We’re scaling fast and staying true to what makes us different: an open-source legacy, a global collaborative culture, and a passion for meaningful work. Our team thrives in an innovation-driven environment where transparency, autonomy, and trust fuel everything we do.
You may not meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If this role excites you, we’d love you to raise your hand for what could be a truly career-defining opportunity.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a
Marketing Analytics Director
to lead the evolution of our marketing data stack and raise the analytical rigor of the entire marketing organization. This is a critical role for a builder-practitioner who works at the intersection of Data Science, Marketing Strategy, GTM, and AI Operations. You won't just report on the funnel. You will build the systems that make every analyst on this team sharper, including the AI agents themselves.
As the
Marketing Analytics Director
, you will be the lead architect of our data-driven growth engine, connecting high-level strategy with advanced technical execution. You will move beyond traditional reporting to build a self-sustaining marketing ecosystem, leveraging Google BigQuery, Grafana, and agentic AI to create a unified source of truth and a culture of analytical rigor. Your mandate is to move the needle on demand generation across the entire marketing funnel, while raising the standard for how analytical work gets produced, challenged, and shipped across the org.
You will architect a dual-track target-setting framework that balances high-velocity top-of-funnel growth with deep-funnel quality, ensuring GTM resources are directed toward high-converting user cohorts optimized for Grafana adoption and long-term retention.
You will be expected to engineer the underlying data schemas, design predictive models, and implement the BI frameworks that shape our global GTM strategy. We are looking for a technical expert who can translate complex data into clear executive-level direction and who proactively builds systems that prevent AI-generated noise from drowning out actual signals.
What You'll Be Doing
Strategic GTM Partnership:
Serve as the primary strategic partner to the GTM Leadership team (VP of Demand Gen, VP of Regional and Events, Head of Marketing Ops, CMO, Revenue Operations, Sales leadership and more), translating complex data into a clear roadmap for demand generation and revenue growth.
Dual-Track Target Setting:
Architect and own a sophisticated forecasting framework that balances top-of-funnel volume with high-intent lead quality, optimized for Grafana Cloud conversion and retention.
Predictive Modeling and ROI:
Develop and maintain machine learning models (Attribution, MMM, LTV) to predict campaign impact and steer budget allocation toward the highest-ROI channels.
Data Warehouse Architecture:
Oversee the structure of marketing data within Google BigQuery, ensuring a scalable single source of truth that connects product usage data with marketing touchpoints.
Causal Inference and Inflection Hunting:
Move beyond descriptive analytics to perform causal inference and predictive trend analysis. When the data shows an anomaly, whether a 3-month spike, a regional dip, or a campaign that overperformed, isolate the window and dig in.
Executive Storytelling:
Transform technical data outputs into clear, compelling narratives for the executive team and board. Deliver a succinct read and go deep where pushed.
Utilizing AI and Automation
Agentic Insights:
Deploy LLM-powered agents (Claude Code, MCP-based tooling, or comparable) to monitor BigQuery datasets and automatically flag quality shifts in the funnel before they impact revenue.
Autonomous Workflows:
Implement orchestration patterns (N8N, custom MCP servers, or equivalent) to build self-healing data pipelines and automated responses to market signals, such as automated spend shifts based on conversion anomalies.
Predictive Quality Scoring:
Build and deploy AI-driven scoring models that separate high-value potential users from low-signal volume, helping Sales and Marketing prioritize effectively.
What Makes You a Great Fit
8+ years in Marketing Analytics, GTM Strategy, or Data Science, with at least 2 years in a lead architect capacity (IC track or player-coach; people management not required) within a high-growth SaaS or PLG environment.
Demonstrated history as a force multiplier. You can point to specific tooling, rituals, evaluator systems, or frameworks you built that made other analysts or the broader org measurably better. A portfolio of dashboards you personally produced is not sufficient.
Data Science and Engineering: Mastery of SQL and Python required. Deep experience architecting data environments in Google BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar warehouses.
Hands-on AI fluency as a builder, not a user. You have built and shipped agentic systems with Claude Code, MCP, or comparable tools. You understand where LLMs fail and how to design around those limitations. You have built evaluator agents, prompt-grading systems, or analytical quality tooling in production.
Automation Proficiency: Hands-on experience building complex logic and integrations using N8N, custom API orchestration, or MCP-based tooling.
Visualization and BI: Advanced proficiency in modern data stack visualization tools (Grafana, Looker, Tableau) to build executive-grade dashboards.
Strategic Acumen: Proven ability to create structure in highly ambiguous environments and build target-setting frameworks from scratch.
MarTech Ecosystem: Deep familiarity with connectivity between Salesforce, marketing automation, and product-led data streams.
Executive presence with experience presenting to executive and board audiences, including sound judgment about what data is and isn't ready to share up the chain.
Bonus Points For
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, CS, Statistics, Business Analytics). MBA or MS in Data Science is a significant plus.

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the role
The Global Alliance Lead is one of the most strategically important roles in our Ecosystem. You will own our relationship with one of the world's leading technology and transformation partners end-to-end — from C-suite engagement through to practitioner enablement and joint pipeline creation. You will be the architect of how the GSI and NewCo go to market together, ensuring our platform becomes the trusted data foundation inside the GSI’s agentic AI delivery practice globally.
This is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the Global Head of GSI Relationships. You will orchestrate across sales, partner solution architecture, marketing, and partner operations — bringing the full weight of the organisation to bear on one of our highest-leverage commercial relationships.
What You'll Do
Relationship strategy and executive engagement
Own the global GSI relationship at partner and C-suite level, building trusted relationships with Client, practice and delivery team leads.
Define and execute a multi-year joint strategy that positions dbt + Fivetran as the default open data infrastructure layer within the GSI’s enterprise AI and agentic workflow delivery
Represent NewCo at GSI’s internal forums, client briefings, and industry events — articulating a compelling narrative around open data infrastructure and its relevance to the GSI’s strategy.
Platform integration and practitioner adoption
Drive adoption of the dbt + Fivetran platform within GSI delivery teams — ensuring practitioners, solution architects and practice leads are certified, confident, and actively recommending the platform in client engagements
Work with GSI's practice leadership to embed NewCo's platform into their business groups, standard delivery architectures, RFP responses and client proposals — with particular focus on GSI's Data & AI practices
Enablement and go-to-market
Design and execute a frictionless enablement programme for GSI practitioners globally — certifications, reference architectures, use case playbooks, and joint delivery assets
Partner with GSI's marketing and alliances teams to develop joint go-to-market campaigns anchored to open data infrastructure, trusted AI delivery, and closing the gap between AI POC and production
Support GSI in building and positioning client-facing agentic AI value accelerators — with NewCo platform as the foundational data layer — the "NewCo inside" model
Pipeline and opportunity development
Source and develop new pipeline opportunities through the GSI relationship — identifying client situations where open data infrastructure creates measurable value.
Drive co-sell motions alongside GSI account teams, ensuring NewCo is present and influential at the point of client opportunity
Maintain a rigorous view of GSI-engaged pipeline — tracking opportunity sourcing, progression, and closed business attributed to the alliance
Telemetry and performance
Define and track the signals that indicate a healthy, high-performing GSI relationship: certifications, sourced opportunities, platform deployments, practitioner engagement, and joint wins
Report regularly to the Global Head of GSI Relationships on alliance health, pipeline contribution, and strategic progress
Identify risks and gaps in the relationship early and mobilise internal resources to address them
What you will bring
15+ years of experience in strategic alliances, enterprise sales, or partner management within the data, cloud, or enterprise software industry
Demonstrated experience managing complex, global relationships with major consulting firms or global system integrators at a senior level
Deep understanding of the modern data stack and the business value of open data infrastructure — dbt, Fivetran, or equivalent experience strongly preferred
Ability to engage credibly at C-suite and partner level within a global consulting organisation — understanding how GSIs make decisions, build practices, and go to market
Strong commercial instincts — able to identify, thoroughly qualify and develop joint pipeline opportunities, not just manage existing relationships
Track record of operating as a cross-functional orchestrator — influencing without direct authority across sales, engineering, marketing, and operations
Exceptional communication and storytelling skills — able to translate technical platform capabilities into compelling business narratives for consulting and enterprise audiences
Familiarity with AI, agentic workflows, and the data governance landscape is a strong advantage + strong knowledge of GSI's operating model and contacts within.
Willingness to travel globally to engage GSI leadership and teams across regions
What Success Looks Like in Year One
A clearly defined joint strategy with GSI signed off at partner Executive level and on track to primary Global Strategic Practice.
Material increase in GSI practitioner certifications and active platform deployments across Data & AI and Insights & Data practices
GSI-sourced pipeline contributing measurably to NewCo's revenue
At least two joint go-to-market campaigns live in the market delivering pipeline — anchored to GSI's agentic AI and trusted data agenda
First client-facing agentic value accelerators built on NewCo platform delivered with GSI — positioning NewCo as the trusted data infrastructure inside GSI's AI delivery
A telemetry framework in place tracking alliance health and pipeline influence
Why This Role
This is a rare opportunity to own a marquee relationship at a defining moment for both companies. GSI’s are publicly committing to capturing the full value of the agentic AI revolution for customers — and the merged dbt + Fivetran platform is the trusted data infrastructure that makes AI production-ready. The person who builds this alliance well will sit at the intersection of the two most important forces in enterprise technology right now: the scale of a global systems integrator and the open infrastructure that makes AI trustworthy enough to deploy at scale.
This position qualifies for Fivetran’s incentive plan, and it’s common for employees in this role to achieve the total on-target earnings.

About the role
We're hiring a Product Manager to lead the dbt v2 roadmap — the future of dbt Labs' intellectual property and a critical driver of product-led growth. You will own net-new functionality in Fusion that identifies and monetizes local deployments of dbt, shipping net new features, many of which also land in dbt Core, as well as proprietary ELv2 plugins that integrate seamlessly with the dbt platform.
This role is co-located with our dbt v2 engineering team in the US to accelerate execution, strengthen prioritization, and ensure tight alignment across product, engineering, and platform teams. You'll bridge open source product strategy with technical delivery and business impact, translating strategic investments into shipped features that drive the Fusion PLG motion.
In this role, you will
Own and deliver the dbt v2 roadmap, shipping net new functionality to dbt v2 like SQL comprehension, compute, governance, and SAO
Define requirements for Fusion features that integrate seamlessly with the dbt platform and unlock enterprise value
Keep the Fusion engineering team aligned, unblocked, and executing on a predictable cadence
Contribute hands-on to the dbt Core / Fusion codebases, including code reviews, documentation, and small feature implementations
Collaborate with OSS strategy leads, platform PM peers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver a unified roadmap
What success looks like
Shipping net-new features on a predictable quarterly cadence
Measurable contribution to Fusion PLG growth metrics, including identification and monetization of local dbt deployments
Hands-on contributions to dbt Core and Fusion code bases, including merged PRs and meaningful improvements to the open source codebase
Strong execution and alignment across the Fusion engineering team
You're a good fit if you have
5+ years of product management experience in technical domains such as developer tooling, data platforms, or open source software
Strong grasp of system architectures, particularly for local deployments and how they scale to enterprise use cases
Understanding of how open source investments drive PLG growth and product strategy
Ability to bridge technical delivery with business impact, translating features into revenue and growth metrics
Experience working with engineering teams to define, prioritize, and ship complex technical features
Strong communication skills with empathy for open source contributors and enterprise users alike
Nice to have
Hands-on experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
Background in plugin architectures, extensibility systems, or platform ecosystems
Understanding of PLG motions and freemium-to-paid conversion strategies
Experience with SQL engines, query optimization, or compute systems
Prior experience as an engineer whose worked with modern development frameworks (examples: React, Typescript, Python, etc.)

1Password is growing. We’ve surpassed $500M in ARR and we’re continuing to accelerate, earning a spot on the Forbes Cloud 100 for four years in a row and teaming up with iconic partners like Oracle Red Bull Racing.
About 1Password
At 1Password, we’re building the foundation for a safe, productive digital future. Our mission is to unleash employee productivity without compromising security by ensuring every identity is authentic, every application sign-in is secure, and every device is trusted. We innovated the market-leading enterprise password manager and pioneered Unified Access Management, a new cybersecurity category built for the way people and AI agents work today. As one of the most loved brands in cybersecurity, we take a human-centric approach in everything from product strategy to user experience. Over 180,000 businesses, from Fortune 100 leaders to the world’s most innovative AI companies, trust 1Password to help their teams securely adopt the SaaS and AI tools they need to do their best work.
If you're excited about the opportunity to contribute to the digital safety of millions, to work alongside a team of curious, driven individuals, and to solve hard problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you. Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future.
We are hiring a Principal Engineer to help define the technical direction for core product experiences at 1Password.
This is a senior individual contributor role for an engineer who can translate ambitious product strategy into systems that scale technically and operationally. You will drive architecture, engineering standards, and technical direction across the product ecosystem, working across client applications, distributed services, data platforms, and shared infrastructure to build experiences that are secure, reliable, performant, and maintainable. This is not a role scoped to a single team or subsystem. The expectation is organization-level technical leadership: shaping how Product Engineering approaches complex cross-cutting problems, guiding long-term architectural investments, and establishing the technical patterns and operational standards other teams build against.
You will operate across the full lifecycle of product engineering work, from architecture and system design through production operations and long-term evolution. Success in this role requires balancing product velocity with engineering durability, making pragmatic technical tradeoffs, and driving alignment across teams with different priorities and constraints.
You will help evolve the next generation of 1Password’s product architecture, including the responsible integration of AI capabilities into core product experiences. Security and privacy by default, cross-platform consistency, operational resilience, and enterprise-scale reliability are foundational requirements that must be reflected in every architectural decision.
If you want to build systems used daily by millions of individuals and hundreds of thousands of businesses, and solve engineering problems where distributed systems, reliability, usability, security, and intelligent automation all matter simultaneously, this is that role.
How we’re using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
- You have designed and operated large-scale distributed systems where reliability, scalability, maintainability, and operational excellence matter.
- You have deep experience driving architecture and technical direction across multiple teams, organizations, or product domains.
- You have strong systems-thinking instincts and can reason effectively about platform boundaries, distributed systems constraints, developer ergonomics, and long-term technical sustainability.
- You have experience building customer-facing product systems across clients, APIs, distributed services, cloud infrastructure, and data platforms.
- You have experience building or scaling event-driven systems, microservices architectures, or shared platform infrastructure in production environments.
- You have practical experience integrating AI or ML capabilities into production applications and understand the engineering tradeoffs involved in introducing AI into trust-sensitive product experiences.
- You have strong instincts for privacy-preserving and security-conscious system design, including thoughtful handling of telemetry, user data, permissions, and auditability.
- You are effective at driving alignment across teams with different incentives, priorities, and technical perspectives.
- You communicate clearly with engineers, executives, and cross-functional partners, and can explain complex technical tradeoffs in practical terms.
- You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and helping organizations make durable technical decisions before every variable is known.
Bonus points for:
- Experience in identity, authentication, authorization, secrets management, enterprise security, or trust-oriented product domains.
- Experience building large-scale event-driven or multi-region distributed systems in cloud environments.
- Experience building cross-platform applications or shared platform architectures at scale.
- Experience with developer platforms, internal engineering frameworks, CI/CD systems, or large-scale infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Experience integrating LLMs or AI-assisted workflows into customer-facing SaaS applications.
- Experience with endpoint trust, browser or extension security, enterprise administration workflows, or device posture systems.
- Experience mentoring engineers and raising the engineering bar across organizations through technical leadership and operational excellence.
What you can expect:
- Define architecture and technical direction for core product capabilities spanning clients, distributed services, data platforms, and shared infrastructure.
- Establish engineering standards and reusable architectural patterns for scalable, maintainable, and resilient product systems across Product Engineering.
- Drive long-term technical strategy across critical product areas, balancing immediate delivery needs with scalability, operational excellence, and platform sustainability.
- Partner closely with Product, Design, Security, Privacy, Infrastructure, and Data teams to ensure technical decisions support both customer outcomes and long-term operational durability.
- Guide how AI-powered capabilities are integrated into customer-facing product experiences, ensuring systems are reliable, observable, operationally safe, and aligned with customer trust expectations.
- Define engineering expectations for AI-enabled product systems, including evaluation frameworks, rollout safety, telemetry, fallback behavior, auditability, and operational controls.
- Establish shared platform capabilities and infrastructure patterns that allow teams to build product features consistently across clients, services, APIs, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Influence and drive key architectural decisions around distributed systems design, event-driven architectures, synchronization models, scalability, performance, reliability, extensibility, and platform interoperability.
- Help teams navigate difficult technical tradeoffs, unblock large cross-functional initiatives, and reduce systemic engineering complexity across the organization.
- Raise the operational bar for production systems through stronger reliability practices, observability standards, incident readiness, performance analysis, and engineering discipline.
- Mentor and influence engineers across the organization through technical leadership, architecture reviews, design guidance, and hands-on problem solving.
What success looks like:
Success in this role means Product Engineering can scale product development without sacrificing reliability, maintainability, security, or customer trust. That includes:
- Durable architectural patterns that enable teams to move faster with less duplication and lower operational overhead.
- Product systems that scale reliably across platforms, enterprise environments, and growing customer complexity.
- Engineering teams making more consistent technical decisions with clearer standards and stronger shared foundations.
- AI-powered product experiences that are useful, measurable, trustworthy, and operationally safe.
- Reduced systemic friction across development, delivery, observability, and cross-team coordination.
- Stronger operational resilience, including improved reliability, debuggability, rollout safety, and incident response readiness.
- Technical investments that improve long-term engineering velocity instead of creating organizational drag or platform fragmentation.

About The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Staff Mobile Engineer to join our OEX Mobile Growth team — a pure mobile team sitting at the intersection of engineering rigour, consumer growth craft, and product instinct. This is not a feature delivery role. You will own the client-side architecture for new user acquisition, referral and virality mechanics, and the reward and conversion funnels that drive growth for millions of users.
You bring deep expertise in mobile attribution — from MMP design and evolution through to anti-fraud, channel revenue sharing, and ROI evaluation — and you know how to turn attribution data into decisions. You are also fluent in AI-assisted development and bring the discipline to build, maintain, and continuously improve your own AI engineering workflows.
What You'll Be Doing
Own the client-side architecture for core growth conversion flows — new user acquisition, referral and virality loops, reward mechanics, and activity-driven engagement systems.
Design and evolve the mobile attribution system — including MMP integration, attribution modelling, and the application of attribution data across anti-fraud, channel revenue sharing, and ROI evaluation scenarios.
Build and optimise growth infrastructure including funnel instrumentation, experiment frameworks, and acquisition loops that directly serve the mobile user base.
Collaborate closely with Product, Business Development, and local market teams to translate commercial goals into concrete, data-backed engineering proposals.
Drive technical decision-making on growth infrastructure, articulating trade-offs clearly and defending or revising positions based on evidence.
Apply AI coding tools actively in your workflow — not just for code generation, but to build and maintain repeatable personal AI development workflows.
Mentor engineers on the team and help establish a culture where engineers bring solutions, not just responses.
What We Look For In You
8+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production-quality systems at scale.
Deep familiarity with new user growth, referral and virality mechanics, activity and reward systems, and the client-side architecture behind core business conversion flows.
Strong expertise in mobile attribution design and evolution — hands-on experience with attribution platforms and solutions, and proven ability to drive attribution data into anti-fraud, channel revenue sharing, and ROI evaluation applications.
Proficient in AI-assisted development — able to independently build and maintain personal AI engineering workflows, not just use AI tools ad hoc.
Data instincts: you think in funnels, know how to instrument what matters, and use metrics to drive decisions.
Outspoken and proposal-driven — you come to the table with a point of view, push back when you disagree, and bring data and a counter-proposal rather than just flagging concerns.
Strong cross-functional communication — comfortable working with Product, Business Development, and local markets to align on goals and hold the line on engineering quality.
Nice-To-Haves
Mobile development experience in iOS (Swift/Objective-C) or Android (Kotlin/Java) — or backend experience building growth systems that serve mobile apps directly.
Depth in MMPs such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, or SKAdNetwork.
Experience building referral systems, k-factor mechanics, or anti-fraud layers.
A/B experiment framework ownership at meaningful scale.
ASO operational experience (App Store Connect, Google Play Console).
Background in fintech, crypto, or regulated consumer financial products.
Experience operating across APAC, EEA, or US markets.

Competitive total compensation package
L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
Various team building programs and company events

About The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Staff Mobile Engineer to join our Mobile Infrastructure team, the foundational engineering group that powers the OKX app for millions of daily active users. This is not a feature delivery role. You will work at the platform layer, building the tools, frameworks, and systems that enable product engineering teams to move faster, ship higher quality code, and scale reliably.
You are deeply native in either iOS or Android, and confident contributing across both platforms leveraging AI coding tools to move fluidly between stacks. You care about engineering quality at the foundation level: architecture, performance, toolchain, and developer experience.
What You'll Be Doing
Build and maintain mobile infrastructure, tooling, and shared frameworks that improve engineering efficiency and developer experience across the organisation.
Analyse and optimise application code at the UI and infrastructure layer, including memory footprint, package size, startup time, and rendering performance.
Design and develop reusable, scalable mobile components for use across iOS and Android platforms.
Partner with product engineering teams to deliver infrastructure solutions, establish best practices, and drive technical standards.
Drive architecture innovations that support world-class mobile app development at scale.
Optimise project structure and engineering workflows to improve productivity, quality, and release velocity.
Apply AI coding tools to accelerate infrastructure development, improve code quality, and cross-translate solutions across iOS and Android platforms.
Stay current with mobile platform developments and emerging toolchain innovations, evaluating and adopting what moves the needle.
What We Look For In You
6+ years of native iOS or Android development experience, with a strong track record in infrastructure, platform, or architecture work.
Deep expertise in either iOS (Swift/Objective-C/C++) or Android (Kotlin/Java, Jetpack), with confidence contributing across both platforms.
Actively uses AI tools in your engineering workflow — including building AI-leveraged workflows, curating domain knowledge bases, and codifying repeatable agent skills so tools like Claude Code or Codex deliver reliably on real production work.
Proven experience optimising app performance — memory, package size, startup time, and UI rendering — in production environments at scale.
Deep understanding of design patterns, architectural principles, and the mobile SDK layer for building scalable, high-performance components.
Working knowledge of remote APIs, concurrency, layouts, transitions, animations, client-side persistence, and mobile architectural patterns.
Strong communication skills — comfortable collaborating across global teams and delivering large-scale engineering outcomes independently.
Nice-To-Haves
Experience working in a dedicated mobile architecture or infrastructure team with deep platform specialisation.
Hands-on experience across performance optimisation, toolchain engineering, automated testing frameworks, or design pattern standardisation.
Experience working across both iOS and Android in a production infrastructure context.
Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter.
Experience in fintech, crypto, or other high-scale consumer app environments.

L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
Various team building programs and company events
Wellness and meal allowances

✨ ONE PLATFORM, A WHOLE WORLD OF OPPORTUNITY
The best jobs have always clustered in a handful of the world's wealthiest cities. But talent is everywhere. Oyster set out to close that gap - building a global employment platform that lets companies hire, pay, and care for brilliant people anywhere.
We're proof that a high-performing culture doesn't need an office. Distributed across 60+ countries since 2020, we've built something the industry keeps noticing:
- Ranked #10 of 250 on TIME and Statista's 2026 list of America's Top WorkTech Companies https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-hr-named-10-of-americas-top-worktech-companies-of-2026-by-time
- Named one of America's Greatest Startup Workplaces 2026 https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-2026-newsweek-award by Newsweek
- A G2 Spring 2026 Leader https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-named-best-roi-for-any-global-employment-platform-for-g2-spring-2026 across Employer of Record, Global Employment, Multi-country Payroll, and HR Compliance
- The only B Corp-certified global employment platform ~ independently verified since 2023
Two of those rankings measured our business impact from the outside. One measured how our own people feel about working here. They landed in the same place ~ because at Oyster, culture and performance aren't separate conversations. They're the same one.
And we're just getting started. If you want to do the best work of your career alongside people who care as much as you do, we'd love for you to apply.
Location: While this position is posted in a specific location, all of Oyster’s positions are fully remote and you can work from home. Forever. To create the best experience for our new hire, this role requires at least 3-4 hours of overlap with Central European Time (CET/CEST) business hours to support collaboration with the team.
Role Summary
Oyster is looking for a sharp, self-driven Employment Counsel to contribute to Oyster's growth and shape the future of global distributed work. As part of our Employment Law Team, you'll advise internal teams and external stakeholders on employment law matters across multiple jurisdictions, playing a direct role in how Oyster supports workers and companies around the world.
A core part of the role is researching and staying current on employment laws and regulations across jurisdictions; managing employment templates, policies, and standard employment processes; liaising with outside counsel on local legal requirements; creating clear, accessible guidance on hiring, managing, and terminating workers globally; and advising Oyster's Platform and Product teams on building a scalable, compliant technology platform. You'll also contribute to the strategic development of our employment-as-a-platform model.
Because Oyster operates as an Employer of Record (EOR), a solid understanding of how that model works, and the unique legal considerations it creates for Oyster, our customers, and their team members, is essential to this role.
The right candidate brings extensive employment law experience, including multi-jurisdictional and cross-border matters, and a track record of advising HR and business partners. Knowledge of immigration rules and employee benefits is a plus. Beyond legal expertise, we're looking for someone who translates complex issues into clear, practical guidance for non-legal audiences, balancing compliance with pragmatic problem-solving, anticipating emerging risks, and partnering strategically with the business to deliver outcomes that are both legally sound and operationally effective.
We also value candidates who embrace AI and other technology tools to enhance efficiency, streamline workflows, and scale the impact of their legal expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain employment templates, policies, and processes across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring Oyster's employment offering remains compliant, scalable, and operationally effective.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments globally, assess their impact on Oyster's products and operations, and drive implementation of required changes.
- Partner closely with Product, People team and other cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement compliant employment solutions that balance legal requirements with business objectives.
- Advise on a broad range of employment law and compliance matters across the employee lifecycle, including hiring, compensation, leave, performance management, terminations.
- Support strategic initiatives such as Direct Expansion, indirect-to-direct migrations, and the launch of new employment products and features.
- Research complex employment law issues and translate legal analysis into clear, practical, and business-focused recommendations.
- Develop and maintain employment guides, knowledge resources, and compliance documentation to support scalable operations across Oyster's global footprint.
- Support labor inspections, audits, regulatory inquiries, and other employment compliance initiatives.
- Use data, stakeholder feedback, and operational insights to identify risks, improve processes, and enhance the effectiveness of Oyster's employment compliance framework.
- Identify and champion opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and process innovation to improve team efficiency, reduce manual work, and enable the scalable delivery of employment compliance and legal support.
- Contribute to a highly collaborative, remote-first team culture and help drive continuous improvement across Employment Products.
Core Requirements
- Law Degree (e.g. JD or equivalent) and admission to practice law in one or more jurisdictions.
- 4+ years of experience practicing employment law, preferably with a combination of law firm and in-house practice.
- Deep expertise in employment law, including hands-on experience with standard employment processes: drafting and reviewing contracts, managing templates and policies, advising across a wide range of employment matters and interpreting local labor regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Understanding of the EOR model and ability to anticipate and navigate its unique legal challenges; prior experience working with or within an EOR is preferred.
- Experience managing multi-jurisdictional and/or cross-border employment matters, with the ability to work across diverse legal systems and regulatory environments.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to distill complex legal concepts into clear, practical, and actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders; creativity and pragmatism in risk mitigation are essential.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and research skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
- A technology-forward mindset, including curiosity and comfort with leveraging AI and automation tools to work more efficiently and continuously improve legal processes.
- A positive attitude and willingness to assist others, no matter how small the task.
You'll also need
- A reliable home internet connection.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
