About Our Clients
Our client manages a portfolio of four consumer brands spanning home fragrance, energy bars, men's grooming, and better-for-you snacks.

This is an individual contributor role, not a team management or agency management position.
We are specifically looking for someone who builds and executes campaigns themselves rather than directing others to do the work.
Key responsibilities
Email Marketing Execution
Personally build, test, and maintain lifecycle email flows across multiple Shopify DTC brands, including welcome, abandoned browse and cart, post-purchase, replenishment, winback, subscription lifecycle, dunning, failed payment recovery, and cancellation prevention.

Develop customer segments based on purchase history, customer behavior, subscription status, and engagement.
Manage email campaign calendars and ensure consistent execution across multiple brands.
Build and maintain reusable email templates and modules while adapting messaging to each brand's voice.
Write compelling email copy, including subject lines, preview text, body copy, and promotional messaging.
Manage email deliverability, list health, suppression policies, sunset strategies, sending domains, inbox placement, and domain warm-up.

Personally manage SMS marketing campaigns and automation using Klaviyo SMS, Attentive, Postscript, or similar platforms.
Build and maintain SMS flows, including welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, subscription reminders, replenishment, and retention campaigns.
Develop SMS campaign calendars and manage messaging frequency to maximize revenue while minimizing customer fatigue.
Grow SMS subscriber lists through website capture forms, checkout consent, and post-purchase opportunities.
Manage SMS subscriber segmentation, opt-in quality, and compliance.
Ensure compliance with consent requirements, quiet hours, and transactional versus promotional messaging regulations.
Subscription Retention
Build and optimize email and SMS communication for subscription-based customers.
Develop strategies to reduce subscription churn and improve customer lifetime value.
Manage subscription lifecycle communications, including billing reminders, failed payment recovery, skip and delay options, cancellation saves, and replenishment.
Segment customers based on subscription status, order history, and product consumption behavior.
Identify opportunities to improve customer retention through lifecycle automation.
Performance Analysis and Optimization
Monitor email and SMS performance weekly, including revenue, revenue per recipient, open rates, click rates, conversion rates, unsubscribe rates, spam complaints, and subscriber growth.
Analyze campaign and flow performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Conduct structured A/B testing and experiments using hypotheses, control groups, and measurable outcomes.
Distinguish between attributed revenue and incremental revenue when evaluating campaign performance.
Independently pull reports, interpret data, and communicate actionable performance insights.
Identify underperforming campaigns and proactively recommend improvements.
Creative Development and Campaign QA
Build and adapt email creative using Figma or similar design tools.
Create and maintain reusable email templates and layouts across multiple brands.
Adapt creative assets and messaging to maintain each brand's identity.
Independently handle straightforward creative adjustments without relying on designers.
Perform thorough campaign QA, including links, personalization, rendering, segmentation, discount codes, and automation logic.
AI and Process Optimization
Use AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to improve copywriting, segmentation, reporting, campaign QA, and workflow efficiency.
Integrate AI into daily marketing workflows to improve productivity and execution quality.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve marketing processes.
Requirements
At least 3 years of direct, hands-on Klaviyo experience.
Currently working directly inside Klaviyo and personally building flows, segments, templates, and campaigns.
Demonstrated experience independently executing email marketing campaigns and lifecycle automation.

Direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce experience, preferably with Shopify.
Experience working with subscription-based e-commerce brands.
Proven ability to improve email and SMS performance with measurable results.
Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing, segmentation, customer retention, and subscription marketing.

Understanding of email deliverability, list management, and inbox placement.
Strong written English communication skills.
Practical experience using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT in marketing workflows.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.

About Vercel:
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.
Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.
About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on leader to build, coach, and scale a team of Startup Account Executives focused on growing and scaling our largest and fastest-growing startup customers. These companies are often doubling usage in months, shipping AI-native products, and making decisions that will shape their architecture for years. Your team will be their strategic partner through that growth.
You'll hire, mentor, and develop top talent, and roll up your sleeves to work deals alongside the team. You'll help customers deepen adoption, expand into new use cases across Vercel's platform and Agent Stack, and move to commercial structures that fit their scale. By using AI and automation to maximize your team's impact, you'll turn expansion wins into repeatable playbooks across the startup segment.
If you’re based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, London, or Berlin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. If you're located beyond that distance, the role is fully remote. For location-specific details, please connect with our recruiting team.
About Startups at Vercel:
Vercel Startups partners with founders from the first line of code through hypergrowth. Startups move faster than ever, and the infrastructure decisions they make early either unlock scale or become long-term constraints. The Install Base team partners with our largest and fastest-growing startup customers, helping them scale on Vercel as usage, teams, and ambitions grow, and making sure Vercel stays the foundation they build on as they move toward enterprise.
We're a talent-dense team of former founders, engineers, and go-to-market operators. Many of us have sat on the other side of the table making architectural tradeoffs under real constraints, and we bring that perspective into every conversation. We operate with high trust, high agency, and shared ownership: curious, resilient, and willing to push through hard problems to help startups win.
What You Will Do:
Build the team
Hire & Build
: Recruit, onboard, and ramp a high-performing team of Install Base Startup AEs.
Coach & Mentor
: Run ongoing coaching, 1:1s, call reviews, and deal strategy sessions to develop reps into trusted partners for founders, CTOs, engineering and finance leaders.
Hands-On Leadership
: Join calls, dig into product demos and architecture conversations, and co-own deals with your team from first outreach through close.
Run the motion
Pipeline Generation
: Prospect to generate and advance outbound expansion pipeline across the existing customer base, using usage and growth signals to find new contacts, workloads and use cases before customers come to us.
New Product Adoption
: Drive adoption of new products across Vercel’s platform. That means scoping use cases, running POCs with Solutions Architects and proving value before the commercial conversation.
Commercial Execution
: Negotiate and close upsell, cross-sell and commit deals, moving customers from self-serve and early contracts to multi-year, enterprise-grade partnerships.
Account Strategy & Retention
: Build strategic relationships with founders, technical buyers and business stakeholders to get ahead of each account’s next stage of growth. Own net revenue retention and renewals across your book of business.
Scale the business
Build the Consumption Playbook
: Help design and refine the consumption-based sales motion, creating the playbooks and best practices other sales teams will adopt.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
: Partner with Solutions Architects, Product, Marketing, RevOps, and the Activations and Greenfield teams so customers get what they need to grow and succeed on Vercel.
Data-Driven Management
: Use usage and growth signals to prioritize accounts, track performance against goals, forecast accurately, and drive continuous improvement in execution.
About You:
5+ years of SaaS sales experience, ideally in mid-market or high-growth segments, including 2+ years managing Account Executives.
A full-cycle seller who has generated outbound pipeline, run proofs of concept, and multi-threaded across technical and business stakeholders. You have a history of closing large, complex six-figure-plus SaaS deals.
A proven track record of hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing sales teams.
A hands-on leader who thrives as a player-coach.
Confident leading conversations about AI, infrastructure, and technical products. You don't need to be an engineer, but you must be credible with technical buyers.
Curiosity about AI-native development and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, balancing strategy with execution.
Bonus If You:
Have sold developer tools, infrastructure, AI/ML products, or other technical platforms to startups.
Have driven multi-product adoption within existing accounts, growing single-product customers into platform customers.
Have experience with usage-based or consumption pricing models.
Have strong cross-functional instincts, from scaling a sales motion to sharing insights company-wide.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive compensation package, including equity.
Inclusive Healthcare Package.
Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Nonprofits, universities and other mission-driven organizations do some of the hardest work in the world, usually with small teams and little technical capacity. As a Scaled Account Manager in Beneficial Deployments, you will be the person a named book of these organizations can rely on. You will own each customer relationship after the first conversation, including commercials, activation and the conversations that turn a new deployment into everyday use.
This role sits on the Scaled Sales team within Beneficial Deployments, the part of Anthropic that brings Claude to mission-driven organizations sooner and further than the market would on its own. You will work with little to no dedicated Customer Success support, so you are both the seller and the person who helps a customer get real value.
That is only possible if you work differently. You will use Claude to take on the short-horizon tasks that consume a book like this, and spend your time on strategic conversations. The role will also change. As we automate more of this work, the book will take less of your time, and that time moves to growth: deeper work with your highest-potential accounts, launches, events and programs that reach many more organizations. We are hiring someone who wants that: someone who will automate parts of their own job and move on to the next hard problem.
What you'll do
Own a named book of nonprofit and education customers.
Take over existing relationships and run them end to end: retention, seat growth, plan moves and new contacts inside each organization.
Drive activation yourself.
Help priority customers in the segment go from purchased seats to weekly use, starting with where staff lose the most time: fundraising, grant writing, reporting and program operations at nonprofits, or research support, teaching and administration in higher ed.
Automate your own work.
Use Claude to handle account research, follow-ups, usage reviews and routine questions, then share what works so the whole team can use it.
Spend your time on strategic conversations.
Work with executive directors, operations leads, and IT and academic leaders at universities to find the use cases that matter to their mission and agree what success looks like.
Spot who is ready for more.
Identify customers moving from individual productivity toward redesigned workflows, build the case, and bring in Applied AI or other specialists when they qualify for deeper support.
Build programs, not one-offs.
When ten customers have the same problem, create a playbook, webinar or cohort that solves it once.
Be the voice of your book.
Bring what you hear to Product, Marketing, Support and Operations, and work across those teams to get customer problems fixed.
Where your time goes as we automate
The role starts mostly account-facing. Over roughly the first six months, we expect Claude to take on much of the routine work, and your time shifts toward growth. Examples of where it goes:
Deeper with priority accounts.
Spend real time with the 10 to 15% of your book that can move from individual productivity to redesigned workflows, and get them there.
Quarterly launches.
Beneficial Deployments brings new offerings to the nonprofit and education community each quarter. Help drive them: coordinate across Marketing, Comms and partner teams, and make sure your customers benefit.
Events.
Help shape and run the events, local and eventually international, that become a core part of how we reach new organizations.
New signups and scaled partnerships.
Contribute to the motions that bring new organizations onto Claude, including partner channels and programs for segments we don't yet serve well.
The exact mix will change, and you will help decide it. Part of the job is working out which tasks should be automated and which still deserve a person's time.
You may be a good fit if you have
3+ years of account management or customer success experience with nonprofit or higher education customers, with a proven track record of growing retention and driving adoption of new technology
Have owned customer relationships in an account management or customer success role, and can point to accounts you grew, retained or turned around
Use AI in your own work today, and can show a workflow you built that gave you real time back
Bring structure to unfamiliar problems, and can move from a messy situation to a clear plan quickly
Have run multi-step programs or projects with several stakeholders and kept them on track
Have got things done through people you did not manage, across teams in a larger organization
Stay effective when your job changes, and would see automating part of your role as a win
Can explain AI plainly to people who are skeptical, busy or new to it
Care about the mission of nonprofits and educational institutions, and about AI being developed and deployed safely
Strong candidates may also
Have built something from zero, such as a company, a product, a sales motion or a new program, or been an early employee at a startup
Have a consulting background, with experience across many sectors and problem types
Have worked at an AI-native company or sold AI products, or moved from business development into owning accounts
Have worked in or with nonprofits, foundations, Universities or other mission-driven organizations
Understand how nonprofits and universities buy, including boards, funders, procurement cycles and tight budgets
Have used usage data to prioritize a large book of accounts
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$222,800
—
$290,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
For roles performing work in California:
We will consider for employment all qualified applicants, including those with arrest or conviction records or criminal histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws, including the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, the City of Los Angeles’ Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers, and the California Fair Chance Act.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.

In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
