ABOUT CLIPBOARD
Our mission is to uplift as many communities as possible. We do this through our app-based marketplace that connects healthcare professionals with the workplaces that need amazing workers. This enables hundreds of thousands of people to achieve financial stability for themselves and their families while providing essential care to millions of people across the U.S.
Founded in 2016, we are a remote-first team of over 1,000 people building a top Y-Combinator company https://www.ycombinator.com/topcompanies/ and have been profitable since 2022. We’re the leader in Long-Term Care staffing and are rapidly expanding into Home Health, Hospitals, and more, meaning we have more work to do than people to do it, and are growing our team to support millions more people and their communities.
About the Role
The Sales Commission Analyst role sits at the intersection of finance, sales operations, and analytics. Owning the accuracy, integrity, and clarity of how Clipboard pays its revenue-generating teams.
You're likely someone with sharp spreadsheet instincts and a low tolerance for unexplained numbers. You're comfortable enough in SQL to pull your own data, fluent in comp plan mechanics, and just as capable of explaining a payout discrepancy in plain English to a rep as you are tracing the formula that caused it. You take ownership of the details because you know one uninvestigated row error erodes trust in the whole system.
You will:
- Calculate and process commission payouts accurately and on time each pay cycle, catching and resolving discrepancies before they land in a paycheck.
- Own the mechanics of our commission plans, the calculations, tiers, and accelerators. Keeping the spreadsheets and systems that run them aligned to plan documentation.
- Query and reconcile data across systems to validate commissionable revenue and investigate payout questions.
- Partner with Sales, Finance, and RevOps to roll out new or updated comp plans, translating plan changes into working, auditable calculations.
- Field and resolve rep-facing commission questions with clear, reliable written communication.
- Build and maintain tools and dashboards that make commission tracking transparent and self-service for reps and managers.
What you bring:
- Spreadsheet mastery. You build and audit complex, multi-tab models without breaking them.
- Working SQL skills, comfortable pulling and reconciling data across sources.
- Comp plan literacy. You can read a plan document and translate it into an accurate calculation.
- Sharp attention to detail; you catch the error before it becomes a payout problem.
- Strong, reliable written communication for explaining numbers to non-analysts.
- Project ownership. You can take a commission cycle or plan rollout from start to finish with minimal oversight.
Experience
- 0-2 years in FP&A, sales operations, commissions/compensation, analytics, or a comparable analytical role.
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary
- Insurance benefits and 401k options
- Unlimited PTO and flexible holidays
- Remote-first flexibility

1Password is growing. We’ve surpassed $400M in ARR and we’re continuing to accelerate, earning a spot on the Forbes Cloud 100 for four years in a row and teaming up with iconic partners like Oracle Red Bull Racing.
About 1Password
At 1Password, we’re building the foundation for a safe, productive digital future. Our mission is to unleash employee productivity without compromising security by ensuring every identity is authentic, every application sign-in is secure, and every device is trusted. We innovated the market-leading enterprise password manager and pioneered Unified Access Management, a new cybersecurity category built for the way people and AI agents work today. As one of the most loved brands in cybersecurity, we take a human-centric approach in everything from product strategy to user experience. Over 180,000 businesses, from Fortune 100 leaders to the world’s most innovative AI companies, trust 1Password to help their teams securely adopt the SaaS and AI tools they need to do their best work.
If you're excited about the opportunity to contribute to the digital safety of millions, to work alongside a team of curious, driven individuals, and to solve hard problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you. Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future.
1Password's Solutions Marketing team is responsible for the stories, use cases, competitive narratives, and go-to-market (GTM) assets that sellers rely on every day. Solutions Marketing is building an AI-native service for Sales. Instead of asking sellers to search static playbooks and personalize assets for each of their accounts themselves, the AI service will create signal-driven guidance, personalized messaging, and always-current content for each selling situation.
You’ll build and operate the internal AI services that help sellers find current market intelligence, create tailored sales assets, and respond to deal signals without relying on static playbooks. This role is responsible for designing, building, and running the agent systems that support sellers across account planning, active deals, campaigns, competitive positioning, and sales enablement. You’ll work with large language model providers, coding agents, retrieval systems, and modern agent frameworks. Current examples include Claude, Codex, and other tools selected for reliability, security, and fit.
This is an internal product engineering role. You’ll treat Sales and Marketing teams as users, build against their real workflows, and turn successful solutions into maintained capabilities that can serve the broader organization.
You’ll sit within Solutions Marketing and work closely with Sales leadership, Marketing Operations, Data, Security, and central IT. You’ll own product and workflow decisions for Solutions Marketing systems while partnering with central IT and Engineering on shared infrastructure, access controls, security reviews, and production operations.
If you've been building with agents, workflows, and production AI systems and want to do it inside a company that ships AI to production, this is that role.
How we’re using AI today
On the Marketing team, we’re growing our AI capability together and redesigning how work gets done. We’ve built agents to improve workflows focused on competitive intelligence, content creation, and campaign planning, helping us stay sharp, reduce context-switching, and surface the right information at the right time. AI helps us coordinate, execute, and uncover insights faster so we can spend more time on what’s most important: performance, judgement, and driving the future of 1Password.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What you will build:
- Discover and define workflows: Work directly with sellers, product marketing managers (PMMs), and campaign managers to map how they work today, where time is wasted, and what good output looks like. Begin with direct observation and conversations with the people doing the work, then turn those insights into clear technical requirements.
- Define the agent runtime and application architecture: Design how the system manages context, state, tools, permissions, retrieval, evaluation, and human review. Define how it ingests account signals and playbook intelligence, routes requests to specialist agents, and surfaces outputs in the tools teams already use.
- Design trusted knowledge flows: Define how the system finds, evaluates, and uses account, persona, product, competitive, and campaign information. Make thoughtful decisions about source-of-truth systems, information freshness, conflicting sources, structured and unstructured data, and provenance.
- Build routing and specialist agents: Build the routing and execution system that selects the right tools, data sources, and specialist agents for each request. Cover sales asset generation, campaign briefs, competitive responses, copy production, and field support for active deals.
- Integrate with Sales AI and go-to-market platforms: Connect the AI layer to the platforms 1Password runs on, including Salesforce, Seismic, Gong, Notion, Snowflake, and Slack. Ensure it works alongside existing Sales AI tools and workflows, with permission-aware tool use and clear boundaries for what each agent can access and change.
- Design for trusted access and safe autonomy: Design and test permission-aware retrieval, source-level authorization, audit trails, provenance capture, prompt injection defenses, retention and deletion controls, and safe handling of customer and account information. Define where agents can act independently, where human approval is required, and how the system records those decisions.
- Evaluate and improve agent behavior: Tune agent behavior using representative evaluation sets, seller feedback, usage data, and output quality signals. Measure accuracy, relevance, consistency, editing effort, adoption, and other workflow-specific outcomes. Improve prompts, tools, retrieval, models, and agent behavior as the go-to-market motion and product landscape evolves.
- Build quality and reliability guardrails: Build evaluation frameworks, regression pipelines, release checks, and escalation paths that keep outputs accurate, useful, on-brand, and consistent. Define how workflows handle uncertainty, failure, and human review. Production output is valuable only when it is trustworthy and useful to the teams receiving it.
- Operate and evolve the system: Own the roadmap and the full lifecycle of the systems you build, from prototype through reliable production use and eventual retirement. Monitor system performance, usage, quality, latency, and cost. Identify what to build next, deprecate what is not working, and partner with the appropriate teams to resolve failures and improve reliability.
How success will be measured:
- Measure time to find relevant account and persona intelligence across defined seller workflows.
- Generated assets take less time to produce and require less manual editing.
- Agent outputs include current sources and clear provenance.
- Track unsupported claims, stale-source usage, citation coverage, and manual editing effort over time.
- Track adoption and repeat usage among defined seller and product marketing manager cohorts.
- Time-to-response, cost-per-request, and output accuracy tracked against defined thresholds for each workflow in production.
What we are looking for:
You have shipped AI-enabled software that real users rely on.
- You have 6+ years of experience in Marketing, GTM, Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, Data Science, Analytics Engineering, Software Engineering, or related systems roles.
- You also have at least 1-2 years of hands-on experience designing, building, and operating workflows that use large language model APIs, tool calling, retrieval, structured outputs, and agent patterns. Two or more years of direct experience is preferred.
- Agent-system architecture: Experience designing workflows with clear agent boundaries, context and state management, permission-aware tool use, evaluation, observability, failure handling, and human escalation. Familiarity with tools such as Claude, Codex, Cursor, Dust, LangChain, or LangGraph is useful but not required.
- Technical judgment: Choose the simplest reliable approach for the problem. Know when to use deterministic code, a workflow, retrieval, a single agent, multiple agents, or human review. Avoid adding agentic complexity where it does not create meaningful value.
- Builder's instinct: you'd rather put a working prototype in front of a seller today than write a spec about what's theoretically possible next quarter.
- Evaluation: Experience building evaluation frameworks to measure agent output quality through prompt evaluations, output scoring, and regression testing against verified examples.
- User-centered delivery: Prototype quickly with users, learn from real feedback, and turn what works into documented, reliable production systems.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Translate workflow needs and feedback from PMMs, sellers, and campaign managers into clear technical requirements.
- Technical communication: Explain system architecture and technical tradeoffs to engineers, then translate workflow constraints and user feedback into clear decisions with PMMs and sellers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Go-to-market fluency: Working knowledge of business-to-business software as a service (B2B SaaS) marketing and sales workflows, including personas, buying stages, positioning, competitive narratives, campaigns, sales enablement, and content governance. Able to translate feedback from PMMs, sellers, and campaign managers into clear product requirements and measurable improvements.
- Sales, marketing, and data platforms: Familiarity with Seismic, Salesforce, Gong, Notion, Snowflake, or Slack APIs; experience with integration platform as a service (iPaaS) tools for cross-system automation; exposure to B2B SaaS or enterprise go-to-market environments.

✨ ONE PLATFORM, A WHOLE WORLD OF OPPORTUNITY
The best jobs have always clustered in a handful of the world's wealthiest cities. But talent is everywhere. Oyster set out to close that gap - building a global employment platform that lets companies hire, pay, and care for brilliant people anywhere.
We're proof that a high-performing culture doesn't need an office. Distributed across 60+ countries since 2020, we've built something the industry keeps noticing:
- Ranked #10 of 250 on TIME and Statista's 2026 list of America's Top WorkTech Companies https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-hr-named-10-of-americas-top-worktech-companies-of-2026-by-time
- Named one of America's Greatest Startup Workplaces 2026 https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-2026-newsweek-award by Newsweek
- A G2 Spring 2026 Leader https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-named-best-roi-for-any-global-employment-platform-for-g2-spring-2026 across Employer of Record, Global Employment, Multi-country Payroll, and HR Compliance
- The only B Corp-certified global employment platform ~ independently verified since 2023
Two of those rankings measured our business impact from the outside. One measured how our own people feel about working here. They landed in the same place ~ because at Oyster, culture and performance aren't separate conversations. They're the same one.
And we're just getting started. If you want to do the best work of your career alongside people who care as much as you do, we'd love for you to apply.
Location: To create the best experience for this employee and meet business needs, this role requires you to be based within the EMEA region.
ROLE SUMMARY
This is an exciting time to join Oyster. The Netherlands is one of our most important markets—this role will give you real ownership over how payroll runs, with the scope to help us achieve best-in-class payroll standards at scale.
You'll be a valued member of our in-house payroll team: someone we trust to accurately produce your assigned stream of Dutch payroll each cycle, follow our AFAS processes closely, and flag anything that doesn't look right. If you have hands-on native Dutch payroll experience, are comfortable executing structured processes with care, and want to build your skills within a payroll function that's still taking shape, this role is for you.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process payroll accurately. Produce your assigned stream of the native Dutch payroll cycle in-house each period; accurate, compliant, and on time.
- Master data accuracy. Process and check employee payroll master data — new hires, terminations, salary changes, variable pay, benefits, absences, and garnishments (loonbeslag) — following defined procedures and flagging anything unclear or that looks off.
- Payroll controls & quality. Run pre- and post-payroll validations each cycle; check your own work carefully, and flag anything that doesn't look right before issues reach team members, customers, or Finance.
- Handle all statutory filings & accesses. monthly loonaangifte filings to the Belastingdienst, UWV wage declarations, and the annual jaarloonopgaaf, filing of Ziektewet and WAZO reimbursement claims with UWV, owning the retrieval and maintenance of employee loonheffingskorting data: you follow established procedures for these activities and flag anything that looks off. You'll support the setup and maintenance of required government accesses as directed.
- Follow the payroll system procedures. Follow defined steps to help maintain the in-house payroll system, test legislative updates before they go live as directed, and flag issues or ideas to your team lead or our Product team.
- Build your subject matter knowledge. Learn and follow Loonheffingenrecht, Socialezekerheidsrecht, Arbeidsrecht, and CAO (Collectieve Arbeidsovereenkomst) as they apply to your work, and ask questions when something is unclear.
- Check your numbers. Check payroll journals and GL mappings against your outputs, and flag any data integrity issues you notice.
- Handle assigned tickets. Handle assigned client payroll tickets well, and escalate anything that exceeds your frame to senior team members. Pair careful, accurate work with a customer-first mindset.
- Reporting. Help prepare statutory and ad-hoc reports to meet regulatory requirements, including EU Pay Transparency Directive obligations, Ondernemingsraad (OR)-facing pay assessment documentation, and AVG/GDPR compliance across payroll data.
- Audits. Provide structured data and documentation to support internal and external audits.
- Support the team. Follow SOPs closely and flag gaps when you spot them. Share knowledge when asked and support your peers informally, helping keep our living knowledge base — playbooks and SOPs — documented and shared.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 1–3 years running native (in-house) payroll processes for the Netherlands, comfortable independently handling a defined volume of payslips per month.
- Hands-on AFAS and / or Nmbrs by Visma and / or Loket.nl http://Loket.nl processing experience.
- Completed the Praktijkdiploma Loonadministratie (PDL) and/or NIRPA Register Salarisadministrateur (RSa) registration.
- Working knowledge of Dutch wage tax, social insurance, and labor law, with a willingness to build deeper expertise over time.
- Dutch at C1/C2 for interaction with local authorities and fluent English for collaborating with our async global team.
- Comfortable handling assigned client queries and escalating anything beyond your scope with clear context; balancing careful, accurate work with a genuine customer-first mindset.
- A careful, detail-oriented mindset. You check your own work thoroughly and flag patterns or issues as you notice them.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity within your own workstream, and know when to escalate something that falls outside your frame.
- You're happy to share knowledge when asked and support your peers informally.
- Comfortable working largely asynchronously in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- A broader accounting background or qualification (e.g. RA/AA accountancy qualification); particularly useful for the GL mapping and reconciliation side of the role.
- Proven experience working on and delivering cross-functional HR/Payroll projects.
- Hands-on capability working with AI tools to optimize payroll or operations workflows.
- Strong data transformation skills and practical experience with data analytics platforms.

ABOUT DOCKER
Docker has been one of the most loved brands in developer tooling, trusted by more than 20 million monthly users and over 20 billion container image pulls. From solo founders to the world's largest companies, developers rely on Docker to build, share, and run their applications across our suite of products including Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, and Docker Scout.
We are a globally distributed, remote-first team building the tools that define how software gets built and delivered. As AI agents redefine software development, Docker is at the center of that shift, providing the sandboxed environments, verified images, and secure infrastructure that make autonomous workflows trustworthy by default.
_______________________________________________________________________
Nowhere is that shift harder, or higher stakes, than in government. Federal agencies are being asked to adopt AI quickly while proving that every model, every artifact, and every build step is governed, attested, and auditable. We are hiring a Principal Sales Engineer to own the technical side of that conversation across the US Public Sector.
This is a single seat covering both the Department of War and Federal Civilian. You will be the technical face of Docker to agency CIOs, CISOs, program offices, and the platform teams who actually run the pipelines, partnering with our Federal Account Executives to shape requirements early and win competitive technical evaluations.
You will act as a trusted technical advisor and champion owner, partnering closely with Account Executives, Post Sales, Product, and our partner and reseller ecosystem to drive measurable mission and technical value through:
- Technical Selling and Deal Shaping
- AI Governance and Secure Software Supply Chain Thought Leadership
- Federal Compliance and Accreditation Fluency
- Technical Champion Ownership
- Customer and Internal Advocacy
- Competitive and Strategic Selling
This role reports to the Director of Solutions Engineering and operates at the intersection of technical depth, mission understanding, and competitive selling discipline.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Selling and Deal Shaping
- Lead deep technical discovery across program offices, platform and DevSecOps teams, security organizations, and AI/ML groups to understand:
- AI governance and responsible AI requirements, including agency guidance and NIST AI Risk Management Framework alignment
- Software supply chain risk posture and secure software development expectations
- Accreditation and authorization constraints, including ATO timelines and continuous authorization goals
- Air-gapped, classified, and disconnected environment requirements
- Shape technical requirements early in the acquisition cycle so that agency evaluation criteria reflect Docker's differentiated value in AI governance, container and artifact security, and software supply chain integrity.
- Design, position, and execute structured PoCs and PoVs focused on:
- Policy enforcement and policy-as-code
- Image and artifact integrity, provenance, and attestation
- SBOM generation and visibility
- Hardened and minimal base images for regulated workloads, including FIPS and STIG-aligned variants
- AI workload governance controls and sandboxed agentic development
- Secure build pipelines in constrained and disconnected networks
- Define clear success criteria, evaluation frameworks, and executive-ready value summaries that a program executive can carry into a funding conversation.
- Influence decision-making through demos, workshops, architecture reviews, technical exchange meetings, and executive briefings.
- Translate complex AI security and governance capabilities into mission outcomes for CIOs, CISOs, Chief Data and AI Officers, and program leadership.
AI Governance and Secure Software Supply Chain Thought Leadership
- Establish credibility as a trusted advisor on:
- Responsible AI development practices in government
- Secure AI model and agent lifecycle management
- Software supply chain integrity and provenance
- Container and artifact security in accredited environments
- DevSecOps practice in federal platform organizations
- Guide agency teams in implementing governance controls across AI-enabled SDLC workflows, including identity and access governance for AI workloads and policy-as-code enforcement.
- Represent Docker publicly in the federal community through industry days, agency technical exchange meetings, conference sessions, webinars, and written content such as reference architectures and whitepapers.
Federal Compliance and Accreditation Fluency
- Serve as the team's subject matter expert on how Docker's products fit inside federal security and accreditation frameworks, and on what evidence agency assessors and authorizing officials will ask for.
- Position and explain the compliance artifacts Docker Hardened Images produce, including FIPS image variants built on FIPS 140 validated cryptographic modules, STIG scan results aligned to the DoW General Purpose Operating System SRG, and the signed attestations that accompany both. Help customers understand precisely what those artifacts do and do not establish for their own authorization package.
- Work fluently with the language and constraints of FedRAMP, NIST 800-53 and 800-171, the NIST Secure Software Development Framework, DISA STIGs and SRGs, DoW Impact Levels, and continuous ATO models.
- Support responses to RFIs, RFPs, security questionnaires, and technical evaluation criteria, partnering with Sales, Legal, Product, and Security.
- Advise on deployment patterns for on-premises, air-gapped, and government cloud environments, and work with partners and system integrators where they carry the delivery.
Technical Champion Ownership
- Build, own, and expand relationships with technical champions across security, platform, DevSecOps, and AI teams inside agencies and their supporting integrators.
- Leverage champion relationships to influence broader buying groups, shape requirements, and uncover expansion across programs and sub-agencies.
- Maintain engagement beyond initial award so outcomes are realized and renewals and expansions are earned.
Customer and Internal Advocacy
- Advocate for federal customer needs with Product and Engineering, providing clear, actionable feedback informed by field experience. You will be the primary voice inside Docker for what the public sector actually needs.
- Coordinate with Post Sales and Support to ensure continuity across the customer lifecycle, including in environments where Docker staff have limited access.
- Develop reusable technical assets (workshops, demos, reference architectures, compliance briefings, enablement content) that scale across agencies and across the wider Solutions Engineering team.
Competitive and Strategic Selling
- Actively support competitive motions, identifying differentiation and influencing evaluation criteria throughout the acquisition cycle.
- Partner with Account Executives, channel partners, and system integrators to develop technical win strategies for strategic federal programs.
- Support the technical side of contract vehicle and partner-led motions where Docker is sold through a reseller or integrator.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- 8+ years in technical pre-sales as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solutions Architect, selling infrastructure software, developer tools, or security products into complex enterprise or government accounts.
- 3+ years selling into US Federal, covering DoW, Federal Civilian, or both, with a demonstrable record of technical wins inside federal acquisition cycles.
- Working knowledge of federal security and accreditation frameworks: FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, DoW Impact Levels, and the ATO process.
- Strong experience running competitive PoCs and PoVs with clearly defined success and exit criteria.
- Solid understanding of containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Linux, and modern application architectures, plus the major cloud platforms including their government regions.
- Ability to engage credibly with both senior government stakeholders and the engineers who will use the product.
- Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills, including public speaking to technical government audiences.
- US citizenship. Many of the agency environments and facilities this role supports require it for access.

ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
We're looking for a Revenue Accounting Manager to own billing, contract review, and revenue recognition as Baseten scales. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role for someone who wants full ownership of the revenue cycle at a company where deal structures are getting more complex: usage-based pricing, committed capacity, credits, multi-year enterprise contracts, and new business models coming online.
You'll join Lauren, who built Baseten's quote-to-cash function from the ground up, to take on billing, contract review, and revenue recognition as deal volume and complexity grow. Having completed our first year-end audit, we're now focused on tightening contract review processes, close procedures, and reporting rigor to support the scale ahead. You'll partner closely with Lauren, FP&A, Sales, Legal, and Revenue Operations to make sure every deal is structured, billed, and recognized correctly from day one.
Baseten is building the infrastructure layer for AI-native companies, and we're scaling quickly - in deal volume, contract complexity, and customer size. If you want real ownership over a growing function on a lean team, this role offers real scope.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Revenue Recognition and Technical Accounting
- Own revenue recognition under ASC 606 across all contract types, including usage-based/consumption arrangements, committed capacity deals, credits, multi-year contracts, and new business models
- Serve as the go-to person on rev rec treatment for new deal structures, products, and pricing models
Billing Operations
- Own end-to-end billing: invoice generation, accuracy checks, and dispute resolution
- Identify and automate manual, error-prone steps in the billing-to-cash workflow
- Assist with strengthening our collections efforts and overall process
Contract Review and Deal Support
- Build and maintain a standardized contract review process for Sales and Legal, flagging non-standard terms that affect recognition before deals close
- Partner directly with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Legal as a proactive advisor on deal structuring
Sales and Indirect Tax
- Own the sales and indirect tax process, including reviewing and maintaining our tax automation tool (nexus tracking, exemption certificates, filings), and building the governance around it as we scale into new jurisdictions
Close and Reporting
- Own the revenue-related monthly close: deferred revenue rollforward, unbilled AR, credit memos, and revenue reserves
- Partner with FP&A to reconcile billed vs. recognized revenue and support ARR reporting and forecasting
- Own revenue-related audit deliverables, including technical memos and sample testing support
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years focused specifically on revenue accounting and recognition
- Deep working knowledge of ASC 606, including variable consideration, multiple performance obligations, and usage-based revenue models
- Hands-on experience reviewing and abstracting commercial contracts for accounting treatment
- Experience owning billing operations directly, not just reviewing output from a billing team
- Public company or audit-ready private company experience (Big 4 or industry, with audit exposure)
- Builder mentality with a bias toward execution; comfortable operating on a lean team relative to company scale
- Experience with NetSuite (or comparable ERP) and a modern billing platform
- Based in San Francisco or New York, with the ability to work in-person 3+ days per week
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience at a high-growth, venture-backed infrastructure or cloud company with usage-based or hybrid pricing
- Experience with committed-use/capacity contracts
- Experience overseeing sales and indirect tax compliance through an automated tax tool across multiple jurisdictions
- CPA
- Exposure to SOX controls in a revenue cycle context
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
Apply now to embark on a rewarding journey in shaping the future of AI! If you are a motivated individual with a passion for machine learning and a desire to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.
At Baseten, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status.

ABOUT US
At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.
With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Security team ensures that while AI moves at breakneck speed, everyone driving the racecar is wearing a seatbelt. We secure LangChain's core platform and protect AI agents from emerging threats. We work across the stack so developers can confidently ship from prototype to production without compromising on safety or privacy.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll be the hands-on detection and response engineer responsible for how we see, stop, and learn from threats across LangChain's production platform, cloud infrastructure, and the services that host and execute agentic workloads. You'll partner closely with Product Security to turn threat models, vulnerabilities, and incidents into telemetry, detections, and durable defenses. Your primary focus is engineering: building detection, investigation, and response systems that scale the Security team's impact beyond what manual operations allow. We are looking for engineers who think like builders, not just operators — strong software skills are a must.
This role participates in an incident on-call rotation, but its core focus is engineering systems that reduce risk, speed up investigations, and make incidents less frequent and less costly.
Location/City: San Francisco or NYC
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the detection lifecycle: Translate threat models, incidents, and attacker behavior into telemetry requirements and detections-as-code. Validate coverage, measure signal quality, tune false positives, and continuously test whether defenses work.
- Build security monitoring and telemetry: Design the telemetry pipeline end-to-end across cloud (GCP/AWS), Kubernetes, and the LangSmith/LangGraph control plane. Instrument services, define the signals that matter, and make security data reliable and useful.
- Engineer investigations and threat hunting: Build tools and workflows for proactive hunting, evidence collection, incident scoping, and containment. Turn investigation findings into new detections and lasting improvements.
- Use agents to scale the team: Build reliable internal AI agents and automation that triage alerts, enrich findings, gather evidence, scope incidents, and accelerate routine security work. Design human-in-the-loop controls and evaluations so automation is safe, observable, and trustworthy.
- Lead incident response and participate in on-call: Triage, scope, contain, and remediate security incidents, then drive postmortems that produce durable engineering changes.
- Partner with Product Security: Turn product threat models and vulnerability findings into production monitoring, and feed real-world detection and incident learnings back into secure design.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 5+ years in security engineering, with meaningful experience in detection engineering, security operations, or incident response — and the software skills to build your way out of repetitive work.
- Strong software engineering in Python or Go (TypeScript a plus). You design maintainable systems and write production code, not just one-off scripts.
- Cloud and Kubernetes detection depth: Experience with GCP or AWS logging, Kubernetes audit and runtime telemetry, workload identity, and turning raw signals into actionable detections.
- Detection and adversary expertise: The ability to model realistic attacker behavior, hunt across complex systems, test detection coverage, and distinguish meaningful signal from noise.
- Hands-on incident response: You've participated in on-call, led incidents, and written postmortems that changed how a team operates.
- Experience building reliable automation or developer-facing systems: You can design APIs and workflows, instrument what you build, evaluate quality, and operate it in production.
- A pragmatic product mindset: You can identify users and requirements, prioritize the highest-leverage problems, define success, and ship iteratively.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience building or operating AI agents for security workflows such as alert triage, investigation, evidence collection, or human-in-the-loop response.
- Proficiency using AI tooling to accelerate security investigations and engineering work.
- Understanding of AI threats, adversarial testing, and the security boundaries of LLM and agent workloads.
- Exposure to SOC 2 or ISO 27001 monitoring and evidence automation.
- Experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform or Helm.
- Experience securing both SaaS and self-hosted or air-gapped deployments.
Annual salary range: $185,000- $250,000 USD
Compensation Philosophy:
We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks.
We are hiring for this role across a range of scope, and the compensation band reflects that. Your offer depends on what we learn about your impact, craft, leadership, and communication during the interview process. We will tell you early where you’re tracking and talk comp with you before offer stage. Team members in the EU, UK, and APAC receive locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations.
BENEFITS
Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible vacation, a 401(k) plan, meals on in-office days in the US and more.
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, APAC
