You will use Claude Code and agentic AI, plus Python or JavaScript/TypeScript, to automate accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, month-end close and the wider day-to-day accounting operation. Strong knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP 2. Real experience with AI coding tools, ideally Claude Code, backed by solid engineering basics We accept two paths: an accountant who learned to code, or an engineer who learned accounting. Both are judged on the same practical test. - Hands-on experience building automations with Python or JavaScript/TypeScript (either is fine) - Daily, hands-on use of AI coding tools, ideally Claude Code, with solid engineering basics, shipping working scripts and agents - Ability to run local scripts and schedule jobs (cron, task schedulers or CI pipelines) - Strong knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP, shown by ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent, or by several years of hands-on accounting experience - Experience with core processes: AP, AR, bank reconciliation, month-end close - Comfort working with APIs and MCP servers, CSV/Excel data and basic SQL - Care for accuracy, controls and audit trails NICE TO HAVE - Experience in multi-entity or multi-currency environments, including intercompany and consolidation - Experience reconciling payment processor statements across multiple jurisdictions and currencies - Experience with shared cost services that invoice group companies, including complex expense splits and automated invoice generation - Experience with an ERP and its API (which ERP does not matter) - Experience building AI agents and agentic workflows, including tool use and MCP servers - Knowledge of VAT/GST and e-invoicing rules in several jurisdictions - Experience with Git, testing and basic cloud deployment - Prior experience in a finance transformation or accounting operations team - Additional languages, where our entities operate in non-English markets LOCATION Ruby Labs operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Hours & location 🌎 While we hire almost anywhere in the world, we have a preference for someone to reside in the following locations for this role. However, if you feel qualified, we welcome you to apply regardless of location. No matter what, working hours must overlap with GMT-3 for at least 20 hours/week. Preferred locations: USA Why this job is exciting As our Compliance Manager, you will own and drive Sourcegraph’s governance, risk, and compliance program, with a primary focus on compliance. This is a highly cross-functional role that works closely with Security, Engineering, IT, Legal, People, Sales, and other teams across the company. You will be responsible for maintaining and evolving our compliance program, including owning certifications such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 and preparing Sourcegraph for additional frameworks as the business grows. This is not a role where you will simply coordinate work across a large compliance organization. We are looking for someone who has personally owned audit and certification programs end to end: designing and tailoring controls, collecting evidence, training internal teams, working directly with auditors, managing remediation, and driving follow-up work through completion. 📅 Within one month, you will… You will build strong working relationships across Security, Engineering, IT, Legal, People, Sales, and other key stakeholders. You will develop a clear understanding of Sourcegraph’s existing governance, risk, and compliance program, including our ISMS, risk register, controls, certifications, audit processes, and current areas of focus. You will understand how our SOC 2 and ISO 27001 programs operate today, including key owners, evidence requirements, open risks, and upcoming milestones. You will begin participating directly in day-to-day compliance activities and identify opportunities to improve or simplify existing processes. 📅 Within three months, you will… You will have taken ownership of Sourcegraph’s ongoing SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance programs. You will independently manage key audit activities, including control testing, evidence collection, stakeholder coordination, auditor requests, findings, and remediation. You will evaluate existing controls and tailor them to Sourcegraph’s environment rather than relying on overly prescriptive or generic auditor recommendations. You will actively maintain Sourcegraph’s risk register, ISMS processes, policies, and compliance documentation. You will help internal teams understand their compliance responsibilities and provide practical guidance that allows them to meet requirements without creating unnecessary process. You will support customer-facing compliance activities, including security questionnaires and compliance-related questions from prospective and existing customers. 📅 Within six months, you will… You will have successfully led Sourcegraph through an audit or major certification milestone. You will own the operating rhythm of the GRC program, including ISMS meetings, risk management activities, control reviews, documentation updates, and audit preparation. You will have established a forward-looking compliance roadmap covering renewals, upcoming audits, new frameworks, regulatory requirements, and opportunities to improve how the program operates. You will be able to independently identify control gaps or deficiencies, assess their risk, recommend practical solutions, and drive remediation with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will have introduced automation, AI, or other process improvements that reduce manual compliance work while maintaining or improving program quality. About you You have built or operated compliance programs in a fast-moving technology environment and have personally owned major compliance initiatives from beginning to end. You are comfortable operating independently, getting into the details, and doing the work yourself while coordinating with stakeholders across the organization. You understand that frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 define requirements but often leave significant flexibility in how an organization satisfies them, and you know how to translate those requirements into controls that fit the business. You are also comfortable working with technical teams and modern cloud environments. You can understand enough about infrastructure, systems, access controls, software development, and security processes to ask the right questions and effectively translate between auditors and technical teams. 5+ years of experience in governance, risk, compliance, information security compliance, or a related role. Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of SOC 2 and ISO 27001 programs, ideally within a SaaS, technology startup, or similarly fast-moving environment. Experience personally managing external audits and certification processes, including audit preparation, evidence collection, control testing, stakeholder training, auditor interaction, remediation, and follow-up. Strong understanding of risk management, control design, ISMS governance, and compliance program operations. Experience adapting compliance controls to an organization's actual environment rather than applying generic or overly prescriptive requirements. Familiarity with cloud-based technology environments and the security and compliance considerations associated with a distributed or remote workforce. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives from inception through completion. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain compliance requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. A hands-on mindset and willingness to personally execute the work required to keep the compliance program operating effectively. Curiosity about AI, automation, and emerging technology, with an interest in using new tools to improve compliance workflows. Nice-to-haves: Experience with additional security, privacy, or compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, HITRUST, FedRAMP, FISMA, PCI DSS, or related standards. Experience supporting security questionnaires, customer assurance processes, or sales-related compliance activities. Experience with GRC platforms, compliance automation tools, or building internal automation for evidence collection and control monitoring. Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor, CRISC, or similar credentials. Level 📊 This job is an IC3. Sell the full platform story - Elevate conversations from an individual point-product need to a strategic Unified Access vision spanning people, AI agents, and machines. - Connect 1Password’s capabilities to measurable outcomes, including reducing credential and access risk, eliminating standing privilege, governing SaaS and shadow AI, protecting developer and machine workflows, strengthening device trust, and improving auditability. - Land with the customer’s most urgent use case, then build an executive-backed roadmap for adoption and expansion across Enterprise Password Manager, SaaS Manager, Credential Broker, Device Trust, and Privileged Access. - Translate complex identity, access, cloud, endpoint, developer, and AI-security concepts into clear business value for executive and deeply technical audiences. Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles - Orchestrate 4-6+ month sales cycles involving security, IAM, IT, DevOps, platform engineering, application engineering, finance, legal, procurement, and executive sponsors. - Build consensus across large buying groups and establish clear business, technical, economic, and decision criteria. - Lead executive presentations, discovery sessions, workshops, business-value assessments, commercial negotiations, and close plans. - Create and maintain mutual action plans and apply MEDDPPICC or a comparable enterprise qualification methodology with discipline. - Structure and negotiate complex, multi-year, multi-product agreements with material ARR and platform expansion potential. Operate as one team - Collaborate closely with BDR, Solutions Engineering, Channels, Alliances, Customer Success, Onboarding, Product, Marketing, Legal, and Deal Desk. - Co-sell with strategic partners, cloud alliances, channel teams, and systems integrators where they can expand reach or accelerate a decision. - Represent 1Password at executive briefings, customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events. - Maintain accurate opportunity data, next steps, forecasts, and account plans in Salesforce. - Use AI and modern selling tools thoughtfully to improve research, preparation, coaching, and execution while creating more time for customer engagement. Location: Palo Alto, CA or Seattle, WA ABOUT DOCKER Docker has been one of the most loved brands in developer tooling, trusted by more than 20 million monthly users and over 20 billion container image pulls. From solo founders to the world's largest companies, developers rely on Docker to build, share, and run their applications across our suite of products including Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, and Docker Scout. We are a globally distributed, remote-first team building the tools that define how software gets built and delivered. As AI agents redefine software development, Docker is at the center of that shift, providing the sandboxed environments, verified images, and secure infrastructure that make autonomous workflows trustworthy by default. _______________________________________________________________________ As agents take on bigger jobs, the infrastructure around them matters more. Docker's answer is to give every agent a strong boundary, make its environment and authority reproducible, and let the work run where it makes sense, from a developer's laptop to the cloud. The Docker AI Substrate team brings that foundation to the enterprise: the largest companies in the world, running agents at scale, with the security, reliability, and control they expect from any critical system. We are a small, senior team at the start of that work. As a Staff Software Engineer here, you will shape the architecture, build the core systems, and run what you build. Locations: Seattle, WA or Palo Alto, CA. RESPONSIBILITIES - Design and build the systems that deploy, release, and operate Docker's agentic platform for enterprise customers, in Go and on Kubernetes. - Make the platform run consistently across cloud providers and environments, with the security, identity, and network boundaries enterprises require. - Own the release and supply chain path so every deployment is reproducible, verifiable, and trusted. - Run what you build: production ownership, on-call, SLOs, incident response, and the operational tooling that keeps it boring. - Set technical direction with the team's architect and engineering leadership, and work with partner teams across runtime, developer experience, identity, and observability. - Raise the bar through design review, testing discipline, and mentorship as the team grows. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED - You have built and operated a cloud control and management plane. Software that provisions, upgrades, and watches infrastructure for many tenants or environments, in production, with a pager. Experience at a cloud provider, a managed-service vendor, or a platform team that stamps out environments. - Kubernetes beyond deployment. You have written controllers or operators, understand reconciliation and CRDs, and know why declarative beats imperative at fleet scale. - Deep in at least one major cloud. Hands-on with compute, networking, identity, and managed services, and able to pick up a second cloud fast. - Production ownership. On-call, incident response, SLOs, post-mortems. You run what you build. - Distributed systems design. Fault tolerance, consistency, observability, idempotent reconciliation. - Go. Professional proficiency. Docker's backend and all of this team's code is Go. - 10+ years of professional software engineering in infrastructure, platform, or cloud services, with the judgment to set direction for others. STRONGLY PREFERRED - Kubernetes resource orchestration and cloud controllers, such as KRO. - Release engineering and software supply chain: OCI registries, digests, license compliance. - Private connectivity between cloud accounts: PrivateLink, VPC peering, service endpoints, egress policy. - OpenTelemetry pipelines with multiple destinations. - Building managed services. - Firecracker, microVMs, or other isolated execution environments for untrusted code. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Docker considers visa sponsorship on a case-by-case basis based on business needs. Compensation & Equity United States: $170,350 – $275,550 + equity ______________________________________________________________________ POSTING INFORMATION - Open vacancy: This posting is for an existing open role. - AI in hiring: Docker may use AI-assisted tools during our recruiting process. - Interview recordings: Candidates will be invited to opt in to interview recordings to support interviewer calibration and consistent evaluations. Recordings are optional and require explicit consent. ______________________________________________________________________ PERKS & BENEFITS - Remote-first by design – Work from your home, with offices in Seattle and Paris for connection and collaboration. - Flexibility that fits your life – We trust you to manage your schedule while delivering great work. - Time to recharge – Generous PTO, designated quarterly Whaleness Days, and a designated end-of-year Whaleness break. - Home office support – Set up your workspace for comfort and success. - Technology stipend – Equivalent to US$100 net per month to help support your work. - Learning & development – Annual stipend for conferences, courses, certifications, and continued learning. - Parental leave – 16 weeks of paid parental leave after six months of employment. - Equity for all full-time employees – Share in Docker's long-term success as we continue to grow. - Comprehensive benefits – Medical, retirement, and paid holidays vary by country. - Docker swag – Because representing the whale never gets old. Docker is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a team that reflects a broad range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We believe diverse teams build better products, make better decisions, and better serve our global community. #LI-REMOTE
