Staff Product Manager, Generative AI Platform

Location: London, United Kingdom Our Global Structure Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team. Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat. DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt now operate as one global company. Behind the AI experiences millions of people use every day, from shopping assistants to customer support agents, sits one shared Generative AI platform. Our team builds it. We're looking for a Staff Product Manager in London to own major parts of that platform. Your customers are the engineers and ML researchers across all three brands who build AI products and agents. You'll work with engineering and product leaders in Europe and the US, and your decisions will shape how AI gets built across every market we operate in. What You'll Be Doing Set the strategy and roadmap for core parts of our GenAI platform: model access and routing, agent infrastructure, and evaluation and observability. Build one platform for three brands. Spot the patterns across Deliveroo, Wolt and DoorDash teams and turn them into shared building blocks, so a capability built once reaches every market. Shape our model portfolio across frontier and open-weight models. Decide where we build, buy or partner in an ecosystem that changes month to month. Make agents production-ready. Give teams safe access to company knowledge, tools and systems, with the quality, latency and cost controls needed to run agents at scale. Own the evaluation strategy so teams can prove quality before launch and keep improving it after. Stay close to your customers. Work with the teams shipping AI experiences, measure adoption and time-to-production, and let real production use drive the roadmap. Lead at a senior level, presenting to senior technical leadership and influence strategy beyond your own roadmap. What You'll Need to Thrive Our ideal candidate brings deep expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others: Significant product management experience (typically 8+ years, or equivalent), including owning a technical platform, developer product, or ML or data infrastructure. Hands-on experience with LLM-based products or platforms in production, such as assistants, agents, evaluation or inference. GenAI platforms are a young field, so we care more about depth than years. A platform mindset. You notice the problem five teams keep solving and turn it into one capability everyone can use. The ability to go deep with engineers and ML researchers, then explain the trade-off in plain language to a senior leader. A track record of leading large, ambiguous areas on your own and aligning stakeholders across companies, countries and time zones. Comfort with regular overlap with US time zones, including some late-afternoon and evening calls. What Success Looks Like A team in any of our three brands can go from idea to a reliable AI product dramatically faster. That happens because the hard parts (models, inference, evaluation, tooling, observability, governance and agent infrastructure) are solved once at the platform layer and get better for everyone. Why Join Us? Real scale from day one. Your platform powers AI used by millions of consumers, merchants and couriers across three brands. Frontier work, real constraints. You'll work with the latest models and agent patterns, then make them reliable, affordable and compliant in production. Visible impact. Platform decisions here get reviewed by senior leadership and adopted across the company. We’re food lovers, problem solvers, community builders and more, brought together by a shared drive to make things better.
