From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About the Role
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions. As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Head of Early Career Recruiting, you'll own and scale our early career strategy across Notion. We've built real momentum on the engineering side — now we're ready to grow that into something bigger, expanding our early talent footprint meaningfully across the business. You'll partner with leaders across the company, university communities, and the broader talent marketplace to attract emerging talent who excel in craft and share our values. You set a high bar, you know the early career market well — university recruiting, internship conversion, emerging pipelines — and you're genuinely AI-first in how you work, always looking for ways to make the team faster and better.
This role can be based in either San Francisco or New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We're looking for someone who's excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Define and own the global early career recruiting strategy — spanning internship programs, new grad hiring, and early-in-career pipelines across the business — translating priorities into a clear talent plan that scales across functions and regions.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of early career recruiters — setting the bar and coaching to it consistently.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders — bringing market intelligence, early career compensation insights, and a clear point of view on emerging talent, whether they're coming from campus, a first job, or somewhere in between.
- Lead the adoption of AI tools, workflows, and automation across the early career recruiting function — driving meaningful change in how the team sources, assesses, and closes talent.
- Design and continuously improve the programs, processes, and infrastructure that allow us to hire with speed without sacrificing bar — including internship program design, conversion strategy, offer frameworks, and intern-to-FTE pipelines.
- Establish and own the early career metrics that matter — conversion rates, quality of hire, source mix, time to offer — and use them to drive decisions.
- Partner with Storytelling to sharpen our employer value proposition across the early talent community — positioning Notion as a destination for the next generation of world-class talent, wherever they're discovering us.
- Partner with Notion's Ambassador Program to build community and connective tissue between early talent and the broader Notion ecosystem — turning advocates into pipelines and relationships into hires.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- 4+ years of recruiting leadership experience with a focus on early career hiring — spanning university recruiting, internship programs, new graduate pipelines, and early-in-career hiring across functions.
- A fresh perspective on how early talent is best attracted and assessed — from build challenges and work trials to the ways people just entering the workforce discover and evaluate companies — and the curiosity to keep evolving that view as the landscape changes.
- Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing early career teams and programs in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
- High agency, strategic operator who can set direction and execute — equally comfortable in a leadership conversation about talent strategy and in the weeds of a hard fall recruiting season.
- Strong analytical instincts with a track record of using data to drive decisions, i.e. conversion rates, funnel health, program ROI, and team performance.
- Trusted advisor to senior leaders, with the credibility and market knowledge to influence program investment and hiring decisions at the executive level.
- Genuine AI-first orientation — fluency with modern tools and an excitement for continuous discovery as the landscape evolves, with a track record of bringing teams along on that journey.
- Deep knowledge of early career compensation trends, talent market dynamics, and partnership models — from universities and bootcamps to the channels and communities where early-in-career talent is found.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Background in program management or talent development with experience designing structured early career experiences (rotational programs, mentorship tracks, etc.).
- Demonstrated track record of leveraging AI to meaningfully change how early career recruiting operates — not just as a tool user, but as someone who has built workflows, driven adoption, and raised the bar on what the function can do.
- Experience designing and executing diversity recruiting programs targeting HBCUs, community colleges, or underrepresented talent communities — with measurable outcomes.
- Strong network within the university recruiting, early career, and campus talent community.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

The 1Password Sales Engineering team is a valuable resource to our customers and fellow Go-to-Market team members. Our Sales Engineers are well known and respected as experts on the product, trusted advisors to our sales teams and customers, and a sought-after resource for various types of customer calls. The team collaborates with Product, Marketing, Enablement, and Support to create resources, provide training opportunities, and elevate the overall understanding of 1Password. We are a kind, curious, approachable, and customer-focused team on a mission to drive the vision of 1Password forward.
As a Sales Engineer for the SMB segment, you will be a trusted technical advisor, driving revenue growth, improving win rates, and accelerating deal velocity through strategic technical guidance. Partnering closely with Account Executives, you will demonstrate and position Enterprise Password Management (EPM), 1Password Privileged access, Software as a service (SaaS) Manager and device trust as an integrated solution that helps reduce risk across users, applications and devices.
You will navigate high-volume, fast-paced SMB sales cycles, uncovering opportunities to position the full product suite and applying frameworks like MEDDPICC to qualify opportunities, address requirements, and influence decision-makers. You will also support customers with compliance needs by responding to security questionnaires, RFPs/RFIs, and vendor registration requirements.
You will bring credibility with both security and technical buyers, including those evaluating or transitioning from developer-centric secrets management tools. As 1Password's portfolio evolves toward Unified Access, your ability to bridge human identity (EPM), application access (SaaS Manager), and endpoint trust (Device Trust) with the emerging machine identity and secrets automation narrative will be a differentiator in every deal.
As a subject matter expert across all 1Password products, you will collaborate with Sales Enablement, Product, Marketing, and Customer Experience to create resources, enablement materials, and customer-facing content that drive adoption, improve close rates, and deliver measurable business impact.
How we’re using AI today
Across GTM, we’re transforming the way we work with AI. We expect every seller, CSM, and team member to become a power user, using it daily to work smarter and move faster. AI is already embedded in how we operate – from real-time coaching that sharpens how we sell and interact with customers, to surfacing insights that help us anticipate needs – creating more time for meaningful customer engagement. If you’re excited to reshape how you think, make decisions, and drive growth with AI, you’ll feel right at home here.
Expectations of this role
This is a hybrid role. You will be expected to work from 1Password's London office 3 days per week, with the flexibility to work from the office up to 5 days based on business needs.
Note: All go-to-market roles will have an in-person onboarding in Toronto.
What we're looking for:
- At least 4 years of experience in a technical customer-facing role (B2B SaaS, preferably in the SMB segment or similar).
- Ability to communicate in French fluently
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and confidently to a wide range of audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong presentation, communication, and storytelling skills, making complex information sound simple and relevant.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to quality, even in high-volume environments.
- Enthusiasm for learning, testing, and problem-solving. You are curious and dig in when a customer has a challenge.
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, transactional sales environment.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote-first team.
- Open to learning and able to adapt quickly, working across multiple products and shifting priorities with a flexible and proactive mindset.
- Experience in or strong familiarity with the security and identity space, including credential management, privileged access, or secrets management. Prior exposure to tools such as HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea, or similar PAM and secrets platforms is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with relevant compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable navigating developer-centric conversations, including how teams manage secrets in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI), container environments (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure). You don't need to write the code, but you should understand the workflow and the risks.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and how engineering teams embed security into their development lifecycle. Able to engage confidently with DevOps leads, platform engineers, and CISOs on the risks of secrets sprawl, hardcoded credentials, and over-privileged service accounts.
- Working knowledge of identity concepts including SSO, SCIM provisioning, and OAuth/OIDC, and how SaaS application access is managed across growing teams. Familiarity with MDM or endpoint management tools (e.g., Jamf, Intune, CrowdStrike) is a bonus.
- Awareness of the growing challenge of non-human identity: service accounts, API tokens, bot credentials, and the security risks they introduce as teams scale AI and automation workflows. Ability to position this as a near-term customer pain, even in SMB accounts.
- Working knowledge of modern sales qualification frameworks (e.g., MEDDPICC) is preferred. Training and enablement will be provided as part of ongoing development.
- A growth mindset and a genuine curiosity about the evolving identity and security landscape.
- Bonus: hands-on experience integrating 1Password or a secrets manager with a developer workflow, CI/CD tool, or automation platform (e.g., GitHub Actions, Zapier, n8n, Make, or similar).
What you can expect:
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for SMB sales opportunities within the Go-to-Market team.
- Partner with Account Executives to deliver scalable, impactful technical support throughout the sales cycle.
- Confidently position and demo all three core products, EPM, SaaS Manager, and Device Trust, as an integrated solution, articulating how they work together to reduce risk across users, apps, and devices. Connect these to the broader Unified Access vision for forward-looking customers.
- Support fast-paced, high-volume sales cycles with concise, effective technical guidance.
- Recommend and position tailored product solutions that align with SMB customer needs, goals, and common use cases.
- Run technical discovery with a range of stakeholders, from IT admins and security leads to developers and DevOps engineers, uncovering use cases around privileged access, SaaS shadow IT, unmanaged endpoints, and secrets for automation and AI workflows.
- Handle competitive situations involving PAM vendors (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust), secrets management tools (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), and SaaS security platforms. Articulate 1Password's differentiated value for SMB teams who need enterprise-grade capabilities without enterprise-grade complexity.
- Partner with SMB reps to build their confidence in discussing product capabilities and navigating technical conversations.
- Proactively identify potential technical risks in deals and collaborate with Product and Support teams to resolve them.
- Uncover and qualify AI-related use cases during discovery, including how customers are managing secrets for developer tooling, automation workflows, and emerging AI agent infrastructure.
- Support proof-of-concept engagements that validate Secrets Automation use cases, including scenarios where customers are securing credentials for AI pipelines, developer environments, or cloud-native workloads.
- Collaborate with Sales Enablement and Product Marketing to create and improve internal resources such as objection handling guides, demo frameworks, and playbooks.
- Deliver product education to customers focusing on accessibility for non-technical or resource-constrained teams.
- Respond to vendor/risk assessments, RFPs/RFIs, security questionnaires, and other technical documentation requests as needed.
- Represent the team at select industry events and company/team offsites. Some travel may be required.
UK-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between £65,000 GBP and £91,000 GBP, and is commission-eligible. This role is also immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, pension, and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
At 1Password, we approach each individual's compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set.
This posting is for an existing vacancy.
Our culture
At 1Password, we prioritize collaboration, clear and transparent communication, receptiveness to feedback, and alignment with our core values: keep it simple, lead with honesty, and put people first.

We need people who are keen to take on challenging problems, who seek feedback to grow, and who are driven to make an impact. If you're looking for a place where you can settle into a comfortable routine, this might not be the right fit for you. We’re looking for individuals who are proven experts in their fields, as well as those who are highly adaptable, can thrive in ambiguity and through change, are curious, and above all deliver results.
How we work with AI
We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission. We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. We want team members at all levels to take the approach of actively learning AI best practices, identifying opportunities to apply AI in meaningful ways, and driving innovative solutions in their daily work. Embracing the future of AI isn't just encouraged—it's an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password.
This approach extends to our hiring process—candidates are welcome to use AI tools responsibly and thoughtfully during the application process.
Our approach to work
We recognize the power of both in person collaboration and remote work. Some roles are designated as remote-first, with an expectation that individuals work from their homes majority of the time, while others are designated as in-office roles, with an expectation of being on-site on a regular basis. ABOUT SUPABASE
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for Engineering Managers to lead engineering teams across Supabase. Teams range from developer-facing surfaces, core backend services, Platform, EngOps, and Databases.
This is a single pipeline for engineering management. As we get to know your background, we'll match you to the team where your experience and interests overlap most strongly. The Engineering Manager is a people, delivery, and technical role. Although we don’t expect managers to contribute to code directly, we do expect you to participate in design discussions and to be involved in setting the bar for engineering quality and best practices.
This is a new role at Supabase. We've historically optimised for technical excellence on every axis, including leadership. As our engineering org grows, people leadership has become just as critical, and the Engineering Manager role exists to reflect that. You'll be shaping what this role looks like from day one.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Team & People
- Build a healthy, high-trust team culture in a remote-first, globally distributed environment.
- Run 1:1s, performance management, career development, and onboarding for your direct reports.
- Handle people admin (leave, time off, etc.) for your team.
Hiring
- Own the hiring plan for your team and act as Hiring Manager. First round of interviewer for all roles on the team.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to source, interview, and close strong candidates.
- Contribute to headcount planning, org design, and the evolution of engineering leadership at Supabase.
Delivery & Roadmap
- Own the team's roadmap and project management (Linear), driving accountability and clear milestones.
- Manage workflow intake and Slack triage. These are the team’s primary inboxes for cross-team requests. You decide what gets routed where, prioritized, or pushed back on.
- Own the team's weekly updates and keep stakeholders aligned without creating overhead.
- Organize effort against support tickets and maintain the team's SLO.
- Surface risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs early and clearly to leadership.
Incident Commander
- Train as an Incident Commander. Drive coordination, resolution, and post-incident follow-up.
- Lead blameless post-incident reviews
YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU
- Have 5+ years of engineering background, with enough depth to be credible with engineers building complex systems.
- Have 3+ years managing remote engineering teams.
- Have managed engineering teams at a cloud, SaaS, or developer tools company. Experience with developer tools or databases is a strong preference, but we'll consider any sufficiently technical background where you can demonstrate the ability to ramp on a new domain.
- Have managed remote, globally distributed teams that work asynchronously across disparate time zones.
- Are technical enough to be credible with strong engineers, but genuinely passionate about people management. This is the work you want to do, not a track you're settling for.
- Build psychological safety and a feedback culture: you give feedback often and in the moment, ask for it back, and create space for the team to do the same.
- Operate as a multiplier. Focused on helping individuals achieve more than they could alone, not on being the best technical voice in the room.
- Coach rather than direct. Remove blockers, connect people to context and resources, and trust your engineers to own how the work gets done.
- Have a real track record of performance management and can speak to specific examples of difficult conversations and how you navigated them.
- Are comfortable with ambiguity and capable of building structure where there isn't much.
- Communicate clearly and write well. You're default async, default written, set context proactively, and surface risks early.
- Are collaborative, low-ego, and adaptable. You thrive working with high-autonomy, senior ICs who have strong technical opinions and don't need to be the smartest person in the room.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Fully Remote
We hire globally. We believe you can do your best work from anywhere. There are no Supabase offices, but we provide a WeWork membership or co-working allowance you can use anywhere in the world.
- ESOP
Every team member receives ESOP (equity ownership) in the company. We want everyone to share in the upside of what we’re building together.
- Tech Allowance
Use this budget to set up your ideal work environment—laptop, monitor, headphones, or whatever helps you do your best work.
- Health Benefits
Supabase covers 100% of health insurance for employees and 80% for dependents, wherever you are. Your wellbeing and your family’s health are important to us.
- Annual Off-Sites
Once a year, the entire company gathers in a new city for a week of connection, collaboration, and fun. It’s a highlight of our year.
- Flexible Work
We operate asynchronously and trust you to manage your own time. You know what needs to be done and when.
- Professional Development
Every team member receives an annual education allowance to spend on learning—courses, books, conferences, or anything that supports your growth.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Supabase was born-remote and open-source-first. We believe our globally distributed team is our secret weapon in building tools developers love.
- ~400 team members

We move fast, build in public, and use what we ship. If it’s in your project, we probably use it in ours too. We believe deeply in the open-source ecosystem and strive to support—not replace—existing tools and communities.
Location: Hybrid - New York City
About Vercel:
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.
Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.
About the role:
We are looking for a
Software Engineer
to join the
Agent Stack
team and help build eve — Vercel's framework for building production-ready AI agents. Eve is to agents what Next.js is to web apps: an opinionated, batteries-included framework that lets developers write only what's unique about their agent and have the platform handle the rest. You will design and implement core framework primitives, contribute to eve's runtime (built on Vercel Workflows, AI SDK, and Sandbox), and help shape the developer experience for the next generation of AI-native applications. You will report to the
Director of Vercel's Agent Stack
and will be located
onsite in New York City
.
If you're based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, London, or Berlin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, even if the role is listed as remote. For location-specific details, please connect with our recruiting team.
What you will do:
Design and ship core eve framework features — the file-system conventions, compiler, and runtime that turn an agent directory into a durable, production-ready agent on Vercel.
Build and maintain integrations across eve's channel layer (Slack, Web Chat, WhatsApp, API, Cron, and more) and connections layer (Vercel Connect / MCP endpoints).
Collaborate with the AI SDK, Workflows, and Sandbox teams to ensure eve's primitives compose seamlessly on the Vercel platform.
Drive DX quality — CLI ergonomics, error messages, docs, and examples — so TypeScript/Next.js developers can ship their first agent in minutes.
Contribute to eve's evaluation and observability story: test suites, scoring rubrics, and deployment-time evals that make agents production-safe.
Partner with early customers and internal teams to gather feedback, diagnose agent reliability issues, and iterate rapidly.
About you:
5+ years of production TypeScript/JavaScript experience; comfortable owning complex, stateful systems end to end.
Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts — durable execution, checkpointing, async workflows, and failure recovery.
Experience building or operating developer tooling, frameworks, or SDKs used by external developers.
Familiarity with LLM APIs and agent orchestration patterns (tool calling, multi-agent delegation, human-in-the-loop flows).
Track record of shipping high-quality open-source or customer-facing APIs and caring deeply about API design.
Benefits & Compensation:
Competitive compensation package, including equity.
Inclusive Healthcare Package.
Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
Flexible Time Off.
We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.
The New York, NY base pay range for this role is $208,000-$312,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of NYC may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role. Your recruiter can share more details during the hiring process.

As Marketing Strategy Director at Airalo, you will collaborate closely with the Growth organization to define and optimize acquisition, conversion, and retention targets across regions and channels. You will operate as a central, region agnostic capital allocator within Growth — ensuring time, budget, and effort are deployed toward the highest incremental impact opportunities. Acting as a key partner to Growth leadership, you will turn complex data into clear trade off decisions, pressure test assumptions, and help determine where the next dollar and the next hour should be invested.
In this role, you will own Growth’s forecasting and planning processes, ensuring regional and central teams are aligned on targets, assumptions, and trade offs. You will run the operating cadence for Growth, steward the business inputs, scenario frameworks, and planning logic layered on top of Data’s forecasting model, and translate performance insights into cross regional and cross channel allocation decisions that improve incremental growth and capital efficiency — operating within the financial guardrails set by our Finance team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Forecasting, Planning & Operating Rhythm
Own Growth’s forecasting process end to end: gather assumptions, challenge inputs, coordinate with Data, and prepare forecast narratives for leadership
Maintain and continuously refine the business logic, pacing, scenario planning, and target setting frameworks built on top of Airalo’s forecasting model
Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews — prepare materials, synthesize insights, and ensure follow-ups drive real action
Run weekly operating cadence for Growth: performance reviews, KPI tracking, variance analysis, and strategic escalations
Budget Allocation & Strategic Decision Support
Build data-driven recommendations on spend allocation across regions and channels, using CAC, pLTV, incrementality and ROI insights to optimize for incremental profit/growth
Conduct granular regional deep dives (country/segment/channel) and identify levers to improve growth or efficiency.
Identify cross-regional capital reallocation opportunities and quantify trade-offs between markets (e.g., where incremental $1 delivers highest marginal return).
Partner with Growth, Product, Brand, and Finance to align on targets, trade-offs, and the drivers behind plan variances.
Analytics Partnership & Insight Activation
Serve as Growth’s primary business partner to the Data team: consolidate analytical needs, provide business context, and ensure high-quality inputs into Data’s roadmap.
Translate analytical outputs (forecasts, dashboards, experiment results) into decisions, actions, and processes that stick.
Ensure Growth teams adopt and operationalize dashboards and models — build documentation, training, and clear workflows.
Cross-Functional Strategy & Special Projects
Lead cross-functional projects such as regional/channel diagnostics, efficiency audits, or market deep-dives - including 30 day “drop-in” sprints to fix specific business problems
Build frameworks that guide decision-making: ROI models, sizing models, scenario tools, prioritization structures.
Identify and implement process improvements across the Growth org to increase speed, clarity, and execution quality.
Must Haves:
9+ years in Marketing Strategy, BizOps, FP&A, Management Consulting, Strategy & Operations, or similar analytical roles.
Demonstrated experience owning planning cycles and influencing capital allocation decisions at a multi-market or global level.
Demonstrated ability to maintain forecasting models (Excel/Sheets) and run scenario planning, CAC/LTV experience, pacing, and ROI logic.
Strong analytical proficiency: Excel (advanced), and comfort working with SQL and modern BI tools (Looker, Lightdash, Tableau). Experience with MMM models a plus.
Clear experience turning data into recommendations — not just reporting results, but synthesizing insights into “what we do next.”
Ability to challenge assumptions, pressure-test inputs, and navigate ambiguous or incomplete data.
Experience working cross-functionally with channel leads, PMs, and Data teams; strong communication skills with senior stakeholders.
Comfort managing complex, deadline-driven projects, prioritizing across markets, and driving alignment among multiple teams.
A proactive, structured problem-solver who can pick up unclear problems, untangle them, and deliver clarity with minimal guidance.
Nice To Haves:
Experience in consumer tech, marketplace, travel, or subscription businesses
Familiarity with marketing analytics: attribution, CAC/LTV modeling, incrementality testing, funnel analysis
Comfort coordinating experimentation roadmaps and interpreting lift tests or causal results
Prior experience as the business partner to a Data/Analytics org

In our day-to-day, we value adventure, excellence, generosity, and candor. We are optimists in the face of uncertainty, we take pride in our work, we go the extra mile for each other, and we tell it like it is (the good and the bad). We’re here to do the best work of our lives together.
We believe that real-time collaboration and human connection are necessary ingredients in building a high-velocity, high-trust team. We maintain core hours (9:30am - 2:30pm Pacific) when everyone is online, regardless of timezone. About half of us are located near our hubs in SF and NYC.
In addition to what’s below, you can see all open roles and learn more about our culture on our careers page.
The Role
Engineers at Brilliant work in small, elite teams alongside colleagues from Product, Design, and Content. As an interactives engineer, you’ll craft the building blocks that power Brilliant's interactive learning experiences.
Brilliant's learning experiences blend thoughtful mechanics, intuitive level design, and deep pedagogical insights. Each interactive is driven by APIs designed for learning designers, our LLM-powered content agent, and our AI tutor, with every possible configuration guaranteed to be a correct, solvable, and meaningful puzzle. It's a tricky technical problem with a big payoff for our learners.
Solving this technical challenge enables us to build effective and engaging learning experiences at scale, helping our learners get the reps they need to achieve mastery. With your help, we'll teach all of STEM.
Check out these posts to learn more:
- A world-class tutor in every home

- When “almost right” is catastrophically wrong: Evals for AI learning games
Responsibilities
Craft new interactive building blocks that captivate learners and make foundational concepts addictive to master.
Build clear and expressive APIs designed for experts and AIs.
Own the technical implementation of learning experiences from idea to launch on a cross-functional team that trusts you to do what's right for our users but is there to support you when you need it.
Write simple, robust, readable code that teammates and future engineers can easily maintain and extend.
Contribute to a culture of excellence within your pod, setting high standards for candor and mutual accountability, and striking a careful balance between velocity and quality.
Frequently ask:
How does this impact our learners?
Who are you?
You have at least 7 years of professional experience in web-focused software engineering, ideally with meaningful experience in one or more of game development, animation, or interactive media.
You’re motivated by building robust, maintainable, AI-interoperable software systems that drive user and business outcomes.
You believe in using the right tool for the job — even when it’s an unfamiliar one, and especially when it's a boring one.
You enjoy solving technical challenges in a way simple enough for an intern to understand and build upon. You avoid introducing complex, novel, or "clever" solutions. You write code for humans
and
LLMs to comprehend.
You have a favorite product and can articulate your perspective on what makes using it delightful. You often think about how the products you use could be better.
You're constantly tinkering with AI tools and workflows and have used them to achieve surprising levels of productivity. You have a strongly-held POV on what effective AI-enabled software engineering looks like.
Lack of experience in a specific technology is never disqualifying, but experience with Elm or other functional programming languages would allow you to hit the ground running. This role works with Elm, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and even SVG.
Our Engineering Team
Brilliant's engineering team is small, elite, and AI-enabled. We believe in moving fast, fixing faster, and optimizing for outcomes over outputs. Our team is full of former founders, early employees, and engineering leaders turned ICs whose collective drive, judgement, and standards generate a palpable sense of momentum every day. The norm on this team is doing the very best work of our careers, and we both support and challenge each other every day to do exactly that.
Compensation and Benefits
We use a systematic compensation framework: salary scales are set each year for each job vertical, managers level folks on their team, and those levels are mapped directly to our compensation scales. A location-based adjustment is applied outside of SF and NYC (typically 5-10%) - feel free to ask us about your location!
Given the systematic approach, we always make First and Best offers - there is no negotiation (for new hires nor our existing teammates). This ensures people are paid based on their expected contribution, not their negotiation skills.
We offer top-notch health care plans, with 100% of the premiums covered for medical, dental, and vision for employees.
We offer flexible PTO, with a norm of taking off about 6 weeks per year (including federal holidays). We also provide home office equipment, a professional development stipend, and free food at our offices.

ABOUT US:
AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.
THE ROLE:
We're looking for a People Operations Generalist to join our growing People team. You'll touch the employee lifecycle end-to-end — from offer acceptance through offboarding — while helping to build the processes and documentation that let our People function scale with the business.
This is a great fit for a highly organized, systems-oriented people person who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to build operational foundations, not just maintain them.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Own and continuously improve the new hire onboarding experience, ensuring employees are set up for success and internal tasks are tracked and completed on time.
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions across the full HR spectrum, triaging and routing more complex issues to the right People team member or external partner.
- Maintain and improve self-service resources (FAQs, Notion pages, etc.) so employees can find what they need quickly — and always feel supported even when no one's in the room.
- Support rollouts of new People programs and policies, including communication planning, manager enablement, and documentation.
- Help bring employee experience programs and events to life, from team offsites to milestone recognition, that reinforce culture and make people feel valued.
- Process employee changes (promotions, equity refreshes) accurately and on time, including preparing updated employment letters and maintaining compliant employee files.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of People Operations experience, preferably at a high-growth startup.
- Demonstrated ability to build and document HR processes from the ground up, not just execute existing ones.
- Strong written communication: you write clearly, keep things simple, and know your audience.
- Experience managing employee data with accuracy and discretion.
- Comfortable handling competing priorities without losing track of the details.

Collaborate across the broader People team on cross-functional initiatives and process improvements
About You:
10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HRBP or HR generalist role supporting corporate / G&A functions
Experience operating in a fast-scaling, global tech company; startup or high-growth background strongly preferred

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Most businesses have no idea if they're overpaying for their software. They renew on autopilot, negotiate without benchmarks, and discover vendor alternatives only after the contract is already signed.
Ramp is uniquely positioned to change that. We see billions of dollars of real-world spend and contract data across thousands of companies, and we're turning it into an intelligence layer that tells businesses exactly what they should be paying, which vendors to consider, and when to act.
As PM for Vendor Intelligence & Marketplace, you'll own the product that powers this: our price benchmarking engine, contract analysis (extracting structure and risk from vendor agreements), and the emerging B2B marketplace that connects Ramp's buyer base to the right vendors at the right price. You'll be one of the first PMs building a true buyer-side intelligence layer inside a financial platform, replacing renewal anxiety and negotiation guesswork with data-driven, AI-powered decisions.
Please note that this role requires in-person presence at our NYC or SF office at least 2 days/week.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own the strategy and roadmap for price benchmarks and contract intelligence, turning Ramp's aggregated spend and contract dataset into the most accurate price benchmarking product on the market.
- Build the B2B marketplace primitives that let Ramp's customers discover, compare, and engage with the right vendors, and give vendors a channel to reach Ramp's buyer base with transparent, competitive pricing.
- Design "decision moments": surfaces inside Ramp that deliver the right benchmark, contract context, or vendor alternative at exactly the moment a customer is about to sign, renew, or spend.
- Partner with data science to build the extraction, normalization, and modeling pipelines that power price benchmarks, going from raw contract PDFs and spend data to unit-normalized, SKU-level intelligence a customer can act on in a negotiation.
- Define the evaluation methodology, quality bar, and feedback loops for AI-powered contract analysis, ensuring the accuracy and explainability that enterprise customers require.
- Cover the full vendor lifecycle: discovery and intake through price negotiation, contract signing, and renewal, with the right intelligence surfaced at each step.
- Develop deep understanding of how procurement, finance, and legal teams evaluate, select, and renegotiate vendors, and translate that into sharp product bets with clear customer outcomes.
- Drive cross-functional alignment on dependencies and launch readiness: GTM enablement, customer communications, compliance review, and supportability.
WHAT YOU NEED
- BA/BS in a technical or analytical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, or related).
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally with products where data quality and customer trust are the core value proposition.
- Sharp product judgment on data products and marketplaces: you understand flywheel dynamics, network effects, coverage-versus-accuracy tradeoffs, and the cold-start problem.
- AI fluency: hands-on experience building AI features, comfort with LLM-based extraction and retrieval, evaluation methodology, and human-in-the-loop design.
- Strong commercial instincts: you understand how businesses buy software, what levers drive negotiation outcomes, and why price transparency changes behavior.
- Track record building products where trust is earned over time: explainability, auditability, graceful degradation, and clear user controls.
- Comfort working in technical environments (Figma, SQL, Git) and prototyping quickly with modern AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor).
- Clear, direct communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders; ability to make a crisp case for a product bet without a deck full of slides.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience building price benchmarking, market intelligence, or contract analytics products, anywhere from procurement software to B2B SaaS to fintech.
- Marketplace experience: supply/demand matching, seller acquisition, buyer discovery, and the trust primitives that make two-sided systems work.
- Document understanding: OCR, LLM-based extraction, normalizing structured data from unstructured contracts.
- Background in procurement, vendor management, or enterprise SaaS buying and selling, either as a PM or as a practitioner.
- Familiarity with compliance-adjacent domains: vendor due diligence, security reviews, NDAs, audit trails.
- Experience at a high-growth startup taking 0→1 products to scale.

We obsess over what we build. Each one of us is responsible for contributing to increasing the capabilities of our models and the value they drive for our customers. Cohere is a team of researchers, engineers, designers, and more, who are all passionate about their craft.
We are a global technology company headquartered in Toronto with key offices in London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul. Join us!
ABOUT NORTH
North is Cohere's agentic AI platform: it securely deploys AI agents and automations inside an organization's own infrastructure, combining generative and search models with customizable integrations to drive productivity at scale.
OVERVIEW
North is only as valuable as the systems it can reach - CRM, ITSM, productivity suites, data warehouses, knowledge stores, and identity. You'll own that integrations surface end to end.
It’s a dual mandate: own the integrations themselves (prioritize, ship, and drive adoption) and build the underlying platform capabilities they depend on when those don't yet exist.
OUTCOMES
- Family of integrations that are adopted and driving customer value, measured by usage and retention.
- Reusable, platform-level capabilities and a developer and partner on-ramp that scale across use cases.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define the integration ecosystem strategy for North - roadmap, catalogue priorities, and partner posture - anchored to customer demand and revenue.
- Own North's integrations end to end, and partner with strategic customers to define transformative, integrations-based workflows.
- Derive generic, platform-level capabilities (connector framework, auth and identity, tool-use, data sync, permissioning) where they don't yet exist, partnering with the core-experience team on shared work.
- Collaborate with forward-deployed engineering to define how to evolve integration work into reusable product, to scope, sequence, and build it.
- Define the developer and partner experience (APIs, SDKs, plugin model, docs) and instrument analytics to track adoption, time-to-stand-up, and retention.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years in product management on platform / API, integrations, or developer / ecosystem products.
- Track record shipping integration, connector, or platform products with real impact on adoption, expansion, or retention.
- Experience working directly with high-stakes customers and ecosystem partners.
- Technical fluency with APIs, auth, data models, and integration architecture; comfortable with first-party vs. partner vs. self-serve tradeoffs.
- Analytical and metrics-first, and a strong cross-functional collaborator across engineering, design, and field / deployment teams.
- Experience with AI-first product management.
- Bias for shipping and iterating.
- Experience with a least a few domains of: Agentic AI, LLMs, Automation, Productivity, Enterprise security and compliance.

GiveWell’s mission is to help people in need as much as we can by researching the most cost‑effective ways to save and improve lives, sharing our work openly, and directing donations to the programs we believe will do the most good. Our work, which focuses on global health and well-being, is funded by tens of thousands of donors who rely on our research to inform their giving. We’ve grown from directing $1.5 million in 2010 to directing more than $400 million in 2025. We anticipate our total grantmaking is likely to approach or even exceed $1 billion this year, and we are working toward a future that could be several times that scale. Through years of deliberate groundwork, we’ve been growing our research capacity and scope in order to direct substantially more funding to the most impactful opportunities we can find.
The role
Senior Program Officers are the leaders of GiveWell's grantmaking. In this role, you'll take primary responsibility for a significant grantmaking portfolio, setting its strategy and sifting through the many opportunities we could fund to focus on those that matter most. Your decisions will inform the allocation of hundreds of millions of dollars to dozens of grantees. You'll also communicate externally about our work and mentor and advise other members of the team.
You will build and lead a grantmaking portfolio that brings rigor and creativity to GiveWell's hardest funding problems. You'll combine rigorous review of empirical evidence, cost-effectiveness modeling, strong grantee relationships, ground-truthing of how programs are actually delivered, discussions with subject matter experts, understanding of the broader context, and your own judgment to decide what to fund, how to structure it, and when to build something new. In the course of your work, you might approach questions like these:
How should we balance exploring and seeding new, smaller opportunities with funding cost-effective opportunities at scale today?
When the best opportunity doesn't exist yet, how do we create it, whether through co-design, seeding an implementer, or shaping broader incentives?
What is the best direction for our portfolio, and are we correctly prioritizing the programs and grantees we fund?
Where are the highest-impact opportunities to expand the portfolio while improving its cost-effectiveness?
How can we triangulate empirical evidence against expert opinion and other qualitative features, like a grantee's organizational track record?
Do a grantee's reported outputs reflect real coverage, quality, and adherence to evidence-based practices on the ground?
What research can we fund today that could substantially improve our grantmaking five years from now?
How much uncertainty are we willing to accept before making a grant, and which questions do we need to answer first?
Senior Program Officers work closely with
Senior Researchers
, an equivalently-leveled, parallel role on our team. Senior Researchers typically set the research agenda for grantmaking areas and tackle the thorniest, most open-ended questions we face, while Senior Program Officers own the grant and portfolio decisions — deciding what we fund and why, and incorporating Senior Researchers' analysis into their decisionmaking. Senior Program Officers have a research mindset, too: they're comfortable digging into a cost-effectiveness model and forming their own view of the evidence.
Team structure
Our research department is currently organized into eight teams:
Five of the teams (Water, Livelihoods, Nutrition, Malaria, and Vaccines) focus on specific areas of grantmaking.
The New Areas team focuses on interventions in domains that are new to GiveWell.
The Cross-Cutting team focuses on methodological issues, research quality, and other big-picture concerns that cut across all of our research work.
The Commons team provides generalized research support to each of the other teams, including landscaping research, vetting, and publishing.
New Senior Program Officers typically begin on our Cross-Cutting team, where they complete a structured onboarding program with one-on-one feedback on core GiveWell skills like evidence review, cost-effectiveness analysis, and clear research writing. Onboarding usually lasts one to two months.
We generally decide which team a new hire will join by the end of onboarding. Most move onto one of our grantmaking teams (for example, Malaria, Nutrition, Vaccines, or New Areas), and some stay on Cross-Cutting. Placement is based mainly on the research team's needs. In most cases, we won't know at the time of the offer which team someone will join, but if a candidate brings specialized expertise, we may settle on a team sooner. Once placed, team members usually stay on that team long-term.
Team values
We think our research team has unique qualities:
We care deeply and centrally about finding and sharing truth.
Truth-seeking is one of our
core values
. We post
our mistakes
and we prize our team members who keep our culture of free-flowing feedback strong.
We are independent.
We focus 100% on finding the most cost-effective opportunities to save and improve lives. Our researchers assist in communicating our research findings to the public and our donors, and on occasion we provide tailored advice to ultra-high-net-worth donors who want to rely on our expertise to direct their giving—but we never ask our researchers to trade off against honesty, or to hide their real beliefs.
We don’t waste time.
Once it’s clear that a particular research question is unlikely to change our bottom-line funding recommendation, we drop it as quickly as possible. We encourage our research staff to constantly re-evaluate their portfolios and only work on the highest-priority questions.
Lean research team = huge personal impact.
In 2026,
our research team of ~80 people is directing close to 1 billion dollars and we expect grantmaking dollars per research team member to increase in the future.
We work well together.
Our research team is lean because we’re able to attract top-tier people, all of whom complete skills-based assessments before joining our staff. We maintain a high-performing, collegial culture and pay our staff accordingly.
About you
The strongest candidates typically have at least 5-10 years of professional experience, a significant portion of which was in similar or closely-related roles. Many of our senior staff have quantitatively-oriented advanced degrees, but there’s no hard academic requirement — what matters to us is that you’ve used empirical tools to make rigorous, evidence-based decisions under uncertainty, whether you’ve done that in graduate training or hands-on experience.
In addition to relevant experience with the responsibilities listed above, we'll be interested in people with strong track records in any of the following areas:
Funding, building or scaling new programs, initiatives, or organizations.
Using rigorous quantitative analysis and cost-effectiveness modeling to support decisionmaking
Building relationships with diverse stakeholders (you'll work with other funders, research organizations, NGOs, and more, so it will be important for you to have strong skill in this area)
Owning large budgets and/or grant portfolios
Excellent written and verbal communication, with an emphasis on directness and clarity
Setting and iterating on strategy in complex, fast moving environments
It’s a plus, but not required, if you have experience:
Engaging with global health, development, or related fields
Reviewing randomized controlled trials and impact evaluations
Working with governments or multilateral organizations
Gathering first-hand data to inform program design
Managing a variety of grant types, including advocacy and market-shaping initiatives
You can review our staff bios
here
for more practical insight on the backgrounds and experience of our current team.
We expect that people with the soft qualities below will be the most successful and happy on our team. This isn’t a full list, but hopefully it conveys the gist of our team’s professional personality:
GiveWell’s mission and methods are personally energizing—you like our approach to research and you find personal meaning in our story of impact.
You’re abnormally curious—you ask lots of questions, and you’re willing to interrogate others’ work. Your curiosity also extends to your own work—you aren’t defensive when your research comes under scrutiny.
You get things done, and you'll drop what you're doing when something matters more. You drive work to conclusions efficiently, and when the evidence shifts or a higher-value opportunity appears, you’re eager to pivot.
You're entrepreneurial. When you see a gap, you want to fill it, whether that's designing a new program, finding an implementer, or setting up a new kind of funding mechanism. You make bets under uncertainty.
You routinely think about and surface the value judgments, background knowledge, and strategic commitments that undergird your work. You understand the potential effects of mistaken mental models, so you strive to improve yours and your team’s.
You dislike it when people express strong confidence in views that don’t seem to rely on commensurate evidence. You carefully and legibly communicate about your confidence levels.
You appreciate the value of an excellent reputation and strong relationships. You can moderate your directness and intensity when you’re communicating with external folks.
You love a
gnarly problem
. You figure out the most important questions to answer, go deep on the details where they matter (and move on where they don’t), and reassess your mental models based on what you’ve learned.

Benefits
: Our
benefits
include:
Fully funded health, dental, vision, and life insurance (we cover 100% of premiums within the US for you and any dependents)
Four weeks of paid time off per year
16 weeks of fully paid parental leave
Ergonomic home workstations or coworking space memberships
Automatic contribution equal to 5% of your gross salary into your 403(b) retirement plan (for U.S. based staff)
Countries we can hire from:
GiveWell is a remote-first organization. However, for the time being, we can only hire within a select number of countries (US, UK, Canada, Switzerland, and Germany). To be considered for a role with GiveWell, you need to already be based in one of those countries or be willing to move to one of them. We expect to expand the list of locations where we can hire over the course of 2027, and our job descriptions always reflect the current status — so we'd encourage you to check back and apply again for a role you're eligible for.
Visa sponsorship:
The US is the only country where visa sponsorship is possible for a number of roles, and it's assessed on a case by case basis. For all other countries, you need to already have work authorization, we cannot sponsor visas.
Why we work this way:
Focusing on countries where we already have tested onboarding processes lets us move candidates through hiring faster and with fewer surprises. Every additional country brings its own labor laws, EOR requirements, and new processes to work through, which slows things down for hiring teams and new colleagues alike. Concentrating our footprint keeps the experience consistent and supports GiveWell’s wider absorption capacity goals.
Flexibility:
We support and encourage flexible working, including flexible hours, working remotely, and working from the office when you choose. The majority of our staff, including senior management, work flexibly in one way or another.
Travel:
Research team members are sometimes required to attend international site visits and conferences (on average 1-2 per year), with additional travel for those interested in traveling more. Additionally, we strongly encourage staff members to attend annual department retreats and twice-annual whole org visit weeks to bond with other team members and complete in-person work. We'll discuss travel obligations in more detail during late stages of the hiring process, and we’ll accommodate staff who have conflicting obligations.
Start date:
We’d like a candidate to start as soon as possible after receiving an offer, but we’ll offer flexibility for candidates whose personal or professional circumstances require them to moderately delay their start date.
Application deadline:
We don't currently have an application deadline. If that changes, we'll update the posting. We're reviewing applications on a rolling basis, so we recommend applying as soon as possible.
Miscellaneous details:
Please note that our hiring process relies on some (not all) of the same work trials that we use in our Researcher and Senior Researcher roles (including team-specific Senior Researcher postings). If you applied to one of these roles within the last year, you should hold off on applying to others unless our team reaches out directly. If you're interested in multiple roles, please just apply once and note in your application that you'd like to be considered for the other roles, too.
After application review, our hiring process consists of a short application exercise and up to 15 hours of compensated work trials. You can see more details about our hiring process on our
FAQs page
!
We devote significant staff capacity to initial application review, and we respond to all applications as quickly as possible.
We have a strong preference for full-time applicants, but we sometimes consider applications for part-time work on a case-by-case basis. We aren’t interested in reviewing applications for contract or project-based work at this time.
If we settle on an application deadline, we’ll write it in bold here. If you’re on our website job posting and don’t see a deadline, there is no deadline. If you’re reading this on an external job board and don’t see a deadline, you should double-check on our
website
.
You don't need to submit a cover letter—we rely mainly on your resume and answers to the application questions below when we're making early decisions.

cost-effective opportunities outside of those programs
.
GiveWell
grants
have:
Helped governments
navigate changes to the funding landscape
and implement high-impact health programs, like
HIV/syphilis screening and treatment
for pregnant people in Zambia and Cameroon.
Sought to scope and scale promising interventions that don’t have clear existing implementers. We are supporting the
Clinton Health Access Initiative’s Incubator
to identify potentially cost-effective interventions and create programs that we would be excited to support in the future. For example, we
funded a program
to prevent tuberculosis among young children in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, India, that we co-designed with CHAI through the Incubator program.
Provided funding to ensure that programs that recently faced foreign aid funding cuts could continue, like
healthcare support and malnutrition treatment
in northern Cameroon.
Funded program delivery alongside strengthened monitoring and evaluation, as in our grants to support
treatment of clubfoot
and to
evaluate the program
.
Tested our
assumptions and refined our understanding
through further research and data collection, including
improved estimates of disease burden
and studies on
the effect of water chlorination on mortality
and
the impact of a tree-planting program on farmers’ income
.
We make our reasoning public and transparent so others can challenge it (sometimes we even
pay people to point out our errors
). We go to unusual lengths to check our assumptions and assess our impact, including
funding research
to address our uncertainties and gathering
independent monitoring and evaluation data
about the programs we support. We
change
our minds when the evidence demands it. For more about GiveWell, listen to Ezra Klein’s
