Founding Sales Development Representative

Location: South Africa About Huzzle At Huzzle, we connect exceptional talent with top opportunities at leading companies across the UK, US, Canada, Europe, and Australia. Our clients include fast-growing startups and established businesses in SaaS, MarTech, FinTech, and EdTech. Unlike traditional outsourcing, you’ll be placed directly with a client as a core member of their team—giving you real ownership, career progression, and long-term stability. Role Type: Full-time Engagement: Independent Contractor Job Summary We are looking for a relentless, strategic, and entrepreneurial Founding Sales Development Representative to build the bedrock of our outbound engine. As the first dedicated SDR hire, you won’t just be following a playbook—you will be writing it. You will work directly with the leadership team to define our market approach, experiment with messaging, and scale our presence within the B2B tech landscape. This is a high-impact role designed for a "builder" who thrives in the ambiguity of an early-stage environment and is hungry to transition into a leadership or senior sales role as the company grows. Key Responsibilities Own the end-to-end top-of-funnel strategy, from lead generation and prospecting to qualifying and booking initial meetings. Design, test, and iterate on multi-channel outbound sequences (email, LinkedIn, phone, and creative video) to engage our Ideal Customer Profile. Partner with the founding team to refine value propositions and product-market fit based on real-time prospect feedback. Manage and maintain a clean CRM pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and data integrity. Identify high-value accounts and map out key stakeholders within target organizations. Help select and implement the sales tech stack required to automate and scale outreach efforts. Requirements Proven track record as an SDR within a B2B SaaS or high-growth tech environment. Previous experience as a Founding SDR or an early hire at a seed/Series A startup. Mastery of modern outbound sales tools (e.g., Apollo, Outreach, Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into compelling value props. A "hunter" mentality with a bias toward action and a high degree of resilience. Proven ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Direct experience selling AI-driven software or developer tools. Experience in "full-cycle" sales or closing small deals. Basic understanding of data analytics or technical infrastructure. Previous success in a remote-first work environment. Benefits 🌎 Fully remote role with flexible working hours 🚀 Work with high-growth international companies 📈 Clear career progression to Account Executive and beyond 🎯 Performance-based bonuses and incentives 🤝 Direct hire with global clients (not outsourced) 🧠 Ongoing training, mentorship, and sales development support
