Staff Frontend Engineer
An overview of this role
As a Staff Frontend Engineer on the Core DevOps team, you'll provide technical leadership across your team and adjacent teams. You'll solve complex frontend problems, deliver large features with minimal guidance, and improve the architecture and standards that help teams move faster without compromising quality.
You'll work with product, design, engineering managers, and engineers across product groups to shape product experiences and frontend architecture for a global platform. This includes how teams use agentic artificial intelligence in engineering workflows and user experiences.
At GitLab, we build an all-remote, artificial intelligence-powered DevSecOps platform. You'll help shape product experiences and frontend architecture that enable everyone to contribute to and co-create the software that powers our world.
What you’ll do

Senior Frontend Engineer
An overview of this role
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you'll solve high-scope frontend problems and influence your team's technical and product direction. You'll ship moderately sized features with minimal guidance, improve quality and performance, mentor other engineers, and help establish standards for a high-scale web environment. The ability to work effectively in a remote, asynchronous organization by managing priorities, creating clarity, and communicating decisions in writing.
Practical experience integrating artificial intelligence into a feature, workflow, or engineering process, or evaluating its reliability, security, privacy, and appropriate human oversight.
Helpful, but not required: experience with Vue, React, Angular, TypeScript, or JavaScript; PostgreSQL, Redis, or object storage; representational state transfer or GraphQL; Kubernetes, Google Kubernetes Engine, Docker, or Google Cloud Platform; Prometheus or Sentry; and Git, GitLab Runner, or GitLab continuous integration and continuous delivery.

What We Do:
Cybercrime is growing, and more businesses are getting hit by threats that used to target only the biggest organizations. That pushes defenders like us to operate at the highest level, and it deepens our need for good people who want to make a meaningful impact.
Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress is a remote-first team working to make enterprise-grade cybersecurity accessible to businesses of all sizes. We work closely with security teams and service providers protecting complex environments, often without the time or headcount to handle it all. That’s why we build our technology in-house and back it with a 24/7 human-led Security Operations Center (SOC). As a result, our platform is never disconnected from the experts who manage it, ensuring our customers' protection.
Huntress now secures more than 6M endpoints and 17M identities worldwide. Those numbers keep growing because more businesses rely on us to help carry the load and operate with more confidence. Every day, you can see that commitment in how we stand with our customers and how we show up for each other.
Reports to: Senior Manager, Detection Engineering & Threat Hunting
Location: Remote Australia
Compensation Range: $150,000 to $170,000 AUD base plus bonus and equity
What You’ll Do:
Members of the Huntress DE&TH team wake up every morning with the honor of impeding threat actors through a combination of detection engineering and threat hunting. This team sits alongside our 24x7 Security Operations Center, and our Adversary Tactics & Tactical Response function, and plays a pivotal role in detecting threats actors before they get a chance to impact our partner environments.
As a Senior Detection Engineering and Threat Hunting (DE&TH) Analyst you should be drawn to the hard problems: detecting stealthy intrusions, managing false positives and false negatives at scale, and uncovering clues that may expose an evolving campaign across Huntress partners. In this role you will turn threat intelligence, or a hypothesis, into detections that help the SOC find real intrusions faster. While the SOC is responding to alerts within minutes, this team is developing detections and reviewing more ambiguous signs of attacker activity on a daily & weekly basis.
On the Detection Engineering side of the role, you will play a part in designing, building, and maintaining a resilient, scalable, and high-fidelity detection portfolio that enables the SOC to rapidly identify and respond to adversary activity. This will involve working with engineering and other adjacent teams to achieve a shared goal across multiple domains which includes identities and endpoints.
On the Threat Hunting side of the role, you will get to research new attacker tradecraft, test new theories, and review hunting data at scale for millions of endpoints to proactively hunt for, and disrupt, stealthy threat actor techniques that evade initial defenses.
If you love Detection Engineering and Threat Hunting at scale, whilst in the environment and energy of a SOC, this is the role for you!
Responsibilities:
Contribute to all parts of the detection lifecycle by creating new rules, testing them before deployment, monitoring efficacy, and tuning, promoting, or retiring rules based on their performance.
Develop rules across a variety of Huntress products and operating systems such as: Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
Manage any DE&TH requests raised internally or escalated from our partners.
Undertake hypothesis-driven hunts across Huntress telemetry, prioritising techniques and tradecraft that may evade high-fidelity detections and initial SOC review.
Consume threat intelligence and translate IOCs, TTPs, and internal findings into new or refined detections through Git-based workflows.
Build and refine hunting dashboards or queries required to surface potential intrusions.
Review ambiguous signs of attacker activity across Huntress products, and surface likely intrusions that require deeper investigation.
Investigate or escalate likely intrusions identified to ensure partners receive clear incident reports with accurate advice.
Contribute findings to community-driven projects and create Huntress content such as blogs, social posts, videos, podcasts, and webinars.
Use AI-assisted workflows to prototype queries, enrich analysis, and develop a scaffolding for detection rules, ensuring you apply sound judgment to validate the AI output. We expect everyone at Huntress to be able to use AI as a real part of how they work, not occasionally, but genuinely embedded in core workflows.
What You Bring To The Team:
2+ years of experience in detection engineering, threat hunting, SOC, MDR, or incident response.
Intermediate knowledge of Windows internals.
Working knowledge of Linux, macOS, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Google Workspace.
Experience developing, testing, tuning, and documenting detections or analytics from threat intelligence, IOCs, hypotheses, or real-world investigations.
Ability to communicate findings through clear written reports.
Strong familiarity with detection languages such as Sigma, Suricata, Snort, or YARA, and query languages such as KQL, EQL, ES|QL, or Splunk SPL.
A sound understanding of adversary tradecraft, including techniques used for persistence, privilege escalation, defense impairment, lateral movement, discovery, and collection on a system.
A sound understanding of the roles different threat actors play and their associated goals, such as: initial access brokers, ransomware affiliates, and state-sponsored entities.
Ability to orchestrate reusable AI workflows that improve threat hunting, detection development, or analysis, and can verify AI-generated outputs before they reach production environments.
Bonus points for:
Intermediate knowledge of Linux and MacOS internals.
Hands-on experience using tools to remotely discover evidence of compromise such as OSquery, Velociraptor, and EDR/MDR/XDR platforms.
Previous use of forensic tooling such as Eric Zimmerman's EZ Tools, RegRipper, Hayabusa, or Chainsaw to analyze endpoint artifacts.
Intermediate malware analysis skills.
What We Offer:
Fully remote work
At least one annual trip to the US for Summer Summit, with additional local events in Australia!
New starter home office set up reimbursement ($800 AUD)
12 weeks paid parental leave for both primary and secondary carers
Monthly digital allowance for personal phone and internet costs ($185 AUD)
Monthly home office tech stipend to upgrade or replace equipment ($40 AUD)

Huntress is committed to creating a culture of inclusivity where every single member of our team is valued, has a voice, and is empowered to come to work every day just as they are.
We do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, veteran status, genetic information, marital status, or any other legally protected status.

An overview of this role
As a Senior Developer Advocate at GitLab, you'll help technical audiences understand and use our intelligent orchestration platform where teams and their AI agents ship secure software faster. You'll go deep on the product, especially GitLab Duo Agent Platform and our newer capabilities, and continuously discover real-world workflows that teams care about. This role focuses on showing the product in action and building relationships with customers and the community. You'll help cover events and work across U.S. and Canadian time zones.
What you'll do
Deeply understand GitLab's platform, especially our AI agent capabilities, and continuously find productive, real-world use cases worth showing.
Create product content, including videos, blog posts, presentations, and social clips that show key use cases for GitLab in the user interface and terminal.
Produce video content end to end: script, record, and edit product walkthroughs and demos, and collaborate with GitLab's video team on longer or higher-production pieces.
Deliver product demos and participate in analyst briefings.
Engage with customers through webinars, customer meetings, and other conversations.
Participate in the developer community by engaging on the GitLab forum and Discord, following the conversations happening on social platforms, in newsletters, and at events, and making sure GitLab has a voice in the ones that matter.
Answer technical questions that come through the sales team, and partner with support, sales, and product on developer-facing educational content.
Use hands-on product experience to share feedback with product teams and test new features.
Contribute to technical research and analysis of the developer tools landscape.
Travel requirement up to 20% for events and customer meetings.
What you'll bring
Hands-on technical experience. You understand how software gets built, with a focus on everything that happens after code is written, and can talk about it credibly with engineers.
Understanding of artificial intelligence and its use in software development, from coding all the way to production. You have built and operated agentic systems and infrastructure.
The ability to explain technical products clearly. You can demo a product, record a walkthrough, or speak at a conference without it feeling forced.
Fluency in developer social platforms. You know what's interesting to the people we're trying to reach and can participate in the conversation with credibility.
Curiosity and self-direction. You're already finding the next thing worth talking about, following the right people, and noticing opportunities.
Experience engaging with customers, developers, or technical communities.
Ability to work independently and collaborate across sales, engineering, product, and other teams.
About the team

BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE
Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.
THE TEAM
Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.
Consumer Trading is a full-stack team behind the Consumer experience in Kraken mobile and web applications. Our flagship product allows our clients to instantly buy, sell, convert any combination of stocks, cryptocurrencies and cash. We are constantly working on extending the product suite with new features and improvements.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Own the connective tissue between marketing and product at Kraken Consumer — a remit with real scope to shape how millions of people discover and return to our products.
- Build something from the ground up: the roadmap, the intake model and the standards for how marketing and product work together are all yours to define.
- Sit at the centre of the acquisition funnel, where small improvements in conversion compound into meaningful growth.
- Unlock new acquisition channels by building the product surfaces they depend on — paid social, search, affiliates and offline campaigns.
- Shape a fast-growing mobile acquisition motion, including in-product social, creator partnerships, community and friend-referral mechanics.
- Own both halves of the lifecycle: bringing new users in, and giving existing users compelling reasons to come back.
- Work in one of the most competitive corners of consumer fintech, where conversion craft and product quality genuinely decide who wins.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Own the marketing product roadmap end to end, and build the process that turns campaign ideas into shipped product work.
- Design and launch tailored campaign experiences — the in-app and web journeys users land in from push, email, social and paid.
- Raise the bar on lifecycle messaging so push and email feel useful rather than noisy, and convert accordingly.
- Own the incentives layer for new and returning users: offers, referral mechanics, recurring deposits and earn-led campaigns.
- Apply user psychology and sharp UX thinking to find where the funnel leaks, then run the experiments that close the gaps.
- Improve landing page and search performance, and build the product foundations that make paid and offline channels measurable and worth the spend.
- Partner with marketing, design, engineering and data as the single point of ownership for growth enablement.
- Define the acquisition and reactivation metrics that matter, and report on them honestly — including when an experiment doesn't land.
Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
OUR COMMITMENT
Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto.
We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision.
As an equal opportunity employer, we don't tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind, whether based on race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, citizenship, religion, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws.

In this role, you'll act as a key connector between customer stakeholders and GitLab’s field organization so GitLab is seen as a trusted, long-term partner before, during, and after the sale. In your first year, you’ll be expected to build and manage a healthy enterprise pipeline, create repeatable sales motions, and drive successful rollouts and adoption that translate into measurable results and long-term expansion.
What you'll do

Drive the full sales cycle in large, complex enterprises, including prospecting, qualifying, developing, and closing new opportunities across your assigned accounts.
Provide strong account leadership and direction in both the pre-sales and post-sales process to ensure customers realize value from GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform.
Coordinate closely with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Support, and strategic channel partners to design and execute account strategies that drive adoption, expansion, and retention.

Ensure successful rollout and ongoing adoption through proactive account management activities, regular business reviews, and clear alignment on customer outcomes.
Prepare and deliver accurate activity and forecast reports, and contribute to root cause analysis on wins and losses while sharing lessons learned with account managers, marketing, and technical teams.
Act as the voice of the customer by sharing feedback and product ideas, and use a consultative approach to create proposals, quotes, and presentations that clearly link GitLab’s solutions to customer business objectives.
What you'll bring
A true desire to see customers achieve meaningful outcomes and long-term value from their investment in GitLab.
Experience driving complex B2B software sales cycles with large enterprises, ideally in DevSecOps, software development tools, or adjacent SaaS solutions.
Proven success selling into large, strategic organizations, with the ability to build trusted relationships with C-level and senior stakeholders across business and technical teams.
Able to provide a high degree of account management and control, working under minimal supervision on complex opportunities while maintaining clear communication and alignment.

Experience collaborating with strategic channel partners to develop opportunities, co-sell, and support successful customer adoption.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills, with effective written and verbal communication that influences internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred experience with Git, software development tools, application lifecycle management, or security/application security tools.

Improve visibility and deliver insights into project economics, including rate cards, fully loaded costs, burden rates, project margin, fixed-fee budgets, utilization, and revenue recognition.
Partner with Finance, Sales, Customer Success, CX Engineering, Solutions Architecture, and Delivery to improve PSA, time-tracking, CRM, reporting, and related tooling.
Define requirements and lead process improvements, automations, and efficiency drivers across Professional Services, Operations, and newly integrated services teams.
Improve go-to-market alignment by tracking PS attach, connecting PS planning to account and renewal timelines, and enabling earlier PS involvement in deal strategy and account planning.
Partner cross functionally to deliver improvements in service catalog, pricing and packaging, SKU governance, and partner or channel delivery models.
Document processes, clarify roles and decision rights, and partner with Analytics to build self-service reporting that reduces dependencies of PS leadership for day-to-day execution.
What you’ll bring
10+ years’ experience in Professional Services Operations, Services Operations, Revenue Operations, or a related function in a technology or subscription business.
Deep understanding of PS business models, including time and materials, fixed-fee, and blended engagements.
Experience owning and developing forecasting and planning processes that connect sales pipeline to delivery capacity, staffing, bookings, and revenue.
Experience with resource management, utilization, project margin, delivery operations, PSA systems, or services go-to-market operations.
Experience leading process and systems improvements across evolving organizations.
Strong analytical, business judgment, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
A pragmatic, hands-on approach to solving ambiguous operational problems.
Hands-on experience with Kantata or a comparable Professional Services Automation (PSA) platform.
Ability to translate business requirements into system workflows, data definitions, reporting requirements, and automation opportunities.
Deep familiarity with revenue recognition processes and the systems partnership required between Professional Services and Finance.
Nice to have
Experience integrating two or more services organizations, operating models, or systems or driving operations transformation and maturity.
Experience improving PS attach, deal structuring, account planning, or services participation in the sales cycle.
Experience with partner, channel, or customer-funded delivery models.
Experience working in a distributed or all-remote organization.
