ABOUT US:
AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.
THE ROLE:
Modal builds AI infrastructure products that developers love. That’s how we grew so quickly, and why word of mouth remains one of our most important channels today.
In this role, you will primarily create and distribute technical content that is unique, educational, and practical. This content will be the first Modal touchpoint for many of our users. We want to not only showcase the power and developer experience of Modal, but also serve as a trusted resource for them when implementing new AI technologies.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:
- Distill the latest advancements in AI technology and educate developers on how to incorporate them
- Give demos and talks about Modal and adjacent tools at developer events
- Engage with users in our community, both online (X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Slack) and at in-person events
- Build relationships, integrations, and joint marketing activities with other developer-focused companies
- Set objectives that are aligned with the greater GTM team and track the impact of the initiatives you work on
YOU MAY BE A FIT IF:
- You have 3+ years of experience as a software engineer
- You’re energized by the AI developer community and want to help developers adopt new technologies
- You love teaching
- You have excellent technical communication skills
- You’re metrics-driven and take quantitative approaches to prioritizing initiatives
- You’re excited about working in person in our NYC, SF, or Stockholm office
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- A willingness to think outside the box when it comes to compelling technical content
- An existing developer following on social media

This is a general track role, hiring for opportunities across all levels of seniority in our Sales Teams.
Apply here if you believe you possess outstanding revenue generating experience from the Technology industry.
Open source software is the new default in the enterprise, and Canonical is the new challenger to major enterprise software vendors.
We deliver better open source from the data center to cloud and edge. Our Linux distribution Ubuntu is now the leading platform for public cloud compute, and the favorite platform for software engineers, data scientists and AI developers. Our mission is to accelerate the adoption and quality of open source globally, and our goal is to ship the most software on the planet by cores. A tidal wave of open source innovation is the next phase of the entire enterprise software industry, and we aim to be the most compelling way to ride that wave.
Our customers include Global 500 enterprises and startups. We are expanding our product range from the base operating system - Ubuntu - to full enterprise solutions in infrastructure and applications. We can deliver software defined storage, private cloud solutions, container runtime environments, as well as databases, message queues, identity, observability, analytics, machine learning and web publishing capabilities. Customers love the idea that they can get security compliance and support for everything open source from a single company. Our goal is to have more solutions on tap than any other vendor, and we have built unique capabilities to make that possible across every cloud, every class of compute and every category of application.
Canonical provides licensed enterprise software products, commercial support, managed services, consulting and training services to customers who are deploying Ubuntu or open source applications on the cloud, in their data center, or to the connected device and IoT ecosystem. We are just over 1,000 colleagues in 70+ countries and $250m in revenue, profitable, on a steady but relentless growth trajectory. We are almost entirely distributed, with leadership spread across many countries. We believe that talent is equally distributed across the globe, and we are excited to hire, develop, promote and ultimately trust a diverse group of exceptional leads to build the best, not biggest, enterprise software company.
We hire carefully and deliberately; our selection process is long and requires substantial work from applicants. It will take successful applicants three to six months to secure an offer. This is not a place to apply if you are in a rush to find a position, it is a worthwhile place to apply if you are ambitious and long-term in your thinking about your career and the dynamics which move the world forward. If you see clearly the rise of open source, and you understand the drivers of enterprise procurement and technical decision making, then you will understand why Canonical has such a tremendous long term advantage. You will also understand, given the ferocity of competition and the challenges of competing in a market of giants, that we have to set a very high bar for hiring and performance. In order to be a world leading company we select for exceptional ability as well as character, and then provide an environment which promotes teamwork and celebrates diligence, collaboration and effectiveness. All of those are easy to say but hard to do - at Canonical we are willing to be uncomfortable in pursuit of that excellence.
In building our sales team, we look for five things:
Empathy for the customer - a real understanding of customer needs, industry-specific challenges, and a desire to help customers solve their business problems
High intellect - the ability to learn quickly, understand very complex subjects, and communicate clearly to build trust and confidence
Passion for technology - a fascination with the state of the art from brilliant people solving hard problems, and fierce competition for large prizes
Teamwork - a willingness to help others, to collaborate well with people from different disciplines, and to balance personal and team ambitions
Energy - the drive to motivate oneself and others to achieve the best result for the team and our customers
Ubuntu is already very widely adopted which gives us a credible basis for conversations in the market. Nevertheless, it requires real work for sales professionals to build on that adoption to create trusted and profitable commercial relationships with the enterprises in their territory. Our product managers and marketing teams run campaigns to generate awareness, engagement and leads, but you will need to go beyond managing inbound interest to develop the potential of your territory. You will need judgement as to which industries and companies are ready to go deeper with open source and Canonical, and energy to develop relationships in advance of proven interest. We expect professional practice, territory and account planning, as well as clear, complete and continuous reporting on pipeline status and activity, using standard professional tools.
The successful candidate will carry an annual bookings quota within their assigned territory. They should be able to travel regionally for client engagement, industry conferences, and internationally for company events twice a year. They will be expected to demonstrate professionalism and effectiveness, to prospect accounts for new business, maintain and develop existing relationships, and work with colleagues and partners on account strategy. They must be comfortable selling enterprise software, open source, cloud, virtualization, container technologies and technical software solutions to senior levels of the enterprise.
Location: We are expanding our sales organisation globally and have open roles in every region.
What your day will look like
Represent the company, its solutions and software, in your territory
Build and execute a territory plan to prioritize outreach and prospecting
Develop new pipeline through outreach, prospecting, local marketing, and industry events
Close contracts to meet and exceed quarterly and annual bookings targets
Be mindful and proactive in achieving tactical and strategic objectives
Manage customer relationships and interactions through all stages of the sales cycle
Work with field engineers to propose solutions that solve our customers’ business problems
Work with customer success to identify growth opportunities
Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts within Salesforce
Establish productive professional relationships with key influencers and decision makers
What we are looking for in you
Bachelor's level degree, preferably in engineering or computer science
Experience of open source technology and solutions
Detail oriented with effective follow-up
Experience in enterprise software or technology sales planning and execution
Track record of achievement in sales targets and new account wins
Self-discipline and motivation to be successful in a distributed team
Professional written and spoken English, as well as any language that may be appropriate for your target market
Ability to travel for customer engagements, industry events and company events
Additional skills of interest
Specific vertical experience, in particular finance, telco, health, energy, public sector, tech
Experience speaking at conferences or industry events
What we offer you
We consider geographical location, experience, and performance when shaping compensation worldwide. We revisit compensation annually (and more often for graduates and associates) to ensure we recognise outstanding performance. In addition to base pay, we offer a performance-driven commission structure. We provide all team members with additional benefits, which reflect our values and ideals. We balance our programs to meet local needs and ensure fairness globally.
Distributed work environment with twice-yearly team sprints in person
Personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year
Annual compensation review
Recognition rewards
Annual holiday leave
Maternity and paternity leave
Employee Assistance Program
Opportunity to travel to new locations to meet colleagues

COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Today, when you go to your doctor and get referred to a specialist, your doctor sends out a referral and tells you, “They’ll be in touch soon.” So you wait. And wait. Sometimes days, weeks, or even months. Why? Because too often providers are overwhelmed with the painstakingly tedious work required to get paid by insurance companies. Powered by proprietary models, Tennr handles the complex paperwork that gets patients through the door and providers paid, helping operators get patients the right care, at the right time, in the right setting.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As an Enterprise Account Executive you close deals by understanding the customer, understanding the product and making magic happen. Who knew?
The Tennr product is great, but people are stubborn and tend to not talk to strangers.
To help, we’ve got a team of Sales Development representatives working to help you generate opportunities. Also some pretty crafty marketing initiatives (the Tennr Taco Truck really means something to medical providers in Texas)
If you’re good, you’ll get paid an egregious sum, so in exchange, you have to own the whole sales cycle from discovery to close, and keep a tight process along the way. You’ll negotiate pricing. You will never sell what you wouldn’t buy. You must deeply care about your customers and the craft of sales. And since the product is loved, you’ll love selling it.
You’ll have to hit quotas of course. Wouldn’t be much fun otherwise.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Account Planning: As an enterprise rep it is your responsibility to understand your patch of accounts better than anyone at the company. You, along with your manager, will be responsible for mapping out the accounts that fit our ICP, the key contacts associated with them, and your hypothesis around the value we can provide. It’s your job to test and iterate your perspective throughout an evaluation process.
- Pipeline Management: Use Tennr’s sales process to manage your pipeline. It’s not just putting deals into our CRM, but understanding the reality and risks of the deal based on the exit criteria associated with deal stages in our sales process. When you’re stuck, you proactively ask for help.
- Collaboration: Deal team culture is central here. You will work closely with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), Sales Engineers, Professional Services, Tennr Leadership and channel partners to build, advance and close opportunities. Lone-wolves need not apply.
- Client Relationships: You are responsible for forming a relationship with the customer, renewing that customer, and cross-selling into that customer.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of software sales closing experience preferred, with experience selling a complex workflow technology solution
- No less than 1 year of enterprise sales experience
- Experience in healthcare technology solutions is a plus
- Demonstrated intellectual capacity: this candidate must be able to understand the underlying technology and be able to collaborate with clients on how it fits into their business needs
- Demonstrated motivation and hustle: a high-energy and fast-paced approach to problem-solving and taking initiative; past examples of demonstrating grit and entrepreneurial spirit a plus
- Experience working in an early-stage environment is preferred; the candidate should understand how to operate effectively with limited resources selling new products
- Demonstrated EQ and relationship-building: an approach to building relationships that gets to trust quickly.
- Must be comfortable up to 10-20% domestic travel
WHY TENNR?
- Drive Impact: one of our company values is Cowboy, meaning you set the pace. You won’t just talk about things, you’ll get them done. And feel the impact.
- Develop Operational Expertise: learn the inner workings of scaling systems, tools, and infrastructure
- Innovate with Purpose: we’re not just doing this for fun (although we do have a lot of fun). At Tennr, you’ll join a high-caliber team maniacally focused on reducing patient delays across the U.S. healthcare system.
- Build Relationships: collaborate and connect with like-minded, driven individuals in our Hudson Square office 4 days/week
BENEFITS
- Unlimited PTO
- 100% paid employee health benefit options
- Employer-funded 401(k) match
- Competitive parental leave

THE ROLE
Strategic accounts at Baseten are the largest and fastest-growing AI companies in the world. These are the teams defining the future of what AI products and services look like. These accounts can scale rapidly from one token to billions of tokens in a matter of weeks. This role owns these relationships, working directly with founders and engineering leaders on mission-critical and large-scale-AI problems in production—and shaping what we build next.
This is a highly technical sale. You’ll trade opinions on the latest open-source model releases, run fast and nuanced evaluations alongside customer engineering teams, and often pulling in SMEs from applied research to infrastructure engineers to win. You’ll bring tight sales fundamentals and process discipline, while maintaining flexibility and creativity in how you run each cycle.
This role is pioneering what sales looks like at the bleeding-edge of technology sales. This is a front row seat to the most consequential decisions made at the forefront of Artificial Intelligence. There is no faster place to learn and make an immediate impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own a focused portfolio of high-growth, strategic AI-native accounts end to end — from technical evaluation and initial workload landing through expansion as inference usage scales.
- Lead technical evaluations and complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from first conversation through close. Bring strong sales fundamentals and process discipline, while staying flexible and creative in how you run each sales cycle.
- Build trusted relationships with founders and technical leaders, becoming a credible partner on model, infrastructure, and inference decisions.
- Orchestrate stakeholders across applied research, engineering, and leadership to win technical evaluations and solve customer problems.
- Bring customer signal back to product, shaping roadmap priorities through the needs and patterns you see in the field.
- Stay close after close: help customers expand from an initial workload into additional use cases across the organization.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of sales experience in infrastructure, developer tools, data, or another consumption business, with a record of closing complex technical deals.
- Proven net-new experience selling complex technical products in fast-moving environments.
- Strong sales fundamentals across discovery, multi-threading, champion-building, and deal momentum.
- Genuine curiosity for open-source models and the AI infrastructure landscape. You follow model releases and can hold your own with engineers.
- Highly dynamic: comfortable when a deal goes off-script, able to meet customers where they are, and willing to change your approach without losing rigor.
- Strong technical project management: you can run a thorough evaluation across multiple workstreams and create clarity and direction for Baseten to win..
- Proven ability to sell internally, earning engineering time, aligning leadership, and getting cross-functional teams to move
- Scrappy, low-ego, collaborative operator. You run toward ambiguous problems, create structure where none exists, and earn internal support without relying on rigid swim lanes.
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
Apply now to embark on a rewarding journey in shaping the future of AI! If you are a motivated individual with a passion for machine learning and a desire to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.
