At Render, we’re building the modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications. Our mission is to eliminate the tradeoff between the power of hyperscalers and the simplicity of developer-friendly platforms—so teams can ship fast, scale reliably, and focus on their product, not infrastructure.
Unlike complex hyperscalers or ephemeral edge/serverless solutions, Render offers a developer-first experience with persistent compute, dynamic autoscaling, built-in orchestration, and observability, allowing teams to launch, scale, and manage real-world applications without writing infrastructure code or managing servers. Whether you're building LLM-powered applications, scalable SaaS products, or async processing pipelines, Render empowers teams to move fast and scale confidently from MVP to millions of users.
Our platform is trusted by over 7 million developers worldwide and continues to grow rapidly. In February 2026, we raised an additional $100M in Series C financing, bringing our total funding to $260M, to accelerate our vision of making cloud infrastructure both powerful and intuitive—designed for the speed of modern AI development.
We’re a diverse and talented team that values craft, velocity, and user experience. If you’re excited to help shape the future of the intelligent cloud and empower developers everywhere, we’d love to hear from you.
APPLYING TO RENDER
We're seeking candidates who possess high integrity, humility, and an insatiable drive to learn. Through reasoned discussions and continuous feedback, we strive to improve both individually and collectively. We foster an environment of mutual trust and respect, empowering effective debate to achieve the best outcomes for our customers and team.
We especially encourage members of underrepresented groups in the tech community to apply and understand that not all successful candidates will meet each requirement listed.
Our interview process is unique to each role, and we value the candidate experience just as much as our customer experience. We hope your conversations with us reflect a thoughtful process that is illuminative, enjoyable, and respectful of your time.
ABOUT THE ROLE
More than 7 million developers use Render, and most of them found us through other developers. We're building a team to further drive this developer led growth. As our first Developer Programs Lead, you'll own Render's social presence, developer community, developer programs, and developer voice.
You'll set the strategy across all four areas, decide where to hire, where to use agencies or creators, and in what order.
You'll report to Raph Terrier, Head of Developer Experience. The DX team owns content: tutorials, videos, docs, and articles. Your team owns how Render sounds, how that content reaches developers, and the programs and community around it. You'll also work closely with our VP of Marketing, product marketing, and product.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and lead the team
- Set the strategy and goals for social, community, developer programs, and developer brand.
- Decide what to build first, what to hand to agencies or contractors, and when to hire. Then hire and manage the team.
- Report on what's working to Developer Experience and Marketing leadership, and change course when something isn't.
Own Social
- Run Render's accounts on X, LinkedIn, and Reddit yourself at first. Write the posts, reply to developers, and join the conversations where Render has something useful to say.
- Set the channel strategy: where we show up, how often, and what we measure.
- Handle the hard moments in public, including outages, pricing changes, and sharp criticism, with the right people inside Render.
Grow our Developer Community
- Build Render's presence in Discord, Reddit, and the other places developers gather, with the DX team.
- Run AMAs, livestreams, and community events with DX.
- Bring what you hear from developers back to Product and Engineering.
Run developer programs
- Build programs that grow Render's reach through other people: developer creators, ambassadors, referrals, speaking, and employee advocacy.
Own the developer voice
- Define Render's voice and style for developers, and write it down so engineers, product managers, and marketers sound like Render when they write or post.
- Work with the VP of Marketing and product marketing on Render's external narrative and how each launch shows up in public.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 7+ years across social, community, developer marketing, or brand, including time building or leading a function at a growing company.
- Experience hiring and leading a team, or building a function from early stage with a clear plan for who to add and when.
- Recent hands-on ownership of a company's social channels. You can show us accounts you ran and copy you wrote.
- Experience building a developer community or program, with results you can explain.
- Experience shaping a brand voice, and examples of how it changed the way a company sounded.
- Fluency with developer audiences and enough technical comfort to write accurately about infrastructure, with the judgment to check with an engineer first.
- You work without a playbook and with little direction across Marketing, Product, and Engineering.
- Steady judgment when something goes wrong in public.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience at a developer tools, cloud, or infrastructure company.
- You've run a creator, influencer, or ambassador program.
- An active personal presence on X, LinkedIn, YouTube, or another platform developers use.
- Comfort on camera or behind a mic.
If this role excites you but you don’t meet every single requirement, we’d still love to hear from you—your unique experience might be just what we need.
BENEFITS
- 4 weeks of paid vacation.
- 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all parents to bond with a newly born, adopted, or fostered child. We will also work with you to create a supportive plan of return.
- Long-term disability, life insurance, and 401K plans.
- 100% employer-paid medical coverage and 99% employer-paid dental and vision coverage for you and a dependent. FSAs and HSAs are available as well.
- Monthly lifestyle stipend for wellness, mental health and therapy, hobbies, etc.
- Monthly cell phone and internet subsidy.
- Commuter benefits for Renders in the Bay Area, and home office stipends for remote Renders.
- Continuous learning benefits & related support.

HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.

You are directly responsible for educating prospects, providing inspiring product demonstrations, and onboarding companies’ key stakeholders as you make the transition from prospect to customer.
At the same time, we expect you to understand, embrace and apply the Alan Smart & Soft selling method. This method stems from the concept that the prospect experience is an inseparable piece of the overall Alan customer experience.
You are expected to make this experience pleasant, instructive and delightful by leveraging the most relevant messaging and materials (Smart) and by defining the high-touch strategy that suits best each prospect (Soft).
We also expect you to look at the big picture and help us grow and improve as a company. For that, you’ll have to be real team players even beyond your role. You’ll be expected to challenge us to improve our product(s), our methods and our strategy, and get involved in other projects and initiatives relevant to growing our customer base.

1Password is growing. We’ve surpassed $500M in ARR and we’re continuing to accelerate, earning a spot on the Forbes Cloud 100 for four years in a row and teaming up with iconic partners like Oracle Red Bull Racing.
About 1Password
At 1Password, we’re building the foundation for a safe, productive digital future. Our mission is to unleash employee productivity without compromising security by ensuring every identity is authentic, every application sign-in is secure, and every device is trusted. We innovated the market-leading enterprise password manager and pioneered Unified Access Management, a new cybersecurity category built for the way people and AI agents work today. As one of the most loved brands in cybersecurity, we take a human-centric approach in everything from product strategy to user experience. Over 180,000 businesses, from Fortune 100 leaders to the world’s most innovative AI companies, trust 1Password to help their teams securely adopt the SaaS and AI tools they need to do their best work.
If you're excited about the opportunity to contribute to the digital safety of millions, to work alongside a team of curious, driven individuals, and to solve hard problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you. Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future.
As a Staff Demo Engineer on the Demo Engineering team, you’ll shape the technical tooling and platform behind 1Password’s go-to-market demo experience. You’ll build scalable demo environments, interactive product experiences, and shared infrastructure that help teams communicate 1Password’s value across the customer journey. Your work will help make secure access simpler and support 1Password’s mission to create a safer, simpler digital future for everyone.
How we’re using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
- Bring substantial experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, platform engineering, technical marketing, DevOps, solutions architecture, or demo engineering.
- Apply experience in cybersecurity, identity, Privileged Access Management (PAM), developer tools, or a related technical domain.
- Build full-stack and automation solutions using technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, React, or Python, with experience designing systems that other engineers can build on.
- Design and operate infrastructure using infrastructure as code, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), containers, and cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Understand identity and access management concepts, including single sign-on (SSO), Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), OpenID Connect (OIDC), System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM), device trust, passwordless authentication, and passkeys.
- Balance speed, reliability, cost, and security while explaining technical tradeoffs clearly to technical and non-technical partners.
- Create interactive software-as-a-service (SaaS) demos and guided product experiences using platforms such as Reprise, Navattic, Walnut, or Arcade; experience with mobile device management (MDM) tools such as Jamf, live event demos, utilization analysis, artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted tooling, or Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers is also valuable.
What you can expect:
- Set the technical vision, roadmap, and long-term architecture for 1Password’s demo platform.
- Lead the design of shared demo infrastructure, including templates, automated provisioning and resets, data generation, and observability.
- Build sample applications and integrations across 1Password products to support demos and enablement programs.
- Support complex, high-visibility demos for flagship launches, keynotes, conferences, and strategic customer opportunities.
- Drive AI-assisted tooling that automates demo preparation, validation, and maintenance.
- Partner with Engineering Security on demo environments and lead architecture and code reviews.
- Mentor Demo Engineers and Senior Demo Engineers while representing Demo Engineering in cross-functional technical decisions and product roadmap discussions.
- Travel quarterly, including cross-border travel, for conferences and company offsites.

How we work with AI
We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission.
