At the core of the studio is a passionate team of artists whose adaptability across art styles - from stylized to photorealistic - brings game worlds to life.
We are seeking a Material Artist to integrate with AMC team. You will partner with art and design teams to develop compelling materials. Your role involves creating materials that meet our technical specifications and adapting stock textures, such as from Megascans, to fit our production pipelines. If you excel at materials creation, delivering production-ready assets, and adhere to strict technical requirements, this is the perfect opportunity for you
Responsibilities
Develop high-quality benchmark materials utilizing Substance Designer, Substance Painter, ZBrush, or other preferred DCC tools.
Ensure all materials maintain compatibility and interchangeability within the project.
Collaborate closely with Level Artists to create user-friendly and convenient materials for level construction.
Work with the Lead to verify materials are correctly integrated and function as intended with project-specific shaders, including features like tinting and height blends.
Uphold the integrity and uniformity of the material library.
Independently research, evaluate, and implement the latest industry trends and material creation techniques.

Location: Deliveroo
Our Global Structure
Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
About the team
Agent Experience builds the AI-powered backend services that power agent-assist tooling on our Astra support surface — helping support agents resolve customer, merchant, and Dasher issues faster. We sit at the intersection of LLM-backed product features and high-volume, latency-sensitive support infrastructure.
What you'll do
Build and maintain backend services for agent-assist features on Astra, taking on feature-level work with increasing independence.
Translate requirements into working code: design the feature-level approach, write an RFC when the change affects other engineers, and implement it end-to-end.
Integrate with LLM-backed features — wiring up prompt/completion calls, handling provider responses, and validating output quality and correctness.
Break down assigned project work into tasks, provide accurate estimates, and keep your own progress and dependencies on track.
Apply AI tooling thoughtfully to your own workflow (coding, testing, review) and critically evaluate its output rather than taking it at face value.
Participate in code review — both giving and receiving — to help the team hold a high bar for correctness, quality, and standards compliance.
Collaborate with senior engineers and partner teams to clarify problem definitions, unblock yourself, and flag risks or blockers early.
What we're looking for
Solid backend engineering fundamentals in Go, with experience shipping and maintaining production services.
Exposure to LLM-powered features in production (prompt/completion integration, provider APIs) is a plus — we'll ramp you up if you haven't worked with this directly.
Ability to independently own feature-level work: from a written requirement to tested, shipped code.
Comfort working in a domain with multiple chat/support surfaces — willingness to trace issues to the right service rather than guessing.
Clear technical writing (RFCs for feature-level decisions) and good judgment about when to ask for help versus push forward.
2–4 years of backend engineering experience, with a track record of growing ownership and scope.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
At Deliveroo, we know that a great workplace reflects the world around us and that true diversity and inclusion make us stronger, more creative, and better at what we do. We’re committed to fostering an environment where everyone can do their best work and feel they belong.
We believe in equality of opportunity and welcome candidates from all backgrounds regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, socio-economic background, religion, or belief.
If you have a disability or long-term health condition and need support to apply for one of our roles, or require any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, you’ll have the opportunity to let us know once you’ve submitted your application. We’ll share details on how to request support so we can ensure you have a fair and equitable experience.
If you’re excited about making a real impact in a fast-moving marketplace and growing your career alongside ambitious, supportive teams, we’d love to hear from you!
