Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems to the global enterprise and technology markets. Our platform, Ubuntu, is very widely used in breakthrough enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation and IoT. Our customers include the world's leading public cloud and silicon providers, and industry leaders in many sectors. The company is a pioneer of global distributed collaboration, with 1200+ colleagues in 75+ countries and very few office based roles. Teams meet two to four times yearly in person, in interesting locations around the world, to align on strategy and execution.
The company is founder led, profitable and growing.
Product marketers at Canonical sit between product and the market. They take deeply technical open source products and decide what they mean to a user and a buyer; which problem they solve, who should care, why we win, and what it should cost. That work shows up as positioning and messaging, launch plans, competitive intelligence, global campaigns, and the enablement that helps sales tell a coherent story.
This is a role for someone who wants ownership rather than a brief. You will pick up a portfolio area, form your own point of view on the market, and defend it with evidence. We expect product marketers to talk to customers and community members directly, and to bring opinions to product and sales rather than waiting to be told what to say.
We have a bias for action, focus effort on the most impactful activities, and take ownership of our results. We work across long buying cycles, balance storytelling with data, design experiments, track outcomes, and iterate rapidly to find what works.
Location: This role is remote for anyone based in EMEA.
The role entails
You will own product marketing for one of our product areas, from the market thesis through to the assets that sales and campaigns run on. You will be accountable for whether the story lands, whether launches convert, and whether the sales team can repeat the message without you in the room.
You will:
Own positioning, messaging, and the narrative hierarchy for your product area, and keep it consistent from the website through to the sales deck
Lead product launches end to end with tiering, timeline, cross-functional plan, assets, and post-launch reporting
Build and maintain the competitive picture for your area: who we lose to, why, and what we say about it
Support building the enablement that sales actually uses: battlecards, discovery questions, objection handling, demo narratives
Run structured customer and community research, including win-loss, to keep the messaging grounded in real language rather than internal assumptions
Partner with demand generation, content, web, and events to turn positioning into campaigns that move pipeline
Raise the standard of the craft around you through review, mentoring, and shared frameworks
What we are looking for in you
Strong written and verbal communication in English
An exceptional academic track record from high school and university
Proven product marketing experience in B2B software, SaaS, or open source
A track record of owning positioning and messaging for a product or portfolio, not just executing someone else's
Evidence of launches you led that changed a business outcome such as adoption, pipeline, or win rate
The technical curiosity to hold your own with product managers and engineers and to understand the product beyond the datasheet
Comfort using data to test a hypothesis, evaluate a campaign, and change your mind
Ability to influence and align stakeholders across product, sales, and marketing without formal authority
Excellent storytelling skills applied to technical solutions, for both developer and executive audiences
Skill at managing complex, cross-functional projects with several dependencies and a fixed date
Fast adaptation to change and to new technology in marketing
Proactive, outcome-driven, and confident operating independently at a global scale
Nice-to-have skills
Experience marketing to developers, or in infrastructure, security, or IoT categories
Familiarity with open source communities and commercial open source business models
Experience across both product-led and sales-led motions, and with the handover between them
Public speaking, webinars, or conference presence in a technical field
Experience mentoring or leading other product marketers
What we offer you
Your base pay will depend on various factors including your geographical location, level of experience, knowledge and skills. In addition to the benefits above, certain roles are also eligible for additional benefits and rewards including annual bonuses and sales incentives based on revenue or utilization. Our compensation philosophy is to ensure equity right across our global workforce.
In addition to a competitive base pay, we provide all team members with additional benefits, which reflect our values and ideals. Please note that additional benefits may apply depending on the work location and, for more information on these, please ask your Talent Partner.

About the role
🤓
We’re looking for a
Senior Product Builder
who wants to own product problems, not just engineering tasks.
You’ll work across the full lifecycle of B2B initiatives:
understand → shape → build → ship → measure → iterate
This is not a frontend or backend-specific role. Our main stack is Ruby on Rails and React, but we care more about strong engineering fundamentals, product judgment and the ability to work across the stack when needed.
You won’t receive a perfectly specified backlog. You’ll be expected to help create the work: understand merchants and the business, challenge assumptions, work through ambiguity and decide with the team what is worth building.
How we build at seQura
🤖
AI-assisted development is how our engineers work every day. We use AI agents to think through problems, write, review and iterate on code, and we're looking for engineers who already work this way, or are actively making the shift.
What matters to us isn't whether you know the syntax and idioms of your preferred programming language or tech stack by heart. It's whether you understand the problem you're solving, can explain the business logic behind it, and own every line you ship, no matter who (or what) wrote it first.
AI helps you move faster, challenge assumptions, explore different approaches and improve your solutions. But knowing which questions to ask, making sound technical and product decisions, and taking responsibility for the outcome is always up to you.
Our technical interviews reflect this approach: you'll use your own AI tools, and we'll ask you to walk us through your solution, both the business reasoning and the code.
If you're only interested in technical challenges without engaging in the product decisions behind them, or you'd rather not work with AI, this probably isn't the right role for you.
About the Merchant Experience team
🧩
We build the B2B product experiences that help merchants manage and grow their business with seQura.
The team owns merchant-facing products and the platform behind them, including order management, analytics, self-service capabilities, growth initiatives and platform features used by other B2B teams.
We are a small team of senior Product Engineers and a Product Designer, with
no dedicated Product Manager by design
.
Engineers are expected to contribute beyond implementation: understanding problems, shaping opportunities, making product and technical decisions, shipping solutions and checking their outcomes.
Initiatives are led by engineers who take ownership of a problem, gather context, define the hypothesis and success criteria, shape the work, drive delivery and follow up after launch.
AI-assisted development is part of our daily workflow. As implementation gets faster, we expect engineers to spend more of their judgment on
what to build, why it matters and what we learn from it
.
What challenges you'll be solving 🚀
Own product initiatives end-to-end, from problem understanding to outcome validation.
Act as Champion for initiatives: gather context, define hypotheses and success criteria, shape the work and drive it forward.
Work directly with merchants, business stakeholders, Product Design and other engineering teams when needed.
Build and operate production software across backend and frontend.
Make pragmatic product and technical decisions with incomplete information.
Use data, feedback and experiments to decide whether to iterate, change direction or stop.
Contribute to evolving Merchant Portal into a platform other B2B teams can build on.
Use AI throughout your workflow, including exploration, implementation, testing, debugging and learning unfamiliar systems.
What to expect in the next 90 days
🏁
Month 1
Learn the B2B domain, Merchant Portal, codebase and current initiatives. Shadow a Champion, meet key stakeholders and start contributing.
Month 2
Own a small initiative with support from the team, from understanding the problem to shipping it.
Month 3
Act as Champion for an initiative: frame the problem, define the hypothesis and success criteria, ship a solution and check the outcome.
What you’ll need 🤝
Must have:
7+ years of experience building production software.
Strong software engineering fundamentals.
Experience owning work beyond implementation.
Comfortable working across backend and frontend when needed.

Salmon is a technology-driven financial company building a banking and lending platform across Southeast Asia, starting in the Philippines.
We combine global fintech expertise with deep local market knowledge to make financial services simple, accessible, and useful for millions of people across the region.
7M+ app downloads. 2M+ monthly active users. 10,000+ partner stores. US$310M+ raised from leading global investors.
Manila-based, globally distributed, and hybrid-first — our team spans 45+ countries.
If you want to solve complex problems at scale and impact how millions of people access and manage money, come build with us.
Southeast Asia's fintech moment starts here.
About the role
Salmon’s content — marketing, product, and support — is written in English first. Tagalog and Cebuano (Bisaya) versions still depend on ad hoc help. You’d own that layer end-to-end and become our go-to expert on how Salmon sounds in both languages
This is a senior role, not a file-in, file-out translation job. You set the quality bar, build the glossaries and style guides for Tagalog and Cebuano from scratch, and make the calls yourself rather than follow someone else’s rulebook. Done well, this could grow into its own small localization function
What you’ll do
- Write and localize marketing, website, product, and in-app copy in Tagalog and Cebuano. You decide when to translate, when to rewrite from scratch, and what stays in English. Cebuano work will grow as the product expands into new regions, but native-level fluency is required from day one
- Build the style guides and glossaries for both languages: voice and register, financial terminology, formatting, and how to handle regional variation. Keep them current as the product grows
- Adapt tone for regional audiences and advise teams early: flag campaign concepts, humor, or messaging that may not land before production starts
- Handle financial content with precision: explain fees, interest, and repayment terms clearly without changing their meaning, and know when to take wording to Legal or Compliance
- Review copy before publication, including as backup reviewer for other authors. Check it in the actual app or customer journey, and decide what must be fixed: an error that could mislead a customer versus a stylistic preference
- Work with Marketing, Content, and Product: take briefs, challenge unclear briefs and English source copy, suggest alternatives, work through conflicting feedback, and deliver on schedule
- Spot recurring language problems across teams and fix them at the source, through guidelines and training, instead of correcting the same issues again
What you’ll own
- The quality bar for all Tagalog and Cebuano content, including improving what’s already published
- The glossaries and style guides, from first draft to adoption across teams, aligned with brand voice
- Final approval of Tagalog and Cebuano content: you approve it or send it back for revision
- The team’s go-to expertise on regional-audience nuance
What makes you a strong fit
- Native or near-native fluency in Tagalog and Cebuano (Bisaya). You write in both, not only translate
- Strong English: you read our briefs and spot what won’t work in Filipino
- 5+ years of professional writing, editing, or localization in Tagalog or Cebuano for commercial clients, or an equivalent track record, including full ownership of a localization workflow from intake and translation through review, release, and quality control
- Published work you can walk us through: what you decided and why
- Experience building glossaries, style guides, or tone-of-voice guidelines from scratch
- Strong editorial judgment: you evaluate quality, decide on your own, give authors clear feedback, and defend your decisions to stakeholders
- Understanding of how Filipinos use financial products and apps. We value product intuition as much as language skill
- Experience with localization/TMS tools (Lokalise, Phrase, Smartling, Crowdin) and Figma is a plus

Who we are:
Action1 is an autonomous patch management platform trusted by many Fortune 500 companies. Cloud-native, infinitely scalable, highly secure, and configurable in 5 minutes, it just works and is always free for the first 200 endpoints, with no functional limits. By pioneering autonomous OS and third-party application patching, Action1 helps organizations eliminate routine work, reduce ransomware and security risks, and protect the digital employee experience. It provides real-time vulnerability assessment and remediation across remote and on-site endpoints without requiring a VPN, while peer-to-peer patch distribution reduces bandwidth use on local networks.
In 2026, Action1 was recognized as the fastest-growing founder-led cybersecurity company in America on the Inc. 5000. Action1 is led by industry veterans Alex Vovk and Mike Walters, American entrepreneurs who founded Netwrix, which has grown into an industry-leading, multibillion-dollar cybersecurity company.
Introduction:
Action1 is transforming endpoint security for modern IT teams. As we continue our evolution from SMB to enterprise, we are hiring a high-performing Account Executive to drive new business across state, local, and education accounts in
Wisconsin and Iowa.
This is a quota-carrying, full-cycle hunter role focused on creating new opportunities within a designated territory. The successful candidate will leverage their existing knowledge and relationships within the SLED market to generate demand and open doors with IT and security leaders.
We are looking for someone who already understands how the public sector purchases cybersecurity and IT infrastructure. This includes longer sales cycles, multiple decision-makers, technical validation, security reviews, procurement requirements, reseller relationships, and budget cycles.
This is not a relationship-only SLED role or a reactive RFP position. We need someone who can build pipeline, recognize high-value opportunities, run strong discovery, manage technical evaluations, and close business in a high-growth, remote-first SaaS environment.
Responsibilities
Drive SLED Revenue Growth:
Own a defined U.S. SLED territory and meet or exceed quota through disciplined territory development, pipeline generation, and deal execution.
Create New Opportunities:
Identify target accounts, conduct direct outbound prospecting, and build relationships with public-sector IT and security leaders.
Build and Maintain Pipeline:
Generate pipeline through outbound activity, customer referrals, partner relationships, events, and strategic account planning.
Manage the Full Sales Cycle:
Lead opportunities from prospecting through discovery, stakeholder alignment, technical validation, procurement, negotiation, and contract execution.
Sell to IT and Security Leaders:
Engage IT Directors, CISOs, CIOs, Infrastructure Directors, SysAdmins, security teams, procurement stakeholders, and executive decision-makers.
Navigate SLED Buying Processes:
Manage multi-stakeholder sales cycles, RFPs, security reviews, procurement workflows, cooperative purchasing, contract vehicles, and reseller-led motions.
Develop Partner Relationships:
Build relationships with reseller representatives and other partners who can provide introductions and help uncover opportunities.
Prioritize High-Value Opportunities:
Recognize where meaningful revenue potential exists and focus time and resources accordingly.
Partner with Solutions Engineers:
Collaborate with pre-sales and technical resources to support discovery, demonstrations, evaluations, and technical validation.
Execute Account Expansion Strategy:
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing SLED customers to support long-term growth and retention.
Maintain Sales Discipline:
Keep forecasts, opportunity details, next steps, and account activity accurate in Salesforce.
Share Market Intelligence:
Provide feedback on customer priorities, competitive activity, procurement trends, and territory-specific opportunities.
Operate with Ownership:
Work independently in a remote-first environment while collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Channel, Product, Customer Success, and Sales Leadership.
Requirements
Proven quota-carrying experience selling cybersecurity software into state, local, and education accounts in the states of
Wisconsin and Iowa.
Established relationships and strong market knowledge within a defined SLED territory, including familiarity with relevant customers, resellers, partners, and procurement channels.
Proven success operating as a hunter and generating new pipeline through direct outbound prospecting, cold outreach, referrals, partner relationships, and territory development.
Demonstrated ability to identify target SLED accounts, open new relationships, create demand, and develop opportunities without waiting for formal RFPs.
Experience managing full-cycle, multi-stakeholder SLED sales processes from initial outreach through close.
Strong understanding of public-sector procurement, including RFPs, cooperative purchasing, contract vehicles, reseller-led sales, security reviews, and government budget cycles.
Experience selling cybersecurity, endpoint management, patch management, vulnerability management, EDR, MDR, IAM, IT operations, infrastructure, or closely related technical solutions.
Experience engaging IT Directors, CISOs, CIOs, Infrastructure Leaders, SysAdmins, security teams, procurement stakeholders, and technical buying committees.
Proven success owning and closing complex deals with an average deal value of at least $30,000.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate and prioritize opportunities based on customer need, revenue potential, and likelihood of success.
Excellent discovery, consultative selling, negotiation, account planning, and relationship-building skills.
Strong forecasting discipline and consistent Salesforce hygiene.
Ability to operate independently, maintain consistent outbound activity, and create structure within a developing territory.
Comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-paced, remote-first environment.
Available to begin as soon as possible based on business needs.
