About Flosum
Flosum is the only end-to-end platform purpose-built for Salesforce — trusted by Fortune 1000 enterprises, federal agencies, and high-growth organizations around the world. Our five integrated products — DevOps, Security Orchestration, CodeScan, Backup & Archive, and Data Migrator — give enterprises the confidence to accelerate delivery, simplify compliance, and scale Salesforce with precision.
Founded in Silicon Valley and proudly self-funded, Flosum operates on a single guiding principle: your success is our success. We’re not optimizing for investor optics. We move fast, build with conviction, and put our customers at the center of every decision. The result is a 4.97-star rating on the Salesforce AppExchange and a customer roster that includes Cargill, Hilton, Cushman & Wakefield, and some of the largest federal agencies in the country. We serve enterprise IT leaders, Salesforce architects, DevOps teams, compliance officers, and government agencies — anyone whose organization depends on Salesforce operating securely, efficiently, and at scale.
The Opportunity
Flosum is at an inflection point. We have multiple product lines gaining traction across enterprise and mid-market segments, four active go-to-market motions — outbound sales, inbound/marketing-led, channel/partners, and product-led growth — and a lean, high-performing team that moves with urgency. What we need now is the operating infrastructure to match our
ambition. We’re hiring a Director of Revenue Operations to be the architect of our revenue engine: the person who transforms disconnected GTM motions into a single, data-driven, capital-efficient machine. This is a builder role — not a maintainer role. You will design systems that don’t yet exist, enforce standards that currently aren’t enforced, and build the reporting infrastructure that makes every decision at Flosum smarter. This role reports directly to the CEO and is the highest-leverage operations hire we will make. You will touch every dollar of pipeline, every GTM motion, and every customer-facing team.
What You’ll Own
1. Data, Reporting & Forecasting — Your Primary Mandate
Your first 90 days are about establishing truth. Flosum runs on Salesforce, Marketo, and Gong.io. You will audit each, identify where data integrity breaks down, and rebuild the foundation:
Design and own the forecasting architecture: weighted pipeline using actual historical conversion rates, forecast categories (Commit, Best Case, Upside), and a weekly cadence that drives ±10% accuracy within two quarters
Build a standardized reporting hierarchy from the CEO’s decision-making needs down to frontline dashboards — eliminating the proliferation of reports nobody trusts Implement Salesforce data governance: mandatory stage-exit criteria, validation rules,
controlled picklists, and loss-reason capture on every Closed Lost opportunity Segment reporting and forecasting by GTM motion — PLG self-serve revenue behaves differently from enterprise outbound and must be modeled and tracked separately
Build and maintain the unit economics dashboard: CAC by motion, CAC payback period, LTV:CAC ratio, Magic Number, NRR/GRR, and S&M efficiency trends
2. Marketing Performance & Marketo Operations
You don’t run campaigns — you govern the infrastructure that makes marketing measurable and accountable:
Own the full lead lifecycle in Marketo: definitions, entry/exit criteria, and scoring model governance (with separate demographic and behavioral scores calibrated monthly against SQL conversion rates)
Own Marketo-Salesforce sync governance: field mapping audits, sync log review, and API consumption monitoring
Own multi-touch attribution: first-touch, last-touch, and influence models consistently applied across all four GTM motions
Build and enforce speed-to-lead SLAs and SAL acceptance standards; build recycle plays for disqualified leads
Monitor and report marketing funnel performance — lead volume, MQL-to-SQL conversion, channel efficiency, and marketing-sourced vs. marketing-influenced pipeline — and escalate anomalies before they show up in quarterly misses
3. Sales Process Governance
You are the steward of how Flosum’s revenue actually gets created — not a gatekeeper, but the person who builds the standards:
Design and enforce stage definitions with mandatory exit criteria; build deal desk processes for non-standard pricing and terms
Own territory design, quota allocation methodology, and annual capacity planning — including ramp rates, hiring timelines, and coverage ratio targets by segment
Run the weekly pipeline review cadence with sales leadership: stage conversion anomalies, stale deals, and forecast accuracy
Design compensation plans that drive the right behaviors across all four GTM motions — with clear rules of engagement for multi-touch deals where outbound, inbound, PLG, and partner motions converge on the same account
4. Enablement Execution Through Gong.io
At Flosum, enablement has historically been about delivery — training sessions, playbooks, messaging. You will own the other half: measurement and execution. After any messaging launch or methodology change, you will:
Create Gong AI Trackers for the specific language, frameworks, and discovery questions reps should be using — and build adoption dashboards segmented by rep, team, and region
Surface the gap between what was trained and what is actually happening on calls, and work with sales managers to close it with specific, Gong-sourced coaching examples
Use Gong deal boards for pipeline inspection: multi-threading health, next-steps coverage, competitor mentions, and conversation-based risk signals layered onto CRM data
Build the feedback loop: Enablement trains → Gong measures → RevOps reports gaps → Managers coach with specific call evidence → Enablement iterates. Without this loop, enablement is a cost center. With it, it’s a growth driver.
5. GTM Alignment Across All Four Motions
Running outbound, inbound, channel, and PLG simultaneously creates real operational complexity. You will design the systems that prevent chaos:
Build account-level ownership rules and real-time routing logic to prevent motion collisions (e.g., SDRs prospecting into accounts already working inbound MQLs, AEs working accounts with active PLG users)
Design PQL routing logic with product usage trigger thresholds, account-level checks, and comp plan rules for sales-assisted PLG conversions
Build deal registration governance and conflict resolution SLAs for the partner channel
Own separate Opportunity Record Types per motion in Salesforce with unified roll-up reporting
Run a monthly cross-functional GTM alignment meeting with sales, marketing, CS, and partner leadership — reviewing funnel health per motion and resolving ownership disputes before they fester
What This Role Is Not
We want to be honest about scope. A great RevOps leader at Flosum will push back when the role is being misused:
You will implement an intake process, maintain a visible quarterly roadmap of four to five initiatives, and force trade-off conversations when new requests arrive. You say “not now” to good ideas that aren’t the most important idea.
This is not sales operations with a rebrand. You serve the company, not any single department leader. Your loyalty is to revenue truth — even when the forecast is uncomfortable to present.
Metrics You’ll Own
Pipeline & Forecasting
Forecast accuracy (±10% target within two quarters)
Pipeline coverage by segment (3× SMB, 4× mid-market, 5× enterprise)
Pipeline velocity: (Opportunities × Deal Size × Win Rate) ÷ Cycle Length, targeting +10% improvement QoQ
Stage-to-stage conversion rates trended over time
Marketing (Marketo)
Lead-to-MQL, MQL-to-SQL, SQL-to-Opportunity, and Opportunity-to-Close rates by motion and channel
Marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline (targets: 30–50% sourced, 50–70% influenced)
Lead velocity rate (month-over-month qualified lead growth)
Speed-to-lead SLA compliance and SAL acceptance rate
Sales (Salesforce + Gong)
Win rates by segment and motion
Quota attainment distribution across the team (healthy target: 70–75% of reps at quota)
Average selling price trends and discounting rate
Sales cycle length by segment
Enablement (Gong)
Gong tracker adoption rates for key messaging and methodology by rep, team, and region
Talk-to-listen ratios and topic coverage by deal stage
Multi-threading indicators per deal stage
Unit Economics
CAC and CAC payback period by GTM motion
LTV:CAC ratio by customer segment (target ≥3:1)
Magic Number (Net New ARR × 4 ÷ prior quarter S&M spend; target >1.0)
Net Revenue Retention and Gross Revenue Retention
S&M as % of revenue (tracking toward 35% as we scale)
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
5–10+ years in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or GTM Operations in a B2B SaaS environment
Direct experience operating across multiple GTM motions simultaneously (outbound, inbound, channel, and/or PLG)
Hands-on Salesforce configuration experience — you can build Flows, design the data model, and implement validation rules without delegating everything to a developer
Marketo (or equivalent marketing automation) operational experience: lifecycle architecture, lead scoring, and Marketo-Salesforce sync governance
Gong.io (or equivalent conversation intelligence tool) experience: tracker creation, coaching dashboards, and deal inspection
Demonstrated experience building a forecasting methodology from scratch — not just inheriting one
Financial modeling comfort: unit economics, capacity planning, quota modeling, and comp plan design
Experience at a company with $15M–$75M in ARR; you have built things with your hands, not just directed others to build them
Strongly Preferred
Experience in the Salesforce ecosystem (ISV, SI, or AppExchange partner) — you understand our buyers, our competitive landscape, and our channel dynamics
Experience designing and governing partner/channel ops within a multi-motion GTMmodel
SQL proficiency or experience with a BI tool (Tableau, Looker, Sigma, or equivalent)
Prior experience designing and administering sales compensation plans
The Mindset We’re Hiring For
You Are a Builder
You ask “Why does this exist, and should we rebuild it?” before touching a tool. You ship minimum viable systems and iterate
relentlessly rather than designing perfect architectures that never launch.
You Are Company-First
Your loyalty is to revenue truth, not to any individual department leader. You present the forecast even when it’s uncomfortable. You push back when requests don’t serve the company’s priorities.
You Are a Systems Thinker
You see the revenue engine as an interconnected system. Changing lead scoring
You Are Cost-Conscious
You evaluate every tool, hire, and program through a unit economics lens. You resist “just thresholds ripples into pipeline coverage. Changing stage definitions changes forecast accuracy. You trace causes, not just symptoms add a tool” thinking. Flosum is self-funded and profitable — efficiency isn’t a constraint, it’s a competitive advantage.

- Manage the Shop: Maintain an organised prototyping shop and parts inventory, including fasteners, connectors and components.
- Feed Back to Design: Document build issues and feed practical build, assembly and serviceability feedback directly into design decisions.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Background in mechanical/mechatronic engineering, technician training, or equivalent hands-on hardware experience, with 2-4 years' experience prototyping physical hardware or robotics products.
- Practical skills with 3D printing, hand tools, basic machining, soldering and cable/harness assembly.
- Ability to prototype quickly with MCU platforms (e.g. ESP32, Raspberry Pi and similar), plus basic breadboarding and circuit assembly skills.
- Comfortable reading CAD drawings and BOMs and translating them into a physical build; any level of CAD design capability is a plus.
- Experience building test rigs and supporting hardware testing, trials or demos of prototype hardware.
- A practical, get-it-working mindset with good organisational habits, comfortable in a high-paced, iterative environment.
Nice to have
- Any level of CAD design capability — not just reading drawings, but creating or modifying simple parts/fixtures
- Basic electronics debugging skills (multimeter, continuity checks, simple rework)
- Experience assembling wearable or compact electromechanical devices
- Experience in a robotics or hardware startup lab environment
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive equity: stock options with meaningful upside as we scale.
- 30+ paid days off, including 23 days of annual leave, all UK bank holidays, and additional company closure days (including Christmas–New Year shutdown).
- Private healthcare, including virtual and in-person care.
- Pension scheme with 8% total contribution (5% employee, 3% employer) on full earnings.
- Free daily breakfast, catered lunch, and snacks in-office.
- Work at the frontier - collaborate daily with world-class engineers, researchers, and product experts building the next generation of AI and humanoid robotics.
- Real ownership - direct access to founding leadership, meaningful input on product direction, and the ability to drive key initiatives from day one.

GiveWell’s mission is to help people in need as much as we can by researching the most cost‑effective ways to save and improve lives, sharing our work openly, and directing donations to the programs we believe will do the most good. Our work, which focuses on global health and well-being, is funded by tens of thousands of donors who rely on our research to inform their giving. We’ve grown from directing $1.5 million in 2010 to directing more than $400 million in 2025. We anticipate our total grantmaking is likely to approach or even exceed $1 billion this year, and we are working toward a future that could be several times that scale. Through years of deliberate groundwork, we’ve been growing our research capacity and scope in order to direct substantially more funding to the most impactful opportunities we can find.
Summary
GiveWell is seeking a Cause Prioritization Lead to own and improve our cause prioritization process, develop a portfolio of early-stage grants across emerging cause areas, and rapidly respond to promising new opportunities that are unusual for GiveWell, do not fit with our existing grantmaking teams and may require innovative approaches to investigation.
As part of our lean research team, you will have an outsized influence on our funding decisions and help us save and improve lives on a global scale. You’ll create and lead ambitious research agendas, answer complex questions, and inform high-impact grantmaking decisions by combining rigorous evidence review, cost-effectiveness modeling, and thoughtful judgment.
The Cause Prioritization lead will join GiveWell at Senior Program Officer level. You will build a sub-team within the New Areas team and will report to our New Areas team lead.
The role
As Cause Prioritization Lead, you will be an intellectual leader of GiveWell’s work in new domains. In this role, you will build and lead a new sub-team within GiveWell's New Areas team. You will be responsible for:
Improving our cause prioritization process to identify promising emerging areas for grantmaking; ensuring that process combines evidence, cost-effectiveness modelling and our own judgement, and is continuously responsive to new information and external feedback.
Overseeing a portfolio of grant investigations and grant management in each of the highest priority emerging cause areas, and starting to build a research agenda including identifying ways to learn about key uncertainties through the initial grants that we make.
Communicating externally about our work and building a network of people across implementers, funders, and academia whose expertise span a broad range of cause areas, to help source new ideas.
Managing a team to execute these goals, and supporting the professional development of other team members. Creating a culture that is agile and willing to respond to new and unusual opportunities.
Directly investigating more complicated grantmaking opportunities yourself. This could include investigating types of programs that are newer to GiveWell; for example, programs earlier in the product development cycle or programs to support government prioritization and planning.
In the course of your work, you might approach questions like these:
How can we source new grantmaking opportunities in fields in which we don't have an established presence, and how can we make sure we hear from a range of implementers, not just those we've worked with before?
How much uncertainty are we willing to accept before making a grant, which questions do we need to answer before making a grant, and which ones can we deprioritize or answer later?
What research we can fund today that could substantially impact our grantmaking five years from now?
How should we balance exploring and seeding new, smaller opportunities with funding cost-effective opportunities at scale today?
How can we ensure that we identify new funding gaps opened up by changes in other donors' priorities?
How can we triangulate empirical evidence against expert opinion on other qualitative features, like organizational track record?
How can we estimate the probability that a new health commodity comes to market in low and middle income countries, and on what timeline, at what scale?
How can we model the cost-effectiveness of a horizontal program which has benefits across a diffuse set of health outcomes?
Team structure
Our research department is currently organized into eight teams:
Five of the teams (Water, Livelihoods, Nutrition, Malaria, and Vaccines) focus on specific areas of grantmaking.
The Cross-Cutting team focuses on methodological issues, research quality, and other big-picture concerns that cut across all of our research work.
The Commons team provides generalized research support to each of the other teams, including landscaping research, vetting, and publishing.
The New Areas team focuses on interventions in domains that are new to GiveWell.
The New Areas team is currently a 9-person team within an overall research department of ~80 people, and focuses on interventions in domains that are new to GiveWell. Our work is divided into three main workstreams. Grantmaking in emerging cause areas, as well as the process for and identification of new cause areas for that portfolio, would be the primary responsibility of the Cause Prioritization Lead.
Core cause areas:
this is the set of cause areas for which the New Areas team devotes a significant amount of time developing subject-matter specific expertise and networks, a thorough research agenda, and a relatively large portfolio of grants across a mix of implementers and interventions. This portfolio currently includes our work on maternal and newborn health, family planning, tuberculosis, HIV and medical oxygen.
Emerging cause areas:
this is a broader set of cause areas for which the New Areas team is starting to build its expertise, networks and research agenda, and is making some initial grants. As our work in these areas becomes more mature, they could graduate to become a core cause area. In addition to new cause areas, this portfolio may include work on types of intervention that are new to GiveWell which could have applications across our teams: recent examples include market shaping, health systems strengthening and applications of AI to global health.
Incubators:
we support other organisations to identify potentially cost-effective interventions and create programs that we would be excited to support in the future (e.g., the
Clinton Health Access Initiative’s Incubator
). For example, we funded a program to provide diarrhea treatment to children in Nigeria that we co-designed with CHAI through the Incubator program. Some of this work could fall under the remit of the Cause Prioritization Lead where it overlaps with our emerging cause areas.
Team values
We think our research team has unique qualities:
We care deeply about finding and sharing truth.
Truth-seeking is one of our
core values
. We post
our mistakes
and we prize our team members who keep our culture of free-flowing feedback strong.
We are independent.
We focus 100% on finding the most cost-effective opportunities to save and improve lives. Our researchers assist in communicating our research findings to the public and our donors, and on occasion we provide tailored advice to ultra-high-net-worth donors who want to rely on our expertise to direct their giving—but we never ask our researchers to trade off against honesty, or to hide their real beliefs.
We don’t waste time.
Once it’s clear that a particular research question is unlikely to change our bottom-line funding recommendation, we drop it as quickly as possible. We encourage our research staff to constantly re-evaluate their portfolios and only work on the highest-priority questions.
Lean research team = huge personal impact.
In 2026,
our research team of ~80 people is directing close to 1 billion dollars and we expect grantmaking dollars per research team member to increase in the future.
We work well together.
Our research team is lean because we’re able to attract top-tier people, all of whom complete skills-based assessments before joining our staff. We maintain a high-performing, collegial culture and pay our staff accordingly.
About you
The Cause Prioritization lead must have quantitatively-oriented advanced degrees and substantial relevant experience using empirical tools to make rigorous, evidence-based decisions in the real world. Practically, our senior research staff typically has 5-10 years of post-grad work experience prior to joining GiveWell. We're happy to consider applicants who do not have advanced degrees, but we'll look for a commensurate amount of relevant experience. You can review our staff bios
here
for more practical insight on the backgrounds and experience of our current team.
We expect that people with the soft qualities below will be the most successful and happy on our team. This isn’t a full list, but hopefully it conveys the gist of our team’s professional personality:
GiveWell’s mission and methods are personally energizing—you like our approach to research and you find personal meaning in our story of impact.
You’re unusually curious—you ask lots of questions, and you're willing to interrogate others' work. Your curiosity also extends to your own work, and you aren’t defensive when your research comes under scrutiny.
You're a generalist and agile —you are able to get up to speed quickly on new topics and you feel comfortable task-switching. You are comfortable pivoting your focus as we learn new information, and are continuously reassessing promisingness.
You're a strong strategic thinker. You find ways to impose structure on a broad and undefined problem (e.g., how should your team prioritise work across a huge range of potential cause areas), you can develop and articulate a vision to your team, and build processes to execute that vision.
You're excited by people management. You take other team members' professional development seriously, and can provide a supportive environment whilst also delivering constructive feedback.
You're able to quickly hone in on the crux of the argument when assessing other people's work, probing on the most decision-relevant assumptions even in fields where you have limited contextual knowledge.
You're entrepreneurial. When you see a gap, you want to fill it, whether that's designing a new program, finding an implementer, or setting up a new kind of funding mechanism. You make bets under uncertainty.
You routinely think about and surface the value judgments, background knowledge, and strategic commitments that underlie your work. You understand the potential effects of mistaken mental models, so you strive to improve yours and your team’s.
You dislike it when people express strong confidence in views that don’t seem to rely on commensurate evidence. You carefully and legibly communicate about your confidence levels.
You appreciate the value of an excellent reputation and strong relationships. You can moderate your directness and intensity when you’re communicating with external folks.
You love a
gnarly problem
. You figure out the most important questions to answer, go deep on the details where they matter (and move on where they don’t), and reassess your mental models based on what you’ve learned.

About GiveWell
GiveWell is dedicated to finding and evaluating highly cost-effective global health and development opportunities, and we publish all the work, reasoning, and uncertainties behind our funding decisions. Our
giving funds
enable donors to contribute to the most impactful and cost-effective programs our researchers identify.
GiveWell is one of the world’s largest private funders of global development efforts. Trusted annually by tens of thousands of donors, GiveWell searches for highly cost-effective programs that save or improve lives the most. Since 2007, more than 150,000 donors have given over $2.6 billion through GiveWell to the most promising programs its research has identified, which we estimate will save more than
340,000 lives
.
GiveWell is most well-known for recommending a small number of
Top Charities
, which currently support
seasonal malaria chemoprevention
,
insecticide-treated nets
,
vaccine incentivization
, and
vitamin A supplementation
. However, most of our research capacity and grantmaking is devoted to
cost-effective opportunities outside of those programs
.
GiveWell
grants
have:
Helped governments
navigate changes to the funding landscape
and implement high-impact health programs, like
HIV/syphilis screening and treatment
for pregnant people in Zambia and Cameroon.
Sought to scope and scale promising interventions that don’t have clear existing implementers. We are supporting the
Clinton Health Access Initiative’s Incubator
to identify potentially cost-effective interventions and create programs that we would be excited to support in the future. For example, we
funded a program
to prevent tuberculosis among young children in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, India, that we co-designed with CHAI through the Incubator program.
Provided funding to ensure that programs that recently faced foreign aid funding cuts could continue, like
healthcare support and malnutrition treatment
in northern Cameroon.
Funded program delivery alongside strengthened monitoring and evaluation, as in our grants to support
treatment of clubfoot
and to
evaluate the program
.
Tested our
assumptions and refined our understanding
through further research and data collection, including
improved estimates of disease burden
and studies on
the effect of water chlorination on mortality
and
the impact of a tree-planting program on farmers’ income
.
We make our reasoning public and transparent so others can challenge it (sometimes we even
pay people to point out our errors
). We go to unusual lengths to check our assumptions and assess our impact, including
funding research
to address our uncertainties and gathering
independent monitoring and evaluation data
about the programs we support. We
change
our minds when the evidence demands it. For more about GiveWell, listen to Ezra Klein’s

We don’t want to miss candidates that could do great things at GiveWell. Practically, that means a GiveWell staff member reviews every application carefully, considering the whole picture of your background and potential. WHO ARE WE?
Cohere is the leading security-first enterprise AI company. We build cutting-edge foundation AI models and end-to-end products that are designed to solve real-world business problems.
We’re training and deploying frontier models for enterprises who are building AI systems. We believe that our work is instrumental to the widespread adoption of AI and we are looking for folks that want to be part of that.
We obsess over what we build. Each one of us is responsible for contributing to increasing the capabilities of our models and the value they drive for our customers. Cohere is a team of researchers, engineers, designers, and more, who are all passionate about their craft.
We are a global technology company headquartered in Toronto with key offices in London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul. Join us!
Role Overview:
Building AI agents that can assist with any kind of enterprise work is a challenging, open-ended problem. One key piece of solving it is replicating real work environments as realistically as possible - filling them with hard tasks to solve, creating plausible input data, and defining clear rewards for completing the work the right way. We build many of these reinforcement learning (RL) environments, then drop our agents into them to evaluate or train them.
In this role, you are responsible for creating these RL environments, running AI agents inside them, and improving both the agents and the environments in the process. The results reach customers, whose feedback feeds back in - and the agent/environment improvement loop continues.
Key Responsibilities:
There are many open problems in this space. As a Member of Technical Staff, RL Environments, you will:
- Build new RL environments targeting different agentic capabilities and industry areas
- Train and evaluate agents in those environments
- Make all the pieces work together: tasks, data, tool implementations, and verifiers
- Work across modeling and product to identify gaps in agent performance, and improve both the agents and the environments
- Work with external vendors to create high-quality, expert-built RL environments, and build tools to ensure high task, data, and verifier quality
- Automate the discovery of model capability gaps, and systematically measure agent performance during evals and training
Qualifications:
You may be a good fit if:
- You have engineered agents and optimized them for specific industry use cases
- You have spent dozens of hours reviewing agent trajectories to pinpoint exact failure points and fix them with model training or harness engineering
- You obsess over measuring agentic capabilities and turning that into a repeatable process
- You have had many debates about what a good outcome from an AI agent should look like, you translated that into verifier implementations and tuned the reward designs
- You have designed and run annotation workflows to surface insights into agent performance and verify data quality
- You have built synthetic data pipelines to scale eval and training efforts
- You use agents yourself in your daily work, and have stories about how you improved your setup to 10x your productivity
- A plus: you have experience with training with RL: scaling, troubleshooting and tuning the environments
If some of the above doesn’t line up perfectly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply.
Working Location:
This role can be based remotely or from one of our office locations listed on the job description - there is no minimum in-office qualification requirement. We care most about hiring exceptional people regardless of locations, though please check the location listed on the posting for guidance around the core time zone or working hours alignment expected for the role.

What the Role Is
The modern tech stack has collapsed the distance between designing an experience and shipping it. We're hiring Senior Product Designers to build the next generation of Babylist by leveraging this reality.
The
Senior Product Designer
is the primary owner for user experience, delight, and interaction quality on the team. Equal parts skilled designer, hands-on researcher, and AI-enabled builder, you own how things feel, think broadly about user flows across the full Babylist experience, and hold the bar for whether something is intuitive, beautiful, and emotionally right for the user. You work alongside product managers, engineers, and data partners, but you are the one driving the experience layer and making sure every interaction meets both the functional and emotional needs of our users to drive impactful outcomes for the business.
You flex beyond the basics by running research, standing up working prototypes (in hours not days), and contributing to production-quality front-end code ensuring polish is never a trade-off. You help Babylist make the transition into AI-native product development by modeling what an AI-native designer does every day.
In this role, you shape how parents discover products, receive gifts, and navigate early parenthood across web and native mobile. These are not casual interactions. Families are making decisions during one of the most meaningful and overwhelming transitions of their lives. The experience has to be easy to use, easy to understand, and worthy of the trust they place in us.
Who You Are
Craft and experience obsessed
. You care deeply about how things feel, not just how they function — the transitions, motion, and details most people can't articulate but everyone responds to. You have a portfolio of shipped consumer product work across web and native mobile that proves it.
A systems thinker.
You see how a single interaction fits into a broader flow, how flows connect across products, and how the design system enables all of it. You design for coherence, not just screens.
Industry aware and pattern fluent.
You know the interaction patterns and design conventions that have become table stakes — and when to apply them versus evolve them for what Babylist families actually need.
Human-and-data-centered.
You plan and run generative and evaluative research yourself, bring concrete qualitative and quantitative evidence into design decisions, and communicate design rationale clearly and persuasively.
Product savvy
. You know what's worth building, what UX is right for a given context, and what will resonate with users in ways that support the business's goals — making engineers and PMs faster by reducing ambiguity and tightening scope.
Critical thinker.
You question assumptions and stress-test ideas before committing to them, distinguishing between what the data says and what people want it to say. You approach problems with creativity and multi-dimensional thinking.
Feedback fan.
You build feedback loops into your process from the start — putting prototypes in front of users early, sharing in-progress work before it's polished, and actively soliciting critique that makes it better.
AI-native and a real builder.
You move from a rough concept to an interactive prototype in hours, not weeks, and write production frontend code yourself rather than depending on an engineer to translate your mock. You have a portfolio of work built this way.
Outcome owner
. You instrument your own work, track whether it's moving the right metrics, and make clean iterate/pivot/stop calls based on evidence, not attachment.
Adaptable and low ego
. You jump in where needed across team boundaries without waiting for permission, and you bring curiosity to ambiguity rather than anxiety.
You naturally reach for AI in your work.
At Babylist, every team uses AI daily. You're already using it to move faster and improve your output, and you stay curious about what's coming next.
How You Will Make An Impact
Own the experience layer across a customer journey or product surface end-to-end
. Think holistically about user flows, brand expression, information architecture, and interaction patterns across the full Babylist product ecosystem - both web and native app - working with other designers and teams as needed.
Design and build experiences that drive outcomes
. That means using sound judgement to create experiences that solve real problems, are intuitive under stress, simple when decisions are complex, and delightful when the moment calls for it.
Define excellence.
Set the bar for quality, delight, and product excellence by demonstrating and teaching your team what great looks and feels like. Eschew perfection for learning that propels the product toward your high bar.
Stay deeply connected to users
. Talk to customers. Plan and execute research to ground design decisions in how families actually behave. Create fast feedback loops through user testing, Babylist communities, and other channels. Your design decisions are grounded in reality, not assumption.
Contribute to and evolve Babylist's design system
. Build reusable components, define interaction patterns, and ensure consistency across web and native mobile.
Operate with agency.
Don't wait for permission — create the conditions for your success and bias toward action, starting before you have the full picture and learning as you go. Let challenges energize you to think creatively and try new things.
Build with AI-native workflows
. Research synthesis, rapid prototyping, production code, design system evolution, interaction exploration. Show your team what's possible by doing it yourself leveraging AI - then share and teach what’s working.
Write production frontend code
. Work in the codebase to implement, refine, and polish the experiences you design. Close the gap between what a design looks like in Figma and what a user actually touches - finding and fixing rough edges without being asked. The transitions, the micro-interactions, the loading states, the empty states, the error states, the keyboard behavior. Own all of it.
Help democratize design.
Support AI-enabled workflows that bring product managers, engineers, and other collaborators into design tools, creating the conditions for non-designers to contribute meaningfully to the experience layer. Act as a consultant and quality bar on that work, not a gatekeeper. Build shared literacy around what good looks like, so the people working alongside you can make better decisions independently.
Multiply your team.
Be an excellent partner to engineers, product managers, and analysts as your co-builders to move the highest-impact work forward with strong communication and collaboration. Bring tighter problem framing, sharper user insight, and prototypes that make decisions easier to make. Design the repeatable, low-friction systems that let everyone on your team, including you, ship faster without sacrificing quality.
Who We Are
Babylist is the leading platform for expecting and new families.
About Compensation
We use a market-based approach to compensation. The starting salary range for this role is:
$178,035 to $213,642 + bonus and meaningful equity
Your starting salary will be based on your location, experience, and qualifications, with increases over time tied to performance, role growth, and internal pay equity.
