ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for a customer-obsessed software engineer to come ship with us. You’ll own features like multi-node training and products like serverless reinforcement learning (RL) from conception to MVP (and from MVP to GA!). You’ll work through the stack, architecting solutions from API and UI down to our infrastructure layer. You’ll fine tune models yourself to develop an understanding of user workflows. You’ll work closely with research engineers leveraging state-of-the-art training techniques to build experiences that accelerate model development and solve for real pain points. If you’re excited to dive deep into the training, let’s talk!
THE PRODUCT
Take a look at what we’ve built so far:
- Overview of the product so far https://www.baseten.co/blog/baseten-training-is-ga/#training-is-now-ga
- Training docs overview https://docs.baseten.co/training/overview
- Story of the Training product https://www.baseten.co/blog/a-q-a-from-inference-to-training-the-inside-story-of-baseten-s-newest-product/
- Research we've done https://www.baseten.co/resources/research/
EXAMPLE INITIATIVES
- Checkpointing Pipeline: Our checkpointing pipeline starts with automated checkpointing, a feature that ensures that versions of models created during training are automatically backed up to the cloud. Users are able to then deploy checkpoints seamlessly into inference servers, providing point-and-click integrations into inference frameworks like vLLM and Baseten’s Inference Stack. This enables customers to quickly evaluate the performance of their checkpoints with real traffic.
- Multinode training: Multinode training enables customers to easily run training jobs across multiple compute nodes, enabling users to train large models like GLM 4.7 and DeepSeek. We’ve built deeply at the Kubernetes layer to ensure that scheduling, startup, inter-node communication, and shutdown happen seamlessly under the hood and as the user expects.
- Training DX: Customers come to train on Baseten because it helps them get to value fast. To do this, we ensure that the features we ship aren’t just fast, but are easy to iterate with. We enhanced Baseten’s metrics from pod-level GPU summaries to per-GPU and per-Node. We’ve built a CLI experience that caters to terminal users, and UI experiences that enable user to seamlessly manage their training jobs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Iterate like crazy
- Design ergonomic APIs and abstractions to model complex resources and lifecycles
- Work throughout the stack (API layer, backend and database implementation, infra layer; frontend is a plus) to implement features.
- Fine-tune and deploy models to develop intuition around training workflows.
- Partner closely with model developers and world-class research engineers to understand the requirements and pain points of post-training workflows.
- Drive long-term improvements to improve reliability of systems and velocity of development
- Fix bugs & resolve customer issues with urgency
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years experience building software applications
- Deep knowledge of the web stack, databases, and distributed systems
- Experience developing developer tooling or infrastructure products for external or internal users.
- Good taste in product, particularly developer-oriented tools
- Interest in ML/AI infrastructure and willingness to learn
- Driven by high agency and ownership
- Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical depth and business needs
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience launching features and products through different release cycles (MVP, Beta, GA, etc.)
- Experience with model development methods and paradigms, like Supervised Fine-Tuning, Reinforcement Learning, Synthetic Data Generation, LoRA, Full Finetunes, etc.
- Familiarity or experience with the open source training stack and frameworks (NCCL, PyTorch, Megatron, NemoRL, VeRL, Axolotl, HF Trainer) and distributed training techniques (FSDP, DeepSpeed).
- Experience developing AI products, tooling, or agents
- Frontend fluency
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
Apply now to embark on a rewarding journey in shaping the future of AI! If you are a motivated individual with a passion for machine learning and a desire to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.
At Baseten, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status.

ABOUT US
At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.
With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.
ABOUT THE ROLE
LangChain is scaling for our next phase of growth, and we are looking for our founding People Partners who are business operators at heart. In this role, you aren’t just "supporting" the team—you are a strategic co-pilot to our EPD, GTM, and Ops leaders. You will proactively anticipate organizational friction, design people solutions that drive business results, and leverage an AI-first mindset to eliminate administrative toil.
We are looking for a resilient builder who moves at the speed of an AI startup. You will be deeply embedded in the business, using data to diagnose problems before they arise and influencing senior leadership to make the right calls on org design, talent density, and leadership.
LOCATION/CITY:
San Francisco, CA; New York, NY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Business-First Partnership: Embed deeply with Engineering, Product, GTM, and Ops to understand their roadmaps. You drive business outcomes—velocity, quality, and retention—through intentional people strategies rather than standard HR playbooks.
- Proactive Organizational Architecture: Act as an early warning system. Use data and organizational pulse to anticipate burnout or friction points. Partner with leaders to architect high-performance team structures, headcount forecasting, and foundational builds.
- AI-First Operations: Ruthlessly automate the routine. Leverage AI tools and modern tech stacks to streamline people processes, ensuring your time is spent on high-leverage coaching and strategy rather than manual administration.
- Strategic Coaching & Influence: Serve as a truth-teller to leaders, from first-time managers to industry veterans. Provide high-signal coaching on performance, leadership, and team dynamics, pushing back when necessary to maintain our high bar.
- Data-Driven Insights: Own the People Dashboard for your business units. Build clear, concise one-pagers based on metrics—from attrition trends to comp parity—to influence leadership decisions.
- Program Implementation & Stewardship: Tailor the rollout of core programs (compensation cycles, leveling, performance frameworks) to the specific needs of your units. Manage sensitive employee relations with empathy, legal rigor, and a focus on excellence.
- XFN Collaboration: Work seamlessly across the People team, flexing between building new programs and partnering with the hiring machine to ensure united solutions for the business.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience: 8+ years as an HRBP or People Partner in a high-growth, fast-paced tech environment.
- Business & AI Fluency: Technical and AI-savvy. You speak the language of engineers and researchers and are an early adopter of AI tools to up-level your own productivity.
- Strategic Influence: A truth-teller with the confidence to push back on senior leaders and the EQ to do it effectively.
- Data-Driven: You don't rely just on gut feel. You use data to tell stories, identify trends, and back up your recommendations.
- Precision Communication: A master of high-stakes communication. You can draft a Slack message, a 1-pager, or a board slide that is clear, concise, and persuasive.
- Resilient Hustle: You thrive in the grey of a startup and manage multiple high-priority work streams without losing focus. You identify organizational gaps and build solutions without waiting for a ticket.
COMPENSATION
- Annual salary range: $160,000 - $230,000
Compensation Philosophy:
We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks.
We are hiring for this role across a range of scope, and the compensation band reflects that. Your offer depends on what we learn about your impact, craft, leadership, and communication during the interview process. We will tell you early where you’re tracking and talk comp with you before offer stage. Team members in the EU, UK, and APAC receive locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations.
BENEFITS
Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible vacation, a 401(k) plan, meals on in-office days in the US and more.

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The team owns the core experience that helps finance teams control, automate, and optimize company spend.
We build the engine that powers Ramp’s card and expense workflows—from card issuance and spend limits to approvals, policy enforcement, and real-time insights.
Our systems handle billions of dollars in transactions and integrate deeply with Ramp’s AI platform, financial infrastructure, and partner ecosystems (banks, ERPs, HRIS).
As a backend engineer on this team, you’ll work across product surfaces that are central to Ramp’s success: cards, approvals, spend controls, and automation intelligence.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design, build, and scale backend systems that power spend controls, approval workflows, and card transactions at massive scale
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and data to deliver intelligent, user-first experiences for finance teams
- Integrate with Ramp’s internal AI platform to automate spend policy enforcement and anomaly detection
- Own complex projects end-to-end — from architecture to deployment and observability
- Partner with the Product Platform and Integrations teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and data consistency across financial systems
- Continuously improve Ramp’s transaction and policy infrastructure for performance, accuracy, and resilience
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 2+ years of software engineering experience (backend or fullstack with a backend focus)
- Strong fundamentals in backend systems and API design — experience with Python, Go, or TypeScript is ideal
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, AWS, and modern observability tooling
- Product sense: ability to balance technical quality with speed and user value
- Collaborative, thoughtful communicator who thrives in high-ownership environments
NICE TO HAVE
- Fintech or payments experience (cards, reconciliation, transaction processing)
- Exposure to AI- or rule-based automation systems
- Experience integrating with ERP or accounting systems
- Familiarity with security, risk, or compliance-driven domains
- Experience building reliable distributed systems that process large volumes of financial or transactional data

ABOUT US:
AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.
THE ROLE:
At Modal, we sell cloud services atop which our customers run their critical production systems. As a rapidly growing new cloud infrastructure company, we seek to improve our reliability dramatically while scaling the size of our platform, customer base, and our team.
This role is for people who are deep systems thinkers, love stacking nines, and thrive from making others move faster at scale. Responsibilities include:
- Identifying architectural changes to improve reliability and performance.
- Fostering a culture of reliability across Modal’s engineering organization.
- Defining and implementing operational processes such as deployments, upgrades, etc.
- Operating systems like Kubernetes, Postgres, Redis, etc.

- Familiarity with auto scaling, fleet management, and capacity planning at scale.
- Experience operating databases, monitoring, CI/CD, and other infrastructure, at scale
- Experience owning and scaling Kubernetes clusters to thousands of nodes a plus.
- Experience with systems safety research (e.g. STAMP) and control theory a plus.
- Ability to work in-person in our NYC or Stockholm offices.

ABOUT US
At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Deployed Engineering team works directly with companies building and running AI agents in production, helping turn ideas and prototypes into systems teams can rely on.
This is a hands-on, highly technical team that partners closely with customer engineers across the full lifecycle, from pre-sales evaluations to post-deployment advisory work. The focus is on achieving the technical win, co-designing agent architectures, and helping customers operate agents reliably at scale using the LangChain suite.
Deployed Engineers sit at the intersection of engineering, product, and go-to-market, shaping how LangChain is adopted in the field and feeding real-world insights back into the platform.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Deployed Engineer…You’ll work on some of the hardest problems in applied AI — not demos, not research, but systems that real teams depend on in production. The feedback loop is fast, the impact is visible, and the work you do directly shapes how AI agents are built in the real world.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Co-architect and co-build production AI agents with customer engineering teams
- Own the technical win in pre-sales by designing POCs, answering deep technical questions, and guiding evaluations
- Help customers deploy and operate agent-based applications such as conversational agents, research agents, and multi-step workflows
- Advise customers post-sale on architecture, best practices, and roadmap-level decisions
- Run technical demos, trainings, and workshops for developer audiences
- Surface field feedback and contribute reusable patterns, cookbooks, and example code that scale across customers
- Occasionally contribute code upstream when it meaningfully improves customer outcomes
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 3+ years in a relevant technical role (software engineering, customer engineering, solutions engineering, founding/product engineering), ideally in a startup or scale-up
- Strong Python, JavaScript and systems fundamentals
- Have designed agent-based or LLM-powered applications beyond simple API calls, including multi-step workflows, orchestration, and failure handling
- Are comfortable working directly with customers during POCs, architecture reviews, and technical evaluations
- Can explain technical tradeoffs clearly and build trust with developer audiences
- Take responsibility for outcomes, not just recommendations
- Have a bias toward action and enjoy figuring things out as you go
- Are excited about operating AI agents in production, not just building demos
NICE TO HAVE’S
- You’ve deployed AI agents in production, especially using LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks
- Worked with LLM evaluation, observability, or guardrails
- Have experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), containers, and basic Kubernetes concepts
- Have shipped and operated production software and are comfortable owning systems under real-world constraints

Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.

Ramp's Strategic Enterprise CSMs don't manage accounts — they transform how companies run their finances. This is a role for people who have been inside large organizations when change was hard, who speak the language of a CFO, and who already use AI the way surgeons use instruments: not occasionally, not as an experiment, but as the default way they work. You'll be embedded in Ramp's largest, most strategic enterprise accounts, responsible for driving genuine workflow transformation — not just onboarding completion.
What You'll Do
- Lead enterprise customers through the full transformation journey — from implementation through agentic workflow adoption — with clear accountability for time-to-value and measurable business outcomes
- Build and own the change management strategy for each account: map stakeholders, diagnose resistance, build internal coalitions, and drive adoption past the finish line
- Quantify and communicate Ramp's impact in the language CFOs and Controllers care about — close cycle improvement, spend visibility, variance reduction, and ROI — not just product usage metrics
- Run executive-level stakeholder management across multiple layers of a customer org, including C-suite relationships you own independently
- Use AI tools daily to prepare for customer calls, build materials, synthesize data, identify account risk, and operate at a pace traditional methods can't match
- Help customers understand and adopt Ramp's agentic finance capabilities — positioning new workflows not as features, but as fundamental changes to how their finance team operates
- Partner with Account Executives and Technical Consulting to deliver seamless implementations and expand Ramp's footprint within accounts
- Bring customer insight back to Product — surfacing patterns, gaps, and opportunities from your accounts to shape how Ramp evolves
Must-Haves
- Enterprise change management — You've driven workflow adoption inside complex organizations, navigated real resistance from real stakeholders, and have measurable results to show for it. Finance or fintech context is a plus but not required.
- AI fluency as a daily habit — You already use AI tools habitually in your work. You use them to prep for calls, synthesize information, build customer-facing materials, and automate repetitive tasks. This is how you work, not something you're exploring. Ramp is a builder culture: if you don't instinctively reach for AI before doing things manually, this role will be a hard adjustment.
- Financial impact communication — You can walk a CFO through the business case for a workflow change, connect implementation milestones to P&L outcomes, and run executive updates in financial terms, not product terms. A finance background is not required — fluency is.
- Technical acumen — You can hold your own in conversations with Product and Engineering on integrations, APIs, and workflow architecture. You don't need to code, but credibility in technical conversations is what earns you a seat at the table with the full customer stakeholder group.
- 7+ years in enterprise customer success or implementations — You’ve spent enough time navigating complex organizations and senior stakeholders that it’s second nature. You know how to move an enterprise, not just support one.
Nice-to-Haves
- Agentic workflow experience — You've helped customers adopt AI-powered or agentic workflows at scale. You understand what friction looks like in practice and what makes transformation actually stick.
- Finance domain depth — Exposure to FP&A, accounting software ecosystems (Netsuite, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero), expense management, or CFO-adjacent workflows. Accelerates credibility with Ramp's customer base.
- Demonstrated commercial impact — You can point to expansion, retention, or time-to-value outcomes with specific metrics attached — not described in general terms.
- Background at an AI-first or AI transformation company — not just a company that uses AI, but one where rethinking workflows around it was part of the product or culture
- High-growth or startup experience (comfort operating in ambiguity and rapid change)
- C-suite relationships built and maintained independently, without relying on a sales counterpart

THE ROLE:
We are looking for strong engineers with experience and interest in designing, building, and maintaining the novel, high-performance systems that make up our serverless platform.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience writing high-quality production code
- Experience building high-performance distributed systems at a large scale (the more battle scars, the better)
- Strong cloud skills
- Strong knowledge of low-level operating system foundations (Linux kernel, file systems, containers, etc.)
- Experience with performance engineering (tell us a story of when you shaved off a few milliseconds!)
- Ability to work in-person in our Stockholm office.
- Prior experience with Rust is nice to have, but not required.
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation and respond to production incidents.
