Location: Remote - Canada What We’re Building Honeycomb is a service for the near and present future, defining observability and raising expectations of what developer tools can do! We’re working with well known companies like HelloFresh, Slack, LaunchDarkly, and Vanguard and more across a range of industries. This is an exciting time in our trajectory, we’ve closed Series D funding, scaled past the 200-person mark, and were named to Forbes’ America’s Best Startups of 2022 and 2023! If you want to see what we’ve been up to, please check out these blog posts and Honeycomb.io press releases . Who We Are We come for the impact, and stay for the culture! We’re a talented, opinionated, passionate, fiercely inclusive, and responsible group of bees. We have conviction and we strive to live our values every day. We want our people to do what they truly love amongst a team of highly talented (but humble) peers. How We Work We are a fully distributed company, which means we believe it is not where you sit, but how you deliver that matters most. We invest in our people and care about how you orient to our culture and processes. At the same time we imbue a lot of trust, autonomy, and accountability from Day 1. #LI-Remote About the problem space AI has changed what's possible in go-to-market, support, and business operations. The constraint is no longer "can we build it" — it's "can we deploy it into a real workflow, prove it made things better, and keep it working." Most companies are stuck at the demo stage: a lot of clever prompting, very little that runs reliably on Tuesday morning without someone watching it. This role exists to get us past that, everywhere outside of engineering. Little more about the team: You'll sit on the Data team, which is where this work belongs. Our team already operates at the seam between the business and its systems — we partner daily with RevOps, Customer Success, Sales, and Product, and we own the data infrastructure these workflows depend on. AI-in-the-business is a data problem with a model attached, and you'll have the pipelines, the warehouse, and the domain relationships already in place. What you'll do You are a senior individual contributor. Your job is to take business workflows that are slow, manual, or inconsistent, and make them fast, automated, and measurably better — then do it again, and leave behind enough shared scaffolding that the third one is easier than the first. Ship automated workflows end to end Partner with department leaders to identify the highest-leverage workflows in their orgs, and go deep enough on how the work actually happens to know where a model helps and where it doesn't. Define success before you build: cycle time, quality, cost, risk. Instrument it. Report on it honestly, including when the answer is "this didn't work." Deliver working systems, not prototypes, with evaluation harnesses, human-in-the-loop review where the stakes call for it, and ongoing monitoring. Iterate on adoption the way a product manager would: user research, documentation, and a real plan for getting people to use the thing. Build the shared substrate as you go Establish patterns for model access, orchestration and agents, prompt and tool management, evaluation, logging, and cost control — derived from what real workflows needed, not designed in advance. Build on the Data team's existing infrastructure rather than standing up parallel systems. Co-own shared components with your counterpart in Engineering; identify dependencies early and bring them into partner roadmaps collaboratively. Make the company fluent Create templates, playbooks, and golden paths: prompt patterns, agent patterns, safety checklists, evaluation patterns. Run office hours, demos, and community-of-practice sessions that make adoption feel accessible rather than intimidating. Develop enablement material for distinct audiences — GTM, operations, leadership — from fundamentals through advanced workflows. Help people build judgment about AI: when to use it, when not to, and how to tell whether it worked. Keep it safe and governable Partner with Security, IT, and Legal on access control, data handling, vendor risk, and policy — so that employees have a clear, fast, safe path to experiment. Work with the Data team to apply our data classification standards to AI use cases: what data can be used for retrieval and context, and what audit trails are required when sensitive data flows through LLM pipelines. What you'll bring Deep experience shipping systems into real business workflows — you've owned something end to end, in production, that non-technical people depended on daily. Hands-on fluency with modern AI stacks: LLMs, retrieval, tool use and agents, evaluation, guardrails — plus the pragmatism to keep things shippable. The ability to learn someone else's job well enough to improve it. This role lives or dies on understanding how support, sales, or finance actually work. A track record of leading cross-functional initiatives without formal authority, bringing clarity, momentum, and crisp decision-making. Comfort navigating security, privacy, and compliance tradeoffs in real organizations: data classification, retention, access controls, vendor risk. Strong teaching instincts — you explain complex things simply, write clear docs, and meet people where they are. Demonstrated ability to stay current as the landscape shifts, and to change your mind in public when the evidence does. Nice to have SQL fluency and comfort in a modern data stack (dbt, a cloud warehouse, BI tooling). Experience with workflow automation or enterprise systems: case management, ticketing, CRM, knowledge bases. Familiarity with observability practices for AI systems: monitoring, quality signals, evaluation pipelines, cost and latency analysis. Change management experience across a distributed, multi-function company. Interest in external evangelism — writing, speaking, podcasts, peer groups. Base Salary based on level of experience $310,000 — $360,000 CAD What you'll get when you join the Hive: A stake in our success - generous equity with employee-friendly stock program It’s not about how strong of a negotiator you are - our pay is based on transparent levels relative to experience Time to recharge with unlimited PTO A distributed-first mindset and culture (really!) We’re working with well known companies like HelloFresh, Slack, LaunchDarkly, and Vanguard and more across a range of industries. #LI-Remote Little more about the team: Honeycomb is an observability platform that helps engineering teams understand how their software behaves in production. Our Tenant team is behind Honeycomb Private Cloud, a brand new product that allows customers to have their own Honeycomb instance. What you'll do Own delivery of Honeycomb Private Cloud — the infrastructure, tooling, and operational processes that let enterprise customers run Honeycomb inside their own cloud environment. Grow the product — we anticipate significant growth in the next year; help us meet sales goals and build relationships to support it. Work at the customer boundary — partner with Field Engineering, Support, and Sales on PoCs, security reviews, access negotiations, and contract asks, and help the team know when to take feedback and when to help us show the customer what good looks like. Lead across the org — Private Cloud depends on many engineering teams across the org. We maintain a tight drift between SaaS and Private Cloud, and this role will need to be able to understand and prioritize work that touches all parts of our engineering org. Feedback loops for developers. We learn a lot about Honeycomb as a product while building Honeycomb. Ensure that we push Private-Cloud-inspired tooling back into our SaaS infrastructure so each side continues to make the other better. Build the team — grow and develop a small, tenured, senior, very high-context team; remove the single points of failure that come with that; hire and onboard the next engineers to scale the team as the product offering scales. What we're looking for 3+ years as an Engineering manager for a highly technical, senior team. You have a solid track record as an engineer, influencing without authority, and leaving things better than you found them. You've managed or led a team that carried a real production on-call rotation, and you treat operational health as a core requirement. Experience shipping and operating software in environments you don't fully control — on-prem, private cloud, BYOC, or managed single-tenant. You know what version skew, partial telemetry, and customer security constraints do to a roadmap. Enough Kubernetes and AWS fluency to review a design, ask the challenging questions, and be useful in an incident review. You don't need to be the person writing the Terraform. Comfort being customer-facing with enterprise buyers: security questionnaires, access models, procurement, escalations. Ruthless prioritization on a small team with an enormous surface area — you can name what you decided not to do, and why. Hiring and onboarding engineers into a domain with a steep ramp. Comfort with AI tooling, and a point of view on where it helps and where it doesn't. Comfort being an escalation point for engineering emergencies as part of the Foundation leadership team Bonus points Familiarity with observability / OpenTelemetry (Honeycomb's domain). You're still hands-on and enjoy contributing to and reviewing code (welcome, but it won't be your primary role here). Background in Go, Terraform, Kafka, and large-scale data infrastructure. FedRAMP, GovCloud, or regulated-industry compliance experience. A field-adjacent past — solutions architecture, consulting, or deployment engineering. Base Salary based on level of experience $285,000 — $320,000 CAD What you'll get when you join the Hive: A stake in our success - generous equity with employee-friendly stock program It’s not about how strong of a negotiator you are - our pay is based on transparent levels relative to experience Time to recharge with unlimited PTO A distributed-first mindset and culture (really!) Home office, co-working, and internet stipend Full benefits coverage for employees, with additional coverage available for dependents Up to 16 weeks of paid parental leave, regardless of path to parenthood Annual development allowance And much more... Please note we cannot currently sponsor or support visa transfers at this time. Additionally, in compliance with applicable law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work. Phishing and Recruitment Scam Warning: We take your security seriously. Location: United States Workplace: Remote Manager, Commercial Operations We are looking for a Manager of Commercial Operations to build and run the transactional engine of the commercial function inside Revenue Operations. ClickHouse runs on a usage-based pricing model, and every deal – direct, marketplace, or partner – has to land correctly in the system: quoted against the right rules, ordered against the right contract structure, and booked cleanly enough that Accounting can bill and recognize it without rework. As we scale the cloud business and widen the product line, that path has to carry more volume, more products, and more deal structures without adding people to the middle of it. This role designs the systems, automation, and controls that make that possible. Reporting to the Director, Commercial Strategy & Operations, you will own the quote-to-order path and order management, along with the build behind it: the CPQ and quoting system requirements, the automation, the validation and controls, and marketplace transaction operations across AWS, GCP, and Azure. The goal is a commercial path where the standard deal is self-service for the field, quality is enforced by the system rather than by who touched the deal, and human review is reserved for the cases that genuinely need judgment. You will be measured by how fast and how cleanly a deal moves, how little intervention it requires, and how good the experience is for the rep. You will partner daily with Sales, Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Revenue Engineering. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING - Own order management and automate it. Run the intake, review, and processing of quotes, order forms, and bookings to defined SLAs through quarter-end peaks, and continuously engineer the manual steps out of that path. - Design the quote-to-order flow. Instrument the process, find where it slows or breaks, and redesign it. You own the architecture of the flow, the exception routing, and the automation that makes the standard case hands-off. - Own the quoting and order management system build. Write the requirements, design the quoting, validation, and approval logic, drive the roadmap with Revenue Engineering, run UAT, and validate every change in production before the field sees it. - Own the handoff into billing and revenue. Partner with Accounting so that what leaves your process arrives structured, complete, and reconcilable – and build the controls upstream that keep downstream rework from happening at all. - Build quality in as controls. Validation rules, guided quoting, required-field logic, and automated reconciliation that make an incorrect order hard to submit in the first place. - Own the field experience of transacting. Treat the rep as the customer: fewer steps, fewer handoffs, shorter quote cycle time, and a standard path that is obvious and self-service. Measure whether it is getting easier. - Build and run marketplace transaction operations across AWS, GCP, and Azure. Private offers, CSP transactions, co-sell mechanics, and the tooling and automated reconciliation that keep marketplace bookings tied out across the marketplace, Salesforce, and billing. - Operationalize commercial review. Encode approval rules and guardrails in the system so routine deals route themselves, and escalate the structures that break the system rather than quietly processing them. - Build the transaction path for new products and acquisitions. Stand up order management, quoting, and the marketplace path for new offerings and newly acquired products, test the flow through to booking before go-live, and be ready to transact on day one. - Own the integrity of the commercial record. Products, SKUs, pricing, contract terms, and booking attributes in Salesforce, with the controls and monitoring that keep them clean – the forecast and revenue reporting downstream depend on it. - Instrument and report on the system you own. Cycle time, touch count, SLA attainment, exception and discount volumes, error and rework rates. Use the data to decide what gets built next. WHAT YOU BRING ALONG - 6+ years in commercial operations, deal desk, order management, sales operations, or revenue operations, including time owning a high-volume transactional process. - A track record of building, not just running. You have replaced a manual process with a designed one and can point to the automation, the controls, and the measured result. - Hands-on depth in Salesforce and Salesforce CPQ. You write requirements, design quoting and approval logic, configure and test it yourself, and can tell a configuration problem from a process problem. - Technical range beyond the admin console: flows and validation logic, API-based and marketplace integrations, and scripting or SQL to reconcile and investigate data at volume. You can partner with Revenue Engineering as a peer on design. - Experience with usage-based or consumption-based contracts: metering, commits, overages, contract structure, and the downstream billing and revenue recognition implications. - Experience operating across a shared quote-to-cash process. You know where order management ends and Accounting begins, and you design the handoff so neither side is cleaning up after the other. - Marketplace operations experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure – private offers, CSP transactions, and reconciliation – strongly preferred. - Process-engineering instincts. You instrument before you optimize, design for the standard case and route the exception, and measure by throughput and error rate rather than activity. - A bias toward field experience. You have made a transactional process materially faster or simpler for a sales team and can describe how you knew it worked. - Comfort partnering with Accounting, Finance, and Legal on order form and contract mechanics. - Sound judgment under deal pressure. You can hold the line on a structure that breaks the system, and advocate for the field when the exception is justified. - Clear written and verbal communication. You can explain a commercial rule to a rep in one paragraph and brief leadership on what's at risk at quarter-end. - Experience managing or mentoring analysts a plus; this role is expected to grow a team as volume scales. - Bachelor's degree, quantitative or technical field preferred. PERKS - Flexible work environment - ClickHouse is a globally distributed company and remote-friendly. We currently operate in over 25 countries. - Healthcare - Employer contributions towards your healthcare. - Equity in the company - Every new team member who joins our company receives stock options. - Time off - Flexible time off in the US, generous entitlement in other countries. - A USD$500 Home office setup if you’re a remote employee. - Global Gatherings – We believe in the power of in-person connection and offer opportunities to engage with colleagues at company-wide offsites. Location: New York; San Francisco Workplace: OnSite ABOUT US: AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL. Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now. Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. Location: US, Boston, MA Workplace: OnSite Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 - our rapidly developed humanoid platform being deployed in real industrial environments - and we’re growing the team to take it even further. ABOUT THE ROLE As our Inventory Specialist, you'll make sure our engineers always have the right parts, in the right place, at the right time. You will run day-to-day receiving, storage, stock control, cycle counting and kitting for the hardware side of a small, fast-moving team of around 40 engineers building cutting-edge humanoid robots. site, keeping material flowing accurately into prototype builds. This is a senior individual-contributor role: we need someone competent and self-directed who can run the site’s stores with minimal supervision. WHAT YOU'LL DO Boston Site Focus - Be the first dedicated hands-on warehouse resource in Boston, setting up and organizing the stores area, location structure and labelling, and supporting the site’s prototype builds with accurate receiving, storage and kitting. - Get the site’s prototype material ready for builds, working with the SCM Lead Boston and the local Senior Buyer on inbound material and priorities, including long lead-time items, so shortages are flagged early. - Keep stock records and inventory reporting aligned with the other Humanoid sites so material can be seen and planned globally, and help shape how the site tracks inventory as it grows. - Follow OSHA and applicable Massachusetts workplace safety requirements, including safe handling and storage of materials. Goods Receiving & Put-away - Receive inbound deliveries from suppliers, carriers and 3PL partners; check paperwork against the purchase order and inspect goods for damage, shortages or non-conformance. - Record goods receipts accurately on the day of arrival in JIRA and the site’s inventory tracking sheets, and put material away to the correct, labelled location. - Segregate and record quarantined, rejected and non-conforming stock, and support the return-to-supplier process with the SCM and quality teams. - Handle ESD-sensitive, high-value, serialized and lot-controlled components with the care they need, maintaining traceability from receipt to build. Inventory Control & Stock Accuracy - Run daily and weekly cycle counts to the global schedule, investigate variances at root cause, and record adjustments with proper authorization. - Own stock accuracy for the site: keep physical stock, inventory records and locations in agreement, and report accuracy KPIs to the SCM Lead and global WILP team. - Set, review and maintain minimum / maximum (safety stock) levels for the site’s consumables, common parts and high-usage items, working with the SCM Lead and the planning team, and raise replenishment requests before stock runs short. - Support periodic and year-end stocktakes, and flag ageing, excess, obsolete or slow-moving stock early. - Keep every movement (transfers, issues, returns, scrap) recorded in JIRA and the inventory sheets in real time, so no stock goes untracked. - Use Excel or Google Sheets, and AI tools where they help, to build and maintain count plans, stock reports and variance analysis, and to automate repetitive tracking tasks. Material Movement, Kitting & Build Support - Pick, stage and deliver kits to the build area against BOM and build schedule, and check kits are complete and correct before release. - Respond to urgent pick requests and shortages from engineering and production, and give procurement and planning a clear, early view of material gaps. - Manage material issues to builds and returns of unused material back to stock, with accurate records throughout. - Move material between storage, kitting, build and test areas safely using pallet trucks and other manual handling. Dispatch, Returns & Inter-site Transfers - Prepare outbound shipments, supplier returns and rework loops, and arrange collection with carriers or 3PL partners. - Prepare accurate shipping and customs paperwork for parts and sub-assemblies moving between Humanoid sites (London, Boston and Vancouver), working with the Logistics team so shipments clear without delay. - Track inbound and outbound shipments and chase delays before they affect builds. Site Operations, Safety & Continuous Improvement - Keep the stores area clean, organised, safe and compliant with local health and safety requirements. - Maintain location structure, labelling and storage layout, and apply 5S principles. - Support the site asset register by tagging, locating and verifying tools, fixtures and equipment held in stores, and keeping custody and location records up to date. Ownership of the master asset list sits outside this role. - Suggest and help implement practical improvements to receiving, storage, kitting and counting processes, and follow global warehouse and inventory SOPs. - Cover the site’s warehouse needs independently, and escalate issues that need SCM Lead or global WILP support in good time. Expectations - Work with a high degree of autonomy, setting your own daily priorities with minimal supervision. - Act as the site’s subject-matter expert for receiving, stock control and kitting, and a go-to person for colleagues in engineering, production and procurement. - Train, coach and support colleagues and temporary or contract staff on warehouse processes and inventory tracking. - Help build, document and improve the site’s warehouse processes as the team grows. - Not a people-management role: you will set the standard and lead by example on site. - On-site role in a warehouse and stores environment, including standing, walking and regular manual handling (lifting up to 23 kg / 50 lb, with equipment available for heavier loads). WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Essential Experience & Skills - 4+ years of proven hands-on experience in a warehouse, stores or inventory control role, ideally in manufacturing, electronics, robotics, aerospace, automotive or a prototype/R&D build environment. - Practical, hands-on use of Excel or Google Sheets (formulas, lookups, pivots, simple dashboards) and the confidence to use AI tools to make stock tracking and reporting faster and more accurate. - Experience of cycle counting and stock reconciliation, including investigating and resolving variances. - Experience of kitting and material issue to production against BOMs, and the ability to read a BOM and drawings. - Comfortable using Slack and collaborating digitally with remote teams. - Able to work safely in a physical warehouse environment, including regular lifting and moving of materials with or without reasonable accommodation. - Some flexibility in working hours may be needed to support urgent builds and time-critical deliveries. Qualifications & Site Requirements - Degree or diploma in supply chain, logistics, business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; a warehouse or logistics certificate is a plus. - OSHA 10-hour general industry training is an advantage. - Awareness of U.S. DOT hazardous materials shipping requirements is an advantage. - Legally authorised to work in the United States. Desirable - Experience in a small, fast-moving or start-up environment where processes are still being built. - Experience of JIRA or a similar ticketing system, or of an ERP or warehouse management system. Not required: full training on our JIRA-based processes will be given. - Familiarity with handling lithium batteries and other regulated or hazardous components. - Exposure to working with 3PL providers, carriers and import/export documentation. - Lean or 5S training, or an inventory/warehouse qualification such as APICS CPIM or an equivalent. Behavioral Skills - Ownership and reliability: you finish what you start and you are accurate every time. - Methodical, organized and detail-focused, with a strong sense of accuracy and compliance. - Clear, proactive communication with engineering, production, procurement and the London-based leadership team across time zones. - Comfortable working independently and sound judgement on when to escalate. - Flexible and practical in a fast-paced, changing environment, with willingness to support build peaks. - A problem-solving mindset and a positive, hands-on attitude. WHAT WE OFFER - Comprehensive health coverage for US‑based employees, including fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, with virtual care and employee assistance resources. - Meaningful time off to rest and recharge: 23 days of PTO (accrued), separate sick leave, and paid company holidays. - 401(k) retirement plan with 4% employer match. - Competitive equity: stock options with meaningful upside as we scale. - Free daily catered lunch, snacks, and drinks in‑office. - Collaboration with top‑tier engineers, researchers, and product experts in AI and robotics. - Freedom to influence the product and own key initiatives. For this role in Massachusetts, the expected base salary range is $60K–$80K USD per year; your placement in that range depends on how your experience maps to our internal leveling.
