HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
As we continue to build our Sales team locally, we are looking for several ‘full-stack’ Sales. You can call it Sales, Business development... What is important for us is the mission: help companies transition to a more personal, proactive and holistic health partner.
At Alan, Sales drive deals, manage key customer relationships and help close strategic opportunities with prospects. You are directly responsible for educating prospects, providing inspiring product demonstrations, and onboarding companies’ key stakeholders as you make the transition from prospect to customer.
At the same time, we expect you to understand, embrace and apply the Alan Smart & Soft selling method. This method stems from the concept that the prospect experience is an inseparable piece of the overall Alan customer experience.
You are expected to make this experience pleasant, instructive and delightful by leveraging the most relevant messaging and materials (Smart) and by defining the high-touch strategy that suits best each prospect (Soft).
We also expect you to look at the big picture and help us grow and improve as a company. For that, you’ll have to be real team players even beyond your role. You’ll be expected to challenge us to improve our product(s), our methods and our strategy, and get involved in other projects and initiatives relevant to growing our customer base.
⭐ SALES TEAM AT ALAN ⭐
Since we opened our Belgium market in 2020, we have experienced great momentum and traction. We’ve onboarded 1200+ companies, and delighted 90.000+ members so far. Our local team is growing (so far we went from 0 to 70+ in just over 5 years 🚀).
We now want to take the market by storm and exponentially grow the business to ultimately become the market leader by 2030 in Belgium. Our sales team is the engine that drives our B to B customer reach. We want to keep that bar very high by hiring the most exceptional Sales!
Being a Sales at Alan means joining a team of talented, committed and passionate sales experts. We move fast, with a lot of ownership, and are proud to tackle big problems!

⭐️ YOUR MISSION ⭐️
We are looking for Business Development Representatives to help our Sales team sign more customers and help Alan become the number 1 insurer in Europe. 🚀
You will work closely with a team of Account Executives in generating new business by qualifying leads, prospecting and generating meetings with the right stakeholders of top high-growth companies !
We are already taking care of Beobank, AS Adventure, Delaware, Vandemoortele, Airbnb, Pluxee, Easi, Cowboy and +1200 other exciting customers. Many more are in pipe!
Being a Business Development Representative is really the fast-track to learning the ins and outs of sales. Working in duo with our Account Executives is a real opportunity to learn from the best.
You will be responsible for:
- Generating meetings with prospects to achieve our company objectives: by putting a strong focus on prioritisation and a high level of outreach personalisation to land our weekly targets.
- Develop outbound sales leads and respond to product inquiries, run email campaigns to generate new sales prospects & complete accurate tracking of communication with current and potential customers in our CRM.
- Realise a quick lead qualification before allocating the leads to an Account Executive.
- Represent our company’s products: starting with a deep and comprehensive understanding and following with consumer research to identify how our solutions meet needs.
- Understand, embrace and apply the Alan Smart & Soft selling method: This method stems from the concept that the prospect experience is an inseparable piece of the overall Alan customer experience. Increasingly also take ownership of engaging with clients and closing deals
⭐ YOUR PROFILE ⭐

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and licensed Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Broker to join our team as part of a critical pilot to launch a P&C broker model at Gusto. You will be a SME who is part of the "human-in-the-loop" workflows required to train and optimize Gus as an AI insurance advisor. Our collective vision is to be an expert advisor that supports small businesses through every stage of growth, with this pilot being key to establishing our digital insurance agency and licensed agent integration.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
— Make outbound dials to prospective and existing small business clients to assess their complex P&C insurance needs and recommend suitable coverage options.
— Quote and issue Property & Casualty policies, primarily with the NEXT Insurance carrier, in our offline sales channel.
— Achieve required daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity expectations.

— Actively work to cross-sell and up-sell additional P&C lines of coverage and strive to achieve monthly production goals for units and/or revenue.
— Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and policy documentation within CRM systems (SFDC workflow).
— Use AI-powered workflows as a core part of how you sell: running assigned tools daily, surfacing friction and inefficiencies as you find them, and collaborating with your team to influence what gets built or improved next.
— Stay current on industry trends, products, regulations, and underwriting guidelines to provide accurate advice and ensure compliance.
Here’s what we're looking for:
Experience in the field:
— Proven experience in insurance sales or brokerage, with coverage level knowledge of commercial P&C products (e.g., Workers' Compensation, BOP, Commercial Auto, E&O).

Compensation:
— Cash compensation amount for this role is $109,390 to $134,000 OTE for Denver, Atlanta, Chicago & Las Vegas.
