ABOUT DOCKER
Docker has been one of the most loved brands in developer tooling, trusted by more than 20 million monthly users and over 20 billion container image pulls. From solo founders to the world's largest companies, developers rely on Docker to build, share, and run their applications across our suite of products including Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, and Docker Scout.
We are a globally distributed, remote-first team building the tools that define how software gets built and delivered. As AI agents redefine software development, Docker is at the center of that shift, providing the sandboxed environments, verified images, and secure infrastructure that make autonomous workflows trustworthy by default.
_______________________________________________________________________
The Developer Experience team builds the backend systems and product capabilities that help developers understand, secure and ship software with confidence. The team powers important parts of Docker Scout, Docker Hardened Images and the workflows that turn supply-chain data into useful developer experiences.
Our systems are deliberately polyglot. Today that includes Clojure and Go services, event-driven workflows, Kafka, legacy Datomic components and newer Spanner-backed services. We will keep evolving the stack as the product and business change. We are looking for an adaptable backend engineer who can become effective in an unfamiliar codebase, choose technology pragmatically and help other engineers do the same. Clojure experience is useful, but it is not a requirement and this is not a Clojure-specialist role.
We make extensive use of AI-assisted engineering tools. We expect engineers to use them thoughtfully, validate their output and remain accountable for the quality, security and operability of what ships. At Staff level, you will also help the team turn good individual practice into repeatable workflows, controls and shared standards.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead ambiguous, cross-team work from problem definition through measurable outcomes. You will remain hands-on in code while shaping architecture, raising operational standards and creating enough clarity for several engineers and partner teams to move quickly. Work may span developer-facing features, build and artefact workflows, data and event pipelines, platform evolution and integrations with Docker's build and security systems.
SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE
You will succeed by finding the highest-leverage problem, creating momentum before every detail is known and bringing people with you. Within your first year, teams should be delivering more confidently because you have made system boundaries clearer, reduced operational risk, connected technical choices to customer outcomes and helped senior engineers take on larger work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set technical direction for major backend and developer-experience initiatives across Clojure, Go and adjacent systems.
- Turn ambiguous product or platform problems into clear plans, staged decisions and measurable outcomes.
- Design, build and operate distributed services, event pipelines, databases and APIs with strong security and reliability characteristics.
- Lead cross-team delivery, surface risks early and remove technical or organisational blockers without waiting for formal authority.
- Make pragmatic recommendations about when to retain, evolve or replace existing components, including the continued reduction of legacy Datomic dependencies.
- Partner with Product, Design, Security and other engineering teams to connect technical investment to developer and business outcomes.
- Improve observability, incident readiness, performance and service ownership across the Developer Experience estate.
- Improve engineering leverage through appropriate automation, AI-assisted workflows and controls that preserve human accountability.
- Mentor senior engineers, raise the quality of design and code reviews and create reusable patterns that multiply the team.
- Stay hands-on through implementation, debugging and the team's paid on-call rotation.
- Communicate decisions and trade-offs clearly in a remote, async-first environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with demonstrated technical leadership on production systems at scale.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Deep experience designing, building and operating production backend or platform systems.
- Strong programming ability in at least one production language, with evidence of becoming effective in unfamiliar languages and codebases.
- Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, APIs, relational or distributed databases and cloud-native infrastructure.
- A track record of leading complex initiatives that crossed team or organisational boundaries.
- Strong technical and product judgement, including the ability to explain constraints, alternatives, customer outcomes and business trade-offs.
- Evidence of influencing without authority and improving the effectiveness of other experienced engineers.
- An operational mindset that treats observability, resilience, incident response and on-call ownership as part of engineering.
- Comfort using AI-assisted engineering tools critically while retaining ownership of the result.
- Clear written and spoken communication suited to a remote, async-first company.
HELPFUL, BUT NOT REQUIRED
- Production experience with Go, Clojure or both.
- Experience with Spanner, Datomic, Kafka or other distributed data and streaming platforms.
- Experience with build systems, containers, artefact workflows or developer tooling.
- Experience evolving a platform, database or language strategy without disrupting product delivery.
- Experience building security or software supply-chain products.
WHAT TO EXPECT
FIRST 30 DAYS
- Build context on Developer Experience products, customers, architecture and current priorities.
- Pair across Clojure, Go, Datomic and Spanner-backed systems and ship a useful production change.
- Understand the operational profile of the team's services, including on-call and recurring failure modes.
- Build working relationships with Product, Design, Security and adjacent engineering teams.
- Learn the team's AI-assisted engineering practices and identify where shared controls or workflows would improve them.
FIRST 90 DAYS
- Lead the technical framing and delivery plan for one significant team or cross-team problem.
- Contribute production code in the parts of the stack needed to move that work forward.
- Identify and begin addressing a material reliability, observability, data or architectural weakness.
- Establish a mentoring and design-review cadence that helps other engineers own larger decisions.
ONE YEAR OUTLOOK (FIRST YEAR)
- Be a trusted technical leader for Developer Experience and a sought-after partner across Docker.
- Deliver at least one material product or platform outcome spanning multiple teams or systems.
- Improve the reliability, clarity and delivery speed of the backend and data estate.
- Shape pragmatic evolution across Clojure, Go, Datomic, Spanner and future technologies without turning technology choice into the goal.
- Grow other senior engineers into broader ownership and reduce the number of decisions that depend on a small set of people.
Docker considers sponsorship on a case-by-case basis based on business needs.
Compensation & Equity
EU: €110,500 – €181,500+ equity
United States: $170,350 – $275,550 + equity

About Wolt
At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.
At Wolt, you can grow your sales career with a fun and fast-scaling global business. Part of the DoorDash team, we’re building a global logistics platform that can deliver (almost) everything in your city, to your door in minutes. Today, our products are used by 55+ million registered users who can now order from 200,000+ restaurants and retail stores across 30+ countries around the world.
Our Sales teams create and build our relationships with merchants. Together, we’ve helped big brands, local stores and neighborhood restaurants do over €15 billion’s worth of business through our platform. We’re constantly launching new cities and products, so there are always new opportunities to expand your skills and progress your career.
As our new Account Manager you’ll be trusted with a portfolio of nationally recognized brands, each with ambitious goals, multi-layered decision-making structures, and large operational footprints. You’ll be responsible for unlocking their full potential on Wolt by building strong relationships, running sophisticated campaigns, and making data-driven decisions that drive both growth and profitability.
What you’ll be doing
As an Account Manager, you’ll be the primary point of contact for a number of large enterprise accounts. You’ll work across multiple layers of each organisation – from central decision-makers to regional managers and local stores – with a focus on long-term growth and operational excellence.
You’ll plan and execute advanced promotional campaigns, lead commercial negotiations, and use data to optimize every aspect of partner performance. In addition to managing your portfolio, you’ll help shape internal tooling and best practices that support the broader enterprise AM community.
Day-to-day in this role you’ll:
Own a portfolio of restaurant accounts end-to-end
Lead negotiations and strategic planning in collaboration with senior internal and external stakeholders
Drive adoption of relevant Wolt products such as Wolt+, Wolt Ads, Wolt Drive, and Wolt Capital
Analyse partner performance in depth – from conversion rates to delivery efficiency – and turn insights into concrete actions
Collaborate cross-functionally with teams like Marketing, Operations, Analytics, and Product to ensure smooth execution of partner plans and bring feedback from the field into internal roadmaps
Build tools, frameworks, or workflows that support smarter decision-making within your team and across the region
Tailor your approach to different organisational layers, from headquarters to local store operators
Our humble expectations
We’re looking for someone who combines commercial sharpness, analytical depth, and strong interpersonal skills – and who’s motivated by solving complex challenges.
Strategic commercial thinking – You understand what drives partner performance and profitability, and you can develop win-win plans that balance long-term growth with short-term impact
Advanced analytical skills – You’re highly comfortable navigating BI tools like Looker or Excel, building your own performance views, and using data to guide negotiations, campaigns, and optimisations
Ownership mindset – You take full responsibility for your portfolio, push projects forward without being asked, and proactively solve problems when roadblocks appear
Process builder – You enjoy improving how things work – whether through creating internal tooling, building a new report, or refining the way we engage with partners
Experience – You likely have 4+ years in account management, strategy, consulting, or commercial roles with enterprise exposure
Languages – You’re fluent in Hungarian and English, both written and spoken

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
Fivetran and dbt Labs is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.
We're looking for a senior software engineer to join our Metadata team, which owns the metadata layer of the dbt platform — the discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history services that let customers understand, trust, and act on what their data is doing.
You'll own the design and delivery of features end to end, working across high-throughput APIs and data models to make them faster, more reliable, and more capable. You'll write and review designs, raise the quality bar in code review, use the latest AI tools, and collaborate closely with product and QE to deliver work that scales.
Technologies You’ll Use
Python, Rust, GraphQL, Postgres, Snowflake, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, GCP, Datadog
What You’ll Do
Design and implement features and performance improvements across the Metadata team's services — discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history
Develop, maintain, and test high-quality, maintainable code, and optimize critical paths for performance
Write technical designs for feature-level work, actively seek feedback, and clearly explain the trade-offs of your decisions
Participate in and review technical designs and pull requests, providing constructive feedback to the team
Improve test coverage with comprehensive unit tests and refactor code to drive down tech debt
Troubleshoot and debug production issues, and follow up on incidents with post-mortems and mitigation plans
Break features into tasks, structure and execute your own project plans, and contribute to sprint and feature planning
Collaborate with product managers, QE, customer support, and peers to deliver the best product with high quality, performance, and scalability
Participate periodically in the on-call rotation, and be mindful of security throughout your work
Use AI tooling — IDE assistants like GitHub Copilot, coding agents like Claude Code, and conversational AI — to accelerate development and to author and review SDLC artifacts such as TDDs, PRDs, post-mortems, and test plans
Skills We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in the software industry with a passion for solving complex software engineering problems, including designing and building backend services and reusable components from the ground up
Experience working with distributed systems and cloud computing concepts
Demonstrated ability to write well-structured, performant, and well-tested code
Ability to independently lead feature-level software and design work that satisfies project requirements, and to clearly explain design trade-offs
Can identify design flaws in existing systems and propose improvements
Experience with code reviews, design, troubleshooting, and testing
Proficiency in a modern backend or systems language such as Python, Java, C++, or C#
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with continuous integration tooling such as BuildKite, and familiarity with observability tools like Datadog or Grafana is a plus
Fluent in using AI code assistants and coding agents to generate and investigate code, and conversational AI (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to research, author, review, and synthesize SDLC artifacts
Bonus Skills
Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT) and/or cloud-based data platforms
Experience building or working with metadata, catalog, lineage, or discovery/search systems
Experience with GraphQL APIs and high-throughput, multi-tenant data services
Familiarity with the analytics engineering workflow and the dbt ecosystem

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.

Technologies You'll Use

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
Workplace: Remote
We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
ABOUT THE ROLE
*Open to hiring remote across North America and London — we also have offices in NYC, San Francisco, Seattle, and London.
We’re building a tool that makes content creation easy and accessible for all types of creatives. Our users love it. Runway has an actively engaged and growing community of passionate artists and creators worldwide. And we’re growing our support team to ensure we can continue to provide delightful experiences for our users every day.
We're looking for creatives at heart that can pick up new tools fast, hold up under high ticket volume without losing quality and identify solutions vs. just clearing the queue. If that's you, read on!
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Work through a high volume of inbound support tickets across Free, Standard, Pro and Unlimited plans with speed and accuracy
- Handle escalations from our AI support layer with sharp judgement on what needs a human and what doesn't
- Identify patterns across tickets and proactively surface them to the product team- not just reporting, but also offering thoughtful recommendations based on what you're seeing
- Help identify opportunities to maintain or build self-service content: help docs, short-form videos, FAQs, etc.
- Engage with the Runway community on Discord and other forums
- Contribute directly to process improvements and automation, including building things yourself when the opportunity is there
- Triage complex technical issues for escalation to Enterprise support
- Live troubleshoot within the Runway platform as needed
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- You're already comfortable in tools like Notion, Slack, Zendesk (or similar), Google Workspace and AI platforms
- Strong written communication: clear, direct, and thoughtful at volume
- A learn-by-failing mentality, when you hit something unfamiliar, you have an experimental mindset
- Natural curiosity about how products work, why users get confused, and what could be done better
- Comfort managing your own work in a fast-moving environment- high ownership and high autonomy
- Data driven mindset: you notice patterns and know how to communicate them
- 1-3 years in customer support, operations, or technical role
- Expertise and/or interest in the creative space, AI or both
- Genuine interest in AI, creative tools or both
WHAT SETS YOU APART
The most successful people in this role don't just keep up- they set the pace. They move through 60, 80, even 100+ tickets in a day without letting quality slip. They're reading the queue, not just clearing it. They notice what keeps surfacing and do something about it, a message to product, a doc, sometimes something they built themselves. They show up with ideas no one asked for yet.
Runway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team. Our salary ranges are based on competitive market rates for our size, stage and industry, and salary is just one part of the overall compensation package we provide.
There are many factors that go into salary determinations, including relevant experience, skill level and qualifications assessed during the interview process, and maintaining internal equity with peers on the team. The range shared below is a general expectation for the function as posted, but we are also open to considering candidates who may be more or less experienced than outlined in the job description. In this case, we will communicate any updates in the expected salary range.
Lastly, the provided range is the expected salary for candidates in the U.S. Outside of those regions, there may be a change in the range, which again, will be communicated to candidates.

About the Role
dbt Fusion is building the next generation of data execution and connectivity infrastructure, enabling dbt workloads to run efficiently across diverse compute engines and data platforms. As a Senior Engineer on the Fusion Adapters and Connectivity team, you’ll design and ship core abstractions powering how dbt communicates with execution systems — leveraging Rust, Go, Arrow, and emerging open standards. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of systems programming, database internals, and high-visibility open-source development. Your work will shape a foundational platform leveraged across the dbt ecosystem and the broader data community.
What You’ll Do
Design, build, and maintain Rust-first connectivity layers, execution APIs, and adapter scaffolding.
Partner with teams building the dbt compiler, semantic layer, and runtime to evolve adapter interfaces and system boundaries.
Contribute to Arrow/ADBC and other open-source specifications or implementations, strengthening the data ecosystem.
Own CI, testing frameworks, profiling, error reporting surfaces, and release readiness for Fusion adapters.
Debug complex interoperability and performance issues across drivers, engines, and compute domains.
Collaborate with internal and community maintainers to review PRs, write RFCs, and evolve public code architectures.
Mentor engineers on systems best practices and contribute to shared patterns around resilience, debuggability, and API clarity.
Skills We’re Looking For
Strong programming background in Rust, Go, C++ or similar performance-oriented languages.
Experience designing or maintaining SDKs, libraries, connectors, or compute/data integration codebases.
Exposure to data warehouses, query engines, Arrow/columnar ecosystems, or execution runtimes.
A desire to build foundational platform components that other teams and community members rely on.
Comfort working in public code review loops, async-first communication, and collaborative RFC processes.
A mindset grounded in debuggability, reliability, and ownership in ambiguous problem spaces.
You’ll have an edge if you have:
Contributed to or interacted with Arrow, ADBC, DuckDB, Presto, DataFusion, Spark, ClickHouse, or similar engines.
Experience shaping adapter/plugin standards, driver contracts, or architectural interfaces used by others.
Familiarity with Rust async ecosystems (tokio, tower, tracing) or Go concurrency practices.
Prior OSS governance experience — triaging issues, reviewing PRs, or working with community maintainers.
An interest in building developer-experience layers or scaffolding frameworks for adapter authors.
Qualifications:
6+ years experience in software engineering, with strong systems-level skills.
2+ years working in open-source, SDK, runtime, or low-level integration environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / related field or equivalent experience through industry OSS contributions.
