What you’ll be part of
Garner is on a mission to transform the U.S. healthcare system — and we’re the only proven player doing exactly that. We partner with employers to redesign how healthcare works: applying 550+ proprietary clinical metrics across 80+ specialties to a dataset of 320M+ patients to identify the best-performing doctors, then using compelling incentives to steer members to the care that helps them get healthier, faster.
The result is a rare “win win” — better care and lower costs for both members and employers. In just five years, our work has helped over 2.5 million people access higher-quality care and saved $1B in healthcare costs. We recently raised our Series E and have doubled five years running. If you've ever wanted your work to solve a problem that touches every person in this country, this is the opportunity to do exactly that. You'd be joining a team fundamentally reimagining healthcare in the U.S. — and using AI to scale that impact further and faster than anyone else can.
Who we want:
This is a role for someone who wants to work on a hard problem, deliver real impact and be pushed to be the best version of themselves. As a Solutions Consultant VP, you’ll be embedded in the Revenue team and report directly to the VP, Solutions Consulting. In this role, you'll work closely with our sales representatives to convey Garner's value proposition and technical product design to high-value prospective customers. With the support of Garner's Data and Product teams, you will design solutions to serve new business and serve as a technical liaison for our clients.
What you will do:
Develop a deep understanding of Garner’s Employer and Provider products and our clinical methodologies
Serve as the subject matter expert in presenting our cutting-edge healthcare platforms during the sales process
Help manage relationships with high-value prospects
Clearly and persuasively communicate Garner’s capabilities and unique value propositions
Project-manage technical solution design and RFP responses to support critical new business opportunities
Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies, leveraging this knowledge to drive product enhancements
Who we're looking for:
A minimum of 6 years of experience in healthcare consulting or technical sales, including at least 2 years in a role dedicated to presenting complex and data-rich methodologies and analyses
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of developing and implementing successful platform strategies
An ability to manage complex projects and achieve results against tight deadlines
A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment preferred
A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system
A desire to do work that matters: and to be held to a high standard while doing it. You're energized by a mission with measurable outcomes, not just good intentions. You engage with AI tools as part of how you do your best work, and hold yourself accountable to outcomes that matter beyond your team’s metrics.
This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing company in a transformative role, helping shape the future of healthcare.
Please note: we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
What you’ll get here:
You’ll work on problems that matter, at a company working to change healthcare at scale. You’ll work at the intersection of AI and systemic healthcare reform, where the problems we solve are as interesting and compelling as the mission.
At Garner, you’ll take on real, ambitious problems with real ownership and autonomy, alongside exceptional, principles-based people who genuinely want you to win. It’s demanding by design. You’ll be challenged to stretch beyond what you thought possible and receive consistent coaching to help you grow and do the best work of your career. This isn't the right fit for everyone, and that's intentional. The people here are driven by what's at stake for real people, and that's what gives our intensity its purpose.
Compensation Transparency:
The total compensation range for this position is $250,000 - $285,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. We are looking for an ML Engineer to own the production inference stack for our text-to-speech (TTS) and speech recognition (ASR) models, end to end. Our research team delivers trained model checkpoints; you will productionize them as low-latency, real-time streaming services that run cost-efficiently on GPUs. You will bridge research and production, and own latency, throughput, cost and accuracy as we scale.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Build and optimize streaming inference engines for TTS and ASR models, including multi-stage model pipelines.

- Deploy and operate GPU inference services on Kubernetes: autoscaling, containerization and infrastructure as code.
- Build CI/CD for model artifacts, with model versioning and reproducible releases.

- Partner with research to productionize new models.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Hands-on experience deploying, scaling and optimizing ML models in production, beyond consuming model APIs.

We encourage all employees to contribute their individual talents and ideas to strengthen our team, our brand, and our services. We promote a culture that serves to empower and motivate employees beyond the standard corporate rhetoric one might see on motivational posters. Employees understand their individual roles in serving our customers, and this clarity of purpose encourages high job performance.
Position Overview
If you are looking to align yourself with two of the largest growth industries: healthcare and technology, while joining one of the fastest-growing companies within those segments, Rectangle Health is the place for you!
We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and self-directed QA Engineer with a strong background in automated UI and API testing. The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of experience in quality assurance, with a proven track record of building and maintaining robust test automation frameworks. As a QA Engineer, you will be an essential part of our Engineering department, helping to maintain and improve the innovative solutions that thousands of healthcare providers rely on every day. Your work safeguards the quality and reliability of our products, giving the organization the confidence to deliver quickly without compromising the trust our customers place in us.
Beyond technical ability, we’re looking for someone who takes ownership, works proactively across teams, and follows through reliably once ramped up on their product area. Experience in the Payments domain and performance testing is a strong plus. You will receive the training, tools, and support to keep growing as a QA Engineer, including hands-on access to cloud environments and AI-assisted development tools.
Primary Job Duties:
Test Automation:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing across functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end coverage.

Cross-Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Requirement Clarification:
Proactively follow up with product and engineering to clarify requirements when ticket or acceptance details are incomplete.
Defect Reporting:
Execute and analyze automated test results and report defects with detailed documentation.
CI/CD Integration:
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Documentation Ownership:
Anticipate documentation needs and initiate them: test coverage, processes, and automation workflows.
Agile Collaboration:
Participate in sprint ceremonies and advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
2–4 years of experience in QA engineering with a focus on automation.
Proficiency in automated UI testing frameworks, preferably Playwright with JS/TypeScript.
Strong hands-on experience with API automation.
Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions).
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Experience working with AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude) to accelerate test development and debugging.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the Payments domain.
Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., K6).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
What We’re Looking For:
Works independently once onboarded and manages priorities with minimal oversight.
Proactive — anticipates needs and moves work forward without waiting to be prompted on every step.
Collaborates effectively across engineering, product, and QA teams.
Highly organized, with strong follow-through and ownership of work through completion.
Resourceful — uses available documentation, tools, and data to find answers and gather information independently.
Receptive to feedback and committed to continuous learning and growth.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Notion is shaping the future of Go-To-Market, and as a Solutions Consultant (SC), you’ll bring that future to life by building alongside customers and turning their biggest challenges into measurable outcomes. As a customer-facing, quota-carrying SC, you’ll bring together technical fluency and commercial ownership to grow your book of business. You’ll build pipeline with BDRs, engage key stakeholders, lead discovery, co-build workflow solutions live with customers, and guide opportunities through close. You’ll connect each solution to a clear business case and stay engaged through adoption, expansion, and renewal so customers realize the value of what they buy.
You’ll partner with BDRs, Outcomes Architects, and technical or product specialists while maintaining clear ownership of customer relationships, opportunity momentum, and next steps. If you’re a builder who loves to sell—and want to work at the intersection of AI, productivity, and enterprise—this is the role.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE
- Create pipeline across your book of business. Build target-account plans with BDRs and initiate outreach to priority stakeholders to generate qualified opportunities, alongside BDR-sourced pipeline.
- Own opportunities from first conversation through close. Lead discovery, qualify business needs and urgency, align stakeholders, shape the solution and business case, and drive the evaluation and commercial decision. Navigate commercial sizing, proposal construction, procurement, legal, and security review to close deals with the right scope, credits, and implementation path.
- Design and validate workflow solutions that deliver measurable value. Map current- and future-state workflows, co-build solutions live in Notion, and define realistic scope, success criteria, and an implementation path. Translate customer needs and validated outcomes into a clear business case, commercial recommendation, and decision path. Treat discovery as an opportunity to build and validate.
- Orchestrate the right partners while maintaining ownership. Engage BDRs, Outcomes Architects, and technical or product specialists at the right moments, with clear context and asks, while owning opportunity momentum, customer communication, and next steps.
- Drive customer value and commercial growth after signature. Partner with Outcomes Architects, guide the initial path to value with a clear adoption plan, on onboarding and ongoing multi-workflow adoption, and own expansion strategy and renewal planning. Stay accountable for translating credits sold into credits consumed, and surface risks or expansion opportunities as customer workflows mature.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING
- 4-7+ years of experience selling technical products to technical buyers
- Commercial ownership and pipeline generation. You can demonstrate how you created or advanced business, influenced customer decisions, and owned measurable outcomes. Relevant experience may come from quota-carrying sales or adjacent customer-facing roles.
- Technical fluency and builder mindset. You are comfortable building live in software and can demo, co-design, and troubleshoot with a customer without needing a specialist in the room.
- AI fluency. You are excited about AI, build with new tools, and continually learn new ways of working.
- Discovery, qualification, and value articulation. You can uncover customer needs, map workflows, qualify business impact and urgency, and translate what you learn into commercial outcomes, adoption plans, and clear success criteria.
- Agency, urgency, and learning velocity. You set clear goals, take initiative, learn from customer interactions, and apply those learnings to improve outcomes. You bring new ideas and workflows to customers and make complex problems easier to solve.
- Complex customer engagement. You can lead multi-stakeholder interactions and navigate procurement, legal, and security review cycles.
NICE TO HAVES
- Full-cycle B2B software sales experience or solutions engineering experience with a consistent track record of exceeding quota across new logo acquisition and expansion motions
- Familiarity with usage-based or consumption-based pricing models and the ability to structure credit-based commercial proposals
- Prior experience selling to mid-market and enterprise accounts in productivity, collaboration, or workflow software
- Experience in a shared account ownership model, partnering with a post-sale or CS team as part of an integrated customer motion

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

ABOUT MISTRAL
Mistral provides full-stack AI solutions: from frontier models to developer tools, applications, and compute. We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector, co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms.
We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.
Role Summary
We are seeking an Applied AI, Forward Deployed Engineer to build customer use cases on top of the Mistral stack. You will turn "we have agents" into "we shipped something a client uses." This role is about composing cybersecurity-related agentic workflows, configuring harnesses for real-world scenarios, and delivering value directly to clients.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Mistral, you may also work on use cases outside cybersecurity, bringing the same context engineering, orchestration, and eval work to enterprise workflows in finance, manufacturing, defense, or the public sector.
What You Will Do
- Client-Facing Agentic Solutions
- You'll individually help deploy into production use cases with considerable business impact across various industries, with cybersecurity client assignments as a priority
- You'll work on state-of-the-art GenAI applications, driving a crucial technological transformation together with our customers
- Tackle iconic use cases that no existing solution on the market can address - from custom configuration of cybersecurity harnesses for cloud defense, to optimizing agentic vulnerability scanning solutions, to customizing agentic red-teaming solutions or penetration testing scenarios
- You'll work directly on client use cases, translating security requirements into agentic solutions
- You'll be involved in pre-sales calls to understand potential clients' needs, challenges, and aspirations, providing technical guidance on our products and explaining Mistral technologies to various stakeholders
- You'll collaborate with our product and science teams to continuously improve our product and model capabilities based on customer feedback
How We Work in Applied AI
- We care about people and outputs
- What matters is what you ship, not the time you spend on it
- Bureaucracy is where urgency goes to vanish. You talk to whoever you need to talk to. The best idea wins, whether it comes from a principal engineer or someone in their first week
- Always ask why. The best solutions come from deep understanding, not from copying what worked before
- We say what we mean. Feedback is direct, timely, and given because we care
- No politics. Low ego, high standards
- We embrace an unstructured environment and find joy in it
About You
- You are fluent in English
- You have 2+ years as a technical individual contributor (data scientist or software engineer) on AI-based products
- You have proven experience in AI or machine learning product implementation with APIs, back-end, and front-end interfaces
- You have experience tackling advanced RAG, building agentic use cases, or fine-tuning LLMs
- You have a deep understanding of the concepts and algorithms underlying machine learning and LLMs
- You have strong technical coding skills in Python
- You have strong communication skills, with an ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ideally, you have:
- Contributed to open-source projects, in particular in the space of LLMs
- Experience as a Customer Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Product Manager
- Hands-on experience building agents, LLM orchestration, context engineering, evals, and RAG systems
- A bias toward action and delivery - you ship fast
- The ability to operate independently with a customer-led mindset
- The ability to reuse internal building blocks and components effectively
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- A collaborative attitude
- Pentesting knowledge
- Experience developing a cybersecurity product
- Experience building agentic harnesses or multi-agent systems end-to-end
- A strong background in evals and benchmarking of agent systems
- Experience with security tooling or workflows
- Prior work on production AI systems in regulated or high-stakes environments

At Render, we’re building the modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications. Our mission is to eliminate the tradeoff between the power of hyperscalers and the simplicity of developer-friendly platforms—so teams can ship fast, scale reliably, and focus on their product, not infrastructure.
Unlike complex hyperscalers or ephemeral edge/serverless solutions, Render offers a developer-first experience with persistent compute, dynamic autoscaling, built-in orchestration, and observability, allowing teams to launch, scale, and manage real-world applications without writing infrastructure code or managing servers. Whether you're building LLM-powered applications, scalable SaaS products, or async processing pipelines, Render empowers teams to move fast and scale confidently from MVP to millions of users.
Our platform is trusted by over 7 million developers worldwide and continues to grow rapidly. In February 2026, we raised an additional $100M in Series C financing, bringing our total funding to $260M, to accelerate our vision of making cloud infrastructure both powerful and intuitive—designed for the speed of modern AI development.
We’re a diverse and talented team that values craft, velocity, and user experience. If you’re excited to help shape the future of the intelligent cloud and empower developers everywhere, we’d love to hear from you.
APPLYING TO RENDER
We're seeking candidates who possess high integrity, humility, and an insatiable drive to learn. Through reasoned discussions and continuous feedback, we strive to improve both individually and collectively. We foster an environment of mutual trust and respect, empowering effective debate to achieve the best outcomes for our customers and team.
We especially encourage members of underrepresented groups in the tech community to apply and understand that not all successful candidates will meet each requirement listed.
Our interview process is unique to each role, and we value the candidate experience just as much as our customer experience. We hope your conversations with us reflect a thoughtful process that is illuminative, enjoyable, and respectful of your time.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Render's mission is to eliminate the undifferentiated work that goes into building software products by offering an easy-to-use, powerful cloud platform for developer teams of all sizes.
We're looking for a software engineer to join our Access & Governance team and help build the next generation of security and governance experiences on Render. As AI agents become more prevalent and organizations scale on Render, you'll help shape how customers securely manage access, protect their applications, and maintain visibility and control over their infrastructure.
This is a product-focused engineering role where you'll solve complex platform challenges while building intuitive, customer-facing experiences that make security simple and accessible to developers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design and ship customer-facing security and governance products, owning the experience end to end, from intuitive interfaces and APIs to the underlying backend systems.
- Build foundational platform capabilities that help developers, teams, services, and AI agents securely access and operate on Render.
- Tackle challenging engineering problems involving distributed systems, authorization, scalability, and reliability while keeping the customer experience simple.
- Partner closely with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to translate complex customer needs into elegant, impactful product experiences.
- Help evolve and operate critical platform systems, ensuring high standards for correctness, performance, observability, and safe rollouts.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 6+ years of experience shipping and operating production systems.
- Experience building and shipping customer-facing platform products, with a strong appreciation for intuitive UX, well-designed APIs, and end-to-end product ownership.
- Strong technical fundamentals and experience designing reliable, scalable systems, including navigating complex APIs, data models, and architectural tradeoffs.
- A product-minded approach to engineering, with the ability to balance technical complexity, customer experience, and business impact.
- A track record of driving ambiguous projects from concept to production while collaborating effectively with Product, Design, and Engineering.
We care more about the systems you've built and the decisions you made than whether your last role had a "security" title.
NICE-TO-HAVES:
- Hands-on experience with OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM, JWTs or other authentication methods.
- Experience with multi-tenant authorization models such as RBAC, ABAC, or ReBAC, including policy engines or fine-grained authorization systems.
- Experience with workload identity, short-lived credentials, secrets management, privileged access, or security controls for services and agents.
- Experience building developer platforms, cloud infrastructure, identity product or SaaS products where APIs and backwards compatibility matter.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 and an ability to turn those requirements into security improvements for all customers.
- Contributions to open-source auth/security tooling.
If this role excites you but you don’t meet every single requirement, we’d still love to hear from you—your unique experience might be just what we need.
BENEFITS
- 4 weeks of paid vacation.
- 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all parents to bond with a newly born, adopted, or fostered child. We will also work with you to create a supportive plan of return.
- Long-term disability, life insurance, and 401K plans.
- 100% employer-paid medical coverage and 99% employer-paid dental and vision coverage for you and a dependent. FSAs and HSAs are available as well.
- Monthly lifestyle stipend for wellness, mental health and therapy, hobbies, etc.
- Monthly cell phone and internet subsidy.

Render is an equal-opportunity employer. We know that employing a team rich in diverse thoughts, experiences, and opinions allows our employees, product, and community to flourish. ABOUT CLIPBOARD
Our mission is to uplift as many communities as possible. We do this through our app-based marketplace that connects healthcare professionals with the workplaces that need amazing workers. This enables hundreds of thousands of people to achieve financial stability for themselves and their families while providing essential care to millions of people across the U.S.
Founded in 2016, we are a remote-first team of over 1,000 people building a top Y-Combinator company https://www.ycombinator.com/topcompanies/ and have been profitable since 2022. We’re the leader in Long-Term Care staffing and are rapidly expanding into Home Health, Hospitals, and more, meaning we have more work to do than people to do it, and are growing our team to support millions more people and their communities.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Strategy & Ops Senior Associate role is an experienced generalist role at Clipboard suited for the “all-around athlete” type who can do it all and wants exposure to a range of problems and opportunities.
You’re likely someone who’s interested in and capable of solving different problem types – you’re resourceful, adaptable, and confident you can figure it out if you can sink your teeth in deep enough.
Your first “tour of duty” will be on the Billing team (see more below). The specific projects you take on will depend on your strengths and what we learn during the recruiting process and your first days at Clipboard; that being said, here is a list of example initiatives to give you an idea:
- Build an internal predictive analytics model and corresponding underwriting process to catch bad payers early with high accuracy to inform our contracting decisions and risk mitigation tactics
- Research, vet, and onboard a new vendor that embeds AI agents into our customer-facing collections efforts
- Redesign our process for converting workplaces to new methods of payment, such as getting customers who send checks to start paying us via eCheck to speed up the cash conversion process
- Manage a team of Billing Account Managers
FIRST TOUR OF DUTY – QUICK BACKGROUND ON BILLING
Our most immediate need right now is on the Billing team. The TLDR is that we want to maximize our profitability by collecting money as fast as possible and minimizing losses, while preserving the customer experience, all in service of reliably converting revenue into cash (the lifeline of a capital-intensive business like ours). This in a way is “ensuring high-quality growth” for the company.
Although Clipboard provides a service where workplaces can find qualified professionals to fill shifts, we are in many ways a lending company at our core since we pay professionals immediately after they work a shift. For illustrative purposes: a nurse works a shift → we pay the nurse $100 immediately with our cash → the workplace pays us $120 a month later. We extend debt to workplaces using cash we borrow, with interest, from an Asset-Backed Line (ABL) of credit – workplaces use that debt to pay their staffing costs, and we expect to be paid back by the workplaces at a later date based on agreed-upon net terms.
Billing is doing the critical work of converting our revenue into cash that we put in the bank. Otherwise, money we cannot collect is money we’ve already burned. With thousands of customers operating in different regulatory environments, under different conditions, with nuanced capital structures and corporate setups, and using varied complicated processes…this can be hard to do at scale. We consistently fight a multi-faceted battle: a battle wherein we must maximize the speed at which we recognize revenue, maximize the margin associated with each shift, and maximize the customer experience, all without letting one unduly impact the other.
Optimizing collections is critical to make sure Clipboard is generating sustainable, high-quality growth and turning top-line revenue into cash that we use to service or grow other parts of the business, and you will help us do that.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We find those who are most successful in this type of role:
- Are insatiably curious and notice non-obvious clues and patterns: Curiosity https://creatingvalue.substack.com/i/46535664/noticing-and-curiosity sits atop our company values. Understanding something from first principles and getting to the root cause of the problem will often reveal the best solution, and a natural and unwavering curiosity to keep asking questions and digging will take you most of the way.
- Roll up their sleeves and go to the source: There are multiple ways to say this: touching reality, dogfooding, seeing for yourself, going to the front-lines, etc. Don’t just take someone’s word for it – go find out yourself by testing the feature, or listening to the agent call, or calling the customer, or executing the workflow. This is how you seek truth.
- Bring a tenacity and persistence to problem-solving: You’ll hit walls and find yourself in uncertain and unfamiliar situations. If you can sit with the uncertainty, look at the problem from new angles, and keep applying pressure to a problem – you’ll position yourself for breakthroughs.
- Bounce back from failure quickly: You’ll make mistakes, move in the wrong direction, and stumble from time-to-time. Just avoid big mistakes and don’t make the same mistakes twice, and learn from them quickly. Worry less about failing and more about losing momentum in your feedback loop. If you fail cheaply and quickly, that's worth the lesson/learning you get in return.
While performance on your case and interviews during the hiring process is the most important aspect of your candidacy, your years of relevant working experience will be taken into consideration for both (a) the work you’re placed into once hired and (b) compensation.
Please note: We are currently accepting applications only from candidates based in North America, South America or Europe. This role requires an overlap of at least 5 hours with the PST (UTC-8) time zone.

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
Solutions Engineer, Commercial (Austin)
About the role
As a Solutions Engineer (SE) on our team, you will help prospects understand the value of the combined Fivetran and dbt platform across the full data lifecycle: moving, transforming, and trusting their data. You’ll lead technical discussions with prospective customers, uncover their data challenges, identify their technical requirements, and demonstrate how our products work together through live demos, technical workshops, and structured proofs of value.
You’ll be a trusted advisor to a wide range of customers, from fast-growing startups to established enterprise data teams, helping them solve real business problems with our platform and playing a key role in winning deals and driving the business forward.
Internally, you’ll partner closely with Account Executives, contribute to building and refining our processes and playbooks as the two teams integrate, and act as the voice of the customer to ensure we continue developing products that solve real problems and delight our users.
Location:
Austin, TX (hybrid). This is a full-time position, and candidates must be located in Austin and able to work in the office two days a week (Tuesday and Thursday).
What you'll do
Spend the majority of your time on pre-sales opportunities, working with customers to understand their business, use cases, and requirements for data movement, transformation, and governance
Consult with prospects to uncover their data challenges and show how Fivetran and dbt together can alleviate pain points and support their goals, from ingestion through modeling to analytics and AI
Lead structured, curiosity-driven discovery that qualifies opportunities early and maps technical requirements to business outcomes, success criteria, and the customer’s decision process
Own the demonstration of technical and business impact by delivering tailored demos and technical presentations of the platform to both technical and business audiences
Articulate business value, not just features: work with your Account Executive to build the business case (e.g. time-to-value, cost savings, ROI) and tell a clear, data-backed story to technical and executive stakeholders
Ensure the technical win by running an organized proof-of-value process, from defining success criteria through final readout
Design and architect scalable, reliable data solutions, and guide customers through architectural questions, including source systems, cloud and on-premises networking, self-hosted and SaaS deployment options, and security requirements
Collaborate closely with Account Executives by building strong, trust-based relationships and offering strategic input throughout the deal process, including account planning, opportunity prioritization/qualification, and pipeline generation strategy
Proactively generate demand in your territory through technical initiatives such as workshops, webinars, industry events, and account-based marketing activities
Maintain ongoing relationships with technical stakeholders within your accounts, build champions, and identify opportunities where customers can benefit from both products
Partner with Product, Engineering, and other internal teams to represent the voice of the customer, relay field feedback, and drive improvements across the combined company
Contribute to our knowledge-sharing loop by helping improve team processes, refining assets and playbooks, and enabling and mentoring teammates through collaboration
Create and deliver external-facing content through live events, blog posts, recorded tutorials, or other educational resources
Use AI tools to work smarter across research, discovery preparation, demo building, and follow-up, and help customers shape practical AI use cases on trusted, well-modeled data
Stay up to date on the latest technologies and trends in the data industry through ongoing training and certification, and help teammates work through advanced technical or business roadblocks
What you bring
2+ years of related industry experience (ideally 5–8) in data replication, sales engineering, analytics engineering, data consulting, or a related technical field, including at least 2 years in a customer-facing role

Demonstrated ability to work with customers to review complex existing architectures and provide guidance on how to improve them by leveraging technology
Ability to work with a cross-functional sales team to formulate and execute an end-to-end deal cycle
Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical and business concepts in a clear and compelling manner to both technical and business leadership
Business acumen and value storytelling: you connect technical capabilities to business outcomes and can talk about how a customer’s processes improve, not only how the product works
Genuine curiosity and empathy in customer conversations: active listening, asking the next question, and understanding what success looks like for the buyer
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, adapt quickly, and think on your feet during customer conversations
Experience working asynchronously as part of a partially remote, distributed team
A strong team-player mindset, both within the SE team as we evolve our ways of working and in daily collaboration with Account Executives as part of a deal team

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, IT, and Security teams to provide architectural guidance throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring security is incorporated early into design decisions.

- Provide technical leadership across application security, cloud security, infrastructure security, API security, identity and access management, secrets management, network security, and data protection.
- Work closely with Product Security, Infrastructure Security, and Engineering teams to establish consistent security expectations across new products, internal platforms, and third-party integrations.
- Evaluate the security architecture of strategic vendors and technology solutions as part of WHOOP's Third-Party Risk Assessment process.
- Translate regulatory and compliance requirements—including HIPAA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST frameworks—into practical engineering guidance and architectural controls.
- Mentor engineers and security team members on secure design principles, helping raise the organization's overall security maturity through collaboration, education, and trusted technical leadership.
- Produce clear architectural documentation, technical standards, design reviews, and implementation guidance that can be consistently applied across engineering teams.
- Partner with Security leadership to define the long-term vision, operating model, roadmap, and success metrics for Security Architecture as a strategic capability within the Information Security organization.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to engineering and business leaders, balancing security, operational efficiency, and business objectives while promoting a secure-by-design culture across WHOOP.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8–12+ years of experience in security architecture, application security, cloud security, infrastructure security, or senior security engineering roles supporting modern distributed systems.
- Demonstrated experience designing and securing cloud-native applications and infrastructure, with deep knowledge of AWS security services and modern cloud architecture.
- Strong understanding of application security, secure software development, infrastructure security, cloud security, API security, identity and access management, enterprise networking, and modern security architecture principles.
- Previous software engineering or application development experience with the ability to understand application design, architecture, implementation tradeoffs, and engineering workflows.
- Experience performing architecture reviews, security design assessments, and threat modeling for complex distributed systems.
- Familiarity with healthcare, regulated environments, or security programs supporting HIPAA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST 800-53, or similar regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to balance security requirements with business objectives and provide practical, risk-based recommendations that engineering teams can successfully implement.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to build trust, influence technical decisions, and collaborate effectively across engineering, product, IT, and security organizations.
- A collaborative, approachable, and service-oriented mindset with the ability to establish strong working relationships across teams and become a trusted partner to engineers and technical leaders.
- Comfortable working independently while helping establish new security processes, standards, governance models, and architectural practices in a growing organization.
- High integrity, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to solving complex security challenges.
- Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, GIAC, TOGAF, or equivalent are considered a plus.
