How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Notice Regarding Hasbro’s use of AI in the Recruitment Process
We use Greenhouse’s AI-powered Talent Matching tool to compare your application against our job requirements.
How it works: Talent Matching compares information from your resume and application responses with job-related criteria established and weighted by Hasbro’s recruiting and hiring teams. Depending on the role, these criteria may include relevant skills, work experience, prior job titles, and industry experience. The tool then assigns a match category to help organize applications for review.
Human oversight: Talent Matching supports — but does not replace — human review. It does not automatically advance or reject candidates or make employment decisions. Hasbro’s recruiters and hiring managers review applications and remain responsible for all hiring decisions.
Greenhouse has published the results of an independent bias audit of Talent Matching.

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.

Perplexity is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join our growing Finance and Accounting team. You will partner closely with the Payroll Manager to keep US and international payroll accurate, compliant, and timely as the company scales through rapid hiring, global expansion, and increasing complexity in equity and benefits administration.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership from day one, working closely with People Operations, Accounting, Tax, and Equity. The ideal candidate combines strong payroll and systems expertise with sharp attention to detail, a service-oriented approach, and the ability to bring structure to a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
- US and international payroll processing: Own day-to-day processing support for US multi-state semi-monthly payroll and assist with international payroll cycles across approximately 16 countries, working primarily in Rippling.
- Global contractor payroll: Run the monthly global contractor payroll cycle, including timecard submission tracking, manager approval follow-up, and on-schedule contractor payments.
- Pre- and post-payroll audits: Reconcile benefit deductions, 401(k) deferrals, and employer match against payroll journals and deductions exports; flag and resolve discrepancies before paychecks post.
- State tax account administration: Support state-level employer tax account registration and maintenance (SUI and withholding) as the company grows into new states, including migration of legacy accounts inherited from prior PEO arrangements.
- Benefits and 401(k) support: Assist with 401(k) and benefits administration, including contribution monitoring, HCE and nondiscrimination testing support, and COBRA offboarding notices.
- Equity payroll reporting: Support equity and stock-exercise payroll reporting by tracking Carta exercise data, applying correct NSO/ISO tax treatment, and preparing payroll-side entries at quarter-end cutoffs.
- Reimbursements and systems integration: Manage the Rippling-to-NetSuite reimbursement approval chain, ensuring expense reimbursements route and post correctly across systems.
- Employee support: Serve as a first point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, resolving routine questions and escalating complex cases with context.
- Close and compliance support: Maintain clean, audit-ready documentation and support quarter-end and year-end close activities, including W-2s, ACA reporting, 401(k) true-ups, and year-end reconciliations.
- Process improvement: Identify and help implement process improvements that reduce manual work and strengthen controls as payroll volume and jurisdictional complexity increase.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on payroll experience, ideally including multi-state US payroll; international or contractor payroll exposure is a plus.
- Experience establishing and managing US state agency accounts, including troubleshooting agency mailings and invoices for payment, and related account maintenance.
- Strong working knowledge of California wage statement requirements, meal and rest break premiums, final pay timing rules, and other state-specific compliance considerations.
- Hands-on experience with a modern payroll/HRIS platform (Rippling, Workday, ADP, Gusto, or similar); Rippling experience preferred.
- Comfort with detailed reconciliation work across benefits deductions, 401(k) match calculations, and payroll-to-GL tie-outs, including strong Excel and Google Sheets skills and the ability to work accurately with large datasets.
- Working knowledge of US payroll tax compliance (SUI, SIT, federal and state withholding) and interest in learning cross-border payroll mechanics.
- Familiarity with equity compensation payroll (RSU, NSO, and ISO taxation) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through — this role exists to catch errors before they reach employees, not just process transactions.
- Clear communicator who can explain payroll and benefits topics to employees and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

6. AI Governance & Risk
- Ensure the team follows AI usage guidelines (data handling, code review, IP considerations).
- Flag risks from AI-generated code (security, correctness, licensing) proactively.
- Maintain visibility into what AI tools the team is using and how they're being used.

- Builder Mindset: Comfortable with the 80/20 model (planning and review vs. direct execution). Experience orchestrating work across humans and AI agents, with strong judgment on when to delegate to AI vs. when human decision-making is critical.

- Problem-Solving: Track record of identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions, including building or adopting AI-powered tooling and eval frameworks.

- Growth Opportunities: Advance your career on a clear AI-native career pathway with structured fluency levels and development support.

Ever wondered what happens to a player's data after a Magic: The Gathering signup or a Hasbro Pulse pre-order? Hasbro's Global Privacy team makes sure it's handled accurately worldwide.
We're looking for a Privacy Paralegal who enjoys being the person everyone turns to. When a team anywhere at Hasbro has a privacy question, this is who they call, and they should walk away knowing exactly what to do next. Plenty of questions can be settled on the spot; the thornier ones go to our attorneys, already framed and ready for a decision.
Every new launch at Hasbro raises privacy questions. Marketing wants to run a Nerf giveaway, engineers are adding a feature to a game app, a vendor is pitching a tool that touches fan data. This role helps each team find a no-nonsense resolution and sees it through to a decision they can build on.
The role also keeps the privacy program running: triaging incidents and requests, collaborating with Privacy Operations on data maps and consent tools, writing the playbooks other teams rely on, keeping SharePoint records audit-ready, helping attorneys refresh privacy notices, and leading the program budget. And each January, it leads Data Privacy Day!
Location and Work Arrangement
This role is based at our Boston, Massachusetts, United States or Renton, Washington, United States office and follows a hybrid schedule designed to support in-person collaboration. Employees are expected to work onsite on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with the flexibility to work remotely or onsite on Mondays and Fridays.
What You'll Do
Build and refine the workflows, playbooks, templates, and procedures that let a small team support a global company.
Run privacy reviews of new products, features, and vendors, capturing the technical and business details attorneys need and keeping each review progressing toward a conclusion.
Serve as the privacy team's main liaison to Product Development, engineering, and marketing, so privacy requirements are part of project plans from day one.
Partner with Privacy Operations to maintain updated processing records alongside data mapping, and to lead our consent, request, and assessment tools as products and vendors change.
Track program activity and trends, and report status to privacy leadership.
Keep the team's SharePoint organized and audit-ready.
Oversee the financial aspects and invoices of the data protection efforts.
Answer questions from departments, subsidiaries, and affiliates, turning legal requirements into direction teams can act on.
Help attorneys update privacy notices and policies as laws change.
What You'll Bring
Degree or equivalent experience; paralegal certificate a plus.
2+ years of paralegal or legal experience, ideally in privacy, compliance, or risk; a technology background is a plus.
The confidence to be the first call when a product team hits a tricky privacy question: someone who can size up the issue, recommend a practical answer and stand behind it, and recognize when it's time to bring in an attorney.
A knack for running an active program: keeping many workstreams moving at once, building processes that scale, and writing updates in plain language that people actually read.
Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, and Jira.
What Sets You Apart
Knowledge of US state privacy laws, GDPR, or Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Experience with OneTrust or Ketch.
Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification would be advantageous.
