MEET THE TEAM 👥
Here at Cleo, we have ~200 Engineers organised into Pillars. ✨ Our stack spans a Ruby on Rails monolith, a single React Native (TypeScript) app frontend, Python for machine learning services, and PostgreSQL, all hosted on AWS and shipped through Kubernetes - backend goes out multiple times a week, app releases to Google and Apple at least weekly. To thrive here, our engineers proactively use our Engineering Principles to guide daily decisions, take ownership of problems beyond their own squad to drive broader impact, and actively drive their own learning, development, and growth.
ABOUT THE ROLE ✍️
We’re hiring a Technical Lead Manager to lead a cross-functional product squad, combining hands-on technical leadership with people management. You’ll lead a team of 4–5 engineers, working closely with Product, Design, Data and other technical leaders to build products that improve our users’ financial health.
- Lead and develop a squad of 4–5 engineers, balancing hands-on technical contribution with line management, coaching and support for individual growth.
- Partner with Product Managers, Staff Engineers and other technical leaders to shape a clear, feasible roadmap and deliver against squad OKRs.
- Define and steer the technical direction of your squad, helping the team make pragmatic trade-offs across speed, quality, scalability and long-term maintainability.
- Create the conditions for effective delivery by providing clarity, unblocking progress and establishing healthy, sustainable ways of working.
- Run regular 1:1s, provide clear and actionable feedback, and support engineers through development, performance conversations and growth planning.
- Stay close to the code and contribute hands-on to our Ruby on Rails monolith, using practices such as automated testing, observability, A/B testing and feature flags.
- Collaborate across Engineering, Product, Design and Data to deliver and iterate on features that have a meaningful impact on our users’ financial health.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 🕵️
- Solid experience with Ruby on Rails, building data models, APIs, and business logic services in a production monolith
- Experience leading technical delivery within a product squad or engineering team, helping shape and scope work through to delivery
- Experience line managing and coaching engineers, including giving feedback, supporting development and navigating performance conversations
- Strong technical judgement, with the ability to balance delivery speed, technical quality, scalability and longer-term investment
- Comfortable delivering with agile methodologies and practices like automated testing, observability, A/B testing, and feature flags
- A collaborative approach — you work well with Product, Design, Analytics and Engineering partners, and enjoy shaping work beyond just the technical bits
- A track record of helping teams build healthy habits, improve ways of working and deliver meaningful outcomes
- Alignment with our company values https://web.meetcleo.com/life-at-cleo and engineering principles https://web.meetcleo.com/blog/cleo-engineering-principles

We offer benefits package built to support you in and out of work. Benefits vary by country 🌍 and include meaningful equity, comprehensive health insurance, mental health support, a paid one-month sabbatical after four years, a learning & development platform, pension or retirement contributions, and location-specific leave entitlements.

WHAT MATTERS
Cleo's mission is to change the world's relationship with money. We can't do that without building a brilliant, genuinely diverse team - and making sure our hiring process gives everyone a fair shot, running a fair and transparent recruitment process in which every candidate is considered on their merits.
We're glad to make reasonable adjustments at any stage of the process. If there's anything we can do to support you in showing us your best, please let your recruiter or one of the team know.

About Nebius:
Nebius is leading a new era in cloud infrastructure for the global AI economy. We are building a full-stack AI cloud platform that supports developers and enterprises from data and model training through to production deployment, without the cost and complexity of building large in-house AI/ML infrastructure.
Built by engineers, for engineers. From large-scale GPU orchestration to inference optimization, we own the hard problems across compute, storage, networking and applied AI.
Listed on Nasdaq (NBIS) and headquartered in Amsterdam, we have a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, the UK, North America and Israel. Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.
About Nebius Academy and Nebius Science
Nebius Academy is Nebius’s education and research initiative. It offers advanced programs in machine learning and generative AI, supports academic research through cloud grants, and works with universities and research institutions around the world.
Nebius Science is the research media lab within Nebius Academy. We cover AI research, AI-driven science, and the people and ideas shaping both fields.
Since launching in 2026, Nebius Science has highlighted the work of our researchers, covered major AI conferences and emerging research trends, and developed joint editorial projects with recipients of Nebius research grants.
Our work spans original features, technical explainers, weekly Paper Picks, research webinars, the Nebius Science Paper Club, and interviews with leading researchers.
Our goal is to make serious research accessible without flattening its complexity, and to create a meeting point for researchers, engineers, and the wider scientific community.
The role
Nebius Science is looking for an
AI Science Writer
based in the EU. This is an ongoing
contract role
with a fixed monthly retainer and opportunities for growth, including the potential to transition to a full-time position at Nebius.
You may be an AI/ML researcher or engineer who moved into journalism, a computer science graduate with substantial editorial experience, or a technical writer who has worked directly with research teams. Whatever your path, you should be able to read a technical paper, understand the underlying method, assess its limitations, and turn it into a clear and compelling story.
A central part of the role will be producing weekly reviews of new AI models, architectures, and in-house research. You should be able to identify what is genuinely new and explain how it works creatively across a range of formats.
These reviews can be visual as well as written. You will be expected to develop clear, engaging infographics, diagrams, charts, and other multimedia elements, creating them yourself by using AI tools where appropriate or working with designers and multimedia producers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Produce scientific and technical reviews of new AI models, architectures, papers, in-house research and trends.
Turn model architectures and complex technical ideas into clear visual narratives by developing infographics, diagrams, charts, and other multimedia components for your stories.
Interview researchers, engineers, founders, and scientific leaders.
Cover major research conferences, emerging fields, and important debates across the AI ecosystem.
Write and edit across formats, including analytical reports, features, interviews, explainers, newsletters, webinar scripts, and social content.
Host or moderate research webinars, interviews, and other on-camera formats.
Work with researchers to verify technical claims while preserving a clear editorial voice.
Collaborate with designers and multimedia producers on more complex visual stories.
Experiment with models, agents, coding, and automation to improve research, editorial, and visual-production workflows.
We expect you to have:
Have professional or academic experience in AI/ML research, machine learning engineering, or a closely related technical field.
Have a degree in computer science, machine learning, mathematics, physics, engineering, computational science, or another relevant technical discipline.
Be comfortable reading papers, inspecting model architectures, comparing results, and discussing technical details directly with researchers.
Have strong visual instincts and be able to explain technical mechanisms through diagrams, infographics, charts, or other multimedia formats.
Write with precision and flair, using LLMs to support your work, not to do the writing for you.
Benefits & Perks:
Competitive compensation
Career growth and learning opportunities
Flexibility and ownership
Collaborative and innovative culture
Opportunity to work on impactful AI projects
International environment and talented teams
What's it like to work at Nebius:
Fast moving - Bold thinking - Constant growth - Meaningful impact - Trust and real ownership - Opportunity to shape the future of AI

About Finom
Finom is a European tech startup headquartered in Amsterdam, and we’re on a journey towards revolutionizing the financial landscape for entrepreneurs worldwide. Our mission is to develop an all-in-one financial B2B solution that integrates banking functions, accounting, financial management, and invoicing into a seamless, mobile-first platform.
We recently closed a €115 million Series C equity round (around $133 million), bringing our total funding to approximately $346 million. This significant investment follows a $105 million growth funding round from General Catalyst, a long-term backer since 2021 known for supporting companies like Airbnb, HubSpot, KAYAK, and Stripe.
Finom's platform goes beyond traditional banking, offering invoicing and a growing suite of features, including AI-enabled accounting, aiming to simplify financial management for entrepreneurs. We're actively expanding our reach across key EU markets like Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain.
At Finom, we’re not just redefining the entrepreneurial experience — we’re empowering our employees to make a real difference. Your work matters, and your impact extends far beyond product metrics. We nurture innovation and an inspiring work environment where bold ideas thrive, prioritizing thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and our business as a whole.
Maintaining our start-up spirit, we prioritize thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and, of course, our business.
We are looking for a Senior Treasury Manager to build and run Finom's treasury function.
Finom safeguards a significant book of customer funds across its regulated entities. Net interest income on that book is a meaningful revenue line, and it will grow. Today the function is up and running: the money is placed, the investment policy is in place, and a large part of the book sits with an external asset manager. What we are building now is the machinery around it — an evidenced limit framework, look-through into what our managers actually hold, automated investment accounting, and a reconciled NII number we can defend to an auditor and a regulator.
That is the job. You will take part in building it, and you will run it while it is being built.
This is a hands-on role at the intersection of regulation, liquidity, and commercial impact — not a back-office position. It suits someone who has done this before in a regulated environment and wants to do it again without four layers of committee above them.
What you'll own
Liquidity and funding
Daily liquidity positioning and float management across entities and accounts
Intraday funding of payment channels; nostro and correspondent account management
Collateral and minimum-balance obligations across card schemes, T2, and credit providers
Contingency funding — the playbook for the day we need €20m by tomorrow morning
A daily treasury balance sheet — net liquidity and net capital available — that reconciles
Safeguarding and portfolio
Portfolio management of safeguarded client funds: term deposits, MMFs, short-dated debt, held directly and via external managers
Safeguarding adequacy: shortfall detection, top-up execution, same-currency discipline
Instrument eligibility screening under CRR risk-weight, maturity and WAL constraints, and UCITS/MMF rules
Independent, evidenced validation that externally managed allocations sit inside mandate — position-level look-through, daily monitoring of concentration, maturity, WAL and credit quality, breach escalation
NII forecasting, attribution, and reconciled performance reporting; treasury inputs into the financial model and company forecast
Governance and controls
Ownership of the investment policy, limit framework, and eligible-instrument register
Treasury governance: decision pack, agenda, decision log, and delegated-authority register
Pre-deal checks and post-trade evidencing, designed so that the first line executes and the second line challenges
Covenant tracking across credit facilities
Regulator, external audit, and second-line engagement on treasury and safeguarding matters
Systems and data
Selection and implementation of investment accounting and treasury tooling — a Clearwater/Advent-class implementation is already in flight and will be yours
Custodian, asset-manager and bank data feeds; API connectivity where it exists and pragmatic alternatives where it doesn't
Replacing manual spreadsheet processes with something that survives your holiday
Commercial
Bank, custodian, broker and asset-manager relationships: onboarding, commercial terms, mandate setting, service review
Challenging our managers on allocation, transparency and fees — and changing them if the answers are weak
What good looks like in the first 12 months
Investment policy and limit framework live, with treasury governance running on a documented decision log
Daily, evidenced mandate compliance across the full book — we can answer "are we inside the boundaries?" in minutes, not weeks
Investment accounting platform implemented; monthly close on the portfolio no longer manual
An NII number that is reconciled, attributed, and forecastable
A contingency liquidity playbook that has been tested rather than written
Who you are
5+ years in treasury, ALM, fixed income, or portfolio management at a regulated financial institution, EMI/PI, or asset manager
Direct experience with client money or safeguarding under PSD2 / EMD — core to this role, not adjacent to it
Experience building or materially rebuilding a treasury function, not only operating inside an established one
Strong command of bond math, yield and duration, MMF mechanics, and credit and concentration risk at instrument level
Track record of automating manual treasury processes and implementing treasury or investment accounting systems
Comfortable working with position-level data directly — you can interrogate a portfolio file rather than wait for a report
Experience with regulators, external audit, and external asset managers (mandate setting, IMA terms, performance challenge)
Sound judgement under time pressure in a lean environment with real accountability and limited cover
Strong Excel skills
Fluent English
Nice to have
Familiarity with IFRS 9 or Dutch GAAP (RJ 290) financial instrument accounting
SQL or Python
Experience in a firm transitioning toward a banking licence
Experience using AI tools (e.g. LLMs, copilots) to accelerate analytical and reporting workflows

Security incidents across either domain may require availability and response outside standard working hours

Infrastructure Engineer (DevOps)
About the company
Hi, we're Ondo Finance. Our mission is to provide institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products and services. We have both a technology arm that develops decentralized finance technology, and an asset management arm that creates and manages tokenized funds. We were the first company to tokenize exposure to US Treasuries, and have since expanded into several other assets. We are also focused on incubating protocols that can support both tokenized real-world assets and traditional crypto.
Founded by folks from Goldman Sachs Digital Assets Team, we're backed by some of the best investors in the world including Founders Fund, Coinbase Ventures, Pantera Capital, Tiger Global, and more. We are currently the leaders in the space in terms of AUM and are well capitalized to continue growing the firm. We're fully remote, with team members across many countries.
About the role
As an Infrastructure Engineer at Ondo, you'll help build and run the platform our financial products run on. Our team owns the cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, delivery pipelines, monitoring, and tooling that every engineering team at Ondo depends on, so you'll see a wide range of systems rather than one.
You won't do this alone. You'll work closely with a diverse team of infrastructure engineers and developers. Expect to debug real production problems, write code and configuration for user-facing applications, and see your changes running in production early. You'll start with well-scoped work and take on more ownership as you learn our systems.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with development teams to build reliable financial services for our customers.
* Help the team build and improve release processes, continuous integration, and deployment automation.
* Extend application monitoring and alerting.
* Participate in an on-call rotation together with infrastructure engineers and developers.
* Troubleshoot issues with user-facing and internal services, and debug production incidents.
Requirements
* Genuine curiosity and desire to learn new technologies and break things.
* Hands-on Kubernetes experience: you can deploy, inspect, and debug workloads, even if you've never run a cluster yourself.
* Understanding of operating systems, especially Linux internals.
* Experience with "infrastructure-as-code" or "infrastructure-as-data" approaches to infrastructure management.
* Understanding of the GitOps approach to application management.
* Experience with the Prometheus stack or another monitoring solution.
Nice to haves
* Experience building infrastructure in a major cloud provider (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
* Programming ability in Go, Python, or another modern, widely adopted language.
* Experience running stateful workloads in production, not only stateless services.
Our tech stack
AWS, GCP, Azure | Terraform | Kubernetes, Flux | Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog
What we offer
* Competitive compensation including salary, future token rights, and/or equity (according to your preferences) — we're well-funded and believe that great talent deserves great compensation
* Full benefits (medical, vision, and dental) and flexible vacation policy (PTO)
* Small remote-first team across many countries — you'll be an early team member helping shape our vision, culture, and design practices
* A+ colleagues — our team includes alumni from: Goldman Sachs, Blackrock, Two Sigma, Bridgewater, SpaceX, AWS, Meta, Google, Pinterest, McKinsey, Circle, Uniswap, Phantom
* Best-in-class investors — we are proud to be backed by leading crypto experts and VCs, including Pantera Capital, Founders Fund and Coinbase Ventures

About the team
This is a newly formed team within Payment Operations, built to give Eneba end-to-end visibility into the payment funnel that supports our 20m+ active users across 17+ payment service providers. Today, there is no single, reliable view of funnel health — this team exists to build one: the alerting, dashboards, and reporting needed to identify issues early, quantify their business impact, and route them to the right owner for resolution, whether the root cause sits with us or with a provider.
As a newly established function, the team operates with a strong bias toward action and iteration — validating ideas quickly through small, working proofs of concept rather than long planning cycles, and building up from there.
About You
You bring hands-on experience working within a payment funnel and are comfortable navigating a complex, multi-provider environment — you understand concepts like decline codes and 3DS flows, not just in theory but in practice. You take initiative to investigate issues independently rather than waiting to be assigned a defined task, and you can communicate technical findings clearly to stakeholders without a deep payments background. You're equally comfortable building something from first principles and operating without an established playbook.
Responsibilities
- Take diagnostic ownership of checkout funnel health — surfacing alerts, insights, and defects before they become business-critical.
- Lead root-cause investigations that distinguish engineering defects from user-behavior patterns, and communicate findings clearly to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the funnel's reporting cadence to cross-functional teams, translating data into insights that drive measurable improvements in authorization rate and conversion.
- Analyze authorization-rate, decline-code, and multi-PSP performance to identify the highest-impact bottlenecks in the funnel.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Fraud on the diagnostic work behind funnel issues and processor outages.
- Develop into a trusted point of contact for payment funnel health within the team.
Requirements
Must-have
- Payments funnel literacy: interchange, decline codes, FX, tokenization, 3DS, fraud fundamentals.
- Demonstrated root-cause analysis on funnel drop-off or decline patterns — technical vs. behavioral.
- Able to translate complex data and customer-behavior insights for audiences without deep technical or domain context.
Nice-to-have
- Self-serve BI/dashboard tool familiarity for personal investigation speed.
- SQL fluency for independent investigation.
- Experience navigating ambiguity in a fast-changing or high-growth environment.
- Multi-PSP comparative analysis experience.
Salary ranges may vary. We're seeking candidates with varied experience levels; from individual contributors to functional leaders in this space.
We're an international team and our business language of choice is English. Good English level is required, proficiency is preferred.
