How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. - Past roles that interface with end customers to influence software development.
OUR VALUES

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
GTM Systems builds and runs the platform that Sales and contracting operate on. These are production systems that process real transactions and produce the data the rest of the company depends on, and the team has grown into a scope where the engineering practices need to grow with it. The platform-developer model got us here. The next stage is a team that operates as software engineers on top of it.
We are hiring a technical lead to build that next stage. You will design and stand up the engineering motions the team runs on, from pull requests and CI/CD through automated UAT, and you will set the technical bar by working alongside the team rather than legislating from the side. Anthropic is also an unusual place to do this work: our own frontier models are part of your toolkit, the team already uses them daily, and a real part of this role is turning that individual usage into a coordinated engineering practice.
Key responsibilities
Lead architecture reviews for GTM systems that process lead-to-cash transactions and generate the data points the organization runs on, including changes originating in other teams that land on our platform
Architect and mature the engineering pipeline the team develops against: pull request workflow, CI/CD, automated UAT, and the deploy path from source control to production
Establish shared AI-assisted development standards for the team, converting existing individual usage into consistent practice that holds up under review
Work with engineering teams outside GTM on shared architectural problems and common tooling, where the right answer is a platform decision rather than a local one
Build and shape the agentic tooling running on top of our platform, and set the pattern other engineers follow when they build the next one
Trace the dependency chain from upstream data and downstream quoting and provisioning systems, and make sure design decisions account for what they break
Partner with the platform developers on the team as engineering practice deepens, expanding what the team can safely ship
Minimum qualifications
Have strong software engineering fundamentals: version control discipline, testing, code review, deployment automation, and a bias toward simple designs
Have built the delivery pipeline for a team, not just worked within one, and can describe the sequencing choices you made
Have led a team through a step change in engineering practice as its scope grew, including what you did when adoption slowed
Work fluently with AI coding tools and agentic development workflows, and have views on how a team should standardize around them
Can run a technical discussion across teams that do not report to you and leave it with a decision rather than a follow-up meeting
Reason about systems you do not own well enough to predict how your changes affect them
Prefer influence through demonstrated work over positional authority
Preferred qualifications
Have worked on business-critical enterprise platforms where financial correctness and auditability mattered
Have experience with Salesforce or comparable enterprise platforms, including their metadata and deployment models
Have built tooling or agents on top of an enterprise system of record
Have operated in a company under audit or compliance constraints
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.

As we scale our physical product business and global footprint, data-driven operations are critical to delivering a seamless, high-quality member experience. You will be empowered to shape our data infrastructure, define performance metrics, and drive change across a global ecosystem of vendors and partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate and drive the strategic analytic roadmap to identify exceptions and inefficiencies across the order lifecycle — shipping delays, cost drivers, inventory inaccuracies, and service-level gaps — and translate them into actionable insights.
- Own operational metrics, ensuring clarity, alignment, and regular review across stakeholders; bridge operations and finance on forecasting, spend tracking, and variance analysis to ensure operational data and financial reporting tell the same story.
- Lead analytics for quarterly cost reduction initiatives, including fulfillment COGS, freight costs, and cost per contact. Partner with Finance on total cost reporting and gross margin analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of experience in analytics, operations, supply chain, fulfillment, or logistics in a consumer business (eCommerce, hardware, CPG, or retail preferred).
- Experience managing or mentoring analysts. You should enjoy coaching and have a perspective on how to grow early-career analysts into workstream owners.
- Strong business judgment and ability to connect operational data to cost, experience, and strategic priorities.
- Proven ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels and context-switch between them without dropping quality.
- Comfort representing analytics in cross-functional settings and demonstrated success in influencing senior stakeholders on strategic direction based on data-driven insights.
- Proficiency in SQL; experience with dbt, Snowflake, or similar ELT/data warehouse platforms.

adjoe builds the technologies behind mobile apps growth and monetization. With our core product Playtime Arcade, we've become the global leader in rewarded advertising, an ad unit built on a simple premise: users earn real in-app rewards for engaging with new apps. The result is one of the most effective value exchanges in adtech, connecting advertisers and publishers with over 770 million users annually.
Processing 2+ million daily interactions between adjoe's reward engine and its global publisher network
The Supply Integrations team builds and operates the services that ensure every user reward is calculated, verified, and delivered, whether that means firing a cryptographically signed HTTP callback in milliseconds or transferring loyalty points through a partner's OAuth-secured payment API. Every callback that lands on time is a reward delivered, a publisher retained, and revenue protected.
The team's production surface spans a set of services connecting adjoe to a global publisher network. S2S Payout Callbacks deliver real-time reward notifications with 40+ configurable parameters, secured by per-publisher cryptographic signatures. The Payout Adapter integrates directly with enterprise partner payment systems, handling OAuth2 flows, mTLS, HMAC signatures, and retry logic to guarantee delivery. Our External Statistics API aggregates data from Druid, Athena, and DynamoDB into self-serve publisher dashboards and daily reports. All of this is backed by Go microservices communicating over Kafka and SQS, with state managed in DynamoDB and MySQL, processing over 2 million interactions every day without missing a beat.
YOUR MISSION & WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Production Golang Systems Expertise: You bring 5+ years of backend development experience, including at least 3 years writing Go in production distributed environments. You will build and maintain our +99% Go microservice architecture—interfacing with our TypeScript/React frontend—to reliably handle 2+ million daily publisher interactions and scale beyond hundreds of millions of monthly active users.
- High-Throughput Event Streaming: You have hands-on experience designing asynchronous microservice communication using event buses like Kafka, SQS/SNS, and Kinesis. You will build pipelines to collect billions of daily API events and aggregate them into our data lake for sub-second querying.
- High-Scale Data & API Optimization: You understand database internals and low-level web standards (HTTP protocol, Encoding, Regular Expressions). You will optimize queries across hundreds of terabytes of data across DynamoDB, MySQL, Druid, and Athena to reduce API response times and expose transparent, well-documented open APIs to enterprise partners.
- Data Science & Algorithmic Integration: You quickly grasp complex technical topics and applied mathematics. You will partner directly with our Data Science team to translate and integrate machine learning algorithms into adjoe’s core application, optimizing real-time ad targeting.
- Collaborative Technical Communication: You communicate fluently and precisely in spoken and written English. You will actively participate in peer code reviews and technical knowledge sharing across an international backend engineering team.
- Plus: Infrastructure & Cloud Tooling: Hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code), Docker containerization, or serverless infrastructure.
🌎 We welcome applications from talent worldwide and provide relocation support to Hamburg, Germany for those ready to join our team.
At adjoe, you’re not here to just close JIRA tickets, you’re helping build the infrastructure behind one of the most impactful platforms in adtech. The systems you work on will reach hundreds of millions of users and power billions of decisions every day.
- Go Big. Own projects with impact on 770M users and push adtech boundaries.
- Move Fast. Ship solutions multiple times a day, learn from results, and keep momentum.
- Be Direct. Solve problems openly and collaborate across teams.
- Thrive Together. Grow with a diverse, global team of people from over 40 different countries that learn from each other.
- Have Fun. Celebrate wins, enjoy daily victories, and bring your energy.
We welcome applications from people who will contribute to the diversity of our company.
