Our clients include fast-growing startups, digital agencies, SaaS companies, and tech-enabled businesses across industries such as MarTech, FinTech, EdTech, and eCommerce. Unlike traditional outsourcing agencies, we place you directly with innovative companies where you become a valued member of the team.
Job Summary
This is a rare 0→1 opportunity to build a financial platform from the ground up within an established and profitable ecosystem.
We are looking for a highly hands-on Founding Fintech Engineer – Banking & Payments who has previously built serious financial infrastructure and now wants significantly more ownership.
You will work directly with the founders and alongside an existing technical developer to architect and build a neobank-style platform spanning business onboarding, KYC/KYB, accounts, payments, cards, FX, ledgers, reconciliation, and money movement.
This is not a traditional engineering management position. We are looking for a strong individual contributor or technical lead who remains deeply technical, enjoys writing production code, and is comfortable solving difficult problems without an established playbook.
As one of the earliest engineers on the financial product, you will have substantial influence over architecture, technology choices, financial domain models, provider integrations, engineering standards, and eventually the team built around the platform.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and build core financial infrastructure, including accounts, balances, ledgers, KYC/KYB workflows, transaction state machines, and reconciliation systems.
Design and implement integrations with regulated banking partners, card issuers, payment providers, and payment rails including ACH, wires, international payments, and FX.
Build provider-independent architecture that enables integration with multiple banks and financial infrastructure partners without creating dependency on a single provider.
Develop secure, reliable financial APIs and data models capable of supporting complex transaction and money-movement workflows.
Build asynchronous systems involving queues, events, retries, idempotency, exception handling, and transaction processing.
Develop card issuing and card management integrations alongside multi-currency and FX functionality.
Build internal operations, compliance, permissions, limits, and approval tooling.
Own systems and features end-to-end, from architecture and database design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production operation.
Work directly with the founders to translate business and product requirements into pragmatic technical solutions.
Establish engineering standards and technical foundations that can support the future engineering team.
Take initiative in ambiguous situations and independently identify solutions to complex technical and product problems.
Requirements
3–8+ years of professional software engineering experience with excellent backend or full-stack fundamentals.
Strong hands-on experience building production-grade APIs, backend services, and distributed systems.
Proven experience working on complex systems where reliability, consistency, and data integrity are critical.
Strong database architecture, data modeling, and system design skills.
Experience with asynchronous workflows, including queues, events, retries, idempotency, and failure handling.
Strong engineering judgment and the ability to balance speed, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Demonstrated experience owning technical systems or major product areas end-to-end.
Strong product instincts and an ability to translate ambiguous requirements into working software.
Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, early-stage or 0→1 environment.
A natural technical leader who takes initiative without needing a large team or established processes.
Highly hands-on and genuinely excited to continue writing and shipping production code.
Nice-to-Haves
Significant hands-on experience within fintech, neobanking, banking infrastructure, payments, or financial technology.
Experience building core banking, payment, ledger, card, FX, reconciliation, or money-movement infrastructure.
Previous experience as an individual contributor or technical lead at a leading fintech, neobank, payments company, or financial infrastructure provider.
Background at companies similar to Revolut, Wise, Monzo, N26, Nubank, Brex, Stripe, Plaid, Airwallex, Nium, Razorpay, Adyen, Checkout.com, PayPal, Column, or Modern Treasury.
Experience designing financial ledgers, transaction state machines, or reconciliation systems.
Familiarity with KYC/KYB, compliance workflows, and regulated banking integrations.
Experience with card issuing or payment-processing infrastructure.
Experience building multi-currency or FX-heavy financial products.
Experience integrating multiple banking or financial infrastructure providers into a single platform.
Previous experience joining an engineering organization early and helping take a product from 0→1.
Benefits
💰 Milestone-based compensation
🌎 Fully remote and flexible work environment
🚀 High-impact founding role with 0→1 ownership
📈 Direct influence over architecture and technical direction
🎯 Opportunity to build on top of an already profitable platform
🛠️ Modern tech stack and provider-agnostic architecture
🧠 Collaborative environment working directly with experienced founders

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

About us
Aave Labs began with a simple question: how do we make financial services like borrowing, saving, and earning more accessible globally?
We built the Aave Protocol, now the world’s largest and most trusted onchain lending market, connecting decentralized finance with individuals, traditional finance, and fintech.
Today, we build trusted, high-quality products that expand access to lending, credit, and savings globally
Our culture
We build trusted products that help people access and discover economic opportunities.
We hold a high bar for quality and craftsmanship. No detail is too small. Trust depends on it.
We’re a global team building products people can actually use, turning complex technology into something simple and reliable.
We stay aligned, move quickly, and think long term, while keeping teams lean and focused on impact.
About the Role
We're hiring a Staff Backend Engineer to build the backend infrastructure behind Aave App, a consumer savings app that makes onchain financial products simple, secure, and intuitive, and the vault products that power it.
The role focuses on the systems between blockchain protocols and the consumer experiences built around them. This includes account and wallet services, transaction orchestration, vault management, monitoring and rebalancing, partner vault integrations, high-reliability blockchain indexing, balances and yield data, funding and withdrawal flows, notifications, and performant, well-documented APIs for mobile and web clients.
You'll own a broad technical area with high ownership and turn ambiguous product goals into reliable production systems. Correctness, security, and operability are critical: the services you build will support customer transactions, sensitive account flows, user funds, and financial data across both onchain and offchain infrastructure.
You'll also work closely with Quant Engineers, who own the financial models, assumptions, and calibration behind vault allocation and rebalancing, and with smart contract engineers, who own onchain integration and enforcement. Backend owns the production systems, data pipelines, and services that run those models.
How you can make an impact:
Design, build, and operate backend services for Aave App across onboarding, funding, savings, vaults, withdrawals, portfolio data, and customer communications
Build vault management, monitoring, and rebalancing systems, including partner vault integrations, and work with Quant Engineers to turn reviewed allocation models into reliable production services
Build transaction-orchestration and high-throughput indexing services that safely prepare, submit, monitor, and reconcile onchain activity across its full lifecycle
Integrate with smart contracts, RPC providers, account infrastructure, payment partners, and other external services, designing for degraded dependencies and partial failure
Lead technical reviews for high-value systems and improve testing, observability, alerting, incident response, and deployment practices across the backend codebase
Work closely with mobile, web, product, design, protocol, smart contract, quant, security, data, and operations teams to deliver coherent consumer experiences
Raise the engineering standard through hands-on delivery, pragmatic architecture, clear documentation, and review that helps other engineers grow
Let's connect if you have:
6+ years of backend engineering experience, including ownership of complex production systems
Strong backend programming skills. Production experience with Rust is highly desirable, but we'll also consider strong systems experience in Go, C++, Zig, or Java
Experience building distributed, event-driven, or data-intensive systems with clear reliability and performance requirements
Strong knowledge of API/GraphQL design, PostgreSQL or another relational database, caching, queues, and observability
Experience with blockchain systems or other financial infrastructure involving real capital, particularly transaction signing, private-key or key-management flows, wallet infrastructure, and onchain transaction lifecycles, is highly desirable
Strong judgement around threat modelling, sensitive data, permissions, and the operational risks of systems handling financial value
Nice to haves:
Experience reading smart contracts and integrating with EVM-compatible networks, smart accounts, account abstraction, bridges, vaults, or DeFi protocols
Experience designing constraint, optimization, solver, or allocation systems
Experience building consumer fintech, savings, wallet, exchange, or payments products at meaningful scale
Experience with cross-chain indexing, large-scale data ingestion, Kafka, ClickHouse, or similar infrastructure
Haven’t quite met all the criteria? Let’s not miss out on the chance to speak. Whilst you might not meet every single requirement, you might bring other, more exciting skills to the companies!
Equal opportunities statement:
Aave Labs celebrates diversity and views each and every team member as a separate individual with their own unique identity. No matter your race, religion, gender, ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation or even the wallet you use, we welcome you at Aave Labs. As an equal opportunities employer, we take accountability and believe in everyone's potential to build, create and inspire changes. With a mission to build a diverse workforce, we are proud to foster a working environment in which everyone can feel safe and valued for who they are.

- Prioritization: We focus relentlessly on what is important, not just what is urgent.
What you’ll do:
- Improving and building new features for an app market intelligence SaaS platform focused on the SMBs (AppMagic by Sensor Tower).
- Participate in the full development life cycle, including design, implementation, quality polish, and release.
- Work on a variety of tasks, such as parsing, data aggregation, API design, refactoring, and performance optimization.

- Focusing on quality by writing testable code that simplifies debugging and ensures long-term reliability.
- Ability to see the product through the user’s eyes and a passion for product excellence.
- Curiosity & drive: a proactive approach to digging into sources yourself rather than relying on second-hand information, and an eagerness to understand why a project is valuable before you start coding.
- Experience with CI/CD, docker, k8s as a plus.
- Ability to pass technical interview both in Russian & English.
- Hands-on, thoughtful use of AI tools in development.

HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
MISSION
Alan is scaling internationally (800+ employees, 100+ healthcare professionals, 5+ countries) and needs IT Engineers to build and own the internal technology platform every Alaner works on: identity and provisioning, endpoint and SaaS security, the tooling behind our clinics, and the automation that keeps IT from scaling linearly with headcount.
The scope below is what the team owns, not a checklist for one person. You'll be staffed on one or two of these areas at a time, according to your strengths and interests, and it will evolve through time based on company needs and personal appetite.
Staying close to users keeps us building the right things: you'll spend up to one day a week on IT support, seeing first-hand where friction lives and what's worth automating next.
SCOPE
⚙️ PLATFORM & AUTOMATION
- Own and extend automations on Alan Home, our internal provisioning engine
- Maintain, extend and improve helpdesk automation, SaaS provisioning flows, and onboarding/offboarding pipelines
- Own the meeting room AV and room-booking platform as a product, replicable across offices
🔑 IDENTITY & ACCESS
- Own the IT side of the employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, mobility between jobs and countries) across Google Workspace, SSO/SAML and our SaaS ecosystem.
- Grow our role-based access model: extend it to more tools and refine the permission groups, so access is granted by role rather than case by case
- Make employee lifecycle events reliable, fast and auditable end-to-end
- Own access reviews and least-privilege models; produce and maintain the evidence our auditors rely on
- Own SaaS procurement and license management: vendor relationships, renewals, and cost optimization across our stack
🔒 ENDPOINT & SAAS SECURITY
- Own the Mac fleet in Kandji: enrollment at scale, role-based blueprints, fleet compliance
- Cloudflare WARP, SaaS security controls
- Maintain and strengthen our ISO 27001 certification and drive ACPR and pentest remediation on the endpoint and platform scope
🩺 HEALTH PROFESSIONALS IT
- The IT layer behind Alan's clinics: practitioner tooling, equipment, access
- Role and permission automation for healthcare professionals, and their support and escalation process
🌍 INTERNATIONALISATION
- Make international expansion something IT accelerates, not something it slows down: a repeatable process where every new market (Canada, KSA, Armenia...) launches on our standard stack from day one
- Bring acquired entities onto that same platform
MILESTONES
First 3 months
- Acquire technical knowledge on Alan's platform: Alan Home, Google Workspace/SSO, Kandji, Cloudflare WARP
- Take one project end-to-end and ship a first increment
- Join the IT oncall team as technical escalation
First 6 months
- Own a workstream end-to-end
- Deliver one automation or hardening initiative end-to-end
- Take up documentation and automation on your scope and reduce significantly the bus factor on it
- Mentor IT teammates on your core expertise
First year
- Deliver measurable IT toil reduction on your scope
- Set the technical standards on your domain: how we build, document and review it
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships (Engineering, Security, Workplace, Clinic, People, Audit)
- Contribute to hiring and onboarding new teammates
3 years
- Lead major projects end-to-end across several communities
- Be the reference the team relies on across at least two domains
- Mentor the IT team and beyond, and scale IT without a linear increase in manual work
As the community grows, there is room to take on more responsibility: leading a crew, owning cross-community projects, mentoring, hiring.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-have - Technical/hard skills:
- 3+ years in IT engineering, platform, systems or corporate engineering, with real ownership of production-facing systems
- Depth in at least one area (platform & automation, identity, endpoint & security) and demonstrated range beyond it.
- You write code: not as a full-time software engineer, but Python, APIs and pull requests in a shared repo should feel normal
- Structured problem-solving: diagnoses methodically, asks the right clarifying questions, thinks about failure modes and rollback
- Comfort with regulated environments: health data, ACPR, ISO 27001, HDS
- Automation & AI appetite: uses AI tools smartly to accelerate their own delivery, with an instinct for what should be automated or delegated to AI rather than repeated
Must-have - Behavioral / soft skills:
- Ownership & autonomy: drives topics forward without hand-holding, including when they cross into someone else's perimeter
- Written communication: Alan is written-first; decisions get argued in public documents and challenged by people outside your team
- Pragmatic judgment: balances "perfect" vs. "good enough", decides with incomplete information
- Documentation culture: reduces bus factor through clear documentation and knowledge sharing
Nice-to-have skills / Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with an internal provisioning or IdP-driven automation platform
- Kandji or another MDM at scale
- Cloudflare Zero Trust / WARP, Datadog
- Audit remediation experience (ISO 27001, HDS)
- Multi-country rollouts, or IT integration after an acquisition
- Having mentored, coached or led a (small) crew
- Health or healthtech ecosystem familiarity

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Team
The Security team protects Anthropic's AI systems and maintains the trust of our users and society.
About the Role
At Anthropic, we are pioneering new frontiers in AI that have the potential to greatly benefit society. However, developing advanced AI also comes with risks if not properly safeguarded. As a Research Engineer, you'll help to safely advance the capabilities of our models in incident response, security analysis, vulnerability remediation, and other areas of defensive cybersecurity.
This role blends research and engineering, requiring you to both develop novel approaches and realize them in code. Your work will include designing and implementing RL environments, conducting experiments and evaluations, delivering your work into production training runs, and collaborating with other researchers, engineers, and cybersecurity specialists across and outside Anthropic.
This role requires ML experience combined with domain expertise in cybersecurity. You might be an ML researcher with a history of cybersecurity work, or a security professional with a background in ML.
Responsibilities
Partner with researchers and safety teams across Anthropic to understand their analytical needs and build solutions
Develop agentic integrations that allow AI systems to autonomously investigate and act on analytical findings
Contribute to the strategic direction of the team, including decisions about what to build, what to partner on, and where to invest
This role may require participation in an on-call rotation.
You may be a good fit if you
Have experience with machine learning.
Have experience in cybersecurity research.
Have strong software engineering skills.
Can balance research exploration with engineering implementation.
Are passionate about AI's potential and committed to developing safe and beneficial systems.
Strong candidates may also have
Professional experience in security engineering, fuzzing, detection and response, or other applied defensive work.
Experience participating in or building CTF competitions and cyber ranges.
Academic research experience in cybersecurity or other experimental & research background.
Familiarity with RL techniques and environments.
Familiarity with LLM training methodologies.
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
For roles performing work in California:
We will consider for employment all qualified applicants, including those with arrest or conviction records or criminal histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws, including the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, the City of Los Angeles’ Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers, and the California Fair Chance Act.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit
anthropic.com/careers
directly for confirmed position openings.

Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.

You'll be responsible for building, tuning, and evolving AI agents in production environments, defining the standard for ADLC best practices along the way.
- Partner with large enterprises and cutting-edge startups: You’ll work directly with leaders at some of the world’s largest enterprises to understand their most pressing business challenges, and build AI agents that transform how they operate at scale. You'll also partner with the most cutting-edge startups in Silicon Valley, embedding AI agents across their entire business stack to drive innovation and efficiency.

We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
- Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
- Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
- Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.
- Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Infrastructure team builds and operates the foundational systems behind Perplexity’s products. At Perplexity, infrastructure sits on the critical path of every answer, supporting real-time search, retrieval, model serving, and agent workloads where latency, reliability, and rapid iteration directly shape the user experience. This role is for strong infrastructure engineers whose experience spans multiple domains and who are energized by cross-cutting problems that do not fit neatly within a single platform team.
You do not need to be a specialist in every area. Scope ranges from owning major production systems to setting technical direction across teams, leading complex infrastructure programs, and shaping infrastructure strategy across the organization. If a specialized Cloud Infrastructure, Storage Platform, Backend Platform, Data Platform, Connector Platform, or AI Acceleration role clearly matches your expertise and interests, apply directly to it. If your experience spans several infrastructure domains or you are most energized by cross-cutting systems problems, apply here. Submit one application, and we will consider you across the Infrastructure organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own cross-cutting infrastructure problems that span compute, storage, networking, data, deployment, and reliability, including eliminating bottlenecks across retrieval and serving paths, building shared abstractions across deployment environments, and resolving failure modes that cross platform boundaries.
- Design, build, and operate distributed infrastructure supporting Perplexity’s consumer, AI, and enterprise workloads, owning systems from architecture through production operation.
- Identify gaps between existing platforms and build shared abstractions, automation, and tooling that make infrastructure easier and safer to use.
- Improve system performance, availability, scalability, and cost-efficiency across online request traffic and background workloads.
- Debug complex production issues across service and infrastructure boundaries, then turn the findings into durable architectural improvements.
- Set technical direction for complex infrastructure systems, lead high-impact programs across teams, and establish durable technical standards through collaboration with infrastructure, product, AI, and security partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production backend, platform, or distributed systems.
- A track record of owning complex production systems end to end and delivering sustained technical impact across teams.
- Demonstrated ability to set technical direction, lead through influence, and raise the engineering bar through architecture, design reviews, and mentorship.
- Strong software engineering skills in Python or other systems or backend languages such as Go, Rust, C++, or Java.
- Meaningful experience across at least two infrastructure domains, such as cloud platforms, distributed systems, Kubernetes, storage, databases, networking, data systems, developer infrastructure, or production reliability.
- Ability to develop depth quickly in unfamiliar systems, reason across software and infrastructure layers, and drive production incidents from diagnosis through durable resolution.
If you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn’t match every qualification listed above.
