WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Notion is shaping the future of Go-To-Market, and as a Solutions Consultant (SC), you’ll bring that future to life by building alongside customers and turning their biggest challenges into measurable outcomes. As a customer-facing, quota-carrying SC, you’ll bring together technical fluency and commercial ownership to grow your book of business. You’ll build pipeline with BDRs, engage key stakeholders, lead discovery, co-build workflow solutions live with customers, and guide opportunities through close. You’ll connect each solution to a clear business case and stay engaged through adoption, expansion, and renewal so customers realize the value of what they buy.
You’ll partner with BDRs, Outcomes Architects, and technical or product specialists while maintaining clear ownership of customer relationships, opportunity momentum, and next steps. If you’re a builder who loves to sell—and want to work at the intersection of AI, productivity, and enterprise—this is the role.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Create pipeline across your book of business. Build target-account plans with BDRs and initiate outreach to priority stakeholders to generate qualified opportunities, alongside BDR-sourced pipeline.
- Own opportunities from first conversation through close. Lead discovery, qualify business needs and urgency, align stakeholders, shape the solution and business case, and drive the evaluation and commercial decision. Navigate commercial sizing, proposal construction, procurement, legal, and security review to close deals with the right scope, credits, and implementation path.
- Design and validate workflow solutions that deliver measurable value. Map current- and future-state workflows, co-build solutions live in Notion, and define realistic scope, success criteria, and an implementation path. Translate customer needs and validated outcomes into a clear business case, commercial recommendation, and decision path. Treat discovery as an opportunity to build and validate.
- Orchestrate the right partners while maintaining ownership. Engage BDRs, Outcomes Architects, and technical or product specialists at the right moments, with clear context and asks, while owning opportunity momentum, customer communication, and next steps.
- Drive customer value and commercial growth after signature. Partner with Outcomes Architects, guide the initial path to value with a clear adoption plan, on onboarding and ongoing multi-workflow adoption, and own expansion strategy and renewal planning. Stay accountable for translating credits sold into credits consumed, and surface risks or expansion opportunities as customer workflows mature.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Commercial ownership and pipeline generation. You can demonstrate how you created or advanced business, influenced customer decisions, and owned measurable outcomes. Relevant experience may come from quota-carrying sales or adjacent customer-facing roles.
- Technical fluency and builder mindset. You are comfortable building live in software and can demo, co-design, and troubleshoot with a customer without needing a specialist in the room.
- AI fluency. You are excited about AI, build with new tools, and continually learn new ways of working.
- Discovery, qualification, and value articulation. You can uncover customer needs, map workflows, qualify business impact and urgency, and translate what you learn into commercial outcomes, adoption plans, and clear success criteria.
- Agency, urgency, and learning velocity. You set clear goals, take initiative, learn from customer interactions, and apply those learnings to improve outcomes. You bring new ideas and workflows to customers and make complex problems easier to solve.
- Complex customer engagement. You can lead multi-stakeholder interactions and navigate procurement, legal, and security review cycles.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Full-cycle B2B software sales experience or solutions engineering experience, with a consistent track record of exceeding quota across new-logo acquisition and expansion motions.
- Familiarity with usage-based or consumption-based pricing models and the ability to structure credit-based commercial proposals.
- Prior experience selling to commercial accounts in productivity, collaboration, or workflow software.
- Experience in a shared account ownership model, partnering with a post-sale or Customer Success team as part of an integrated customer motion.
- Fluency in Swedish or Norwegian.
We hire talented and passionate people from a variety of backgrounds because we want our global employee base to represent the wide diversity of our customers. If you're excited about a role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every bullet point listed in the job description, we still encourage you to apply. If you're a builder at heart, share our company values, and are enthusiastic about making software toolmaking ubiquitous, we want to hear from you.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

InfluxData's North America Commercial sales team is growing, and we're looking for a Commercial Account Executive to own a territory end to end.
This is a hybrid new business and account management role. You'll hunt new logos across organizations of 1–500 employees in North America, and you'll carry a book of roughly 40 existing accounts that you are responsible for renewing and growing. The best people in this seat are as comfortable running a cold outbound motion as they are sitting with an existing customer six months before renewal, understanding where their usage is headed and what it will take to expand.
You are a hunter and a builder. You enjoy creating new relationships and deepening existing ones. You're all about working hard, supporting one another, ideating nonstop, and having a lot of fun while doing it.
InfluxDB is a purpose-built time series database used by engineering, platform, DevOps, SRE, and IoT teams to handle high-volume telemetry data. You'll be selling to technical buyers, which means the strongest AEs on this team are curious, consultative, and willing to get into the substance of a customer's architecture and problem.
What you’ll be doing:
New Business
- Owning the full sales cycle for new logos in North America Commercial — prospecting, discovery, scoping, POC, negotiation, and close
- Building and sustaining your own pipeline through cold calling, outbound email, LinkedIn, account research, inbound follow-up, and partner activity
- Running strong discovery: understanding the technical use case, the business impact, the buying process, the stakeholders, and what success looks like
- Understanding the competitive landscape — including open source alternatives — and positioning InfluxData to win
- Partnering with Sales Engineering to scope and run technical evaluations and POCs
Renewals & Expansions
- Owning renewal outcomes across a book of approximately 40 existing accounts, including forecast accuracy on every renewal in your territory
- Engaging renewals early — well ahead of the contract date — to understand usage trends, changes in the customer's environment, budget cycle, and stakeholder changes
- Identifying and closing expansion: new use cases, new teams and divisions, increased capacity, and upgrades
- Building multi-threaded relationships across your accounts so the relationship does not sit with a single champion
- Spotting and escalating retention risk early, and working with Customer Success and Support to resolve it before it reaches the renewal conversation
- Conducting regular check-ins and business reviews with your accounts to keep value visible
Across the Whole Territory
- Building trust and credibility, both internally and with prospects and customers, from engineering to executive stakeholders
- Keeping opportunity detail, next steps, renewal dates, and forecast accurate in Salesforce
- Forecasting and managing your sales activity and pipeline to meet revenue targets and company goals
- Meeting or exceeding monthly targets and quarterly quota across both new business and renewal/expansion
What we’re looking for:
- 1+ years of quota-carrying sales experience selling data solutions, SaaS, PaaS, developer tools, or cloud infrastructure
- Experience selling into commercial and mid-market organizations
- Experience managing accounts post-close through annual renewal cycles, with responsibility for retention and growth
- Demonstrated success running a full sales cycle from self-sourced pipeline through close
- Ability to balance hunting and farming — the discipline to keep prospecting while carrying an active book of business
- Comfort selling to technical buyers and translating technical capability into business value
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, able to talk to all levels at an organization
- Demonstrable history of meeting or exceeding quota
- Strong prospecting, qualifying, closing, and account management skills
- Excellent negotiation skills, including renewal and expansion negotiations
- Disciplined pipeline management, CRM hygiene, and forecast accuracy
It’s a plus if you have:
- Experience selling open source or commercial-open-source products, and competing against free alternatives
- Experience with time series data, observability, monitoring, IoT or industrial telemetry, DevOps, or SRE tooling
- Experience carrying a combined new business and renewal quota
