From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the role
We're hiring a Product Manager to lead the dbt v2 roadmap — the future of dbt Labs' intellectual property and a critical driver of product-led growth. You will own net-new functionality in Fusion that identifies and monetizes local deployments of dbt, shipping net new features, many of which also land in dbt Core, as well as proprietary ELv2 plugins that integrate seamlessly with the dbt platform.
This role is co-located with our dbt v2 engineering team in the US to accelerate execution, strengthen prioritization, and ensure tight alignment across product, engineering, and platform teams. You'll bridge open source product strategy with technical delivery and business impact, translating strategic investments into shipped features that drive the Fusion PLG motion.
In this role, you will
Own and deliver the dbt v2 roadmap, shipping net new functionality to dbt v2 like SQL comprehension, compute, governance, and SAO
Define requirements for Fusion features that integrate seamlessly with the dbt platform and unlock enterprise value
Keep the Fusion engineering team aligned, unblocked, and executing on a predictable cadence
Contribute hands-on to the dbt Core / Fusion codebases, including code reviews, documentation, and small feature implementations
Collaborate with OSS strategy leads, platform PM peers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver a unified roadmap
What success looks like
Shipping net-new features on a predictable quarterly cadence
Measurable contribution to Fusion PLG growth metrics, including identification and monetization of local dbt deployments
Hands-on contributions to dbt Core and Fusion code bases, including merged PRs and meaningful improvements to the open source codebase
Strong execution and alignment across the Fusion engineering team
You're a good fit if you have
5+ years of product management experience in technical domains such as developer tooling, data platforms, or open source software
Strong grasp of system architectures, particularly for local deployments and how they scale to enterprise use cases
Understanding of how open source investments drive PLG growth and product strategy
Ability to bridge technical delivery with business impact, translating features into revenue and growth metrics
Experience working with engineering teams to define, prioritize, and ship complex technical features
Strong communication skills with empathy for open source contributors and enterprise users alike
Nice to have
Hands-on experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
Background in plugin architectures, extensibility systems, or platform ecosystems
Understanding of PLG motions and freemium-to-paid conversion strategies
Experience with SQL engines, query optimization, or compute systems
Prior experience as an engineer whose worked with modern development frameworks (examples: React, Typescript, Python, etc.)

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.

- Analyze financial statements, bank data, bureau information, and other risk signals to assess business health and repayment ability.
- Recommend the appropriate outcome, including approval, decline, a lower limit, or a request for additional information.
- Communicate clearly with customers when additional information or context is needed.
- Manage an underwriting queue while meeting quality and SLA expectations.
- Partner with teams across Risk, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Support to improve policies, tools, and workflows.
- Identify emerging risks and use AI and automation to improve decision quality and efficiency.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 4+ years of experience in underwriting, credit risk management, commercial lending, credit operations, or a related risk role.
- Experience in corporate cards, payments, fintech, banking, or related financial services.
- Strong financial analysis skills and experience reviewing financial statements, bank data, and transaction activity.
- Sound judgment and the ability to make defensible decisions with incomplete or conflicting information.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience operating independently and building or improving underwriting processes in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience underwriting European businesses or working with EU-based financial services customers.
- Experience using AI or automation to improve workflows.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience at a high-growth startup or on a scaling operations team.
WORK SCHEDULE
This role will follow a schedule aligned with European customer needs, extending Ramp’s underwriting coverage beyond standard US business hours.

Documentation at dbt is both a community asset and a foundational product surface. The Documentation team accelerates product adoption and user success by helping data practitioners learn, explore, and confidently use dbt.
We operate using a docs-as-code and docs-as-a-product approach within an open-source model, partnering closely with Engineering, Product, Developer Experience, and customer-facing teams. By balancing deep product knowledge with a beginner’s lens, we not only create accurate, easy-to-read documentation for humans and bots alike, but also surface insights that drive product improvements.
In this role, you’ll help new users reach their “a-ha” moment faster, support experienced practitioners as they expand into new areas of the ecosystem, and uphold the clarity, accuracy, and trust that our community depends on.
If you are looking for an exciting opportunity at a collaborative, dynamic and fast-growing company, this role could be for you!

At Render, we’re building the modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications. Our mission is to eliminate the tradeoff between the power of hyperscalers and the simplicity of developer-friendly platforms—so teams can ship fast, scale reliably, and focus on their product, not infrastructure.
Unlike complex hyperscalers or ephemeral edge/serverless solutions, Render offers a developer-first experience with persistent compute, dynamic autoscaling, built-in orchestration, and observability, allowing teams to launch, scale, and manage real-world applications without writing infrastructure code or managing servers. Whether you're building LLM-powered applications, scalable SaaS products, or async processing pipelines, Render empowers teams to move fast and scale confidently from MVP to millions of users.
Our platform is trusted by over 7 million developers worldwide and continues to grow rapidly. In February 2026, we raised an additional $100M in Series C financing, bringing our total funding to $260M, to accelerate our vision of making cloud infrastructure both powerful and intuitive—designed for the speed of modern AI development.
We’re a diverse and talented team that values craft, velocity, and user experience. If you’re excited to help shape the future of the intelligent cloud and empower developers everywhere, we’d love to hear from you.
APPLYING TO RENDER
We're seeking candidates who possess high integrity, humility, and an insatiable drive to learn. Through reasoned discussions and continuous feedback, we strive to improve both individually and collectively. We foster an environment of mutual trust and respect, empowering effective debate to achieve the best outcomes for our customers and team.
We especially encourage members of underrepresented groups in the tech community to apply and understand that not all successful candidates will meet each requirement listed.
Our interview process is unique to each role, and we value the candidate experience just as much as our customer experience. We hope your conversations with us reflect a thoughtful process that is illuminative, enjoyable, and respectful of your time.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Render's mission is to eliminate the undifferentiated work that goes into building software products by offering an easy-to-use, powerful cloud platform for developer teams of all sizes.
We are scaling rapidly. Our customers have created millions of services on our platform, and the numbers continue to accelerate. Our customers trust us to deliver a secure, reliable and performant cloud — this is our top priority as a company.
By joining us at an early stage, you will design and build the cloud platform you've always wanted for yourself, and make decisions that will shape our product and company, directly impacting developers around the globe.
Render builds and orchestrates a growing number of kubernetes clusters on different hyperscalers and recently, our own hardware. We leverage open source and industry-standard technologies, modifying and extending the core components to meet the unique reliability, performance, and scaling demands of our platform.
We are looking for engineers with deep specialization in cloud and compute infrastructure. We are particularly interested in experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration, micro VMs, controllers, operators, and the automation and self-healing of large scale distributed systems.
Areas of focus for the team this year will unlocking bottlenecks to scale our clusters while also automating the multi-step creation, configuration, testing, and tuning of Render clusters. We will expand Render to new regions, our own bare metal, and start orchestrating micro VMs outside of Kubernetes entirely.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own Render's core compute infrastructure across multiple cloud providers, regions, and data centers. You'll shape how we evolve our compute platform as we rapidly scale.
- Design and build capabilities that give users greater performance and flexibility in how their services are built, deployed, perform, and stay available even when underlying resources go down.
- Investigate challenging cloud and compute issues across the stack, from the kernel and data plane to our kubernetes cluster, control plane, and other orchestration mechanisms.
- Improve the performance and reliability of our infrastructure through systematic profiling, experimentation, and tuning.
- Partner with engineers across the company to build a platform that is stable, predictable, and secure.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re hiring a strategic, data‑driven leader to shape the future of scaled customer success at Ramp. This role will design, operationalize, and lead programs that activate, retain, and grow 50% of Ramp’s micro‑SMB customers who don’t receive white‑glove 1:1 support, blending strategy, systems, and people leadership to drive impact at scale.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own and evolve Ramp’s self‑service onboarding and activation strategy in partnership with Scaled CS leadership, Product, and Growth.
- Use data to diagnose activation bottlenecks, build dashboards, run metric reviews, and drive data‑backed recommendations.
- Partner with Product to improve activation features and automation that enhance self‑onboarding.
- Lead customer education programs at scale: group onboarding trainings, video content, chatbot optimization, and lifecycle communications.
- Continuously improve systems and team efficiency through automation, content, and applied AI initiatives.
- Design, launch, and iterate scaled CS programs that improve outcomes across thousands of customers.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of 6–8 Scaled Customer Success Managers, each handling ~300 monthly new customers.
- Drive team performance across activation, expansion, and CSAT targets while fostering ownership and excellence.
- Hire, train, and enable team members on Ramp’s product, customer journey, and playbooks.
- Partner cross‑functionally with CS, Sales, Product, Growth, and Data to align scaled strategy with company goals.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 4+ years in consulting, CS operations, revenue or business operations, or strategy within high‑growth B2B SaaS
- 2+ years of people management experience leading high‑performing CS or operations teams
- Proven success building or optimizing scalable programs and processes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into dashboards, operational insights, and measurable outcomes
- Skilled at cross‑functional leadership and influencing senior stakeholders across Product, Growth, Data, Sales, and CS
NICE TO HAVES
- Customer‑facing or quota‑carrying experience with a track record of exceeding goals
- Experience building education content, webinars, or scaled training programs
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
In the first 6 months, this leader will have launched and iterated scaled activation programs that measurably increase self‑serve activation and early retention, established a recurring metrics review with dashboards that surface funnel bottlenecks, and lifted team efficiency and CSAT through process, automation, and content improvements while developing a high‑performing team of 6–8 sCSMs.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Ramp's Dev API team builds the programmatic surfaces that let developers and AI agents read from and write to Ramp. We are an AI-focused platform team making it trivially easy for any engineer at Ramp (or outside it) to ship new capabilities across all surfaces. Our ideal candidate thinks agent-first, has strong opinions on developer experience, and wants to define how software interacts with financial infrastructure at scale.
Check out our Engineering Blog https://engineering.ramp.com/ for more on our tech stack, mission, and values!
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and operate Ramp's multi-surface platform with a high bar for reliability, correctness, and developer experience across tens of thousands of businesses.
- Serve thousands of builders and partners using our API, driving a large fraction of Ramp’s revenue, and deliver on a massive business opportunity to embed Ramp everywhere.
- Build software factories -- autonomous tooling and agents that accelerate endpoint creation, enabling teams across Ramp to ship their own API surfaces.
- Lead design and execution of complex backend projects end-to-end (architecture, implementation, rollout, monitoring) in Python, Temporal, and Postgres.
- Own user experience and platform robustness end-to-end -- harden and evolve the API with an emphasis on quality, reliability, and sustainability.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience
- Experience building APIs or developer-facing platforms
- Strong instinct for developer experience -- you've felt the pain of bad docs, bad error messages, and bad onboarding
- Strong ownership over delivering technical and business outcomes in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated hands-on, daily use of AI coding agents as the primary development driver.
- Comfort with agentic workflows, orchestration layers, and AI tooling broadly

HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
⭐️ THE ROLE: PRODUCT LEAD, GROWTH ⭐️
We are looking for a proven product leader to lead the next phase of Alan’s growth.
Our self-serve business now brings in €1M of incremental ARR every week. We got there with a funnel that was ahead of the market for years, built for health insurance, one country and one way of buying.
That playbook will not get us to the next 10x. Alan is moving to many products, many countries and new segments, and prospects are starting to buy through AI assistants. We need someone who has scaled growth before to write the next playbook and lead the product team that delivers it.
About the Growth area
The Growth area owns Alan’s self-serve business: every member and company that signs up without a sales account executive.
- It covers individuals (freelancers, retirees, etc) and small companies.
- It covers everything that happens before someone becomes a member: how prospects find Alan, how they decide we are right for them, and how they start.
- On the go-to-market side, segment leaders own offer, pricing and channels for their segments, and marketing teams run paid, SEO / GEO, partnerships, brand and more.
- On the product side, product crews build. Conversion owns the flows and referral surfaces that turn prospects into members. Growth Infrastructure owns the website, marketing measurement and marketing ops.
As Product Lead for Growth, you will lead the product side of the area and partner with our business and marketing leaders to accelerate growth.
A subset of hard questions to answer:
- One funnel to many: how do we make launching a new funnel for a new product, country or partner as easy as writing a prompt? How do we empower business owners to iterate on the conversion flows?
- Experience before signing: how does a prospect get to try Mo, the Clinic and the Shop before signing, without slowing down their decision?
- The comparison moment: how do we become the place people compare insurance on fit and value, when comparison sites rank only on price?
- Buying through AI: when the journey starts in ChatGPT, how do we become the answer it cites, and the product people can buy right there?
- Channel leverage: how do we use technology to make each acquisition channel faster, cheaper and smarter, and how do we decide spend on incrementality?
- Cross-sell at acquisition: how do we sell more than one product from the first signature?
We have strong convictions on some of these and open questions on others. We expect you to bring your own view and to change ours.
What you will do:
- Set the vision. You will own the multi-year growth product vision, turn it into a small number of big bets, and align the roadmaps behind them. You will also decide what we stop doing, so that we both invest in incremental optimization and big bets.
- Build an experimentation engine that compounds. We have a baseline of A/B testing and a shared bar for what counts as a win. You will take it to the level covering velocity, rigor, incrementality and learning loops.
- Make Growth AI-native. You will lead conversational AI in our sales flows, AI-native acquisition surfaces and Alan’s presence in LLM ecosystems. You will also build the AI tooling our marketing teams need to scale their output (content, landing pages, campaigns, lead qualification) without scaling headcount at the same rate.
- Lead and grow the team. You will manage the PMs in the area and help lead Design, Engineering and Data in the area.
- Go deep yourself. At Alan, everyone is also an individual contributor, and AI makes that more true every month. We expect you to personally drive selected initiatives to kickstart or unblock them.
- Partner with business leaders. You will work with segment leaders and marketing as a peer, and you will own growth outcomes jointly with them.
⭐️ ABOUT YOU ⭐️
- You have 6+ years of experience leading product teams, with a track record of moving the numbers at scale. You have led growth for a product with significant self-serve or B2C acquisition, and you can point to the curves you bent.
- You have led growth teams. You have managed PMs directly and you have handled hiring, coaching, hard feedback and performance calls.
- You set the vision. You have a track record of setting the direction and balancing optimizations and big bets. You have brought business, marketing and engineering leaders along with you.
- You coach. People you hired and coached have grown into strong PMs and leaders, and you raise the craft bar of the people around you.
- You deep dive. You open the funnel analysis yourself, challenge an experiment read, question attribution and spot a vanity win before anyone else.
- You are data-driven. Experimentation, incrementality and attribution are your native language, and you can push a data team to a high standard.
- You have worked across a portfolio of products and countries, ideally by building shared platforms rather than one-off flows. This is a strong plus.
- You have an opinionated view of where AI is taking acquisition and buying journeys (LLM discovery, conversational selling, agentic commerce), and you have turned that kind of view into shipped product.
- You talk to prospects and members often, you enjoy it, and what you hear changes your mind.
- You care about healthcare. Alan’s mission has to matter to you, and for us this is essential.
- You are fluent in English. French is a nice-to-have.
For this opportunity, we are aiming to hire within the F or higher level range https://alan.com/en/careers/a/salary-equity.
🌍 HOW WE WORK
Location: You must be legally eligible to work from France.
Remote work: We offer remote work flexibility, but we value in-person collaboration
🎯 IMPORTANT NOTE: WE HIRE PEOPLE, NOT ROLES.
If you're excited about this opportunity but don't check every box, we'd love to hear from you. Everyone, no matter how underrepresented, should feel free to apply, as it can only bring learnings or success.
If you identify yourself as a woman: Did you know that research shows women often apply only when meeting 100% of requirements?
Remember, this is just a guide, not a checklist. We'll be thrilled to receive your application!

And beyond.
⭐️ OPERATIONS AT ALAN
The Operations Community’s core responsibilities is to deliver at scale our insurance and health services : we build our platform and operational capabilities and run our processes to guarantee delight and efficiency.
As we anchor our Insurance position, diversify our offering with health and well-being related services in 4 different countries (France, Belgium, Spain and Canada), our operations are increasingly complex and our challenges ahead have never been as exciting!
Being an Ops at Alan means joining a team of 50+ talented, committed and passionate Ops across our countries, with a lot of interactions with Engineering, Product, Care and many other teams at Alan.
We have a mix of Builder profiles, focused on (re)designing and implementing our processes and Operations Experts who deliver those on a daily basis while improving them.
We want team members to deliver excellence to our companies and members and be ready to disrupt (and not only upgrade) the way we traditionally think about insurance or healthcare services.

🌍 FOR THIS ROLE, YOU NEED TO BE BASED IN FRANCE, BELGIUM OR SPAIN 🌍
The Operations Expert works on a specific subset of services we deliver (eg. claim reimbursement, fraud, clinic to name a few) .
Their core responsibilities (+- 70/80% of the time) are to:
- Run our Insurance or Health services processes - that's why we call them Ops Runners internally 😉
- Ensure the day-to-day follow up and monitoring of our operations
- Flag risks and opportunities
In details, your missions are:
- Operating our processes: performing tasks like invoicing or claims treatment, growing and managing our network of providers, supporting internal teams (live and through documentation)
- Contributing to the definition & owning the best monitoring scheme to track volumes/efficiency/SLAs, and identify risks and areas of improvement, internally or with our service providers
- Supervising partnerships (e.g. teleconsultation, claim operators), participating in the negotiation rounds, daily communication to ensure business continuity
- Performing controls on our daily operations to make sure the correct decisions were made and to identify training needs (internally as well as externally)
- Escalating feedback, helping to prioritise and supporting initiatives to make our processes and services more delightful and efficient
Next to running and monitoring our operations, you implement continuous improvements to our processes (+-20/30% of the time). This can be in a variety of ways, e.g. working with product teams to automate certain processes, enhancing our external communication, auditing our processes, automating some process steps using automation tools, …
⭐️ OUR RUN ORGANISATION ⭐️
Our Operations Experts are organized in pools (3-7 runners) who are collectively responsible for running their scope. Examples of topics are:
Alan therapy: members can book a therapy session with psychologists. You maintain smooth relationships with our psychologists, ensure therapy demand matches the supply and contribute to several steps of their lifecycle at Alan (hiring, onboarding, invoicing, supporting booking management etc).
Claims: We provide a best-in-class claims experience, including our own optic care service. You treat claims and assist in decisions regarding our coverage. Additionally, you monitor the performance of external service providers to meet SLAs & perform quality controls. You ensure glasses get delivered on time, member satisfaction is high, our frame collection is attractive, collaboration with opticians is smooth and efficient, ….
Fraud: We run checks on claims submitted by our members, and build new ways of preventing fraud attempts. You investigate suspicious claims, prevent fraudulent payments or recover when we paid fraudulent claims.
Set up: We provide best-in-class experience to our Customers : a smooth on/offboarding of their employees and a seamless invoicing or billing. To do so, we continuously control & improve the quality of our processes : ensuring we have consistent information for invoicing, unlocking employee invite/removals in case of issue and supporting admin in case of payment issue or bankruptcy.
Note: We look for profiles able to embrace any challenge and jump in any pool ! Depending on Alan needs (and personal interests), an Operations Expert will join in a pool and can change and explore new scopes after some time. Do not hesitate to ask more concrete examples to the Operations Team Members you’ll meet during the process so they can share about their own scope.
⭐️ EXPERIENCE ⭐️
For this opportunity, we are aiming to hire within the A2-B level range https://alan.com/en/careers/a/salary-equity.
Since the scope of our Ops Runner role is extremely varied, we are open to candidates from different backgrounds : you could be a good fit for the Operations team at Alan if, for example, you:
- Operated processes and services especially for companies during the scale up stage or in industrial/logistic industries
- Worked in Support functions (Customer Support, People Operations etc)
- Had a Customer facing Commercial experience, e.g. account manager or Customer Success Communications, such as Social Media, Internal/ External Communications
- Handled event coordination
⭐️ SKILLS ⭐️
- Passionate about delivering & optimizing top notch operations: not scared to get your hands dirty to get into technical processes, making them clear and delightful for our operators and members
- A keen problem-solver and challenger with a dig deep mindset: what drives you is member and customer satisfaction !
- Analytics skills, to be able to dive into our data
- Highly organised with exceptional follow-up skills, with strong attention to details
- Strong and structured in written and verbal communication in English and Dutch
- Able to work and learn independently in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptable: you show flexibility and a strong ability to adapt to variable situations
- It’s even better if you have experience in the insurance or the healthcare industry

As a Software Engineer on Developer Velocity, you'll design and build the internal platform, tooling, and automation that lets every Render engineer move quickly and safely. You'll drive changes in our local development environments, CI/CD pipelines, test infrastructure, and the metrics we use to understand and improve how we ship. You'll work across the entire engineering org, identify where friction lives, and remove it, measurably.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Improve speed and reliability of early change feedback
- Invest in build and dependency tooling, caching, incremental builds, and monorepo ergonomics, to keep iteration tight as the codebase grows.
- Accelerate our CI/CD pipelines - cutting build, test, and deploy times while keeping the path to production safe and reversible.
- Make our test suites fast and trustworthy: parallelization, smart test selection, flaky-test detection, and better local/preview environments built on the same primitives our customers use.
- Design and build tools to support concurrent agent execution
- Make test feedback fast enough to live inside an agent's loop, where slow or flaky runs compound across every attempt.
- Get agents the right context (codebase conventions, service ownership, recent changes, environment state) so their first attempt lands closer to correct.
- Simplify and establish repeatable patterns
- Reduce toil through automation, paving over repetitive workflows and manual steps wherever they slow people down.
- Instrument the engineering org with meaningful signals (deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate, time to restore) and turn them into action.
- Build and participate in an on-call rotation as the team takes ownership of critical systems.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience building and operating developer-facing tooling, CI/CD systems, or internal platforms that other engineers depend on every day.
- Experience driving cultural and process changes to make engineering teams more effective.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and a track record of shipping, maintaining, and debugging production systems.
- Proficiency in Go (or a strong willingness to ramp quickly, it's our primary language).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (yup, Terraform).
- A bias toward measurement: you instrument what you build and let data tell you whether you actually made things faster.
- You empathize deeply with engineers, fixing developer pain points in an elegant and sustainable manner is something that resonates deeply with you.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience improving build systems, test infrastructure, or developer experience at meaningful scale - Bazel, Concourse, and GitHub workflows are old friends.
- Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Comfort working close to the metal - Linux, containers, kubernetes - you get your hands very dirty.
- Security-minded instincts, especially around supply chain and the path from commit to deploy.
- Understanding that the question isn't "AI pilled vs AI skeptic", but rather where to use it as an accelerant, and where human context must come first.
If this role excites you but you don’t meet every single requirement, we’d still love to hear from you—your unique experience might be just what we need.
BENEFITS
- 4 weeks of paid vacation.
- 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all parents to bond with a newly born, adopted, or fostered child. We will also work with you to create a supportive plan of return.
- Long-term disability, life insurance, and 401K plans.
- 100% employer-paid medical coverage and 99% employer-paid dental and vision coverage for you and a dependent. FSAs and HSAs are available as well.
- Monthly lifestyle stipend for wellness, mental health and therapy, hobbies, etc.
- Monthly cell phone and internet subsidy.
- Commuter benefits for Renders in the Bay Area, and home office stipends for remote Renders.
- Continuous learning benefits & related support.
This position is generally not eligible for new visa sponsorship. At Render's discretion, the business may sponsor existing visa transfers. Applicants who require sponsorship must receive business authorization.

Are you driven to dig deep into runtime behavior, uncover complex failures, and ensure the foundation underlying millions of developer tools stays rock-solid? Do you understand that reliability at the runtime level directly impacts how developers experience their tools every single day?
About JetBrains
We create intelligent software development tools for developers and teams. More than 15 million users, over 300,000 companies, and 88 of the Fortune Global Top 100 rely on our products to solve real, complex problems. Our mission is simple: make development teams more productive and AI adoptable at scale.
What you’ll do
JetBrains Runtime (JBR) is our fork of OpenJDK, used to launch all IntelliJ-based IDEs. When runtime issues occur, they affect every developer relying on our products. This role exists to ensure JBR remains stable, performant, and reliable across platforms.
You’ll take ownership of quality across JBR builds, working closely with the engineers building features like Java Chromium Embedded Framework (JCEF) and contributing to OpenJDK projects. You’ll influence how we triage, investigate, and resolve complex JVM issues, directly shaping the stability of the entire IntelliJ ecosystem.
Day to day, you will:
Analyze automated test results from regular builds to investigate Java runtime and test failures.
Conduct thorough investigations into user-reported issues to ensure accurate triage.
Analyze thread dumps and JVM crash logs to pinpoint deadlocks, freezes, and Event Dispatch Thread (EDT) responsiveness issues in the IDE.
Communicate with developers to build a deep understanding of runtime architecture and ongoing changes.
Collaborate with the support team to reproduce and resolve issues reported in public builds.
Take ownership of JetBrains Runtime quality by identifying what needs to be fixed, keeping the tracker organized, and prioritizing quality tasks.
What you’ll bring
A focus on quality and deep technical investigation over quick surface fixes.
Clear communication skills and comfort advocating for your perspective while remaining open to others.
An ownership mindset, taking responsibility for keeping issues organized and moving forward.
The curiosity to understand underlying systems and application architecture rather than treating tools as black boxes.
What you’ll need
A solid understanding of Java, AWT, Swing, and Java2D.
Hands-on experience analyzing thread dumps, JVM crash logs, or memory issues using standard JDK diagnostic tools.
The ability to read and understand tests using test frameworks like jtreg, JUnit, gtest, or ctest.
Experience reproducing complex technical issues and working with issue trackers like YouTrack, Jira, or GitHub.
Familiarity with macOS and Linux environments.
What success looks like
Success in this role means runtime issues are caught early, triaged effectively, and clear context is provided to developers so fixes happen swiftly. You’ll have established a clear view of JBR quality, unblocked internal teams, and improved overall IDE stability for millions of users.
Why join JetBrains?
Strong base salary. We offer competitive pay that reflects your skills and experience.
Flexible work location. Enjoy the freedom to work from home or from the office.
Remote work. Spend up to 30 days per year working remotely from abroad.
Extra time off. More days to relax, recharge, and do the things you love.
Medical insurance allowance. Enjoy peace of mind for you and your family
Learning and development opportunities. Access to conferences, courses, and language classes.
