Senior Process Engineer - Oil & Gas (Saudi Arabia)

Location: Baku, Azerbaijan The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for leading process engineering activities for oil & gas projects across all phases, from FEED through detailed engineering and commissioning. The role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on project execution experience, and solid knowledge of GCC regulatory and operational standards. Key Responsibilities Lead process engineering design for oil & gas facilities (onshore/offshore) Develop and review process design basis, PFDs, P&IDs, and process calculations Perform simulations, heat & material balance, and equipment sizing Ensure compliance with international codes, standards, and GCC client requirements Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and design review studies Coordinate with piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil teams Review vendor documents and provide technical clarifications Support construction, commissioning, and start-up activities Mentor junior process engineers and provide technical guidance Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent Minimum 15+ years of overall process engineering experience in oil & gas At least 5 years of oil & gas project experience within the GCC region Strong experience working in EPC / PMC environments Technical Skills Process simulation tools (HYSYS, Aspen Plus, UniSim, etc.) Strong knowledge of oil & gas process systems and unit operations Familiarity with international codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO) Experience in refineries, gas processing, LNG, or upstream facilities
