About Vercel:
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.
Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.
About the role
Vercel is hiring a Senior HRBP to partner with our G&A organizations, Finance, Legal, People, and Security & IT. You'll work directly with C-Suite leaders to build people strategies that drive effectiveness, grow talent, and sustain a high-performance culture as we scale. This isn't a consulting role. You'll be embedded in the business, bringing strategic vision and operational follow-through in equal measure. We want a builder: someone who's guided teams through real inflection points, balances analytical rigor with genuine human-centeredness, and never loses sight of the individual in the system. You speak truth to power, advocate for employees, help leaders make hard calls and you don't wait to be asked.
What you'll do
Strategic Partnership
Serve as the primary HR advisor to senior leaders across Finance, Legal, People, and Security & IT functions
Translate business objectives into actionable people strategies, including organizational design, workforce planning, and talent development
Advise on org structure, team effectiveness, and leadership development to support G&A scaling
Partner with executives on headcount planning and HC allocation to align talent resources with business priorities
Talent & Performance
Drive talent review and talent development processes across supported organizations
Coach and develop leaders at all levels, from ICs to managers to VPs, on people management, feedback, and performance
Lead and support performance management cycles, including calibration facilitation and compensation review
Partner with Talent Acquisition to build thoughtful hiring strategies and ensure strong candidate experiences
Culture & Employee Experience
Champion Vercel's culture and values, ensuring they're embedded in the day-to-day experience across G&A
Identify and act on signals from engagement surveys, stay interviews, and team health check-ins
Design and facilitate team offsites, workshops, and other programming that foster connection and alignment
Employee Relations & Compliance
Navigate complex employee relations matters with sound judgment, empathy, and confidentiality
Ensure consistent and equitable application of HR policies, providing guidance to managers and employees alike
Partner with Legal on compliance, employment law guidance, and risk mitigation across global jurisdictions
Operational Excellence
Analyze and interpret people data and trends to inform recommendations and drive continuous improvement
Contribute to and improve core People programs, onboarding, L&D, DEI, total rewards communication, within your client groups
Collaborate across the broader People team on cross-functional initiatives and process improvements
What you need
10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HRBP or HR generalist role supporting corporate / G&A functions
Experience operating in a fast-scaling, global tech company; startup or high-growth background strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to build trust with senior executives and operate as a genuine business partner, not just an HR service provider
Deep expertise in organizational design, performance management, talent planning, and employee relations
Strong analytical skills; you use data to tell stories, identify trends, and inform decisions
Outstanding communication, facilitation, and executive presence; equally comfortable in a 1:1 coaching session and presenting to a leadership team
Comfortable with ambiguity; you create structure where none exists and thrive in a fast-moving environment
Experience with tools such as Workday, Greenhouse, and Notion highly preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive compensation package, including equity.
Inclusive Healthcare Package.
Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
Flexible Time Off.
We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.
The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $180,000 to $220,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role. Your recruiter can share more details during the hiring process.

Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands
About the Role
The company is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Back Office & Integration squad. This is a dedicated people-management and hands-on technical leadership role — it is not a Tech Lead or Senior Software Engineer position. You will have direct line-management responsibility for a team of 4 to 8 engineers, taking full ownership of their performance, professional growth, and delivery.
The company develops a fast-growing travel management platform tailored specifically for the maritime, aviation, and energy sectors. Headquartered in Rotterdam with a team of ~200 people, the company builds mission-critical software that keeps complex global industries moving.
In this role, you will balance approximately 60% people management and delivery with 40% hands-on technical work, tackling complex architectural tasks and conducting code reviews.
Key Responsibilities & People Management
Line Management. Directly manage a team of 4–8 intermediate to senior engineers (7+ years of experience).
Performance & Growth. Conduct regular 1-on-1s, lead performance reviews, and foster career development within your team.
Hiring & Firing. Hold active input and decision-making responsibility for recruitment, team expansion, and offboarding.
Accountability. Take full ownership of your team's delivery and culture, standing by your team when challenges or mistakes arise.
Technical Contribution (~40%). Solve complex engineering problems, lead code reviews, and drive architecture decisions using modern .NET technologies.
Requirements
Must-haves
Recent People Management Experience. Active experience in a direct line-manager role within the last 3 years.
(Note: Mentorship, code reviews, or acting as a Tech Lead without direct people management do not qualify)
.
Proven experience managing mid-to-senior engineers (7+ years of domain experience).
Strong, active commercial experience with C#, .NET, PostgreSQL, and SQL within the last 5 years.
Ability to work remotely initially with a mandatory agreement to relocate to the Netherlands after 4 to 6 months (Full visa sponsorship and relocation support provided), willingness to start on a fixed-term contract during the initial trial period.
Technical Evaluation & AI Expectations
During the technical selection process, candidate AI usage will be evaluated. While AI is welcomed as a productivity tool, using AI merely as a basic search engine/shortcut for fundamental engineering problems is considered a reject signal.
Self-Rejection Criteria (Please do not apply if):
You are primarily looking for an Individual Contributor (IC), Tech Lead, or purely advisory role without direct line management responsibilities.
You are looking for a permanent contract from Day 1 without an initial fixed-term/trial period.
You are unwilling or unable to relocate to the Netherlands within 4 to 6 months.
You have not actively used C# / .NET as your primary tech stack within the last 5 years.
Benefits
Conditions
Salary:
€7,000 – €8,000 gross/month (remote salary budget of €5,500 – €6,000 gross/month)
Contract:
Full-time, permanent employment
Work format:
Hybrid.
Benefits:
Hybrid work from the Rotterdam office
Work-life balance policy
Growth at the intersection of travel, finance, and engineering
Municipality parking card (for office employees)
High autonomy, direct impact on enterprise-grade software, and supportive leadership.
