- Have strong proficiency in at least one of Python, Rust, or Go
- Have excellent communication skills and enjoy partnering with internal teams to improve their operational visibility and incident response capabilities

Purpose of the Role
The Head of Finance owns the company's finance and accounting function. This is an operational role. The priority is accurate reporting, disciplined budgeting, and financial control across a physical, asset-heavy business.
Responsibilities
Financial reporting. Own the preparation and accuracy of the P&L, cash flow statement, and balance sheet. Run the monthly close on schedule and ensure the reporting package is consistent, reconciled, and usable by management.

This includes maintaining and improving the capitalization and depreciation policy for bikes, batteries, and spare parts, managing the fixed asset register, accounting for disposals and write-offs, and reconciling operational inventory records against the general ledger.
Budgeting and financial model. Maintain the company's financial model for internal planning purposes. Build the annual and quarterly budgets with department heads, track actual performance against plan, and variances with recommended corrective action.
Financial control. Build the financial control function: approval and authorization procedures, spend controls, segregation of duties, and regular controls over cash, receivables, and payables.
Team and external partners. Manage in-house accountants and the outsourced accounting firm, define the division of work between them, and hold both to agreed deadlines and quality standards.
Compliance and operations. Oversee payroll, multi-state tax registrations and filings, statutory reporting, and audit readiness. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and payment processing operations.
Cross-functional Work
The Head of Finance works directly with the operations, supply chain, and product teams on projects such as pricing changes, new city launches, vendor contracts, warehouse and inventory processes, and payment system changes. Experience with inventory and fixed asset accounting in a physical business.
Multi-state payroll and tax compliance experience.

Full ownership of the finance and accounting function.
Direct reporting line to the CEO.

THE ROLE
We're looking for a Solutions Product Marketing Manager to define and own Baseten's up-market, enterprise, and industries go-to-market strategy. You'll build the playbook that helps Baseten win large, complex deals and the vertical go-to-market strategies that let us compete in Financial Services, and Health & Life Sciences, and the use cases that scale across all of them.
This is a highly cross-functional, largely greenfield role. You'll partner closely with the Industries sales team, product marketing, demand gen, and executive leadership to build on our enterprise go to market motion.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Enterprise Deal Playbook & Buyer Enablement
- Build the enterprise deal playbook and full bill of materials (BOM) — pricing guides, one-pagers, TCO/ROI guides, landing pages, and event/field collateral — mapped to every stage of the buyer's journey
- Build the system for keeping every sales asset current — clear ownership, last-updated dates, and a refresh cadence
- Develop industry-specific event concepts featuring anchor customers and AI-native accounts to build credibility with target executive audiences
Vertical GTM & Industry Go-to-Market Kits
- Build vertical sales kits and ICP/positioning frameworks for priority industries
- Own industry-specific landing pages, messaging, and TCO guides, extrapolating from early AI-native accounts to larger enterprise targets
- Design and help launch ABM experiments in partnership with demand gen
Industries AE Enablement & Onboarding
- Design role-specific onboarding for Industries AEs, including certifications, customer-grounded scenarios, and async, refreshable content
- Build sales playbooks tied to real customer examples, and package assets into an AE-ready enablement motion (first call, competitive deals, legal/finance/procurement, TCO/ROI, self-hosted)
- Become a trusted partner to the industries team so onboarding and enablement stay grounded in what sellers actually need
REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ years in product marketing, solutions marketing, or a related GTM function, ideally at a technical or infrastructure company
- Experience building enterprise or vertical go-to-market motions — ICP definition, buyer journey mapping, and full-funnel sales collateral
- Comfort translating technical, infrastructure-heavy concepts (inference, self-hosted deployment, TCO/ROI) into narratives for both technical buyers and non-technical stakeholders like legal, finance, and procurement
- Track record designing and running sales enablement or onboarding programs for technical sellers
- Strong cross-functional coordination skills — you can pull together sales, customer marketing, demand gen, and executives around a shared plan
- Comfortable owning execution as well as strategy: landing pages, decks, one-pagers, and written content, not just frameworks
- Thrives in ambiguity — this role is about building the enterprise motion from a fairly blank slate
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in (or a fast ability to ramp on) financial services, manufacturing/industrial, or health/life sciences
- Experience running or contributing to a Customer Advisory Board or executive champion program
- Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure, inference, or developer tools
- Experience partnering with technology partners on co-marketing or joint events
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot

- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.

To be clear, this is an engineering role with hands-on coding and software development that also includes aspects of product management, technical customer success, and pre-sales solution engineering mixed in.

You may not meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If this role excites you, we’d love you to raise your hand for what could be a truly career-defining opportunity.
This is a full-time remote opportunity. We are considering candidates from US and Canada only (EST time zone).
The Opportunity:
The Grafana Cloud Observability department is focused on enabling developers to understand the health and performance of their applications and infrastructure in any environment by providing tools to instrument their code, ingest observability data into Grafana Cloud and visualize and explore it.
In this role, you will be part of the Cloud Integrations team. We develop
our portfolio of integrations
that allow customers to collect, visualize and act on telemetry from various systems and applications.
The software you will create is a core building block for the users of Grafana Cloud, and has direct impact on Grafana Cloud’s out of the box experience.
Our work is built on Open Source technologies such as Prometheus and OpenTelemetry, which you will also have the opportunity to actively contribute to.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You will bring your software engineering expertise to develop the tooling that powers our portfolio of cloud integrations and observability apps; working to develop, maintain and scale our infrastructure observability features in Grafana Cloud.
We’re looking for someone who can work across the full stack:
Frontend - written in Typescript / React
Backend - written in Golang
Monitoring Mixins
- written in Jsonnet
Day to day, that looks like:
Ship features end to end, from the UI a user clicks through to the backend services behind it and the dashboards and alerts that ship with each integration
Move between parts of the stack as the work demands. Some weeks are a React panel, some weeks a Go service, some weeks a Jsonnet mixin
Own projects from problem statement to production, including talking to users and checking whether what you shipped actually worked
Represent the team's work outside the team: write the design proposals, run the demos, and make the case for our roadmap in cross-team discussions
Contribute upstream to Prometheus, OpenTelemetry and Grafana Alloy where our work touches them
Join the on-call rotation for the services you own
We invest heavily in developer productivity. You can use modern AI coding assistants as part of your daily workflow (your choice of tools, within security guidelines), backed by a company-funded usage budget so you can iterate quickly without unnecessary friction. We encourage pragmatic AI-assisted development: faster prototyping, test generation, refactors, documentation, and incident follow-ups—always with strong code review and quality standards. You'll also have access to the latest frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
As we have embraced a remote-first approach and our engineering team is primarily remote, it is essential to possess strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. We provide support and hold regular meetings through video calls to ensure effective collaboration and alignment.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
Interest in working across the full stack, with a product-focused mindset. You start from the user problem and are comfortable deciding what to build, not only how to build it
Experience on both the backend and the frontend. We use Go and TypeScript; solid experience with comparable languages translates well
Fluency with AI-assisted development. You use coding agents and LLM tooling as part of how you work, and you have a clear view of where they speed things up and where they get in the way
Comfort being visible. You raise concerns early, advocate for your team's work across the org, and turn quiet good work into decisions other people can see and act on
Working knowledge of the observability ecosystem: Prometheus, Grafana dashboards, alerting, and what it takes to run these systems in production
Strong written communication. Most of our decisions happen in docs, issues and pull requests across several time zones
Bonus Points For:
Experience contributing to or maintaining Open Source projects, with evidence of successful pull requests and community collaboration
Experience working on Developer Tooling with a large user base
Experience building Grafana plugins, apps or dashboards
Familiarity with Grafana Alloy, the OpenTelemetry Collector, or similar telemetry pipeline tooling
Experience writing Jsonnet, or another configuration-as-code language
You have been on-call for the systems you instrument, so you know what a useful alert looks like

As
Senior Director, Solutions Engineering for the Americas
, you'll build and lead a team of high-performing Solutions Engineers. You'll own the region's technical sales strategy alongside your sales leadership counterparts, and partner with Customer Experience, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to drive adoption, retention, and expansion across our customer base.
This is a role for
technical leaders,
not people managers who stay at arm's length from the product. You should enjoy the technology enough to jump into a demo or handle a tough technical objection yourself when a deal needs it.
What You'll Do
Recruit, ramp, and mentor a team of presales SE leaders and ICs from diverse backgrounds, balancing hands-on fieldwork with team leadership.
Know our products and demos well enough to step into customer conversations and move deals forward directly.
Own the region's numbers (ARR, NRR, pipeline coverage, forecast accuracy) and run a consistent forecasting cadence with your team.
Act as executive sponsor for key accounts, and support the team's evaluations, demos, deep dives, and POVs.
Work with Sales leadership on customer programs and community/company events that drive adoption and expansion.
Partner with Product and Engineering to represent customer needs and prioritize based on data, not just requests.
Build programs and collateral that help key customers succeed in adopting our technology.
Identify and enable channel partners at the local, geo, and global level.
Hold quarterly career conversations, set clear 30/60/90 onboarding expectations, and manage performance across the team.
Bring insights from the field back into internal process and product direction, and share what you learn beyond your own team.
What You Bring
3+ years in a Director-level role leading a team, plus 5–10 years in high tech in technical roles (Developer, Architect, Sales Engineer/Architect, Manager, etc.)
A hands-on approach to the technology: you stay current on the product and get directly involved in demos, deep dives, and POVs
Experience selling monitoring, data, or visualization products, with enough technical depth to be credible with engineering and executive buyers
A track record of success in a fast-paced, high-growth, remote-first startup environment
Experience mentoring, developing, and managing team performance over time
Experience with a formal sales methodology (e.g., Command of the Message, value selling, MEDDPICC or similar qualification frameworks)
A track record of owning a book of business and directing your team's work to exceed quarterly targets
Open-source selling or cloud-first/PLG go-to-market experience is a plus
In the US, the OTE compensation range for this role is $337,000 - $425,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process. Benefits include equity, bonus (if applicable) and other benefits listed
