Location: Remote, Global ABOUT SUPABASE Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth. ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Billing team at Supabase. Billing owns the monetization and revenue systems that turn platform usage into accurate customer charges and finance-ready revenue data. The team’s scope includes plans, subscriptions, usage-based billing, invoices, payments, credits, coupons, taxation, dunning, collections, pricing mechanics, entitlements, marketplace and partner billing paths, and integrations with providers such as Stripe and Orb. Billing sits at the intersection of engineering, product, finance, data, support, and partnerships. The systems are revenue-critical and trust-critical: they must remain correct, predictable, supportable, observable, and extensible as Supabase grows and introduces new products, pricing models, and partner channels. This is a people, delivery, and technical leadership role. We don’t expect managers to contribute production code directly, but we do expect you to participate in architecture and design discussions, challenge plans with sound technical reasoning, and set a high bar for correctness, reliability, and operational maturity. WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR Team & People - Build a healthy, high-trust team culture in a remote-first, globally distributed environment. - Run 1:1s, performance management, career development, and onboarding for your direct reports. - Coach engineers working across backend application code, data pipelines, external integrations, and operational workflows. - Build durable ownership across the team so critical billing knowledge, access, and incident response do not depend on one person. - Handle people administration, including leave and time off, for your team. Hiring - Own the hiring plan for the Billing team and act as Hiring Manager and first-round interviewer for roles on the team. - Partner with Talent Acquisition to source, interview, and close strong candidates with the right mix of billing-domain depth and engineering judgment. - Contribute to headcount planning, org design, and the evolution of engineering leadership at Supabase. Delivery, Roadmap & Partnerships - Own the Billing roadmap and project management in Linear, driving accountability, clear milestones, and predictable delivery. - Balance new pricing and product capabilities with investments in system correctness, resilience, supportability, and technical debt. - Manage workflow intake and Slack triage, deciding what should be routed, prioritized, sequenced, or pushed back on. - Own weekly updates and keep stakeholders aligned without creating unnecessary overhead. - Surface risks, dependencies, tradeoffs, and revenue or customer-impact concerns early and clearly to leadership. Incident Commander - Train as an Incident Commander and lead coordination, resolution, customer-impact assessment, and post-incident follow-up. - Lead blameless post-incident reviews. YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU - Have 5+ years of engineering background, with enough depth to be credible with engineers building complex systems. - Have 3+ years managing remote engineering teams. - Have managed a billing engineering team at a cloud, SaaS, or developer tools company. Experience with developer tools or databases is a strong preference, but we'll consider any sufficiently technical background where you can demonstrate the ability to ramp on a new domain. - Have managed remote, globally distributed teams that work asynchronously across disparate time zones. - Are technical enough to be credible with strong engineers, but genuinely passionate about people management. This is the work you want to do, not a track you're settling for. - Build psychological safety and a feedback culture: you give feedback often and in the moment, ask for it back, and create space for the team to do the same. - Operate as a multiplier. Focused on helping individuals achieve more than they could alone, not on being the best technical voice in the room. - Coach rather than direct. Remove blockers, connect people to context and resources, and trust your engineers to own how the work gets done. - Have a real track record of performance management and can speak to specific examples of difficult conversations and how you navigated them. - Are comfortable with ambiguity and capable of building structure where there isn't much. - Communicate clearly and write well. You're default async, default written, set context proactively, and surface risks early. - Are collaborative, low-ego, and adaptable. You thrive working with high-autonomy, senior ICs who have strong technical opinions and don't need to be the smartest person in the room. RELEVANT BILLING DOMAIN & TECHNICAL EXPERTISE You should bring experience across most of the following areas: - Subscription lifecycle and monetization mechanics: plans and packaging, billing cycles, upgrades and downgrades, proration, upfront and in-arrears charges, add-ons, credits, coupons, discounts, refunds, taxes, dunning, collections, disputes, and chargebacks. - Usage-based billing at scale: converting raw product and infrastructure telemetry into billable usage; defining meters and dimensions; applying quotas and pricing; handling late-arriving data; and supporting deterministic reruns, backfills, and reconciliation. - Payments and billing-provider integrations: production experience with Stripe, Orb, or comparable providers, including APIs, webhooks, invoice lifecycle, payment failures, event ingestion, sync engines, rate limits, provider SLAs, and graceful degradation during outages. - Entitlements and pricing enforcement: separating feature access from charging, managing plan defaults and customer-specific overrides, and designing auditable controls that keep product behaviour consistent with commercial agreements. - Cross-functional billing operations: working effectively with Finance, Data, Product, Support, Sales/RevOps, and Partnerships on revenue reporting, customer support, fraud and payment risk, marketplace billing, and new pricing launches. WHAT WE OFFER - Fully Remote We hire globally. We believe you can do your best work from anywhere. There are no Supabase offices, but we provide a WeWork membership or co-working allowance you can use anywhere in the world. - ESOP Every team member receives ESOP (equity ownership) in the company. We want everyone to share in the upside of what we’re building together. - Tech Allowance Use this budget to set up your ideal work environment—laptop, monitor, headphones, or whatever helps you do your best work. - Health Benefits Supabase covers 100% of health insurance for employees and 80% for dependents, wherever you are. Your wellbeing and your family’s health are important to us. - Annual Off-Sites Once a year, the entire company gathers in a new city for a week of connection, collaboration, and fun. It’s a highlight of our year. - Flexible Work We operate asynchronously and trust you to manage your own time. You know what needs to be done and when. - Professional Development Every team member receives an annual education allowance to spend on learning—courses, books, conferences, or anything that supports your growth. ABOUT THE TEAM Supabase was born-remote and open-source-first. We believe our globally distributed team is our secret weapon in building tools developers love. - ~400 team members - 60+ countries - 20+ languages spoken - Over $1B raised (including our $500M Series F) - 540,000+ community members We move fast, build in public, and use what we ship. If it’s in your project, we probably use it in ours too. We believe deeply in the open-source ecosystem and strive to support—not replace—existing tools and communities.

Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan Workplace: OnSite WHY WORK AT HIGGSFIELD AI? Higgsfield AI is the fastest-scaling generative AI company in history, hitting $700M in annual revenue run rate, 30M+ users worldwide, 6M+ generations per day, and powering 390 of Fortune 500 brands. We're building at the absolute frontier of AI-powered video creation and next-generation creative tools. Joining Higgsfield means becoming part of a high-impact team shaping the future of AI-native experiences, at a company that isn't just moving fast, but rewriting what fast looks like. ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to be the technical-creative weapon behind our enterprise business. This role is part cinematic director, part AI production engineer, part educator. You build the demos and proofs of concept that show Fortune 500 brands what's possible, then make those customers succeed in production: broadcast-grade cinematic work, repeatable workflows on the Higgsfield stack, and trained client teams that keep creating after the engagement. The bar for this role is insanely high-quality cinematic knowledge and taste. You know why a shot works: lensing, lighting, blocking, camera movement, pacing, edit rhythm. And you know how to get that out of generative models, reliably, at commercial quality, on deadlines measured in days. WHAT YOU'LL DO SET UP ENTERPRISE CUSTOMERS FOR SUCCESS - Convert client briefs into tailored, visually stunning demos and proofs of concept. - Own the technical-creative side of pilots from kickoff to production rollout. - Track the generative AI model landscape constantly so our work stays ahead of anything the client has seen. DELIVER CINEMATIC WORK - Direct and produce cinematic AI campaigns end-to-end for enterprise customers: creative direction, shot design, character and asset consistency, generation, edit, delivery. - Set and defend a broadcast-grade quality bar that makes the platform look world-class in public. BUILD PRODUCTION WORKFLOWS - Turn one-off wins into repeatable pipelines: model chains, presets, prompt systems, automation (APIs, MCP, agentic workflows). - Reverse-engineer reference ads, film looks, and visual styles into reproducible Higgsfield workflows. EDUCATE AND ENABLE - Train customer teams hands-on: live workshops, demos, documented workflows they actually use. - Become a trusted creative-technical advisor to CMOs, creative directors, and production leads. FEED THE PRODUCT - Bring what you learn in the field back to Product, Engineering, and Research: gaps, failure modes, feature requests, new use cases. YOUR MUST HAVES - A portfolio of cinematic AI work at commercial quality. Portfolio first, we review every single one, and it matters more than your CV. - 5+ years in commercial, film, or creative production; 2+ years hands-on with generative AI. - Deep, current fluency across the generative stack: image and video models, consistency techniques, VFX and motion workflows. You can name the models, the pipelines, and exactly how you got each shot. - Real cinematic craft: shot design, lighting, composition, storyboarding, editing. You can explain why a frame works, not just generate it. - Proven client-facing delivery: pilots, PoCs, or commissioned productions taken from brief to finished high-end results on the client's timeline. - Comfortable presenting to executives and running live demos under pressure. - Ability to teach: you can make a non-technical creative team dangerous with these tools. - High sense of ownership, drive and startup, can-do mentality. You are expected to get running on the ground from Day 1. - High agency. Excellent English. NICE TO HAVES - Background in film, advertising, fashion, or e-commerce content production (director, DP, editor, creative director). - Expert-level familiarity with each AI model, including Higgsfield's proprietary models, tools, plugins and skills - Scripting or automation experience (Python, APIs, ComfyUI, MCP, agent pipelines). - Prior forward deployed, solutions engineering, or sales engineering experience at an AI or creative platform. - An existing audience or community in the AI creative ecosystem. - Experience working with enterprise stakeholders and Fortune 500 brands. THE DEAL - Competitive salary in USD. - On-site role in our Almaty office. - Relocation to Almaty from anywhere: we sponsor and process your work permit, cover your flights, and provide temporary housing while you settle in. - Full-time position.

How we're different We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences. Come work with us! Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of developer tooling, AI/agents, and supply chain security. What you'll do Drive the technical vision: Help set the roadmap and priorities for the squad, partnering with engineering leadership in ongoing planning cycles rather than a single fixed plan. Build AI-powered tooling: Develop LLM-integrated, agentic pipelines for manifest generation, test scaffolding, and validation. Design prompt architectures, evaluation loops, and quality gates. Write production Go: This is a hands-on role — you'll build CLI tools, services, and integrations alongside your team. Build quality tooling: Develop tooling and automation that improves customer reliability, including test generators, validation frameworks, and quality gates. Mentor and raise the bar: Help less experienced teammates level up, especially where their background is strong in one area (e.g., OS/distro internals or service maintenance) and lighter in another. Collaborate across a distributed team: Work closely with teammates across time zones (primarily US/Canada, with close collaboration across EU and India-based colleagues on adjacent squads). What we're looking for 7+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of designing and building complex systems Strong Go expertise Experience with AI/LLM integration: building systems that use language models for code generation, automation, or developer tooling; some exposure to agentic workflows is a strong plus Systems architecture skills: ability to design loosely-coupled, scalable systems and make pragmatic trade-offs Experience building developer tools, CLIs, or automation platforms Deep Linux and build systems knowledge: experience with package managers (apk, apt, rpm), build tools (Make, Bazel, language-specific toolchains), and containerization Container ecosystem expertise: Docker, OCI, container registries, Kubernetes Demonstrated ability to help shape team direction: comfortable influencing roadmap and priorities, not just implementing them Strong communication skills: ability to write clear technical documents, work autonomously, and collaborate across teams and time zones Based in the US or Canada Nice to haves Experience working on or contributing to a Linux distribution (e.g., Wolfi, Red Hat, Ubuntu, or similar) Background maintaining a large number of services in production Contributions to open-source projects Familiarity with software supply chain security (SBOM, provenance, signing) Experience with melange, apko, or Wolfi Understanding of compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FIPS, STIG) Base Salary Range $205,000 — $231,000 USD About Us We live and breathe our company values: We are customer obsessed — We focus on delivering solutions to our customers that create value and make their lives better. We have a bias for intentional action — We prioritize, plan, try things, and fail fast. We don't take ourselves too seriously (but we do serious work) — We are solving an important problem which takes focus, but we also like to enjoy the journey. We trust each other and assume good intentions — We're transparent with decisions to empower team members to make well informed decisions. A few of the benefits we offer: Flexible & Remote-First Culture: Work remotely with team meetup opportunities, bi-annual destination summits, and a monthly stipend for coworking spaces, phone and internet costs.
