About The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join the OEX Mobile Growth team — a pure mobile team sitting at the intersection of engineering rigour, consumer growth craft, and product instinct. This is not a feature delivery role. You will sit upstream of requirements, shape initiatives alongside product and business stakeholders, and own the engineering end-to-end on growth bets that move real metrics for millions of users. The ideal profile combines a solid engineering foundation, hands-on growth experience serving mobile users, and the conviction to bring proposals, not just execute them.
What You'll Be Doing
Own the full engineering lifecycle of mobile growth initiatives - from shaping the brief with product and business through to production launch and iteration.
Build and optimise growth systems - including funnel instrumentation, referral mechanics, acquisition loops, and experiment frameworks — directly serving the mobile user base.
Collaborate closely with Product Manager, Business Development, and local market teams across multiple regions to translate commercial goals into concrete, data-backed engineering proposals.
Apply AI coding tools actively in your workflow to accelerate development, improve code quality, and bridge across tech stacks where needed.
Drive technical decision-making on growth infrastructure, articulating trade-offs clearly and defending or revising your positions based on evidence.
Mentor engineers on the team and help establish a culture where engineers bring solutions, not just responses.
What We Look For In You
8+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production-quality systems at scale.
Hands-on growth engineering experience — funnel optimisation, experiment frameworks, acquisition or referral systems — in a consumer-facing (ToC) product context.
Understanding of mobile users: how they behave, what drives retention and conversion, and how mobile-native growth mechanics differ from web.
Actively uses AI tools as a core part of your engineering workflow — not just for code generation, but for building repeatable workflows and bridging across stacks.
Outspoken and proposal-driven: you come to the table with a point of view, push back when you disagree, and bring data and a counter-proposal rather than just flagging concerns.
Strong cross-functional communication — comfortable working with Product Manager, Business Development, and local markets to align on goals and hold the line on engineering quality.
Data instincts: you think in funnels, know how to instrument what matters, and use metrics to drive decisions.
Nice-To-Haves
Mobile development experience in iOS (Swift/Objective-C) or Android (Kotlin/Java) — or backend experience building growth systems that serve mobile apps directly (e.g. growth APIs, attribution pipelines, notification infrastructure).
Experience with Rust or other systems languages — especially candidates who have recently migrated from mobile-native stacks and are building fluency in backend tooling.
Depth in mobile attribution and MMPs (AppsFlyer, Adjust, SKAdNetwork).
ASO operational experience (App Store Connect, Google Play Console).
Experience building referral systems, k-factor mechanics, or anti-fraud layers.
Background in fintech, crypto, or regulated consumer financial products.
Experience operating across US, EEA, and APAC markets.
A/B experiment framework ownership at meaningful scale.
Perks & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package
L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
Various team building programs and company events
Wellness and meal allowances
Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants
More that we love to tell you along the process!

What does the role look like?
The Senior AI/ML Engineer (Applied AI Lead) will have the chance to:
• Design, develop, and productionise machine learning models end-to-end (training, validation, deployment, monitoring, retraining), ensuring reliability in real-world environments.
• Lead the development of AI use cases such as client lifetime value (CLV), churn prediction, and fraud/abuse detection, with clear alignment to business outcomes and measurable impact.
• Build and establish robust MLOps practices, including model deployment pipelines, CI/CD, environment promotion (dev/stage/prod), and lifecycle management.
• Implement model monitoring frameworks to track performance, data drift, data quality, and business impact, with clear retraining and escalation strategies.
• Ensure model explainability and transparency using techniques such as SHAP, feature attribution, and other interpretability methods appropriate for business-critical and regulated contexts.
• Define and enforce best practices around model governance, documentation, versioning, and auditability, proportional to model risk and business impact.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering to ensure high-quality data pipelines, feature engineering, reproducibility, and scalable data foundations.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Risk, Commercial, and other stakeholders to translate business problems into pragmatic AI solutions, balancing speed and robustness.
• Drive continuous improvement through feedback loops, monitoring insights, and model retraining strategies, rather than one-off model delivery.
• Mentor team members and promote best practices in production AI, MLOps, and applied machine learning delivery.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
• 5–8+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning models in production environments (not just experimentation).
• Strong Python programming skills and solid software engineering fundamentals (testing, code quality, modular design, maintainability).
• Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, model evaluation, feature engineering, and practical considerations in production systems (e.g. data leakage, drift, stability).
• Hands-on experience with large-scale data processing (Spark / PySpark).

What does the role look like?
The Senior AI/ML Engineer (AI Lead) will have the chance to:
• Experience with ML lifecycle tools (MLflow or similar) for experiment tracking, model management, and reproducibility.
