As Head of E-commerce Conversion Rate Optimisation, you will own the optimisation strategy across both in-house e-commerce brands and agency client accounts.
Your goal will be to identify and prioritise the highest-value opportunities to improve conversion rates, Average Order Value (AOV), revenue, and profit per visitor.
You’ll combine quantitative analytics with customer research and behavioural insights to develop commercially focused experimentation roadmaps. You’ll determine what should be A/B tested, what should be implemented directly, and ensure designers and developers are focused on initiatives capable of delivering measurable commercial impact.
Beyond execution, you’ll play a key role in developing the company's CRO framework, maintaining the quality of client strategy, presenting findings to stakeholders, and eventually hiring and mentoring additional CRO strategists.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end CRO and e-commerce optimisation strategy across three in-house brands and selected agency clients.
Audit new client websites, funnels, analytics setups, and customer journeys to identify growth opportunities.
Identify opportunities to improve conversion rates, AOV, revenue, and profit per visitor.
Build, prioritise, and manage structured CRO and experimentation roadmaps.
Develop clear, data-backed, and commercially focused hypotheses for experiments.
Analyse GA4, Shopify, e-commerce, and behavioural data to uncover friction points and opportunities.
Use heatmaps, session recordings, surveys, customer feedback, and qualitative research to understand customer behaviour.
Determine when optimisation opportunities should be A/B tested versus implemented directly.
Brief designers and developers on CRO initiatives, ensuring execution remains aligned with the commercial objective.
Review experiment results and assess statistical validity before making recommendations.
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for clients and internal stakeholders.
Present CRO strategies, experiment findings, and recommendations directly to clients.
Quantify incremental revenue, profit, and commercial impact generated through optimisation initiatives.
Maintain a consistently high standard of CRO strategy across all accounts.
Develop and continuously improve the company's CRO framework and methodology.
Establish scalable processes for experimentation, reporting, customer research, and prioritisation.
Hire, mentor, and develop future CRO strategists as the function grows.
Requirements
5–8+ years of professional experience in Conversion Rate Optimisation, experimentation, e-commerce optimisation, or a closely related discipline.
Strong track record of delivering measurable CRO improvements for e-commerce businesses.
Experience working with established e-commerce brands, ideally generating approximately £1m–£50m in revenue.
Advanced knowledge of Shopify or other major e-commerce platforms.
Strong proficiency with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and e-commerce analytics.
Hands-on experience with A/B and multivariate testing platforms.
Strong understanding of experimentation methodology, statistical significance, and test validity.
Experience conducting customer research using surveys, behavioural analysis, heatmaps, session recordings, and other qualitative methods.
Strong knowledge of e-commerce UX, customer journeys, landing pages, product pages, checkout flows, and funnel optimisation.
Ability to connect CRO activity to commercial outcomes such as revenue, AOV, margin, and profit per visitor.
Experience creating and prioritising experimentation roadmaps based on expected commercial impact.
Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.
Ability to confidently brief and collaborate with designers, developers, marketers, and senior stakeholders.
Comfortable owning strategy while remaining hands-on with analysis, research, and experimentation.
Previous agency, consultancy, or multi-brand experience is highly desirable.
Leadership or mentoring experience, with the ability to build and develop a CRO team as the business scales.
Benefits
🌎 Fully remote opportunity with the ability to work as part of an ambitious, growth-focused team.
🚀 High-impact leadership role with ownership of CRO strategy across multiple ecommerce brands and agency clients.
🧠 Build the CRO methodology and help define how the agency approaches research, experimentation, and optimisation.

About Nebius:
Nebius is leading a new era in cloud infrastructure for the global AI economy. We are building a full-stack AI cloud platform that supports developers and enterprises from data and model training through to production deployment, without the cost and complexity of building large in-house AI/ML infrastructure.
Built by engineers, for engineers. From large-scale GPU orchestration to inference optimization, we own the hard problems across compute, storage, networking and applied AI.
Listed on Nasdaq (NBIS) and headquartered in Amsterdam, we have a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, the UK, North America and Israel. Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.
The role
Tavily, part of Nebius, is the web access layer for AI agents. Over two million developers use us, and our customers include Fortune 500 companies running agents in production.
You will own our enterprise product: the roadmap for what large customers need, and the control plane that makes it possible. These are the capabilities that decide whether a large customer can adopt us, trust us, and expand with us.
Our product is an API, and our enterprise buyer is an engineering organization. The people you build for are platform teams, architects, and the developers inside those companies who are putting agents into production. You need to be comfortable making product decisions about API surfaces, developer workflows, and technical tradeoffs, not only about business requirements.
To build this well, you have to be in the room. You will work alongside customer success, sales, and our forward-deployed engineers, who are in these accounts every week and already know where we fall short, and you will spend real time with customers alongside them. Delivery and implementation stay with forward-deployed engineering and go-to-market. Your job is to turn what you learn into product.
The hard part is judgment. Knowing which request is one account's edge case, and which one is the thing every enterprise customer will ask for six months from now. Getting that right is the difference between a platform and a pile of custom work.
In your first year, we expect you to own a clear enterprise roadmap, ship the controls that block deals today, and become the person the go-to-market team comes to before a deal gets stuck.
This is a hands-on senior IC role with real ownership, reporting to the Director of Product. The product team is small, so you will work directly with the engineers building your roadmap and with the go-to-market teams selling it.
Your responsibilities will include
Own the enterprise roadmap: what we build for large customers, in what order, and why.
Own the platform behind it: organizations and identity, keys and quotas, spend controls, usage observability and audit, policy enforcement, and data residency.
Make product decisions on our API surface for enterprise use, so that the developers inside those accounts can build on us without friction.
Work with customer success, sales, and forward-deployed engineering to understand what enterprise customers need, and spend time in accounts alongside them to see it first hand.
Tell the difference between a single-account request and a pattern worth building for, and be able to defend the call either way.
Hand off what belongs to another product area, with the evidence that makes it actionable.
Give sales and marketing the positioning, materials, and product understanding they need to sell a technical product well.
Represent enterprise customers in roadmap decisions with evidence rather than anecdote.
We expect you to have
6+ years of product management experience, with a meaningful part of it spent on enterprise products in B2B, developer platform, or API businesses.
Experience building developer-facing or API products, with real understanding of what makes an API good to build against.
Experience building platform capabilities that enterprises depend on, such as identity, permissions, quotas, usage controls, audit, or compliance.
A track record of working with large enterprise accounts, including recognized logos, and turning what you learned into shipped product.
Credibility with technical buyers: platform teams, architects, security, and procurement.
Strong understanding of LLMs, AI agents, and how search and retrieval fit into agentic workflows. Hands-on technical background is a strong plus.
The ability to turn many messy customer conversations into one clear, prioritized product argument.
Proven ability to drive alignment without formal authority, including with product owners who do not report to you.
It will be a bonus if you have
Background as a forward-deployed engineer, solutions engineer, or solutions architect before moving into product.
Experience in search, information retrieval, or NLP.
Experience in API-first businesses running both self-serve and enterprise motions.
Experience building for regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, or healthcare.
