ABOUT SENTRY
Software runs the world and the pace is faster than ever. Sentry helps developers fix errors and performance issues before users notice, so teams can spend less time firefighting and more time building.
Trusted by 200,000+ organizations, Sentry is today’s application monitoring standard and our team is building its AI-native future.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Developer Experience team is growing in San Francisco! This is a hybrid role out of our main headquarters and must be based there. We’re looking for a hands-on builder with strong opinions on great developer docs.
Are you someone who loves tinkering with the newest features in your favorite products? Do you enjoy taking the next random JavaScript framework for a spin and figuring out how to make them tick? Does it especially irk you when the code snippets are wrong, or the only docs for a feature are on X? Developer Experience at Sentry lives in the intersection of shipping really cool products and getting developers set up to use them.
If you’re someone who is confident in partnering with Product and Engineering to test and ship the latest features, not afraid to jump in and go hands-on to solve problems for our biggest customers, and a good eye for what good docs looks like - this is a dream role.
Developer Experience at Sentry is a team of builders who are constantly looking for ways to make it easier for every developer to use Sentry. We engage with the challenges facing technical communities, to support developers, gather feedback, and help our product and engineering teams ship new capabilities.
An engineer in this role should be confident to “come with an answer," propose the product solutions, identify the content and/or execution plans and people to partner with, and go execute.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Attend and even host events and meetups in the developer community
- Have a point of view and aren’t shy about expressing it. You get your energy from both knowing the latest trends and having a POV on which ones to ignore. Who’s working on something interesting, who influences the conversation, and who’s going to help drive the conversation forward - while linking all this back to the core problems that Sentry is solving
- Build content that gets people excited to build their software alongside Sentry
- Have an ear to the street. You get excited about gathering insights from users, the developer tool world, and what's currently happening in software development.
- Ride side by side with Engineering, Product, Design, Sales Engineering, Business Ops, and nearly every function in Marketing from Comms to Product Marketing to develop the best content and great product narratives.
YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF YOU
- Are someone who loves taking new features for a spin, learning how they tick, and testing them against your own projects
- Are an educator, a builder, and a human router. And you know that the best way to get people excited about your product is to show, not sell, through cool concepts, useful technical tutorials, and by bringing brilliant people together
- Are a “meh… not bad” writer who understands how to tell a useful and relevant story in 30 words as well as weave together questions to panelists for 30 minutes
- Get excited when you hear that your job is to do ⅓ of each: Educating through useful and timely content + building community through live and virtual gatherings + Being customer-to-product influence
- Listen as much as you talk. And you know how to build a community organically by lifting up and promoting others.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years as a developer and 3+ years in an advocacy or educational role such as developer relations/evangelism, creating technical content, leading a community of developers via forums or events
- You have 3+ examples of technical educational content aimed for professional developers (e.g. tutorial, video series, blog series, course)
- At least one example of your own dedicated blogs, forum or sites with a developer-focused audience and can speak to how you measured success and what promotional mechanisms you used to drive top of funnel visibility
- At least one project using a common modern development language or framework
- You have been an active member and contributor of technical communities, on any platform (e.g. Discord, Stack Overflow, Reddit, Twitter, TikTok)
- Ability to prioritize competing opportunities and balance customer needs versus business priorities
- Stellar written and verbal communication skills
- A down-to-earth attitude, a good amount of humility, and dry sense of humor are a huge plus

ABOUT DOCKER
Docker has been one of the most loved brands in developer tooling, trusted by more than 20 million monthly users and over 20 billion container image pulls. From solo founders to the world's largest companies, developers rely on Docker to build, share, and run their applications across our suite of products including Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, and Docker Scout.
We are a globally distributed, remote-first team building the tools that define how software gets built and delivered. As AI agents redefine software development, Docker is at the center of that shift, providing the sandboxed environments, verified images, and secure infrastructure that make autonomous workflows trustworthy by default.
_______________________________________________________________________
Docker’s AI Tools & Security team is building the foundation for the next generation of secure, developer-friendly AI infrastructure. Our flagship product, the MCP Gateway, empowers developers to connect, observe, and secure AI agents and tools across the entire lifecycle—from prototype to production. We’re defining how developers safely harness the power of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) in real-world environments.
We’re looking for a Principal Backend Engineer who thrives at the intersection of AI, security, and developer experience. You’ll lead the technical direction of the Gateway and related services, collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Security to deliver elegant frameworks and APIs that developers love to use. This is a high-velocity, high-ownership environment: you’ll ship fast, iterate constantly, and help shape the future of secure agent-based development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define the technical solution for a new product
- Help shape the product with peers in Product and Design
- Mentor other technical team members
- Be the technical point of contact for the team
- This role may require participation in an on-call rotation to provide support outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
- 10+ years of backend engineering experience, including extensive work on production-grade, distributed systems at scale.
- Technical leadership across multiple teams or domains, with a proven ability to drive architectural vision, set technical direction, and influence long-term product strategy.
- Exceptional product and platform mindset—you think beyond implementation details to how technology shapes developer and business outcomes.
- Expertise in designing and evolving large-scale, cloud-native systems, with deep knowledge of distributed computing, service-oriented architecture, and performance optimization.
- Demonstrated experience building secure, resilient, and high-throughput backend services, with a strong grasp of reliability engineering principles (SLOs, observability, incident response).
- Fluency in Go (preferred) or another modern systems language (Rust, Java, C++, etc.), with the ability to lead technical design reviews and mentor others in language-specific best practices.
- Strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals—CI/CD, testing strategy, source control, and deployment automation—applied in complex, multi-service environments.
- Proven track record of technical mentorship and cross-functional collaboration, enabling teams to deliver high-impact, high-quality software efficiently.
- Deep experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
- Ownership mentality with a bias for action and iterative delivery, balancing short-term impact with long-term architectural health.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable operating autonomously in distributed, remote-first teams, and leading through influence rather than authority.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
BONUS:
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture
- Prior experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar LLM APIs, and the MCP specification
WHAT TO EXPECT
FIRST 30 DAYS:
- Meet team members
- Build context about the problem space and prior art
- Provide feedback on current exploration and propose next steps in line with Product and Design
FIRST 90 DAYS:
- Work with Product and Design on defining the product
- Attend customer calls
- Meet people across the company
- Help grow the team by participating in hiring loops
ONE YEAR OUTLOOK (FIRST YEAR):
- Bring the product to market
Docker considers visa sponsorship on a case-by-case basis based on business needs.

About Clarity
We’re pioneering Agentic AI — systems that don’t just respond, but reason, act, and adapt autonomously in complex workflows. This is about crafting AI Agent Experiences — designing agents that collaborate seamlessly with humans, learn from context, and make every customer interaction faster, smarter, and more empathetic.
You’ll own the technical vision and turn requirements into a live, reliable product used by brands like Grubhub, Booking.com http://Booking.com, Dropbox, Uber, Careem, and Fubo. You’ll collaborate directly with engineers, other tech leads, directors, and the CTO to evolve ambitious prototypes into a rock‑solid, scalable platform

- Structured extraction: Schema‑driven pipelines over unstructured text (and other modalities) using retrieval, tool‑use, and robust LLM prompting.
- Hybrid anomaly detection: Blend classical time‑series methods (e.g., decomposition, change‑point, forecasting) with LLM‑aware, contextful detectors for seasonality, spikes, step‑changes, and drift.
- Novelty discovery: Embedding‑based clustering and drift, topic surfacing, LLM summarization of emerging themes with deduplication and evidence links.
- Alerting & scoring: Severity/impact ranking, de‑noising, suppression/cool‑downs, routing, and feedback loops.
25% Architect & scale
- Own reliability, latency, and cost. Design online/offline eval harnesses, canaries, and SLAs; operate GPUs/accelerators where needed.

- Take basic infra ownership on GCP (or AWS/Azure): networking, autoscaling, CI/CD, IaC, observability, and cost tuning.
- Participate in on‑call for your area and drive root‑cause analysis with crisp follow‑ups.
15% Collaborate
- Pair with back‑end & front‑end to wire extractors/detectors and agents into ticketing, voice, and analytics stacks (APIs, webhooks, real‑time streams).
- Partner with PMs/CX to evolve taxonomies, schemas, and guardrails; translate business problems into shipped ML features.
10% Align & showcase
- Gather requirements from CX and product leads, demo new capabilities to execs & customers, and document impact with precision/recall, alert quality, latency, and cost metrics.

Seer runs agents against real production problems for Sentry's customers. That means long-running jobs, lots of tool calls, messy real-world data, and a cost bill that matters. We need a Senior engineer to build the platform those agents run on, so product teams can ship new AI features without rebuilding the plumbing every time.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Build state-of-the-art agentic AI platforms to triage, debug, and solve real production issues
- Make every run debuggable: traces, cost and latency per run, and enough context to explain a bad answer
- Build eval and rollout tooling so we can swap models without guessing
- Keep it flexible enough that next quarter's model or protocol is an upgrade, not a rewrite
- Leverage Sentry’s novel (and massive) dataset of errors, spans, and profiles
- Own major AI initiatives, building alongside developers and product teams
YOU'LL LOVE THIS JOB IF YOU
- Are driven by impact and enjoy working on high-stakes, high-visibility projects
- Enjoy building things. You will have the opportunity to join the AI/ML team as one of its foundational members
- Thrive in cross-functional teams and enjoy building features alongside developers and product teams
QUALIFICATIONS
- You have 5+ years building production systems, including LLM-backed products, and can point to one people relied on
- You write solid production Python and TypeScript
- You have good distributed-systems instincts: timeouts, idempotency, failure modes
- Model training experience is a plus, not a requirement
The base salary range (or hourly wage range, if applicable) that Sentry reasonably expects to pay for this position is $155,000 to $400,000 USD. A successful candidate’s actual base salary (or hourly wage) amount will be determined by a variety of relevant factors including, without limitation, the candidate’s work location, education, work and other relevant experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. A successful candidate will be eligible to participate in Sentry’s employee benefit plans/programs applicable to the candidate’s position (including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage). See Sentry Benefits https://sentry.io/careers/ for more details about the Company’s benefit plans/programs.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AT SENTRY
Sentry is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to its employees and candidates for employment regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, veteran status, or other legally-protected characteristic. This commitment includes the provision of reasonable accommodations to employees and candidates for employment with physical or mental disabilities who require such accommodations in order to (a) perform the essential functions of their jobs, or (b) seek employment with Sentry. We strive to build a diverse team, with an inclusive culture where every teammate can thrive. Sentry is an open-source company because we believe that everyone, everywhere, should have the ability and tools to make great software. Software should be accessible. That starts with making our industry accessible.
If you need assistance or an accommodation due to a disability, you may contact us at accommodations@sentry.io.

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Over the past few years at Ramp, we've reimagined how businesses manage spend, and the backbone of that vision is Procure-to-Pay. The P2P team builds the systems that connect vendors, invoices, and payments into one seamless, automated flow. It's where billions of dollars move through our platform, and every line of code matters.
We're looking for a backend engineer who loves complex systems, obsesses over correctness, and wants to shape how money moves in modern finance software. You'll help design and scale the infrastructure that powers our payment rails, ensures auditability across products, and unlocks the next wave of AI-driven automation.
It's a chance to work on systems that actually move money, with a team that cares deeply about precision, reliability, and scale. The problems are tough, the stakes are high, and the impact is massive.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design and build core P2P systems, from invoice ingestion and approval workflows to payment orchestration and reconciliation logic.
- Enable AI agents to classify, validate, and process invoices automatically, reducing manual review and accelerating financial close.
- Own backend services that process large volumes of financial events across Bill Pay, Procurement, and Treasury.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Finance, and Data to translate accounting and compliance policies into robust, testable code.
- Extend Ramp’s financial ledger to handle new transaction types, international payments, and automated audit trails.
- Drive technical excellence around reliability, observability, and data integrity in systems where correctness directly impacts financial reporting.
- Continuously improve developer tooling and internal APIs that make P2P data accessible across Ramp’s product ecosystem.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 3+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally in fintech, payments, or transactional systems.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining data-intensive distributed systems with strong consistency and auditability requirements.
- Deep knowledge of Python (or a comparable backend language) and SQL.
- Comfort building event-driven systems and scaling high-volume, low-latency architectures.
- Strong system design and debugging skills; you care about correctness as much as speed.
- Ability to work closely with finance, risk, and product stakeholders to translate business rules into software logic.
- Passion for building systems that are precise, reliable, and extensible as Ramp scales globally.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with accounts payable, payments, or reconciliation systems.
- Familiarity with accounting or ERP integrations (e.g. NetSuite, QuickBooks, Oracle).
- Background in compliance-heavy or regulated domains.
- Exposure to AI-driven automation or interest in working with AI/ML teams to build intelligent finance workflows.
- Desire to move quickly while maintaining an uncompromising standard for data accuracy and auditability.
BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO ALL FULL-TIME RAMP EMPLOYEES (GLOBAL)
- Flexible PTO
- Centralized home-office equipment ordering
- Health and wellness stipend
- Budget for intra-office travel
- Weekly coffee stipend
