At Render, we’re building the modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications. Our mission is to eliminate the tradeoff between the power of hyperscalers and the simplicity of developer-friendly platforms—so teams can ship fast, scale reliably, and focus on their product, not infrastructure.
Unlike complex hyperscalers or ephemeral edge/serverless solutions, Render offers a developer-first experience with persistent compute, dynamic autoscaling, built-in orchestration, and observability, allowing teams to launch, scale, and manage real-world applications without writing infrastructure code or managing servers. Whether you're building LLM-powered applications, scalable SaaS products, or async processing pipelines, Render empowers teams to move fast and scale confidently from MVP to millions of users.
Our platform is trusted by over 7 million developers worldwide and continues to grow rapidly. In February 2026, we raised an additional $100M in Series C financing, bringing our total funding to $260M, to accelerate our vision of making cloud infrastructure both powerful and intuitive—designed for the speed of modern AI development.
We’re a diverse and talented team that values craft, velocity, and user experience. If you’re excited to help shape the future of the intelligent cloud and empower developers everywhere, we’d love to hear from you.
APPLYING TO RENDER
We're seeking candidates who possess high integrity, humility, and an insatiable drive to learn. Through reasoned discussions and continuous feedback, we strive to improve both individually and collectively. We foster an environment of mutual trust and respect, empowering effective debate to achieve the best outcomes for our customers and team.
We especially encourage members of underrepresented groups in the tech community to apply and understand that not all successful candidates will meet each requirement listed.
Our interview process is unique to each role, and we value the candidate experience just as much as our customer experience. We hope your conversations with us reflect a thoughtful process that is illuminative, enjoyable, and respectful of your time.
We're looking for a Staff Product Manager to own the vision and roadmap for observability at Render. The role spans both the systems layer and the fast-emerging world of agent observability. This is a role for someone who wants to define what it means to understand your software in an era where AI is fundamentally changing how it gets built and run: where a production incident might trace through services, queues, model calls, and autonomous agent decisions, and where cost is measured in tokens as much as CPU-hours.
This is a new specialization at Render, and you will own the visibility layer for AI workloads and drive the technical and strategic direction for Render's observability surface, including logs, metrics, traces, and the OpenTelemetry ecosystem. You'll engage with Render's customers and our product development teams to develop a deep understanding of how they debug, monitor, and manage spend, and build conviction about where observability needs to go next.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for observability at Render. Your scope spans systems telemetry (logs, metrics, distributed tracing), OpenTelemetry-native instrumentation and export, agent and LLM observability (traces of model calls, tool use, and multi-step agent runs), and the cost and usage layer that makes token economics legible.
- Drive prioritization across observability investments, balancing foundational telemetry infrastructure against near-term product needs.
- Partner deeply with Engineering & other Product teams to shape the technical direction of Render's telemetry pipeline, ensuring architectural decisions optimize for signal fidelity, query performance, and cost at scale. Observability touches every product surface at Render, so the dexterity to understand the shape of our other investment areas is essential.
- Develop a strong, opinionated point of view on what observability means for AI-native builders. How will OTel conventions extend to agent workloads, what a trace of an agent run could look like inside Render, and how teams should reason about token spend, model routing, and cost attribution.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 7+ years in Product Management, with substantive experience in observability, monitoring, developer tools, or infrastructure products.
- Working fluency with the OpenTelemetry ecosystem — signals, semantic conventions, collectors, and the tradeoffs of instrumenting real production systems. Bonus if you've tracked the emerging conventions for GenAI and agent observability.
- Familiarity with the economics of AI workloads: token pricing, model selection tradeoffs, and how teams budget for and attribute LLM spend. Major bonus if you've worked on an LLM gateway, proxy, or metering product.
- Deep developer empathy, for both internal engineering teams and our customers, and the technical depth to make sound architectural tradeoffs in collaboration with engineering.
- A track record of taking ambiguous, cross-cutting problems and turning them into clear strategy and shipped outcomes.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills.
WHAT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT REQUIRED
- Experience as an SRE, observability engineer, or infrastructure engineer.
- Hands-on experience building AI agents, or instrumenting and evaluating them in production.
- Contributions to OpenTelemetry or adjacent open-source telemetry projects.
If this role excites you but you don't meet every single requirement or your experience is in an adjacent role such as engineering management, we'd still love to hear from you. Your unique experience might be just what we need.

We're looking for a Staff Product Manager to own the vision and roadmap for Render's datastores portfolio, with our Postgres offering at the center. You will define what a modern managed database experience looks like, including how database products will adapt to new state patterns from agents and how agents as users of state-keeping products should be accommodated.
You'll drive the technical and strategic direction for Render Postgres and our broader data layer, working directly with your team and infrastructure engineering to shape architectural decisions. You'll engage with Render's customers and our product development teams to develop a deep understanding of their data needs and build conviction about where the datastores portfolio needs to go next.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Render's datastores, anchored on Postgres. Your scope spans provisioning and lifecycle management, high availability and disaster recovery, backups and point-in-time recovery, scaling and performance, connection management, and the extension ecosystem.
- Drive prioritization across Render's data investments, balancing the leverage of foundational reliability work — replication, failover, storage performance — against near-term product and business needs, and being able to negotiate those tradeoffs.
- Partner deeply with Engineering & other Product teams to shape the technical direction of Render's data layer, ensuring architectural decisions optimize for durability, performance, and operational simplicity. Databases are where customer trust is won or lost, so an instinct for reliability and data safety is essential.
- Develop a strong, opinionated point of view on how managed Postgres needs to evolve to serve AI-native builders — from vector workloads and retrieval pipelines to databases that are spun up, branched, and torn down programmatically by agents at scale.
- Set the standard for how developers experience data on Render, providing clear guidance, sensible defaults, and abstractions that make it easy for teams to run production databases with confidence — without needing a DBA on staff.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 7+ years in Product Management, with the majority spent on databases, data infrastructure, developer tools, or platform products.
- Familiarity with Postgres — its architecture, operational model, ecosystem, and the tradeoffs teams face running it in production. Bonus if you have strong perspective on how agentic workloads and AI-native applications are reshaping database usage patterns.
- Deep developer empathy, for both internal engineering teams and our customers, and the technical depth to make sound architectural tradeoffs in collaboration with engineering.
- A track record of taking ambiguous, high-stakes reliability and infrastructure problems and turning them into clear strategy and shipped outcomes.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills.
WHAT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT REQUIRED
- Experience as a database engineer, DBA, or infrastructure engineer.
- Hands-on experience with Postgres internals, replication tooling, or the extension ecosystem (e.g., pgvector, PostGIS).
- Experience building AI agents or the data infrastructure that powers them.
If this role excites you but you don’t meet every single requirement, we’d still love to hear from you—your unique experience might be just what we need.

The role suits a candidate who wants the analytical rigor of an investment banking seat combined with real ownership of a system they run themselves.

Operate the staging workflow. Operate the prospect staging and promotion workflow, ensuring nothing enters the production database without review, and support the quarterly tiering refresh.
Maintain the audit trail. Maintain the audit trail on data provenance and consent context consistent with the firm's data handling standard.

Prepare meeting briefs. Prepare meeting briefs for every Tier 1 interaction at least 24 hours in advance, including institution profile, relationship history, live items and suggested talking points; log outcomes and next actions in the platform after each meeting.
Support materials preparation. Support materials preparation for investor meetings, roadshows and transaction processes under the direction of the VP and coverage heads.

About You
As Head of Investor Capital and Relations, Middle East, you will operate independently in region with a global reporting line and executive sponsorship, and with the mandate to build the firm's Middle East franchise from first principles: the coverage map, the institutional relationships, the office and, ultimately, the regional team.
This is a builder's role. The GCC is executing one of the most ambitious government backed investment programs in the history of the games industry, and this seat exists to convert that alignment into anchor limited partner relationships, co-investment partnerships and strategic financings for the firm's investment vehicles and transaction pipeline.
The corporate title for this seat is Executive Director, with a defined path to Managing Director tied to franchise milestones. The seat will have one direct report initially, a Regional Relationship Manager, to be hired following office establishment.

An overview of this role
As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Duo Chat team, focused on Chat Engine, you'll build the core AI capabilities behind GitLab Duo Chat, the natural-language and agentic interface to the GitLab DevSecOps platform. Much of your work will involve building flow components and agentic flows in the Flow Registry, the Python framework built on LangGraph within our Duo Workflow Service that powers agentic chat, and integrating them with the GitLab Rails monolith.
You'll own complex backend features from start to finish across both services. You'll integrate large language models and orchestrate multi-agent flows so customers can work faster and more securely across the software development lifecycle. This work sits where GitLab's core platform meets its AI strategy, and reliability, performance, and answer quality directly shape the customer experience.
What you’ll do
Design and build flow components and agentic flows in the Flow Registry using Python and LangGraph within the Duo Workflow Service. These reusable building blocks power agentic Duo Chat and, increasingly, other AI features across GitLab.
Develop, ship, and maintain backend features for GitLab Duo Chat across the Python Duo Workflow Service and the GitLab Rails monolith in a secure, well-tested, and performant way.
Integrate new generative AI models, providers, tools, and multi-agent orchestration patterns into Duo Chat to expand its capabilities and improve answer quality.
Design, implement, and review GraphQL and Representational State Transfer (REST) application programming interfaces (APIs) and related monolith logic, including chat entry points, permissions, and foundational-flow registration. Keep contracts with frontend clients and host systems reliable and clear.
Improve debugging, observability, and test coverage using pytest, RSpec, and related frameworks; track and improve latency, error rates, and test coverage so AI-powered chat workflows stay reliable at scale.
Collaborate with Product, User Experience (UX), frontend, and AI specialists to refine requirements and deliver high-quality improvements through iteration.
Document standards, patterns, and learnings with other engineers, raising the bar for safe AI integration and evidence-driven engineering.
Participate in Tier 2 on-call rotations to troubleshoot production issues, contribute to root cause analysis, and strengthen resiliency.
What you’ll bring
Significant experience building and maintaining production Python backends, including APIs, data models, and asynchronous or long-running workloads.
Practical experience designing and shipping AI-powered, agentic backend features, including large language model integration, tool or function calling, and multi-agent orchestration. You use sound judgment about large language model limitations and safe use in production.
Working proficiency in Ruby on Rails, or a strong willingness to learn it. Duo Chat integrates deeply with the GitLab monolith for chat entry points, GraphQL, permissions, and flow registration, and most of GitLab's codebase is written in Ruby.
Proficiency designing or extending REST or GraphQL APIs with attention to scalability, maintainability, and backward compatibility.
Strong Structured Query Language (SQL) skills and familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including efficient queries and data modeling.
Ability to find, diagnose, and prevent performance and reliability problems at scale.
Experience solving technical problems of high scope and complexity and advocating for quality, security, and performance improvements across your team.
Openness to learning and collaborating in an async-first, distributed team, applying transferable skills from related technologies or domains. Hands-on experience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph or LangChain is a strong plus.
About the team
We're part of GitLab's AI Engineering organization and own the AI-powered chat experience embedded across the GitLab platform. Chat Engine is the backend-focused team within the Duo Chat group.
We're backend, frontend, and AI specialists working asynchronously across time zones, using issues, merge requests, and documentation as our main collaboration tools. Our focus is to expand generative and agentic AI capabilities, improve the performance and reliability of chat workflows, and strengthen the debugging and testing foundations that let us run AI features safely at scale.

Why Sony Interactive Entertainment?
Sony Interactive Entertainment isn’t just the Best Place to Play — it’s also the Best Place to Work. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is the company behind the PlayStation brand. As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we’re part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.
Senior Data Scientist, Product Usage & Value Lens (SBG / PBG Finance Partnership)
At PlayStation, Data Science plays a critical role in shaping how we invest in, retain, and delight our global player base. Our Player Value Science team turns understanding of value mechanics into incrementality: we explain what drives value, where it is created or missed, and what to change, so growth can be created and protected.
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will drive the development of advanced modelling and analytical approaches that influence high-stakes commercial and portfolio decisions at scale. Working closely with stakeholders across Finance, Strategy and Platform, you will work on complex and often ambiguous problems with a high degree of autonomy to shape how data informs strategy and investment decisions through a deeper understanding of player behaviour, product usage, and long-term value.
This role combines deep technical expertise with strong commercial judgement. You will own the problem definition and approach, and success will be measured not only by the quality of your work, but by the adoption and impact on business outcomes.
What You'll Do
Design and deliver advanced modelling approaches that quantify player value, incremental impact, and long-term platform value, applying techniques such as causal inference, forecasting, optimization and machine learning where appropriate.
Measure the incremental effect of launches, investments, and external market events, isolating true impact from what would have happened anyway, and translating that into an actionable understanding of where value is created.
Build optimization and scenario models that inform long-range planning and investment decisions under real-world constraints.
Own ambiguous problem spaces, and break down complex business challenges into tractable, measurable solutions.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams across Finance, Strategy and Platform to ensure value-driving products are robust, trusted and adopted, helping stakeholders understand how to recognise and attribute impact.
Evaluate and select modelling approaches based on problem context, balancing rigour, performance, scalability, interpretability, and business impact.
Mentor other data scientists and contribute to best practices across the team.
Communicate complex modelling approaches, assumptions and outcomes clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including Finance leadership.
What We're Looking For
You combine technical depth with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to influence strategy and inspire others. You thrive on ambiguous, high-value problems, using data to deepen PlayStation's understanding of its players and its portfolio, and inform decisions and strategies that drive sustainable growth.
Proven industry experience delivering impactful, decision-grade analytical and modelling solutions in areas such as customer value, incrementality, forecasting, or investment decisioning.
Experience with optimization or operations research approaches (for example resource allocation, scheduling, or constrained planning problems), or a strong quantitative foundation to pick these up quickly.
Strong grounding in causal inference and impact measurement, with the judgement to critically assess assumptions, recognise when correlation is not enough and select approaches that are proportionate to the problem being solved.
Experience owning projects end-to-end, from problem definition and selecting methods through to delivery and business adoption.
Ability to work with large, complex datasets and translate them into scalable, trustworthy solutions.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of influencing commercial or finance partners and communicating results persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in Python and SQL, and comfort across the modern analytical and ML tooling ecosystem; experience with PySpark or equivalent distributed data processing tools.
A strong quantitative background, typically a Master's or PhD in operations research, machine learning, statistics, economics, or a related field.
Nice to Have
Background in gaming, e-commerce, or subscription-based businesses.
Experience partnering with Finance or commercial functions on portfolio, investment, or impact-attribution problems.
Industry experience with experimentation frameworks and causal inference.
Expertise in modern machine learning approaches, including applying techniques such as transformers, embeddings, or sequence-based models to real-world behavioural data.
Experience working in agile, fast-paced environments
At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
In addition, this role
is eligible
for SIE’s top-tier benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program and coveted employee discounts for Sony products.
