Accountant

Responsibilities: — Maintain accurate financial records and perform assigned close activities. — Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports ensuring completeness and accuracy. — Perform account reconciliations including bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, resolving discrepancies. — Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger. — Review, classify, and record expenses according to company policies and budget guidelines. — Oversee key accounting processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, accruals, and prepaid expenses. — Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and providing timely responses. — Monitor compliance with GAAP, SOX requirements, internal controls, and company procedures. — Identify and recommend process improvements to strengthen controls and increase efficiency and accuracy. Requirements: — Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. — Minimum 5 years of full accounting experience. — Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero or NetSuite and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. — Working knowledge of GAAP and strong understanding of Sarbanes Oxley compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting. — Strong organizational, time management, communication, and collaboration skills. — High accuracy and analytical ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and inefficiencies. Preferred: — Progress toward CPA certification. — Experience with publicly traded companies or public accounting firms. — Experience in startups or fast-paced environments. — Experience with robotics, manufacturing, or technology companies, including inventory management or cost accounting. — Ability to adapt and operate effectively in dynamic, collaborative environments.
