to make these calls.
You'll sit on our GTM Strategy & Operations team, dedicated full time to FDE. You'll work closely with Finance, Deal Desk, Legal, Revenue Operations, Partnerships and Applied AI, and with the FDE program leads who run pre-sales and delivery. This is a hands-on role. You'll build the models and dashboards yourself and use Claude to automate as much of the reporting as you can.
Key responsibilities:
Own the plan.
Build FDE's annual and quarterly plan: headcount and hiring by region and role, capacity, utilization, and the mix of commercial, research and mission-driven engagements.
Model demand and capacity.
Build the demand, capacity and staffing models behind the plan, with scenarios leadership can use for hiring and prioritization decisions.
Run the business reviews.
Lead FDE's monthly and quarterly reviews. Set KPIs with FDE leadership, own the scorecard, and write the materials for GTM and company leadership.
Build the reporting.
Work with Revenue Operations and Data Science to get engagement, staffing and outcome data into our systems so reporting runs without manual work. Measure what engagements lead to: production launches, consumption, expansion, and patterns partners reuse.
Shape the commercial model.
Partner with Finance, Deal Desk and Legal on how FDE engagements are priced, packaged, discounted and contracted, and track the economics of the portfolio.
Scale through partners.
Build the plan and the economics for moving more work to delivery partners: which engagements partners own, co-deliver or get Anthropic advice on, what capacity they need, and how we measure their quality and cost.
Design the org.
Work with FDE leadership and People on new roles, manager spans and where new headcount lands as the team grows.
Lead cross-functional projects.
Take on questions that span Sales, Applied AI, Customer Success, Product and Research, from defining the problem through to a decision and a working process.
Automate with Claude.
Use Claude Code and agents to build and run the models, dashboards and workflows this role depends on.
Minimum qualification:
Have worked in strategy and operations, business operations, strategic finance or consulting, including direct work with a professional services, implementation, solutions engineering or forward deployed team
Understand how a services business makes and loses money: utilization, staffing mix, rates, backlog and margin, and how they connect to customer outcomes
Can build a capacity or staffing model from scratch, explain every assumption in it, and pull the data yourself with SQL
Have run planning cycles and business reviews for a senior leader and written the materials yourself
Have taken an unclear question to a recommendation, a decision and a process that other teams still use
Earn the trust of senior technical and commercial leaders and can influence them without direct authority
Are comfortable working fast with imperfect data and simple processes that you improve as you go
Use AI tools in your own work today and want to push that much further
Are excited about Anthropic's mission to build AI that is safe and beneficial
Preferred qualification:
10+ years in GTM strategy and operations, business operations or consulting
Built the operations of a professional services or FDE team through a period of fast growth
Worked on services pricing, statements of work and deal terms with Finance and Legal
Built or managed delivery partner programs, including subcontracting, co-delivery and partner economics
Experience in a consumption or usage-based business, including tying services work to product usage
Enough technical fluency to talk with engineers about how LLM applications are built (agents, evals, MCP)
Experience with Salesforce and professional services automation (PSA) tools
Experience at an AI, cloud or developer infrastructure company
Experience preparing materials for executive and board audiences

Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
As a Network Deployment and Maintenance Lead within Anthropic's Data Center Operations (DCO) organization, you will ensure the network inside our data halls is brought online and kept healthy across a growing fleet of partner-operated data centers. The scope is the network within and between data halls: the cluster network, management, telemetry, accelerator chip back-end networks, aggregation layer(s), as well as the cabling, optics, and switching around them. On the deployment side, you are engaged during planning and construction, and will be on site during late-stage construction through network delivery and receiving, cabling, integration, turn-up, validation, and acceptance. You will be the on site lead for structured handover of network delivery into production operations. On the maintenance side, you drive the network repair program including: break-fix and ticket flow, vendor RMA, sparing policies, and the SLAs which operations partners execute against. Finally, some of this work touches core networks, where you will partner with Anthropics WAN/Core network team to support campus/DC core network deployment and maintenance activities.
This is a program and execution role. You will work with the Global Capacity Delivery Program Leads, the Repairs Program Leads, and the broader Data Center Operations organization to extend network coverage across more sites and platforms as the fleet grows. Expect 50%+ travel: you get eyes on the floor at each site during network delivery, turn-up, QA, and close-out, and at sites where repair performance needs attention. Your authority comes from being on site where you foster strong relationships with on site teams. Working with third party vendors and partners, you set direction, priorities, and standards for execution. Success is defined against Anthropic-owned ticket and telemetry data you’ve built rather than self-reported status. If you have deployed and maintained data center networks at scale, are passionate about hyperscale data centers, & enjoy working in complex, fast-paced environments, we welcome you to apply.
Responsibilities Include:
Own network deployment outcomes for your assigned sites and data-hall waves: DCN, management, telemetry, Accelerator chip back-end networks, aggregation layer(s) turned up and accepted on schedule, with exceptions closed out, or risk called early enough for leadership to act.
Engage from construction kickoff and confirm network readiness ahead of each wave: pathways and fiber trays, cabling and optics on hand, receiving paths, and partner staffing, working the gaps with the site operations partner and facilities counterparts before gear arrives.
Be on site at key points during network delivery, cabling, turn-up, QA, and close-out; verify the work with your own eyes rather than from a dashboard, and support the on-site teams with your direct expertise.
Validate the handover gate for each network build: cabling and link validation complete, acceptance criteria met, documentation delivered, spares positioned, ticketing live, and a structured handover into production operations and the repair program.
Own the network repair program across the fleet: repair SLAs, prioritization, and escalation paths for switches, optics, and cabling, with turnaround time and backlog tracked in Anthropic-owned ticket and telemetry dashboards.
Manage RMA and spares for network gear with vendors and site operations partners, including warranty claims, return cycle times, and spares levels by site and part, so that parts availability never gates a repair SLA.
Lead the operating cadence with partner site leads, including weekly deployment and repair reviews and scorecards; analyze failure patterns and drive corrective actions with network engineering, suppliers, and the WAN/Core teams when the core network/MMR is involved.
Turn lessons from each deployment and repair into program standards (procedures, checklists, acceptance criteria, and metrics), and communicate status, dependencies, and risk to engineering, capacity planning, and leadership.
You may be a good fit if you:
Have 8+ years of experience in data center operations or network deployment as a manager, technical lead or related role, including accountability for delivery milestones and production availability.
Can demonstrate a proven track record leading data center network deployments at a large scale across multiple sites or data-hall waves, from early floor access through turn-up and acceptance.
Have run break-fix or repair programs for network hardware, including ticket flow, RMA, and spares, and managed vendors, OEMs, or contract workforces to measurable outcomes: milestones, SLAs, quality gates, operational reviews, and corrective action.
Possess hands-on technical depth in data center networking, including switches, structured cabling, fiber, and optics, enough to independently verify turn-up and repair quality and audit vendor claims.
Have built or substantially improved operational processes.
Are comfortable working with schedule, ticket, telemetry, and inventory data to drive decisions.
Can travel heavily and work on site for extended stretches, including during delivery surges and turn-up windows. 50% travel expected.
Possess a bachelor's degree in relevant domain or equivalent practical experience.
It’s a bonus if you have:
Experience with dense accelerator networks, including high-speed interconnect, optics, and cabling at rack and pod scale.
Experience standing up network operations at a new site or data hall, from commissioning handoff through first turn-up.
Experience managing RMA and warranty programs with network OEMs, including failure analysis and supplier quality engagement.
Experience delivering deployment and repair outcomes inside partner-operated or colocation sites where on-the-floor operations are staffed via third parties.
Familiarity with meet-me room and WAN bring-up, and with the handoffs between in-hall and building-level network teams.
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.

Anthropic is looking for a Customer Marketing Manager to make sure our most important messages are backed by customers who can speak to them. This role works across regions and customer segments on special projects tied to the company's top priorities.
When we launch a new model, feature, or initiative, you'll find the customers who can speak to it and get them on the record. We're looking for an excellent communicator who can turn customer stories into multiple formats that flex across channels. This often means working under compressed timelines and leading customer storytelling on some of the most important projects at Anthropic.
You'll work closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Brand, Comms, Customer Marketing segment leads, and the writers on our team. The right person has done both product marketing and customer marketing, and has a reporter's nose for a good story.
Key responsibilities
Own the customer evidence strategy for the company's top priorities, deciding which claims need customer proof, which customers are best placed to back them up, and where we have gaps to close
Bring what customers are telling us back to Product Marketing and Sales, so our messaging reflects what lands with buyers
Stand up new programs as company priorities shift, setting the scope, the customer list, and the plan to ship quickly
Lead the customer plan for major model and product launches, from which customers we engage with to how their voices show up in the announcement
Partner with Brand and Creative on which customer stories anchor our campaigns and how we tell them
Build proof point libraries and enablement around our key messages, so account teams know which story to use and when
Shape the customer narrative our executives use in keynotes, posts, and customer conversations
Prioritize customer asks when several teams want to tap the same customer, and work with Comms, Legal, and customer executives to get high-profile stories approved
Minimum qualifications
Can read a messaging doc and quickly spot what customer proof it needs and where the gaps are
Are a strong writer and interviewer who can get a customer to say something specific and true, then turn it into a story people want to read
Have supported product launches and campaigns with customer proof, often on tight timelines
Have built sales enablement that sales teams kept using after launch week
Are comfortable with technical products and can explain/write what a customer built, and why it matters, in plain language

As a Repairs Lead within the Data Center Infrastructure organization, you will define and manage the end-to-end hardware repair program across Anthropic's growing fleet of data centers. You will be accountable for repair turnaround time and the compute returned to service across every site, covering server, GPU/accelerator, network, and optics break-fix, RMA and reverse logistics with OEMs and ODMs, and the spares and repair inventory that keeps repair SLAs achievable. As a subject matter expert in hardware operations, you will develop scalable repair processes and quality targets, set the standards that site operations partners and repair vendors execute against, and turn failure trends into fixes which are driven upstream with engineering and equipment partners. If you are experienced in at-scale datacenter hardware operations, are passionate about HPC data centers, & enjoy working in complex, fast-paced environments, we welcome you to apply.
Responsibilities Include:
Define the global repair strategy including repair SLAs, prioritization rules, escalation paths, and reporting methods, and drive standardization across all sites.
Own repair turnaround time and repair backlog across the fleet evidenced by Anthropic-owned ticket and telemetry dashboards you help develop.
Author and improve procedures for triage, break-fix, return-to-service validation, and train site operations partners on how to execute them.
Manage RMA and reverse logistics programs with OEMs, ODMs, and depot repair vendors, including warranty claims, return cycle times, and failure analysis feedback.
Set spares pool sizing and stocking levels by site and part, in coordination with supply chain and asset management, so that parts availability never gates repair SLAs.
Analyze failure patterns across sites to identify root causes and drive corrective actions with hardware engineering, suppliers, and site operations owners.
Lead the operating cadence with vendor and site leads, including weekly repair reviews, scorecards, and business reviews, and drive corrective actions for SLA excursions.
Communicate repair constraints, risks, and fleet availability impact to engineering and leadership.
You may be a good fit if you:
Have 8+ years of experience in data center operations as a manager, technical lead or related role, including accountability for production availability.
Can demonstrate a proven track record running break-fix programs at a large scale across multiple sites.
Have managed vendors, OEMs, or contract workforces to measurable outcomes: SLAs, operational reviews, and corrective action.
Possess hands-on technical depth in server, network, and rack-level hardware, enough to independently verify repair quality and audit vendor claims.
Have built or substantially improved operational processes.
Are comfortable working with ticket, telemetry, and inventory data to drive decisions.
Possess a bachelor's degree in relevant domain or equivalent practical experience.
It’s a bonus if you have:
Experience with GPU/accelerator or high-density liquid-cooled infrastructure, including tray, cold plate, and manifold-level repair.
Experience managing RMA and warranty programs with hyperscale OEMs/ODMs, including failure analysis and supplier quality engagement.
Experience with spares planning, reverse logistics, or depot repair at data center scale.
Experience delivering repair outcomes inside partner-operated or colocation sites where on-the-floor operations are staffed via third parties.
Familiarity with optics and high-speed interconnect failures.

About the team
Anthropic's Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team is the connective tissue that holds the company accountable to its security commitments. We translate regulatory, customer, and voluntary obligations into controls that teams act on, and give leadership a bird's-eye view of how well we're meeting them. We're building toward a fundamentally different kind of GRC: one that directs Claude, with the right humans in the loop, to challenge and evidence the performance of controls continuously rather than through periodic audits.
Within Security GRC, Compliance & Audit Programs runs the integrated audit across our frameworks and maintains the Common Control Framework, the single set of controls that the whole program is built on. This role sits in Audit & Assurance and owns the framework and the assurance view across every control domain.
About the role
As part of the Security Audit & Controls team, you will own the CCF across every control domain, from access and change management to logging, encryption, and people controls: which controls we have, what each one says, how each maps to the frameworks and commitments we hold, and whether each one is actually working. You'll work with control owners and GRC Partners to draft and validate control descriptions and activities that describe reality rather than policy intent, build the monitoring that shows operating effectiveness continuously instead of once a year, and drive what monitoring finds to closure with control owners.
Building with Claude is a normal part of the job: drafting and mapping controls, testing evidence, and monitoring control health, with you deciding where human judgment stays in the loop.
This is an individual contributor role for someone who works well independently, writes clearly, and gets satisfaction from a control set that is accurate, tested, and trusted by auditors and engineers alike.
Key responsibilities
Own the Common Control Framework: the canonical control set, its mappings to SOC 2, ISO 27001/42001, HIPAA, FedRAMP, and customer commitments, and the change process for adding, retiring, or rewording controls
Draft and validate control descriptions and control activities with control owners, so each control states who does what, how often, in which system, and what evidence proves it
Design and run continuous monitoring of control efficacy: define the metrics and automated tests that show operating effectiveness, tune out false positives, surface failures to owners before an auditor does, and build the controls maturity model that shows where each control domain stands and what it takes to move up a level
Verify remediation and carry it into steady state:
GRC Partners lead remediation in their domains and control owners implement the fixes. This role advises on control design and implementation, confirms fixes against what the auditor actually asked for, and keeps one source of truth for control and finding status. Once a fix holds, it works with the partner to standardize the evidence pull and, where appropriate, automate it or build continuous
Map new frameworks and commitments onto the CCF as we commit to them, and support gap assessments when a new framework, certification, product, or entity comes into scope, using the CCF as the baseline and writing the requirements for each delta
Support the integrated audit and customer audits: readiness checks, walkthrough preparation, evidence request lists, and the readout of external findings back to GRC
Evaluate evidence reliability, including the completeness and accuracy of system-generated reports and AI-generated evidence, and set the standard for what audit-ready evidence looks like here
Build with Claude: automate control mapping, evidence testing, and monitoring, and verify machine-drafted control language before it becomes the record
Minimum qualifications
Several years in IT audit, security compliance, or controls assurance, including hands-on ownership of a control framework or control library across more than one framework (for example SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, HIPAA)
Working command of audit mechanics: scoping, walkthroughs, sampling, design versus operating effectiveness, deficiency evaluation, and evidence reliability
Experience writing control descriptions, control activities, and test procedures that other teams and external auditors relied on
Experience with continuous controls monitoring or automated evidence collection, whether you built it, ran it, or audited it
Enough technical fluency to read a runbook, a configuration, or a pipeline definition and judge whether it enforces what the written control claims
Clear writing, because your control language and status reports are what auditors, engineers, and leadership work from
Ability to get control owners and partner teams to prioritize and close work without having authority over them
Preferred qualifications
Have designed or rebuilt a common controls framework and led the remapping of existing frameworks onto it
Have stood up continuous controls monitoring or automated evidence programs and can speak to coverage, false-positive rates, and what changed as a result
Have applied LLMs to assurance work, such as control drafting, framework mapping, evidence testing, or monitoring
Have defined or assessed controls for AI systems or agents operating in production, or for home-built internal systems
Have provided requirements for a homegrown GRC platform and worked with the engineers who build it
You don't need to
Have done everything on this list. The scarce combination this role exists for is framework ownership plus the judgment to tell whether a control actually works
Write production code. The bar is fluency sufficient to read, query, and challenge
Hold every certification. CISA, CISSP, or similar are welcome and not required
Have prior AI-industry experience

Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Reinforcement learning is how Claude learns to reason, write code, and act autonomously over long horizons. The RL Scaling team works on how RL scales: what happens to throughput, stability, and learning efficiency as models get larger, episodes get longer, and compute grows by orders of magnitude, and what has to change in our algorithms and systems to keep getting returns from that scale.
This role sits squarely across research and engineering. You'll develop next-generation architectures and RL algorithms, take them from a small-scale result to a frontier-scale run, and understand every place they behave differently along the way. You'll build the systems that set how fast the team can iterate: how many experiments, at what scale, and how quickly we can trust the results. And you'll work on Anthropic's largest and fastest RL runs, where the gap between a good idea and a working one is often a problem no one has solved yet.
Key responsibilities
Study how RL training and sampling scale with model size, context length, and compute, and find the algorithmic and systems changes that keep scaling efficient
Develop next-generation model architectures and RL algorithms, and make them run efficiently at frontier scale
Take promising small-scale results to frontier-scale runs, and diagnose why they behave differently when they get there, whether the cause is numerical, algorithmic, or systemic
Build the experimental infrastructure that sets research velocity: fast, reproducible comparisons of architecture and algorithm variants at meaningful scale
Own end-to-end performance of our largest RL runs, from research code down to the hardware
Build performance and cost models for proposed architecture and algorithm changes, and use them to decide which ideas get scaled
Investigate training dynamics at scale, including instabilities, divergence, and throughput regressions, and trace them to root cause
Minimum qualifications
Deep familiarity with modern transformer language models, including their architecture, training dynamics, and the behavior of large-scale optimization
Hands-on experience training large models in a distributed setting, including the tradeoffs between data, tensor, and pipeline parallelism
A track record of original technical work in ML training or systems, such as new methods, architectures, or optimizations, demonstrated through research, open-source, or production impact
Ability to design rigorous experiments at scale, including baselines, ablations, and enough statistical care to trust a result that costs real compute
Ability to reason quantitatively about the compute, memory, and communication costs of a model or algorithm
Strong programming skills in Python and JAX or PyTorch, and comfort reading and changing code at every layer of the stack
Preferred qualifications
Research experience in reinforcement learning, optimization, or large-scale training, published or otherwise
Experience developing RL algorithms for language models
Experience with scaling laws or other quantitative models of training efficiency
Experience designing or modifying transformer architectures beyond standard configurations
Experience scaling training to large fleets of accelerators and debugging the problems that only appear at scale
Deep understanding of numerics in large-scale training, including low-precision formats and sources of instability
Familiarity with how GPU or TPU performance characteristics shape architecture and algorithm choices
Experience with C++ or Rust
Representative projects
Characterize how a new RL algorithm's throughput and learning efficiency change from small models to frontier scale, and fix what breaks
Develop a new attention variant, get it working at full scale, and measure how its quality and throughput compare to the baseline
Prepare our next largest-ever RL run: find what breaks when model size, context length, and compute all grow at once, and fix it before launch
Trace a loss instability that only appears past a certain scale to its root cause, and work out whether the fix belongs in the algorithm, the numerics, or the system
Build a model that predicts the throughput and cost of a proposed architecture change before anyone writes the kernel

Reinforcement learning is how Claude learns to reason, write code, and act autonomously over long horizons. At frontier scale, an RL run is an unusually demanding distributed system. Training, sampling, and environment execution run concurrently across a large fleet of accelerators and hosts, exchange data continuously, and have to keep making progress while hardware fails, load shifts, and the research changes underneath them. How well that system holds together determines how much of our compute turns into learning, and how quickly the team can try the next idea.
As a Research Engineer on the Distributed Systems team within RL Engineering, you'll work on whatever part of that system is the current limit. That might be scheduling and placement, data movement between components, running large numbers of sandboxed environments, storage and checkpointing, networking, fault tolerance, autoscaling, or the observability that tells us what a run is actually doing. We're looking for generalists: engineers who can move between these layers, reason from first principles about a system they haven't seen before, and pick the problem that matters most rather than the one closest to their prior experience.
Our system changes as fast as the research does, correctness under failure matters as much as throughput, and the best solutions often come from understanding the ML workload well enough to know which guarantees it actually needs. Strong candidates have built and run large distributed systems, care about getting the details right, and want to apply that experience to a workload that is very large, very heterogeneous, and changing quickly.
Key responsibilities
Design, build, and operate the distributed systems that run RL at scale, across training, sampling, and environment execution
Find and remove whatever currently limits the system, whether it's scheduling, data movement, storage, networking, or coordination
Build fault tolerance into every layer: failure detection, isolation, and recovery that keep long-running jobs making progress without human intervention
Design resource management and autoscaling so that compute follows demand as a run's needs shift
Build observability that makes it possible to understand what a run is doing and why it slowed down, stalled, or produced unexpected results
Build automation that detects and remediates common problems, and design interfaces that let engineers and automated tools operate runs safely
Work with researchers and performance engineers to make sure systems changes preserve training correctness and don't introduce subtle nondeterminism
Remove classes of failure at their source through incident review, testing, and redesign, and write clear design documents for what you build
Minimum qualifications
Strong software engineering skills in Python and at least one systems language such as Rust, C++, or Go
Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production
Deep understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including consistency, coordination, consensus, failure modes, and recovery
Ability to reason quantitatively about throughput, latency, and resource costs across compute, memory, storage, and network
Experience debugging complex failures across many hosts and services, including failures you can't reproduce locally
Strong written communication, including design documents and incident writeups
Preferred qualifications
Experience running ML training or inference infrastructure at scale
Experience across several layers of the stack, such as scheduling, storage, networking, and orchestration
Experience building schedulers, autoscalers, or resource management systems
Experience with container orchestration such as Kubernetes, and with sandboxed or virtualized code execution at scale
Experience with high-performance networking, RDMA, or collective communication libraries
Experience building observability or automated remediation for large fleets
Experience with async Python frameworks such as Trio or asyncio
Familiarity with reinforcement learning or large language model training workloads
Representative projects
Design a scheduler that places training, sampling, and environment work across a heterogeneous cluster while respecting network topology and failure domains
Build a failure detection and recovery system that lets a long-running job survive host and network failures with minimal lost work
Scale environment execution substantially without increasing tail latency for the training step
Design an autoscaling policy that rebalances compute across components as a run's bottleneck shifts
Build a diagnostics system that explains why a run's throughput dropped and proposes a fix
Trace a rare data corruption bug across many services to a race condition in a recovery path, and redesign the path so the class of bug can't recur
Design the operational interface for a run so that automated tools can safely diagnose and adjust it under human oversight

Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Data Center Security Engineering (DCSE) secures Anthropic's data center footprint; this role covers how the sites are designed and built to be secure. Much of that footprint is designed and built with partners, so a site's security is decided early: in what Anthropic hands the people who build it, and in how rigorously the delivered systems are tested against it.
You'll design and specify the physical security systems for a site: perimeter and vehicle barriers, intrusion detection, video, security lighting, and the site penetrations and utility entry points that bypass them. Design firms and integrators produce the site drawings and install; you specify, review, and verify. You'll write the performance requirement and verification method behind each control, review every site design against them at each stage with redlines a design team can act on, test in the field that what was built performs as specified, and re-verify post-acceptance changes.
This is a foundational role. You'll own Anthropic's physical security reference design package (typical details, reference drawings, schedules, and test procedures) in the form partners build from, and keep it current against each site's threat basis and the sites actually being built. You'll set the technical position for a site and decide what applies where; where a requirement can't be met as written, you'll engineer the compensating control and document the deviation. You'll work with the rest of DCSE, with Anthropic's design, construction, and real estate counterparts, and directly with the vendors who build to the package. We use Claude throughout our engineering workflow and expect you to as well.
The same seat covers the team's security operations control rooms. You'll set their design and operational requirements and accept delivered systems against them, working day to day alongside the team's platform engineers, who own the software and compute that run in them.
This role involves regular travel to data center sites. These are critical services, and this role participates in an on-call rotation for them.
Key responsibilities
Produce a vendor-ready design package
for perimeter barriers and hostile vehicle mitigation, intrusion detection and its zoning, video coverage, security lighting matched to camera performance, and penetration protection: performance specifications, typical details and reference drawings, and device and zone schedules, written so a design firm can build to them and a test can prove them
Define the per-site engineering basis:
which requirements apply to a site based on its risk profile and the threats it faces, with compensating controls and documented deviations
Write the acceptance criteria and test methods:
the verification method behind each requirement and the evidence a site must produce to pass acceptance
Set standoff, structural hardening, and site layout criteria
for new designs, tied to the threat basis they derive from
Run field verification:
commissioning and acceptance testing of perimeter, detection, video, and lighting against performance criteria (detection coverage tests, photometric measurements, video quality checks)
Write the operational and design requirements for security operations control rooms:
console layout, wall versus workstation content, supervisor placement; room network, power, backup, and resilient communications to the team's segmentation and hardening baseline
Own control room acceptance:
factory and site acceptance criteria written before the build, then accept or reject delivered systems (video wall, consoles, cabling, fit-out) against them
Minimum qualifications
Have designed or specified physical security systems (perimeter barriers, intrusion detection, video, security lighting) for campus-scale sites: multiple buildings, a secured perimeter, many detection zones
Read and produce construction documents (site plans, civil and electrical drawings, device schedules, submittals) using standard design and markup tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Bluebeam, and find what is missing as readily as what is wrong
Write performance requirements that are testable: each states what must be true, how it will be verified, and what evidence shows it
Have run commissioning and acceptance tests against performance criteria and rejected work that did not meet them
Derive requirements from a threat basis rather than a product catalog: you can say which adversary a control stops and where the next weakest point is
Have owned an engineering domain where you set the approach, chose what applied to each site, worked directly with vendors, and answered for the result
Preferred qualifications
Experience carrying a physical security design from construction documents through construction to acceptance testing
Experience engineering the security scope of colocation or partner-delivered facilities
Working knowledge of published standards for standoff, hostile vehicle mitigation, and intrusion detection zoning
Photometric and video quality measurement experience
Control room, AV, or network design experience: console layouts, video wall systems, resilient communications
Experience using AI-assisted tooling for drafting and review as a core part of your workflow

Anthropic's go-to-market engine runs on Salesforce: how leads become pipeline, how deals are tracked and forecast, how customers renew and expand, and how partners work alongside our sellers. As a Business Systems Analyst, you'll be responsible for how one of those core motions is represented in system, and a trusted partner to GTM leadership when they want to change how it works.
We're looking for someone who operates at the intersection of three things: a strategist who can sit with GTM leaders and shape how they want to understand their part of the business, an analyst who can turn that into rigorous process and data design, and a builder who's comfortable enough in Salesforce to ship meaningful parts of it themselves. You can move fluidly between whiteboard, requirements doc, and admin console. You'll partner deeply with RevOps on the operating model and with our Salesforce developers on anything that needs code.
Where you might sit
We're hiring across several parts of the customer lifecycle. Placement depends on your background and where you can have the most impact.
Opportunity Acceleration:
Owns how deals are tracked, forecast, and credited in Salesforce, from stage design and forecasting to the ownership and team structures behind them. You'll partner with sales leadership to make pipeline something everyone can trust and sellers can work quickly.
Lead-to-Pipeline:
Owns how leads, inbound demand, and BDR outreach become qualified pipeline: lifecycle stages, routing and ownership, handoff rules, and the tools BDRs and sellers work in every day. You'll partner with BDR, marketing, and sales leadership to make the path from first touch to open opportunity faster and easier to measure.
Post-Sales:
Owns the systems behind renewals, expansion, and customer coverage: how post-sale opportunities are created, forecast, and worked by account management and customer success. You'll give post-sales leaders a clear, trustworthy view of the customer base and the tools to act on it.
Partnerships:
Owns how partner-sourced and co-sell deals are registered, attributed, and worked alongside our sellers, including the partner-facing processes and reporting leadership relies on. You'll help turn a fast-growing channel into a motion the business can measure and scale.
Key responsibilities
Own the design of your core funnel domain in Salesforce: lifecycle stages, process, exit and handoff criteria, key fields, and the automation and guardrails that keep the data trustworthy
Partner with GTM leadership on how their motion runs and how they want to see it, and make the tradeoff calls on what teams enter versus what insight that data unlocks
Partner with RevOps to systematize how GTM teams are structured, assigned, and credited: ownership, routing, coverage, splits, and the territory and role structures those depend on
Operationalize the methodology in system, turning frameworks and process discipline into fields, validation, scoring, and in-context guidance that people actually use
Act as data-model steward for your domain and its closest neighbors: the named approver for new fields, automation, and integrations touching those objects, and the keeper of why each one exists
Build and ship declarative solutions yourself where that's the right call, and write specs clean enough that our developers can build the rest without five rounds of clarification
Own the seams to the neighboring stages of the customer lifecycle (lead handoff, opportunity, quote-to-cash, renewal, partner attribution) so the experience is coherent end to end even where the build sits with another team
Evaluate and configure tooling that accelerates the motion: routing, activity capture, sequencing, deal inspection, account planning
Run discovery, UAT, enablement, and adoption measurement for everything you ship; help raise the bar for how BSA work is done on this team
Minimum qualifications
Experience in GTM/Revenue systems as a Business Systems Analyst, Sales Systems Lead, or RevOps Systems role, with real ownership of work in a core funnel domain such as lead management, opportunity and pipeline, renewals and account management, or partner channel
Experience designing and rolling out a lifecycle, process model, or forecasting motion at a fast-growing company, owning it from discovery through enablement and adoption
Credibility with GTM stakeholders: you've been in the pipeline review, forecast call, or planning session, and you can push back when there's a better answer
Hands-on Salesforce skills, with comfort building meaningful parts of your own solution (Flow, validation, assignment and routing, page and Path design) and specs that make the handoff to developers clean
Crisp communication across GTM teams, leadership, RevOps, and engineers, adjusting altitude for each
Preferred qualifications
5+ years of experience in GTM/Revenue systems roles
Salesforce Administrator certification
Advanced Administrator, Business Analyst, or Sales Cloud Consultant certification
Experience partnering with RevOps or Sales Strategy on team-structure questions (ownership, routing, splits, territory) and turning those decisions into working system design
Experience across more than one part of the customer lifecycle, such as lead, opportunity, renewal, or partner
Curiosity about AI-assisted systems work and eagerness to fold it into how you design, build, and document; prior hands-on use is a strong plus

We are seeking an experienced public opinion researcher to build and expand Anthropic's in-house polling and research function. This role will be fundamental to understanding how key audiences — from policymakers and third-party groups to the general public — perceive and respond to Anthropic's policy positions, messages, and campaigns. This is a foundational role: you'll establish the research function from the ground up, with high autonomy and limited precedent.
The Central Policy team sits at the operational heart of Anthropic's policy function — distinct from government relations and communications, but essential to enabling both. You'll work cross-functionally to ensure our policy and communications strategy is grounded in a rigorous understanding of stakeholder sentiment. The polling insights you generate will directly feed into high-visibility campaigns and will be a key asset in our policy efforts in Washington and beyond.
Anthropic is equal parts research lab, policy think-tank, and technology startup. We care deeply about the safe development of AI systems and build partnerships with governments through proactive, opinionated, substantive policy conversations. This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of AI policy, bringing rigorous research discipline to policy strategy.
Success in this role means establishing trusted relationships with leading polling firms around the world, delivering high-quality research on a regular cadence, and becoming the internal expert on how key audiences perceive AI, Anthropic, and Anthropic's positions and messages. You'll translate polling insights into strategic recommendations that measurably improve campaign effectiveness, and build scalable processes that allow the function to grow efficiently as demand increases.
Key responsibilities
Develop a comprehensive strategy for our in-house political research function that aligns with Anthropic's policy goals
Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with leading research and polling firms, ensuring coverage across demographics, geographies, and political perspectives
Conduct detailed, proactive research to test core messages, policy proposals, and campaign themes, and to evaluate Anthropic's brand perception and performance
Execute rapid-response polling to quickly assess Anthropic's messaging strategy in response to external events, policymaker actions, competitive developments, or emerging opportunities
Work with external affairs colleagues (federal, state, and international) and policy communications to identify research priorities, interpret findings, and translate insights into actionable strategic recommendations
Develop and maintain a knowledge management system for polling data, insights, and recommendations that ensures findings are accessible and actionable
Manage polling vendors at scale, including vendor performance management
Participate in strategy sessions and provide thought partnership on the design of messages, policy proposals, and campaigns ahead of polling and testing
Create clear, compelling deliverables that distill polling findings into insights and recommendations
Identify opportunities to build and scale the polling function over time, including staffing needs, process improvements, and capability expansion
Track and report on the impact and utility of research, measuring how insights translate into more effective campaigns and strategic decisions
Minimum qualifications
Experience designing and executing public opinion research, including survey and questionnaire design, sampling approaches, and message testing
Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative polling data and translate findings into clear, decision-ready written recommendations
Experience selecting, briefing, and managing external polling or research vendors
Strong writing and presentation skills, including distilling complex research for senior, non-technical audiences
Preferred qualifications
8+ years of professional experience in political or public opinion research, ideally spanning multiple campaign cycles and policy environments
Corporate public affairs experience, ideally in a highly scrutinized or regulated industry
Strategic thinking that spots emergent issues, identifies and tests the right messages, and translates those insights into tactical recommendations
A track record of building relationships with vendors, external experts, and complex stakeholder ecosystems
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintain clear priorities, and deliver on tight timelines
Comfort operating in ambiguous environments, taking ownership of problems, and proactively driving initiatives with limited precedent
A resourceful, collaborative working style and genuine commitment to being a strong teammate
Passion for AI policy and alignment with Anthropic's safety mission and commitment to responsible AI development
