- Establish standards for merchandising, retail execution, product demonstration, inventory availability, and member acquisition.
- Identify opportunities to create new retail experiences and points of presence.
- Continuously evaluate distribution gaps relative to competitors.
STRATEGIC ACCOUNTS
- Build and maintain C-suite and senior executive relationships with the most important WHOOP retail and strategic partners.
- Lead negotiations for major commercial agreements, launches, exclusives, promotions, and strategic partnerships.
- Establish joint business plans with key accounts and hold partners accountable for agreed growth objectives.
- Develop relationships that go beyond transactional selling to create long-term strategic value for both WHOOP and its partners.
- Represent WHOOP externally with major customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
SALES PERFORMANCE & COMMERCIAL EXCELLENCE
- Deliver the North American sales target.
- Be accountable for sell-in, sell-through, inventory productivity, revenue, and membership acquisition.
- Establish rigorous sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance-management processes.
- Develop channel-level economics and ensure commercial decisions are grounded in contribution margin and lifetime value.
- Establish clear targets and KPIs for the sales organization and individual account teams.
- Identify and address performance gaps quickly.
- Build a culture of data-driven decision making and operational excellence.
GO-TO-MARKET & LAUNCH EXCELLENCE
- Partner with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Finance to deliver major product and membership launches.
- Develop channel-specific launch strategies that maximize awareness, distribution, availability, and conversion.
- Ensure sales organizations and retail partners are fully prepared for launches.
- Establish best practices for retail training, merchandising, demos, sampling, and consumer education.
- Ensure WHOOP maintains a consistent and premium brand experience across all channels.
TEAM LEADERSHIP
- Build and lead a high-performing North American sales organization.
- Define the appropriate organizational structure across key accounts, retail, channel development, sales operations, and strategic partnerships.
- Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional commercial talent.
- Establish a culture of high standards, accountability, urgency, and collaboration.
- Ensure the organization remains highly connected to global WHOOP commercial and functional teams.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP
- Partner closely with Marketing, Growth, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Product, Membership, and Customer Experience.
- Create a single North American commercial plan across functions.
- Ensure sales priorities are aligned with company-wide strategic objectives.
- Bring market, consumer, competitive, and retailer insights into global decision-making.
- Act as the voice of the North American customer and retail ecosystem within WHOOP.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED
- 15+ years of experience in sales, commercial leadership, or general management within consumer technology, consumer electronics, wearables, fitness, health technology, or another relevant premium consumer category.

As we continue to build a diverse and inclusive environment, we encourage anyone who is interested in this role to apply.

The Team
The UAE is one of our fastest-growing and most exciting markets. As Deliveroo continues to expand, we become a major revenue channel for partners across restaurant, grocery, and retail - aside from providing the best support, we are consultants that use data-driven insight and industry knowledge to help our partners grow in their industry. Our Account Management team oversees partner relationships - they are a passionate, dynamic group of team players that work well together and cross-functionally with other departments, and of course, they're fun.
We are looking for a Retail Account Manager to join our UAE New Verticals Team. This is a great opportunity to become a critical member in one of the fastest-growing divisions at Deliveroo and drive impact across our most exciting vertical. 'Deliveroo Shopping' (Retail) covers a wide range of categories from gifts, electronics, beauty, and stationery to pet accessories.
The Role
In this role, you will manage relationships with a number of our top National and SMB Retail/Non-food partners across a small variety of categories. You will be responsible for onboarding, maintaining, and growing the partnerships as well as being the day-to-day contact between partners and Deliveroo, communicating their needs to internal teams. You will be helping new partners to launch and succeed on the platform and grow existing business on the Deliveroo platform, developing the ‘best in class’ value proposition for our customers within a new and exciting area of our business.
What You’ll Be Doing
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Manage the relationship of our top Retail/Non-food partners, becoming the expert in this space as we scale
Driving partner performance by owning your portfolio’s business growth through proactive reporting, weekly/monthly/quarterly meetings and reviews, analysis, improvement projects, and identifying growth opportunities. You will work with both internal and external stakeholders to drive change and devise solutions to ensure issues are addressed and your accounts continue to grow.
Managing marketing and promotional planning for our Retail/Non-Food partners as they scale on the platform.
Ensuring that we are developing an ongoing attractive value proposition for customers, including selection, promotions, pricing, and service levels.
Working closely with compliance, legal, and operations to ensure best practices
Owning the execution of site roll-outs as we scale the proposition, mapping our gaps in coverage for partner expansion
Representing Deliveroo across your partner’s organisation, and ensuring that our internal stakeholders are supporting where appropriate.
What You'll Need To Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
3-4 years of experience in an account management, business development/new business, or commercial role.
Experience in working within the Retail and/or Pharmacy industry is required
Experienced negotiator with the ability to drive mutual value for both partners and Deliveroo
Partner obsessed, with effective relationship building, organisation, and communication skills, whether face to face, through video, phone, or email.
Confident working with and analysing data - able to cut through the noise to understand what performance improvements will help grow your Retail partners, in order to make clear and actionable recommendations.
Able to create ideas and strategies to drive the growth of our joint business with our partners, with a willingness to trial at pace.
Collaborative team player who is able to get the best out of the people around you. Able to work effectively with all levels of Deliveroo.
Experience working in a dynamic, high-growth company is preferable
