From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
We are looking for a Global Head of Deal Strategy and Operations to lead the worldwide deal function for a rapidly scaling data and analytics business formed by the combination of Fivetran and dbt Labs. This is a commercial strategy role as much as an operational one with a mandate to make our deals bigger, better, and faster. The leader owns the deal structures, pricing inputs, policies, and governance that drive more revenue and higher ASP, cleaner and lower-risk terms, and real velocity across every region and segment, while de-risking the business.
This is a pivotal role at a pivotal moment. The business is integrating two commercial engines, two product portfolios, and two sets of systems into a single combined go-to-market. The role sets the strategy for how deals get structured, priced, routed, reviewed, and approved, and acts as a key commercial advisor to GTM leadership on the structures that drive growth, including ELA and commercial strategy, cross-sell, and new product launches. It leads a global team across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC and partners closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, Systems, Pricing, and Partner Marketplace to keep decisions fast, consistent, and scalable.
This leader is an equal part strategist, operator, and trusted business partner. The ideal candidate moves fluidly between long-term commercial strategy and hands-on problem solving, has a proven track record scaling a deal function in a global, complex, high-growth SaaS environment, and leads teams through change with clarity and conviction.
Reports to the SVP, Strategy and Operations. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in one of our hub offices: New York, NY; Denver, CO; Oakland, CA; or Austin, TX.
What You'll Do
Team leadership and organizational development
Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing global Deal Desk organization.
Coach the team to operate as commercial advisors to the field, raising the strategic value of every interaction with Sales.
Build capability and bench strength, reducing key-person dependency as the team scales.
Strategic leadership and vision
Own and execute the global vision for the Deal Desk organization across the combined Fivetran + dbt business.
Conceptualize and launch new, high-impact commercial strategies and deal constructs (e.g. multi-year deals, shift to consumption-based pricing, and product-specific ELAs) that grow revenue and move the business forward.
Lead commercial strategy for the Fivetran + dbt integration, landing one combined operating model, policy set, and deal construct.
Build the team structure, governance framework, and ways of working needed to support a global enterprise sales engine selling a multi-product, consumption-based portfolio.
Position the deal function as a driver of growth, net revenue retention, and cross-sell, and align the C-suite behind that mandate.
Commercial guidance and executive escalation
Provide strategic counsel to senior sales leadership and account teams on complex deal structures, pricing options, concessions, and negotiation strategy.
Act as the trusted advisor for high-risk, non-standard, and strategically significant commercial discussions.
Engage directly with customers on strategic, high-value negotiations when needed, representing the company with credibility.
AI and automation
Set the vision for an AI-native deal desk, deploying agents and automation across the deal lifecycle, including deal-structuring guidance, pricing recommendations, contract and redline review, approval routing, and risk scoring.
Build a tiered service model where automation handles standardized, low-risk deals end to end, so the team's time goes to complex, strategic ones.
Scale AI-enabled workflows that improve seller productivity, deal quality, approval consistency, and speed, building on an existing foundation of deal-desk AI agents and AI-assisted deal review.
Deal governance and cross-functional alignment
Document and enforce global approval policies, SLAs, delegation of authority, and commercial guardrails across Sales, Finance, and Legal.
Drive consistency of commercial policy, thresholds, and approval rules across all regions and product lines, so sellers get the same answer wherever a deal originates.
Own a standing deal-review and inspection cadence (deal reviews, early checkpoints, and exception tracking) that catches risk early and keeps decisions fast.
Partner with Finance and Revenue Accounting to ensure sound revenue recognition, revenue predictability, deal hygiene, and commercial compliance as consumption, ELA, and marketplace structures scale.
Deal systems and infrastructure
Lead the strategy and roadmap for deal infrastructure, ensuring scalable, efficient, compliant execution as the two companies converge onto unified quote-to-order systems.
Partner with Systems, Legal, and Finance to deliver a unified, high-quality quoting and contracting experience across CPQ, CLM, and order management.
New product introduction and pricing operations
Partner with Product, Pricing, and Monetization on new product introduction (NPI), making sure new products and packaging land with a clear deal construct, approval path, and field enablement at launch.
Oversee the Pricing Operations function, supporting packaging, SKU rationalization, and consistent, well-governed pricing execution across the portfolio.
Marketplace strategy and operations
Oversee marketplace operations across AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks, ensuring a streamlined and compliant transaction experience for customers.
Shape policies and operational standards for our marketplace presence, and drive cross-functional alignment with Finance, Product, and vendor partners to optimize transaction efficiency and financial accuracy.
Skills We're Looking For
15+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Deal Strategy, Revenue Operations or Commercial Operations within a global SaaS or subscription-based business, or Strategy Consulting with a focus on B2B Pricing and Deal Strategy.
8+ years of leadership experience scaling high-performing teams, including meaningful time at the director and ideally senior director level.
Strong command of SaaS pricing strategy, with specific depth in consumption-based pricing, commercial governance, discounting and margin considerations, and contract risk mitigation.
Track record of building scalable deal processes, implementing robust approval frameworks, and improving deal velocity in complex, high-growth environments.
Experience structuring deals across both direct and channel motions, including resellers and cloud marketplaces.
Working knowledge of revenue recognition principles, with a track record of partnering closely with Finance and Revenue Accounting on deal structure.
Experience applying AI tools to improve deal operations, approval consistency, and seller productivity.
Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives across Sales, Finance, Legal, Systems, and Product, with exceptional analytical, strategic-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Executive-level communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts simply and persuasively.
Experience with the commercial tooling a deal process runs on (CPQ, CRM, CLM, and related sales systems), enough to be a strong partner to Systems on what is feasible; specific platform experience such as Salesforce or Ironclad is a plus, not a requirement.
Experience leading through M&A, systems integration, or large-scale organizational change is a strong plus.

Marketplace strategy and operations
Oversee marketplace operations across AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks, ensuring a streamlined and compliant transaction experience for customers.

Skills We're Looking For

Shape policies and operational standards for our marketplace presence, and drive cross-functional alignment with Finance, Product, and vendor partners to optimize transaction efficiency and financial accuracy.

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Ramp's SMB sales team runs a high-velocity, full-cycle sales motion. We sell Ramp's full platform (corporate cards, expense management, bill pay, and procurement) to businesses with up to 150 employees, working with their founders, CEOs, and finance leaders.
In this role, you'll help small businesses find a better way to manage their spend and run their finances. You'll own each customer relationship from the first conversation through close: learning how the business operates today, uncovering what's slowing the team down, and showing how Ramp solves it. It's a fast-moving seat with a lot of customer conversations, so you'll sharpen your discovery and closing craft quickly and see your impact in every customer you bring on.
This is a role for a seller who has done the work at both ends of the funnel: someone who started their sales career as an SDR, earned a closing seat, and wants a much bigger volume of at-bats. You'll get coaching, a team that shares what works, and clear paths to grow into Commercial sales, Ramp's newer AI product teams, account management, or leadership.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the full sales cycle for SMB customers, from discovery and demo through pricing, negotiation, and close.
- Run 10–12 customer conversations a day while keeping a clean, accurate pipeline and forecast.
- Close at high volume (the team expects 50–60 new customers a month per rep once ramped).
- Self-source part of your business through daily outbound (about 10% of your closed-won customers).
- Run focused discovery with founders, CEOs, and finance leaders, and connect Ramp to the pain they describe.
- Learn Ramp's products and internal tools quickly, and adapt as products and workflows change.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 2–3 years of combined sales experience, including at least one year in a quota-carrying, closing AE role.
- A start in sales development (SDR or BDR) or another outbound role, with a track record of self-sourcing pipeline.
- Experience selling SaaS or tech, ideally a product similar to Ramp.
- A track record as a top performer against quota.
- Comfort leading pricing and negotiation conversations.
- Strong organization: you can prioritize a large book of deals and keep each one moving.
- Comfort with change and ambiguity in a fast-moving, high-intensity environment.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience selling to executive buyers such as CFOs, CEOs, or directors of finance.
- Familiarity with finance or Office of the CFO topics (we'll coach this).
- Experience managing a pipeline in Gong or a similar deal board with forecast categories.
BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO ALL FULL-TIME RAMP EMPLOYEES (GLOBAL)
- Flexible PTO
- Centralized home-office equipment ordering
- Health and wellness stipend
- Budget for intra-office travel
- Weekly coffee stipend

1Password is growing. We’ve surpassed $500M in ARR and we’re continuing to accelerate, earning a spot on the Forbes Cloud 100 for four years in a row and teaming up with iconic partners like Oracle Red Bull Racing.
About 1Password
At 1Password, we’re building the foundation for a safe, productive digital future. Our mission is to unleash employee productivity without compromising security by ensuring every identity is authentic, every application sign-in is secure, and every device is trusted. We innovated the market-leading enterprise password manager and pioneered Unified Access Management, a new cybersecurity category built for the way people and AI agents work today. As one of the most loved brands in cybersecurity, we take a human-centric approach in everything from product strategy to user experience. Over 180,000 businesses, from Fortune 100 leaders to the world’s most innovative AI companies, trust 1Password to help their teams securely adopt the SaaS and AI tools they need to do their best work.
If you're excited about the opportunity to contribute to the digital safety of millions, to work alongside a team of curious, driven individuals, and to solve hard problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you. Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future.
App Excellence is responsible for making 1Password reliable, performant, and native across our client and browser surfaces: macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge, and Safari. The domain spans approximately 25 individual contributors across Desktop Excellence, Mobile Excellence, and Browser Extension Excellence, with multiple Engineering Managers and technical leads.
We are hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead this domain as a connected system. This role goes beyond managing a single team. You will set strategy across platforms, lead through other managers and senior technical leaders, and establish the operating mechanisms that help End User Experience ship with confidence.
You will own the systems that connect customer health signals to engineering action, including reliability metrics, incident response, quality standards, compatibility planning, and cross-team dependency management. You will partner closely with Product, Design, Release Operations, Build and Release, CI, Security, and other organizations to balance customer outcomes, roadmap delivery, and long-term platform health.
How we’re using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
- Significant experience leading software engineering teams, including experience managing or developing other engineering leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead across multiple teams, products, or technical domains with shared dependencies.
- Experience setting strategy, shaping an operating model, and turning ambiguous problems into clear priorities and measurable outcomes.
- Strong judgment in balancing delivery speed, quality, reliability, customer impact, and long-term technical health.
- A track record of building effective partnerships across Engineering, Product, Design, and other functions.
- Experience using operational data, customer signals, and delivery metrics to guide decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to create alignment from individual contributors through senior leadership.
- A people-first leadership approach and a commitment to inclusive, healthy, and high-performing teams.
Bonus points for:
- Leading client application, mobile, desktop, browser, platform, or developer infrastructure teams.
- Building operational health, observability, reliability, or quality programs.
- Managing distributed teams and organizations through periods of growth or change.
- Working with release engineering, CI systems, platform vendors, or compatibility programs.
- Experience in security, identity, SaaS, or other products where trust and reliability are central to the customer experience.
What you can expect:
- Set the strategy and operating model for App Excellence across desktop, mobile, and browser extension teams.
- Lead through Engineering Managers, Team Leads, Staff Engineers, and other senior technical leaders, creating clarity, accountability, and a strong leadership bench.
- Establish shared practices for operational health, observability, quality, release readiness, and protection of critical customer journeys.
- Connect signals such as Bad User Days, crashes, latency, incidents, and key-flow success to prioritization and roadmap decisions.
- Drive cross-team planning and trade-offs across platform compatibility, release, build, CI, and other shared dependencies.
- Build strong partnerships across Engineering, Product, Design, Security, Release Operations, and other stakeholders.
- Represent App Excellence in organizational planning, capacity planning, and senior leadership discussions.
- Hire, coach, and develop managers and senior technical leaders while fostering an inclusive, healthy, and high-performing environment.
- Identify systemic risks and create simple, durable mechanisms that improve delivery and customer outcomes.
What success looks like:
- App Excellence has clear ownership, decision rights, and priorities across its teams and platforms.
- Health and quality signals consistently move from detection to ownership to resolution.
- Cross-team delivery is predictable, with dependencies and risks surfaced early.
- Critical customer paths have explicit quality standards and reliable verification practices.
- Engineering Managers and senior technical leaders have the support and autonomy to lead effectively.
- The organization relies less on reactive coordination and individual heroics.

BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE
Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.
THE TEAM
Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.
As a Talent Acquisition Operations Associate, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition and Operations, you will help run the operations behind Payward’s global hiring engine. You will support the systems, processes, and coordination that keep hiring moving at pace, from interview operations and executive hiring to pre-boarding, background checks, and new hire setup in Workday. This role extends well beyond scheduling. It requires a strategic view of how a fast-growing, global company hires, along with precision, discretion, and sound judgment.
You will partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and executive assistants to support scheduling, anticipate bottlenecks, and keep stakeholders aligned at every stage. You will work heavily in our recruiting tools, keeping candidate and hiring data accurate and up to date across regions.
This is a 6-month fixed-term position supporting US timezones.
The opportunity
- Own interview operations end to end, partnering with recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates across regions and time zones to deliver a seamless candidate experience
- Support global executive and non-executive hiring operations, including scheduling and rescheduling, tracking and candidate communications
- Partner with executive assistants across regions to coordinate calendars and keep hiring timelines on track
- Own pre-boarding for new hires worldwide, including country-specific background check requirements and communications, tracking progress, resolving issues, and flagging risks to start dates early
- Create and maintain accurate candidate and hiring records in Ashby and Workday, and ensure new hire data is complete and timely for hires in every region
- Partner with onboarding, recruiting, and hiring managers to create a seamless transition from offer acceptance to day one
- Apply our hiring policies accurately and consistently across regions, flagging exceptions and escalating early
What you bring
- 4+ years in recruiting coordination, talent acquisition operations, HR operations, or a similar role, ideally in a high-growth, global environment spanning NORAM, EMEA, LATAM, APAC and MENA
- Hands-on experience with Workday or a comparable HRIS, and familiarity with applicant tracking systems (Ashby a plus)
- Experience supporting pre-boarding and onboarding, including coordinating background checks, tracking progress, resolving issues, and flagging risks to start dates early
- Working knowledge of background check processes and requirements across multiple countries and regions
- Comfort coordinating across time zones, with the ability to manage complex, high-volume calendars and logistics with exceptional precision and no missed details
- Exceptional judgment and discretion in handling confidential candidate and executive information
- Excellent communication skills and the professionalism to work comfortably with executives, hiring managers, and candidates from diverse regions and cultures
- The ability to prioritize competing deadlines and adapt quickly
Nice to have
- Experience in crypto, fintech, or another regulated industry
Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
OUR COMMITMENT
Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto.
We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision.
As an equal opportunity employer, we don't tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind, whether based on race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, citizenship, religion, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws.
