One, you will help our users and prospects navigate their Grafana journey by engaging with and listening to them in order to provide them with appropriate resources and guidance. Two, with these learnings, you will partner with our Sales Team to connect with other influential people in these organizations to identify new business opportunities that are the pipeline for our company’s revenue goals by partnering proactively with our Sales Team. And three, you will develop valuable, transferable skills to help you achieve your career goals. By fulfilling our three core missions, you will contribute importantly to Grafana Labs’ community and business goals.
We understand that our commercial success is linked to our open source DNA and users’ success with our software. As such, we want team members who can effectively leverage this connection and help support the long-term health of our company.

Build and maintain knowledge of our technology, competitors, open source ecosystem, and industry trends
Follow up on inbound leads effectively and efficiently
Use a multi-channel approach (email, social, calling) to proactively outreach to new leads within target accounts; our top SDRs are confident and effective on the phone
Use Salesforce and Grafana dashboards for lead and account management and research

Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Open to feedback and coaching, always looking for ways to improve
Clear and concise written and verbal communication style
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize many tasks and demands
Willingness and ability to take on any task - no matter how small or big - with a focus on quality
Resourceful and proactive in an environment that is constantly evolving
Driven by purpose and by winning with a team-first attitude

About The Opportunity
You will have the opportunity to join a team responsible for designing the industry's leading Crypto trading system, including Spot, Margin, Perpetuals, Futures, Options, and various risk control models such as simple account, single-currency margin, multi-currency margin, and portfolio margin.
This system supports daily trading volumes of over ten billion USD for both retail and institutional clients.
What You’ll Be Doing
The plumbing of the exchange.
Order management, matching, margin, risk engine, lending/borrowing — across both spot and derivatives. When you ship, millions of trades route through your work the same day.
Infrastructure that holds up where others can't operate.
You'll work directly with Legal, Compliance, and local market teams — not to check boxes, but to design systems that clear the highest regulatory bar in finance. That bar is our moat.
Outlearning the competition.
Talk to traders, take apart competing systems, and decide where we lead vs. fast-follow — across crypto and TradFi.
The instruments that show us the market first.
Build the data and monitoring layer that gives us situational awareness of our own stack and the broader industry. If something's drifting, breaking, or shifting — you know before anyone else.
The 3–12 month direction.
Decide what we build next, and when, based on product lifecycle, competitive landscape, and what our capacity actually is — not what makes the deck look good.
Shipping through.
From spec to launch, you're the person who gets it out the door — pulling engineering, design, ops, and marketing into alignment without becoming the bottleneck.
The AI harness and agent architecture for your domain.
Design and ship multi-step agent workflows — tool use, retrieval, evaluation, human-in-the-loop checkpoints — that power how Core Trading operates. Spec agents the way you spec products.
What We Look For In You
Bachelor's degree or above in mathematics, physics or computer science major.
5+ years experience in building sophisticated backend systems in either crypto or Traditional Finance industry.
AI native skillset that allow you to ship at 10x because you automate the work flow first.

ABOUT US:
AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.
THE ROLE:
We’re looking for a Growth Engineer to own the technical foundation of Modal’s marketing and developer-facing web surfaces: the marketing site, docs site, growth landing pages, high-profile microsites, forms, analytics instrumentation, and the integrations that help users discover, understand, and get started with Modal.
This is a frontend-heavy role for someone with strong product taste, web engineering craft, and a business-owner mindset. You’ll partner with Product Engineering, Design, Data, and Growth to ship polished, measurable web experiences, from high-profile projects like the GPU Glossary https://modal.com/gpu-glossary and LLM Engine Advisor https://modal.com/llm-almanac/advisor to internal tooling that helps teams publish content faster.
When this role is going well, Modal launches new pages, docs experiences, campaigns, and experiments quickly without sacrificing performance, craft, or measurement.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:
- Own and evolve Modal’s marketing site, docs site, and technical web experiences as high-quality engineering systems, not static content
- Build bespoke interactive projects with engineers, turning deep technical work into useful web experiences for developers and agents
- Instrument all public-facing content, all the way from human-facing marketing pages to agent-targeted, self-improving documentation
- Improve internal publishing flows so more teams can ship quality content quickly while keeping the site maintainable
YOU MAY BE A FIT IF:
- You’ve built and shipped modern web applications end-to-end
- You have experience with agentic development flows where agents consume marketing content and docs to help developers build on Modal
- You can build polished, responsive web experiences without needing every detail specified
- You have a business-owner mindset and strong data intuition: you think about conversion, activation, developer trust, speed of launch, and quality of measurement, and the tradeoffs inherent to each
- You’re excited about developer-facing AI infrastructure and building web experiences that feel credible to engineers
- You’re able to work in person in our NYC office
We care more about what you’ve built than years of experience.
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Deep knowledge of SEO, AEO, structured content, or agentic discoverability
- Experience with marketing sites, docs sites, or product-led-growth surfaces at a devtools, infra, or AI company
- Familiarity with our stack: Svelte/SvelteKit, TypeScript, Tailwind, Vite, MDX/SVX content systems, headless CMS (Sanity), Playwright/Vitest
- Familiarity with our integrations: Segment, Snowflake, PostHog, Sentry, Algolia/DocSearch, Fillout, Pylon, Ashby
- Experience designing growth experiments, A/B tests, or funnel instrumentation
- A portfolio of polished sites, docs systems, interactive demos, or growth experiments

OKX is part of OKG, a group that brings the value of Blockchain to users around the world, through our leading products OKX, OKX Wallet, OKLink and more.
About The Opportunity
The Compliance team's primary objective is to ensure that OKX operates in accordance with regulatory requirements while maintaining the highest ethical and moral standards. The team owns the full compliance engineering stack: KYC onboarding and refresh, sanctions / PEP / adverse-media screening, transaction monitoring (TM) and travel-rule enforcement, case management, and regulatory reporting. We achieve this by developing compliance service solutions, integrating with KYC & AML vendors, and enabling robust business growth, which ultimately strengthens user trust in our platform. Our ultimate goal is to create a culture of compliance excellence, where innovation and responsible business practices are seamlessly integrated. In compliance, a system that is mostly right is wrong — so every control we build must be deterministic in its enforcement, complete in its coverage, and explainable in its outcome.
What You’ll Be Doing
Formulate, select, and develop technical schemes for platform projects across the compliance domain — KYC onboarding flows, identity verification and refresh, sanctions / PEP / adverse-media screening, transaction monitoring, travel-rule, case management, and regulatory reporting — including AI/ML-powered features such as intelligent screening disambiguation, document verification, anomaly detection, automated risk scoring, and analyst-assist agents.
Organize and coordinate resources, leading project research and development, troubleshoot problems, and ensure quality and timely completion — including delivery of AI model integration work within KYC, screening, and monitoring workflows.
Facilitate cross-team communication and promote teamwork efficiency through code quality control and collaboration, including partnering with Data Science, Risk, and Legal to productionize models and ensure reliable, auditable inference infrastructure.
Define where probabilistic AI is appropriate versus where deterministic logic is mandatory — and design the boundary cleanly so models assist without compromising auditability or enforcement integrity.
Undertake team tasks and cultivate technical talents in the industry, with a focus on building AI engineering best practices across the compliance engineering team — patterns for agentic coding, prompt libraries, eval suites, and human-in-the-loop review of AI-generated work in a regulated environment.
What We Look For In You
A compliance-first systems mindset — you instinctively reach for state machines, idempotency keys, exactly-once semantics, reconciliation jobs and immutable audit logs. You understand that in compliance, false negatives cost millions and false positives cost trust, and you design accordingly. Prior experience in KYC, AML, sanctions, fraud, or payments is a strong plus; experience surviving a regulatory audit is an even stronger plus.
Daily, fluent use of modern AI coding tools — Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex CLI, or equivalents. You can describe the specific workflows you run, the failure modes you have hit, and the guardrails you have built around AI-generated code. AI fluency is required, not nice-to-have.
Production experience integrating AI/ML model inference into Java services — REST/gRPC-based model serving, feature engineering pipelines, latency-sensitive inference optimization, graceful degradation, and drift / rollback playbooks.
Hands-on experience with LLM application patterns — at least one of: RAG pipelines (vector store + retrieval + grounding) for policy / KYC / case lookup, agentic workflows (tool use, multi-step reasoning, validation loops) for analyst assistance, or LLM-based classification / extraction shipped to production.
Discipline around AI output — you do not ship LLM features without evals, hallucination tests, prompt regression suites, and human-in-the-loop review for high-stakes decisions. You have an opinion on when to reach for a frontier model vs. a fine-tuned small model vs. a deterministic rule, and can defend that trade-off to a regulator.
Exposure to LLM integration or AI agent frameworks is a strong plus — e.g. prompt engineering at the system level, RAG pipelines, or orchestrating AI workflows within a regulated environment.
Good understanding of software engineering basics, distributed system principles, including CAP, consistency, idempotency, and exactly-once vs at-least-once semantics.
Clear logic, quick thinking, and good communication skills — including the ability to write clearly for non-engineers (compliance officers, auditors, regulators).

AI fluency is a required engineering competency for this role, on the same level as ‘can write good Java’. We will assess it explicitly during the interview, and a strong showing here is a meaningful plus:
AI-augmented workflow demo — walk us through how you use AI tools day-to-day. The prompts, the tasks you delegate to an agent vs. write yourself, how you review AI-generated diffs, and how you measure the impact (commit velocity, defect rate, test coverage). Concrete examples beat slogans.
Live agentic exercise — a working session using the AI coding agent of your choice on a realistic compliance-flavoured problem. We look at how you scope, prompt, validate, and integrate AI output, not whether the agent gets it right first try.
Design discussion with a probabilistic twist — expect at least one system-design question where the right answer involves deciding when not to use an LLM, and how to design the deterministic fallback. We hire engineers who can defend that boundary.
Evaluation & guardrails — be ready to discuss an eval suite or guardrail you have built for an AI feature in production (e.g. an LLM-assisted SAR narrative drafting tool, an AI-assisted KYC document review step, or screening-hit disambiguation). If you have not shipped one, tell us how you would design it.
Perks & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package
L&D programs and education subsidy for employees' growth and development — including budget for AI tools, courses, and conferences
Various team building programs and company events
Wellness and meal allowances
Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants
More that we love to tell you along the process!

About
Customer.io
Over 9,000 companies — from scrappy startups to global brands — use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day.
Customer.io
powers automated communication that people actually want to receive. We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data.
About the role
Hi, my name is Matt Wensing, VP of Product & Design at
Customer.io
, and I'm looking for a Principal Product Designer. Principal Product Designer is the highest individual contributor design role at
Customer.io
. This person shapes the design vision for the company and influences how design is practiced here — through their own craft, through the standards their work sets, and through the partnerships they build with product and engineering leadership.
Customer.io
is in a transformational moment: executing against a strong current product while redesigning what the product is and how it's experienced by a new generation of builders. This role has to straddle both — delivering quality and coherence in what exists today while driving the vision for where things go.
This is not a management role, but it's a leadership role in the fullest sense. Their influence is felt company-wide — in the product, in the culture, and in who we hire.
About you
You have a fully formed point of view on how AI changes what software means — for the people who use it, the people who build it, and the agents that increasingly operate it. You have the conviction to put that view to work across a product and an organization. You lead through clarity and example, give candid feedback that improves the work, and operate with humility and curiosity even outside your own expertise.
What we value
Leads through clarity and example, not control.
You shape culture through your own practice — not top-down direction.
Candid craft feedback.
You give feedback that improves the work, even when it's uncomfortable.
Humility and curiosity.
You operate with openness, especially in areas outside your expertise.
Amplifying others.
You raise the impact of people across the whole company — not just the design team.
Bias for craft.
You stay close to the work by choice, and that proximity is how you lead.
Some things you'll do
Shape and communicate a design vision for
Customer.io
's product as a whole
— the coherent, long-range picture of what excellent looks like for our customers, brought into rooms where product direction gets set
Drive the strategic direction of Pluma
, our design system — architecture, evolution, deprecation decisions, and the principles that govern how it scales
Close the gap between design intent and shipped product
— stay close enough to implementation to catch divergence, and fix it directly when code is the right tool
Design for builder and developer audiences
— CLI-native flows, API-first onboarding, and interfaces built for people who type before they click
Lead the design of agentic and human-AI surfaces
across the product — develop the philosophy and advocate for the standards
Partner with product and engineering leadership on product strategy
— bring design into the conversation before direction is set, not after
Develop and advocate for
Customer.io
's AI product design philosophy
as a framework the whole team builds from
Lead design review for major initiatives
and bring accountability for quality and coherence across what ships
Develop Staff designers
through direct mentorship, critique, and the clarity of your own example
Contribute to hiring and calibration
— assess candidates with conviction and help the team develop a shared language for what excellent looks like
What we're looking for
10+ years of product design experience
with a portfolio demonstrating design vision and organizational impact, not just individual craft
Track record of
shaping design direction at the company level
— influenced what gets built and why, not just how it looks
Designed for developer and builder audiences
— CLI, API-first onboarding, or infrastructure-native products
Developed point of view on AI and agentic product design
— has shipped AI-native interfaces and can articulate a philosophy on interaction models for agentic and delegated use
Contributed to a design system at the strategic level
— shaped what it should be and shouldn't be, and advocated for those decisions over time
Operates with influence without authority
— track record of aligning product, engineering, and exec leadership around a design direction without a management title
Has raised the craft bar at an organizational level
— through critique culture, standards, and the example others internalize
Executive-level communication
— connects design decisions to customer impact, product differentiation, and business outcomes
B2B SaaS depth
— understands complex, data-heavy products and has opinions about where the interaction model breaks
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in transparency. The starting salary for this role is
$245k-$276k USD
, depending on experience and subject to market-rate adjustment. In addition to base salary, this role includes an equity grant in the form of stock options, so you share in the success you help build.
We know our people are what make us great, and we're committed to taking great care of them. Our inclusive benefits package supports your well-being and growth, including
100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family
. We also offer
16 weeks of paid parental leave, unlimited PTO
, stipends for remote work and wellness, a professional development budget, and more.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a Tech Lead to drive delivery and cross-team coordination for the Shop Builder DevX and AI team. You are the bridge between architecture and execution: you take the technical direction set by the Principal Engineer and turn it into a running, shipping team.
You lead a squad of three engineers building the developer surface that Shop Builder is missing — MCP server, CLI, SDK, documentation pipeline, local dev environment, deploy and versioning path. You set the delivery cadence, remove blockers, coordinate inbound dependencies from payments, auth, live ops, and catalog, and own the quality of what ships.
This is a hands-on role. You write production code, lead code reviews, and drive technical decisions within your domain. You also have the seniority and judgment to coordinate across teams and represent the team's work to engineering leadership.
ABOUT US
Xsolla is a global payments and commerce platform for the games industry, used by thousands of publishers to monetize, distribute, and operate their titles worldwide. Shop Builder is Xsolla's storefront platform — used by publishers and game developers to launch and operate game shops, from straightforward catalog and webshops to fully custom storefronts built headless on our backend. For more information, visit xsolla.com.
The DevX and AI team owns the public APIs, documentation, and AI features that give developers — and AI agents — the full surface they need to customize and extend Shop Builder. This is a net-new team of seven, standing up to fill a real gap: no dedicated team has owned the developer surface end to end. That changes now.
Responsibilities
Drive the delivery of the Shop Builder developer surface: MCP server, CLI and local dev environment, public SDK, documentation pipeline, sandbox and preview environments, deploy and versioning path.
Lead and mentor a team of three engineers — setting technical direction within the squad, running code reviews, and ensuring consistent engineering quality.
Own cross-team coordination: identify and pull inbound API capabilities from payments, auth, live ops, and catalog teams; unblock dependencies; manage integration timelines.
Actively contribute to implementation — you ship production code alongside the team, particularly on the most critical and complex components.
Partner with the Principal Engineer to translate architecture decisions into sprint-level execution plans and realistic timelines.
Collaborate with the PO on roadmap sequencing, scope decisions, and trade-offs between speed and correctness.
Own the team's delivery rhythm: sprint planning, technical grooming, retrospectives, and status visibility to engineering and business leadership.
Define and maintain the team's engineering standards: testing strategy, observability, deployment practices, and documentation quality.
Act as the primary technical contact for integrations with headless partners and the MIT professional services team during early partner onboarding.
Contribute to hiring by conducting technical interviews and defining what great looks like for the engineers joining this team.
Qualifications & Skills
6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a tech lead, staff, or senior lead role driving delivery across a team.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js, with experience shipping production APIs, CLIs, or SDKs to external developers.
Hands-on experience building CLI tools and developer-facing workflows: command design, config file formats, local dev loops, deploy commands, and error messages that actually help.
Solid understanding of REST API design principles, SDK ergonomics, and what makes a developer experience work — you have strong opinions and can back them up.
Practical familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or agentic tool-use patterns: you understand how AI agents consume tool interfaces and what makes a tool reliable for an LLM.
Experience coordinating across multiple engineering teams to ship features that depend on inbound capabilities you don't own.
Proven ability to lead engineers: clear technical direction, raising the quality bar through reviews, developing other engineers' skills.
Cloud-native experience: CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and deployment automation on AWS or GCP.
Strong communication skills — you translate technical complexity into clear status for leadership, and technical requirements into actionable work for your team.
Nice to Have
Experience in game tech, digital commerce, storefront platforms, or headless architecture.
Background building React component libraries, design systems, or frontend platforms consumed by external developers.
Experience building sandboxed execution environments for third-party code (custom blocks, extensions, plugins).
Familiarity with LLM-generated code evaluation: assessing whether an AI-produced block, component, or layout is correct and safe to ship.
Prior experience standing up a greenfield team from scratch and knowing what that demands.
Exposure to documentation-as-code workflows and toolchains that publish to multiple surfaces from a single source of truth.
Benefits:
We are passionate about fostering a supportive environment for our team, so we prioritize the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our employees and their families through a comprehensive Benefits Program. ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a Principal Engineer to take architectural ownership of the agent-readable Shop Builder platform. This is the most senior individual contributor role on the DevX and AI team, and the decisions you make here — which surfaces to expose, which formats to support, which standards to set — will bind the platform for years.
You are not a manager, but your influence is org-wide. You define how developers and AI agents interact with Shop Builder's foundational capabilities: UI as Data, custom blocks, themes, data binding, catalog, payments. You are the technical authority on what the platform exposes and how, and you are deeply hands-on with the hardest parts of that work.

This is a net-new team of seven, standing up to fill a real gap: no dedicated team has owned the developer surface end to end. That changes now.
Responsibilities
Own the technical architecture of the agent-readable Shop Builder platform: which APIs to expose, in what shape, through which surfaces (REST, SDK, MCP, CLI).
Define the interface contracts that LLMs and developers interact with — React component APIs, custom block schemas, theme tokens, data binding formats — and maintain them with the rigor of a public API.
Design and lead delivery of the MCP server that allows AI agents (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) to build, deploy, and operate Shop Builder storefronts end-to-end without the editor in the loop.
Architect the CLI and local development environment: how developers scaffold projects, iterate locally, preview changes, and push to production.
Define the deploy, versioning, and rollback model for developer-published content — custom blocks, themes, and layouts.
Design the sandbox and preview environment system so agents and developers can iterate without touching live partner sites.
Set the documentation standard: written for LLMs and humans as first-class users, maintained from single canonical sources and published to every surface (CLI help, dev docs, MCP tool descriptions, AI context).
Lead the eval harness architecture: how the team measures whether an LLM-generated block, theme, or layout is correct before it ships.
Collaborate with Principal/Staff Engineers across payments, auth, live ops, and catalog to pull inbound capabilities into coherent developer-facing surfaces.
Serve as the technical bar-raiser for the team: define code standards, review critical implementation decisions, and mentor the Tech Lead and engineers.
Contribute to hiring and define the technical culture of the team from day one.
Qualifications & Skills
10+ years of professional engineering experience, with a demonstrated track record as a Staff or Principal engineer who has shaped platforms, APIs, or developer tooling used by external builders.
Deep expertise in designing and shipping public APIs and SDKs, including versioning strategy, backwards compatibility, and developer ergonomics — strong opinions about what makes an API delightful vs. painful.
Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React — the primary interface language for LLMs and developers on this platform.
Hands-on experience building CLI tooling and local developer workflows (scaffolding, hot reload, file-based config, deploy commands).
Solid understanding of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or equivalent agentic tool-use interfaces, and practical experience building tools that AI agents can reliably invoke.
Experience building systems at global scale on cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), with deep knowledge of containerization, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
Ability to write and reason about LLM-friendly documentation and API surfaces: you understand that token-efficiency, predictability, and schema clarity matter as much as human readability.
Exceptional technical communication: clear RFCs and ADRs, productive architecture reviews, and the ability to explain second-order consequences to engineering and business leadership.
Comfort operating in a greenfield context — you define the structure rather than inherit it.
Nice to Have
Prior experience in game tech, digital commerce, or storefront platforms — understanding the publisher/developer relationship and headless vs. hosted deployment patterns.
Experience building platforms where AI agents are a first-class user: MCP servers, LLM tool registries, agent eval pipelines.
Familiarity with Figma's plugin/component API, design token standards, and design-to-code pipelines.
Contributions to open-source developer tooling, SDK frameworks, or API standards.
Background in block or extension marketplace design: sandboxing third-party code, schema validation, publisher ecosystems.
Published technical writing, conference talks, or influential community presence in developer tooling or AI-native development.

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
Ramp is building an AI-native platform that changes how Go-to-Market and Product Growth teams create, launch, and improve customer-facing experiences. We are looking for a product-minded backend engineer to help build the infrastructure and services that power modern growth and marketing at Ramp.
The next chapter for this team is to build marketing-led products: intelligent tools that turn strategy into execution, automate complex workflows, and help teams operate across channels with dramatically more leverage.
The team will build across creative production, lifecycle marketing, paid media, account-based marketing, experimentation, incentives, and cross-channel orchestration. Examples include AI-powered systems that produce on-brand campaign assets, automate complex marketing workflows, coordinate audiences and execution, and deliver personalized experiences across email, sales outreach, external channels, and Ramp’s product.
A core part of this mandate is Ramp’s incentives platform. We are building shared infrastructure to safely target, authorize, distribute, redeem, and measure incentives across channels and mediums—including in-app experiences tied to product adoption and growth goals. This requires combining marketer-friendly workflows with governed policies, budget controls, reliable financial operations, and closed-loop measurement.
You will work at the intersection of product engineering, AI, data, marketing, and financial infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a product-minded backend engineer who can translate ambiguous workflows into durable systems. You will build the data models, APIs, integrations, and orchestration capabilities that allow marketers, product teams, and AI agents to safely execute complex work end to end.

- Enable personalized content and offers across email, sales workflows, external channels, and in-product experiences using shared customer and campaign context.
- Design reliable orchestration for long-running work, approvals, scheduling, retries, human intervention, and safe AI or financial execution.
- Connect marketing actions and incentive spend to measurable activation, conversion, retention, and revenue outcomes.
- Partner across Marketing, Product Growth, Product, Data Science, Finance, and GTM Platform to own systems from early discovery through production adoption and iteration.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 5+ years of software engineering experience building production backend systems, with strong proficiency in Python or another modern server-side language.
- A track record of owning production services, APIs, data models, and distributed or event-driven workflows.
- Strong product judgment and system-design fundamentals, including data modeling, asynchronous processing, reliability, testing, and observability.
- Experience building governed systems involving permissions, policies, budgets, balances, entitlements, or financial actions.
- Experience applying AI to real product workflows—or strong interest in doing so—with an understanding of where deterministic controls and human approval are required.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and a bias toward rapidly shipping measurable user and business outcomes.
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience building incentive, rewards, promotion, loyalty, payments, ledger, or financial-authorization systems.
- Experience building workflow engines, automation platforms, agent systems, or orchestration infrastructure.

ABOUT US
At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.
With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.
About the team
SmithDB is LangChain's internal database team. We're building a storage and query layer purpose-built for AI observability and evaluation. Within six months we went from idea to a production system that offers industry leading performance and scalability for agent observability data. We're a small, fast team of systems engineers tackling genuinely hard problems: storage layout, query execution, compaction, and scaling toward trillions of agent traces. We develop in Rust, run on Kubernetes, and integrate tightly with S3/GCS/Azure Blob. There are no legacy constraints; this is a greenfield system with real production load and ambitious engineering goals.
About the role
We're a fast-moving team looking for a systems / database engineer to help design, optimize, and harden our system. Within 6 months, we've gone from idea to production system but there is still lots to build and optimize. You'll be working on execution, storage layout, performance profiling, and scaling to trillions of traces. This role is based in San Francisco.
What you'll do
- Engineer performant Rust code for ingestion and query execution
- Optimize for cost and speed, heavily utilizing memory and CPU profiling
- Integrate tightly with cloud object stores (S3/GCS/Azure Blob)
- Deploy our distributed database services on Kubernetes (multi-tenant, high throughput, low latency)
- Contribute to observability for the storage engine itself (metrics, tracing, debug tooling)
What you'll bring
- 5+ years in systems/database engineering with strong experience in a systems programming language (Rust, C++). Rust strongly preferred, as it is the language we use.
- Knowledge of database internals is a plus: query engines, storage systems, indexing, and compaction
- Proficiency in systems performance analysis: memory allocation, CPU hotspots, lock contention, async runtimes.
- Familiarity with similar query execution engines is a plus
- Experience with Kubernetes, distributed systems, and cloud object storage is a plus.
- Strong fundamentals in networking, OS concepts, and systems debugging.
