1Password is growing. We’ve surpassed $400M in ARR and we’re continuing to accelerate, earning a spot on the Forbes Cloud 100 for four years in a row and teaming up with iconic partners like Oracle Red Bull Racing.
About 1Password
At 1Password, we’re building the foundation for a safe, productive digital future. Our mission is to unleash employee productivity without compromising security by ensuring every identity is authentic, every application sign-in is secure, and every device is trusted. We innovated the market-leading enterprise password manager and pioneered Unified Access Management, a new cybersecurity category built for the way people and AI agents work today. As one of the most loved brands in cybersecurity, we take a human-centric approach in everything from product strategy to user experience. Over 180,000 businesses, from Fortune 100 leaders to the world’s most innovative AI companies, trust 1Password to help their teams securely adopt the SaaS and AI tools they need to do their best work.
If you're excited about the opportunity to contribute to the digital safety of millions, to work alongside a team of curious, driven individuals, and to solve hard problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you. Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future.
Device Infrastructure Services owns the full lifecycle of hardware and operating systems across 1Password. The team is looking for the Staff Engineer who will lead its next chapter: a deliberate shift from legacy device management patterns towards devops and AI-enabled operations.
You'll be the technical leader of this team, responsible for setting the roadmap for this transformation and making sure it gets executed. This isn't a role where you hand off a roadmap and step back: you'll be in the build alongside the team, coaching engineers and raising the ceiling on what they're capable of. If you're excited by building scalable systems, shaping the strategy behind tools the whole company depends on, and bringing out the best work in the people around you, we want to hear from you.
How we’re using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
- 7+ years of IT and enterprise endpoint management experience, including 2+ years at a senior or staff IC level, with a track record of building and managing endpoints with Gitops practices.
- Demonstrate broad knowledge of enterprise endpoint management, deep operating system-level experience, and the ability to recognize patterns across a fleet and build fixes that prevent recurrence.
- Practical experience using AI tools to enable or accelerate IT operations and the judgment to know where AI speeds things up versus where it introduces risk.
- Proven ability to define and drive technical roadmaps, seeing around corners and balancing long-term vision with near-term execution.
- Strong scripting and IaC ability (Bash, Python, and Terraform at minimum) — both writing production-quality automation yourself and reviewing others' code with a critical eye.
- Deep working knowledge of enterprise security fundamentals as they apply to endpoints: encryption, patch/vulnerability management, EDR, least-privilege enforcement, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar).
- Lead through change, collaborate effectively, and mentor engineers while maintaining a focused and impactful team environment.
What you can expect:
- Own the technical direction of our Device Infrastructure Services, the tooling and standards that keep ~2,000 endpoints compliant, configured, and secure.
- Drive the technical direction of a DevOps operating model for the fleet — config-as-code, version control, code review, and CI/CD pipelines in place of manual console changes — and drive adoption of that model across the IT team.
- Lead the adoption of responsible agentic AI across the device team, building the guardrails that decide what agents can act on autonomously and what still needs a human checkpoint.
- Act as the final escalation point for high-severity endpoint incidents, including deep machine-level diagnosis on both macOS and Windows hardware.
- Partner across IT, Security, and product teams building custom solutions and helping push their initiatives across the finish line.
- Assess and pilot new tooling (e.g., MDM platform migrations, patch management systems) and drive build-vs-buy decisions.
- Collaborate with product teams to advise on features from the perspective of a real-world enterprise device deployment, and lead Customer Zero initiatives — piloting and stress-testing our own product against our internal fleet before it reaches customers.
What success looks like:
- Establishing a clear 12-month roadmap for the transition to a GitOps-based operating model.
- Building device health metrics and remediation standards for machine security, performance, and employee experience.
- Developing our AI-assisted operations strategy, with automation milestones that balance speed, human review, security and agentic workflows.
- Supporting the unpredictable release cadence of major OS vendors, and making sure those updates land safely across the org.
- Bringing the team along with you — at 1Password, we Put People First. This role isn't just about leveling up what we can do technically, it's also about coaching the team along the way.

How we work with AI
We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission. We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. We want team members at all levels to take the approach of actively learning AI best practices, identifying opportunities to apply AI in meaningful ways, and driving innovative solutions in their daily work. Embracing the future of AI isn't just encouraged—it's an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password.
This approach extends to our hiring process—candidates are welcome to use AI tools responsibly and thoughtfully during the application process. To us, this means we do ask that you join live interviews without using AI tools so we can get to know how you communicate, solve problems, and collaborate with others.

As our Manager, Security Incident Response, you are at the center of how 1Password handles the moments that matter most. You will build and lead a team of builders: responders who don't just work incidents, but engineer the automation, tooling, and systems that make response faster and more scalable over time. You will guide program maturity, scale the team's capabilities through AI-assisted tooling, reinforce operational excellence, and step in as incident manager during complex, high-severity events. Success in this role blends strong people leadership with technical depth and sound judgment. As part of the Security leadership team, you will shape response strategy, build effective cross-functional partnerships, and help protect a product trusted by millions.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Threat Operations.

We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
• 5+ years in security incident response, with 2+ years as a people manager or technical leader supporting career development and performance management.
• Experience building or scaling incident response automation, tooling, or AI-assisted workflows (triage, enrichment, investigation), with sound judgment about where automation should and shouldn’t make decisions.
• Experience setting clear expectations, defining ownership, delegating work, and measuring outcomes.
• Experience managing high-pressure security incidents with clarity, structure, and calm.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native, SaaS, and identity-driven attack techniques and how to respond to them.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex findings, tradeoffs, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience breaking down strategic initiatives into projects, coordinating team sprints, and managing work across competing priorities.
• Passion for fostering psychological safety and stability in stressful environments.
Who you are:
• A people-first leader who prioritizes team development, psychological safety, and performance.
• A builder at heart, someone who thinks in systems and automation, not just case queues, and hires and develops engineers with that same instinct.
• Proactive in identifying gaps, inefficiencies, or operational risks and bringing forward actionable solutions, including where AI or automation can close them.
• Effective at driving alignment across teams with differing priorities and perspectives.
• Calm and decisive during high-pressure situations, with the judgment to prioritize effectively and make difficult tradeoffs.
• A clear and transparent communicator who can align teams with differing priorities, surface tradeoffs, and advocate for sound security decisions.
• Motivated by protecting people, data, and the business.
What you can expect:
• Build, lead, and develop a team of incident responders and security builders, setting clear expectations, creating meaningful ownership, and supporting growth.
• Delegate effectively based on team strengths, development goals, capacity, and operational needs while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
• Define and drive the security incident response roadmap and strategic priorities, including maturing agentic incident response, structured threat hunting, and insider risk investigations as sustained, scaled capabilities rather than one-time builds.
• Balance competing priorities across incident response, strategic initiatives, and team development; make tradeoffs clear and push back when timelines, approaches, or requests create unnecessary risk or unsustainable workload.
• Scale team capacity through AI-assisted tooling and automation, maintaining appropriate controls around human judgment, approval, auditability, and rollback.
• Oversee detection, triage, containment, remediation, and post-incident learning, serving as an escalation point and incident manager for complex or high-severity events.
• Partner with Detection Engineering, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Red Team and other teams to improve cross-functional processes and close detection or response gaps identified through investigations.
• Evolve playbooks, training, tabletop exercises, metrics, and reporting to strengthen operational readiness and program maturity.
• Participate in the on-call rotation, serving as the leadership escalation or incident manager during major or complex incidents.
• Track and report on incident trends, operational metrics, and program maturity, including the impact of automation and AI tooling on response time and coverage.

A vendor portal login is stored in an employee’s personal vault. The employee leaves the company, but the team still relies on the account. No one has rotated the password, and no administrator knows the credential exists. This gap between the credentials a company uses and the credentials it can see is what Credential Governance is built to close.
Credential Governance gives enterprise administrators a central view of company-owned credentials across employee and shared vaults. It enables them to take ownership of those credentials, control how they’re accessed, and manage that access over time. The product brings visibility and accountability to credentials that have historically been difficult to track.
We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to guide this high-visibility product through launch and into maturity. You’ll lead a team building the governance capabilities that help enterprises secure critical credentials and get more value from 1Password. You’ll also help define how 1Password manages company-owned credentials as organizations and their teams grow.

What we're looking for:
- Several years of experience managing engineers and leading the development and operation of a production service.
- A working understanding of web development and backend technologies. You don’t need to write code, but you should be able to engage with complex technical problems, ask thoughtful questions, and help the team make sound decisions.
- A track record of building a healthy team environment where people feel supported, challenged, and able to do their best work.
- Experience leading project delivery and maintaining a roadmap that connects near-term execution to longer-term goals.
- Strong judgment about when to accept short-term friction in service of long-term value, and when to build the smallest solution that will generate the most learning.
- Experience growing teams and operating services as their scope and complexity increase.
- Experience managing a remote or distributed team.
- Good judgment about when and how to use artificial intelligence tools to move faster while maintaining a high quality bar.
What you can expect:
- Set the team’s strategic direction and connect it to company objectives.
- Build alignment and accountability around team goals and results.
- Partner with senior engineers and technical leaders to develop the team’s technical vision.
- Work with product, design, and other cross-functional partners to define solutions for customers.
- Scope and plan key deliverables, then guide the team through execution.
- Set a high quality bar through incremental delivery, clear communication, and continuous feedback.
- Balance experiments that test product-market fit with investments in durable, maintainable products.
- Provide technical leadership across the engineering organization.
- Coach and mentor engineers as they grow their skills and careers.
- Recruit and retain strong team members in an evolving environment.

We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
• 8+ years of product management experience, including end-to-end strategy and roadmap ownership for Business-to-Business (B2B) Software as a Service (SaaS) products.
• Technical fluency with integrations, application programming interfaces (APIs), data pipelines, platform architecture, and the trade-offs involved in building for enterprise scale.
• Experience leading complex, multi-quarter initiatives across Product, Engineering, Design, Security, Privacy, and other cross-functional teams.

• Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain recommendations, trade-offs, and risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with SaaS management, license management, IT asset management, identity and access management, cybersecurity, or other technically complex enterprise products.
• Experience with third-party SaaS ecosystems, including single sign-on (SSO), System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM), OAuth, audit logs, or similar integration patterns, as well as responsible AI-assisted product development.
What you can expect:
• Own the product strategy, roadmap, and prioritization for SaaS Manager’s platform modernization and enterprise readiness initiatives.
• Lead discovery with customers, internal partners, and data to identify the highest-impact enterprise problems and workflows.
• Determine how capabilities such as data ingestion, near-real-time processing, integrations, observability, and admin experiences should be sequenced to deliver customer value.
• Partner with Engineering and Design to evaluate architecture options, clarify requirements, and translate complex problems into shippable milestones.
• Define success metrics and work with Product Analytics and Data partners to measure reliability, adoption, customer impact, and business outcomes.
• Align multiple Product and Engineering teams around priorities, decisions, dependencies, and delivery risks.
• Coordinate launches, go-to-market readiness, customer feedback, and ongoing iteration as the product evolves.

As part of the SaaS Manager https://1password.com/product/saas-manager team, you'll be building the platform that IT and Security teams rely on to discover, govern, and optimize their AI and SaaS ecosystems (work that just earned 1Password recognition as a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for SaaS Management Platforms). You'll work on real problems: uncontrolled AI spend, shadow IT, SaaS sprawl, and the complex access lifecycles that come with it. Following 1Password's acquisition of Trelica in early 2025 https://blog.1password.com/1password-acquires-trelica/, you'll join a collaborative team with a startup mindset backed by the resources and mission of one of the most trusted names in security. As we scale the platform to meet our enterprise-scale ambitions, you'll help shape not just what we build, but how we build it.
We are looking for a Senior Developer who can go deep on complex problems and come up for air to bring their team with them; someone who ships high-quality work with a high degree of independence, champions technical excellence within their team, and makes the engineers around them better in the process.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US, ideally with the ability to work within Eastern Time hours.
What we’re looking for:
- You have 5+ years of experience in software development, with strong working knowledge of .NET/C#/MongoDB or similar.
- You can tackle large, complex engineering problems with a high degree of independence.
- You're a subject matter expert in the features and systems your team owns; you identify gaps, propose improvements, and leave code meaningfully better than you found it.
- You champion technical innovation within your team: you evaluate new tools and approaches critically, advocate for the ones worth adopting, and help your teammates understand why.
- You set a high bar for code quality through thorough code reviews, strong test coverage, and clear documentation. You share your reasoning in a way that helps others grow.
- You communicate well across technical and non-technical contexts: you can write a clear design doc, facilitate a productive engineering discussion, and explain a hard problem to a partner without losing the plot.
- You have a practical, curious approach to agentic AI in the software development lifecycle: you use it where it creates real leverage in your own work, form opinions about what's actually useful, and share what you learn with your team without needing to be prompted
- You're a strong mentor: you guide less experienced developers through pair programming, code review feedback, and technical conversations, and you do it in a way that builds their confidence and independence over time
What you can expect:
- Own the design and delivery of complex features end-to-end, from initial scoping through production, with minimal guidance and a high standard for what "done" means
- Contribute to and lead technical design discussions within your team: write clear design documents, surface risks early, propose solutions, and build consensus around the right approach
- Set and uphold best practices within the team (e.g. testing strategies, code quality norms, observability standards, etc.) and make sure they stick through code reviews and hands-on involvement.
- Partner closely with product managers and designers to understand the customer problems behind the work, advocate for sound engineering, and help the team make good tradeoffs
- Bring a practical, hands-on perspective on where agentic AI tools create genuine leverage in your own workflow and share what works with your teammates
Bonus points for:
- Experience evolving a legacy or growth-stage application into an enterprise-scale platform
- Comfort across a wide range of technical stacks (.NET/C#, MongoDB, Go, Rust, TypeScript, React, and others); you evaluate technology on its merits for the problem at hand, not personal preference, and you pick up new languages quickly

1Password's Solutions Marketing team is responsible for the stories, use cases, competitive narratives, and go-to-market (GTM) assets that sellers rely on every day. Solutions Marketing is building an AI-native service for Sales. Instead of asking sellers to search static playbooks and personalize assets for each of their accounts themselves, the AI service will create signal-driven guidance, personalized messaging, and always-current content for each selling situation.
You’ll build and operate the internal AI services that help sellers find current market intelligence, create tailored sales assets, and respond to deal signals without relying on static playbooks. This role is responsible for designing, building, and running the agent systems that support sellers across account planning, active deals, campaigns, competitive positioning, and sales enablement. You’ll work with large language model providers, coding agents, retrieval systems, and modern agent frameworks. Current examples include Claude, Codex, and other tools selected for reliability, security, and fit.
This is an internal product engineering role. You’ll treat Sales and Marketing teams as users, build against their real workflows, and turn successful solutions into maintained capabilities that can serve the broader organization.
You’ll sit within Solutions Marketing and work closely with Sales leadership, Marketing Operations, Data, Security, and central IT. You’ll own product and workflow decisions for Solutions Marketing systems while partnering with central IT and Engineering on shared infrastructure, access controls, security reviews, and production operations.
If you've been building with agents, workflows, and production AI systems and want to do it inside a company that ships AI to production, this is that role.
How we’re using AI today
On the Marketing team, we’re growing our AI capability together and redesigning how work gets done. We’ve built agents to improve workflows focused on competitive intelligence, content creation, and campaign planning, helping us stay sharp, reduce context-switching, and surface the right information at the right time. AI helps us coordinate, execute, and uncover insights faster so we can spend more time on what’s most important: performance, judgement, and driving the future of 1Password.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What you will build:
- Discover and define workflows: Work directly with sellers, product marketing managers (PMMs), and campaign managers to map how they work today, where time is wasted, and what good output looks like. Begin with direct observation and conversations with the people doing the work, then turn those insights into clear technical requirements.
- Define the agent runtime and application architecture: Design how the system manages context, state, tools, permissions, retrieval, evaluation, and human review. Define how it ingests account signals and playbook intelligence, routes requests to specialist agents, and surfaces outputs in the tools teams already use.
- Design trusted knowledge flows: Define how the system finds, evaluates, and uses account, persona, product, competitive, and campaign information. Make thoughtful decisions about source-of-truth systems, information freshness, conflicting sources, structured and unstructured data, and provenance.
- Build routing and specialist agents: Build the routing and execution system that selects the right tools, data sources, and specialist agents for each request. Cover sales asset generation, campaign briefs, competitive responses, copy production, and field support for active deals.
- Integrate with Sales AI and go-to-market platforms: Connect the AI layer to the platforms 1Password runs on, including Salesforce, Seismic, Gong, Notion, Snowflake, and Slack. Ensure it works alongside existing Sales AI tools and workflows, with permission-aware tool use and clear boundaries for what each agent can access and change.
- Design for trusted access and safe autonomy: Design and test permission-aware retrieval, source-level authorization, audit trails, provenance capture, prompt injection defenses, retention and deletion controls, and safe handling of customer and account information. Define where agents can act independently, where human approval is required, and how the system records those decisions.
- Evaluate and improve agent behavior: Tune agent behavior using representative evaluation sets, seller feedback, usage data, and output quality signals. Measure accuracy, relevance, consistency, editing effort, adoption, and other workflow-specific outcomes. Improve prompts, tools, retrieval, models, and agent behavior as the go-to-market motion and product landscape evolves.
- Build quality and reliability guardrails: Build evaluation frameworks, regression pipelines, release checks, and escalation paths that keep outputs accurate, useful, on-brand, and consistent. Define how workflows handle uncertainty, failure, and human review. Production output is valuable only when it is trustworthy and useful to the teams receiving it.
- Operate and evolve the system: Own the roadmap and the full lifecycle of the systems you build, from prototype through reliable production use and eventual retirement. Monitor system performance, usage, quality, latency, and cost. Identify what to build next, deprecate what is not working, and partner with the appropriate teams to resolve failures and improve reliability.
How success will be measured:
- Measure time to find relevant account and persona intelligence across defined seller workflows.
- Generated assets take less time to produce and require less manual editing.
- Agent outputs include current sources and clear provenance.
- Track unsupported claims, stale-source usage, citation coverage, and manual editing effort over time.
- Track adoption and repeat usage among defined seller and product marketing manager cohorts.
- Time-to-response, cost-per-request, and output accuracy tracked against defined thresholds for each workflow in production.
What we are looking for:
You have shipped AI-enabled software that real users rely on.
- You have 6+ years of experience in Marketing, GTM, Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, Data Science, Analytics Engineering, Software Engineering, or related systems roles.
- You also have at least 1-2 years of hands-on experience designing, building, and operating workflows that use large language model APIs, tool calling, retrieval, structured outputs, and agent patterns. Two or more years of direct experience is preferred.
- Agent-system architecture: Experience designing workflows with clear agent boundaries, context and state management, permission-aware tool use, evaluation, observability, failure handling, and human escalation. Familiarity with tools such as Claude, Codex, Cursor, Dust, LangChain, or LangGraph is useful but not required.
- Technical judgment: Choose the simplest reliable approach for the problem. Know when to use deterministic code, a workflow, retrieval, a single agent, multiple agents, or human review. Avoid adding agentic complexity where it does not create meaningful value.
- Builder's instinct: you'd rather put a working prototype in front of a seller today than write a spec about what's theoretically possible next quarter.
- Evaluation: Experience building evaluation frameworks to measure agent output quality through prompt evaluations, output scoring, and regression testing against verified examples.
- User-centered delivery: Prototype quickly with users, learn from real feedback, and turn what works into documented, reliable production systems.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Translate workflow needs and feedback from PMMs, sellers, and campaign managers into clear technical requirements.
- Technical communication: Explain system architecture and technical tradeoffs to engineers, then translate workflow constraints and user feedback into clear decisions with PMMs and sellers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Go-to-market fluency: Working knowledge of business-to-business software as a service (B2B SaaS) marketing and sales workflows, including personas, buying stages, positioning, competitive narratives, campaigns, sales enablement, and content governance. Able to translate feedback from PMMs, sellers, and campaign managers into clear product requirements and measurable improvements.
- Sales, marketing, and data platforms: Familiarity with Seismic, Salesforce, Gong, Notion, Snowflake, or Slack APIs; experience with integration platform as a service (iPaaS) tools for cross-system automation; exposure to B2B SaaS or enterprise go-to-market environments.
USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between 139,000 USD and $202,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission.
We’re looking for an Intermediate Software Developer to help deliver meaningful product improvements and customer-facing features. In this role, you’ll take ownership of small-to-medium sized projects, contribute to high-quality code, and work closely with teammates and partners to take work from planning through release and support.
The Authorization team builds the foundation that determines which people and systems can take which actions across 1Password. The team owns Unified Authorization, cross-product authorization APIs, and supporting services, while partnering closely with Identity Services, Authentication, and Trust Platforms. This is foundational work: you’ll help simplify authorization for developers, strengthen access controls for customers, and shape how 1Password governs access as its product ecosystem grows.
- Proficiency in Go and solid working knowledge of the tools and technologies needed to complete tasks independently.
- Experience building or working with authorization or identity systems, with a solid understanding of access control and permissions.
- Comfort navigating an existing codebase, reusing established patterns, and proposing improvements when needed.
- A quality mindset: you care about testing, maintainability, and clarity in both code and documentation.
- Strong communication: you share progress, raise blockers early, and help ensure stakeholders understand outcomes.
- Collaborative approach: you seek feedback, incorporate it well, and contribute constructively in team discussions.
Bonus points for:
- Experience supporting production systems and participating in on-call or incident response rotations.
- Familiarity with improving developer workflows (tooling, CI/CD, testing, documentation) to increase team velocity and quality.
What you can expect:
- Build and ship new features, product improvements, and bug fixes within your team’s codebase.
- Own delivery of small-to-medium scoped projects, working with minimal oversight and following through to completion.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle: planning, implementation, testing, release, and post-launch support.
- Write maintainable, well-tested code, and contribute to evolving testing strategies and practices.
- Document your work clearly and share context so others can understand, review, and support what you build.
- Provide thoughtful code reviews that improve quality, support team delivery, and reinforce best practices.
- Collaborate with customer support and other partners to help investigate issues and prioritize customer feedback.
Nice to have:
- Experience supporting production systems and participating in on-call or incident response rotations.
- Familiarity with improving developer workflows (tooling, CI/CD, testing, documentation) to increase team velocity and quality.

1Password is opening a new flagship office in Toronto, and we need a senior technical leader to own the workplace technology that powers it. As a member of the IT team, this role is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously evolving the technology experience across network infrastructure, AV and collaboration systems, physical security technology, and workplace endpoint services.
This is an onsite, senior individual contributor role based in Toronto, reporting to the Manager of IT Support. You will serve as the company's primary subject matter expert for workplace networking and AV technologies, establishing the technical standards that will be replicated across future office locations. Beyond building the Toronto office, you will provide ongoing engineering leadership, drive technology improvements, mentor Workplace Technology Specialists supporting regional offices, and act as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure and workplace technology issues. If you enjoy owning systems end to end, building scalable solutions, and solving challenging technical problems, we'd love to hear from you.
This is an onsite opportunity within Toronto, Canada.
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure, including wired, wireless, routing, switching, and WAN/ISP redundancy using platforms such as Cisco Meraki or Aruba.
- Experience designing, deploying, and operating enterprise workplace AV environments, including video conferencing, room scheduling, multi zone audio, digital signage, and room control systems.
- Experience administering MDM platforms and managing endpoint lifecycle, provisioning, automation, and deployment workflows.
- Experience implementing and supporting physical security technologies, including access control and camera platforms.
- Experience delivering new office builds or major workplace technology projects while coordinating with vendors, contractors, and building management.
- Experience building automation workflows and operational tooling that reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to support office builds, technology standardization, and regional workplace initiatives.
Bonus points for:
- Experience working in a remote first organization supporting distributed workplace infrastructure.
- Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and physical security governance requirements.
- Experience mentoring technical staff and establishing engineering standards across multiple office locations.
What you can expect:
INFRASTRUCTURE
- Design, deploy, and continuously improve the Toronto office network, including wired, wireless, dedicated IT room infrastructure, and redundant internet connectivity with automated failover.
- Serve as the technical owner for workplace networking across the company, developing scalable standards and reference architectures for future office builds.
- Own the physical security technology stack, including access control, camera systems, and integrated workplace technologies.
- Partner with the Security team on governance, compliance, audit requirements, and building integrations while driving long term platform reliability and lifecycle planning.
- Own vendor relationships, technology evaluations, hardware standards, monitoring, capacity planning, and ongoing infrastructure performance across networking, AV, and physical security systems.
- Evaluate emerging workplace technologies and recommend improvements that enhance reliability, scalability, and employee experience.
WORKPLACE EXPERIENCE
- Design, deploy, and continuously optimize AV and collaboration technologies across a variety of meeting spaces, including video conferencing, room scheduling, multi zone audio, digital displays, and proactive monitoring.
- Own the technology behind the end to end onboarding experience for Toronto employees, including device provisioning, MDM workflows, automation, deployment standards, and lifecycle management.
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex networking, AV, workplace infrastructure, and endpoint issues, while providing hands on support when required.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Workplace Technology Specialists supporting other regional office locations, helping establish consistent engineering and operational standards across the company.
- Build and maintain engineering documentation, runbooks, architecture diagrams, automation workflows, and operational standards.
- Provide onsite coverage for workplace technology operations during planned absences and support additional office builds and major technology initiatives as needed.
What success looks like:
- The Toronto office launches with resilient, well designed networking, AV, and physical security systems that become the blueprint for future 1Password offices.
- Workplace infrastructure continues to evolve through proactive engineering, monitoring, automation, and lifecycle improvements rather than reactive support.
- Regional Workplace Technology Specialists are enabled through mentorship, documentation, and standardized engineering practices.
- Employees have a seamless workplace technology experience, while complex technical issues are resolved through thoughtful engineering solutions.
- Routine operational work becomes increasingly automated, allowing more time to focus on strategic infrastructure improvements and future office expansion.

Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future.
We are seeking a Senior Developer to join our Admin Workflows team, focused on creating simple and intuitive workflows to assist B2B Administrators in setting up, managing and enforcing 1Password across their organization to achieve wall to wall adoption.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience in a production SaaS environment.
- Strong experience building backend services in a modern language (e.g. Go, Node.js, Ruby, or Python)
- Deep experience with React and/or TypeScript in customer-facing web applications.
- Ability to operate autonomously, drive initiatives forward, and influence technical direction across teams.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a growth mindset and a bias toward continuous improvement.
- Strong product mindset with empathy for customers and a focus on delivering high-quality user experiences.
What you can expect:
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable notification systems for administrators across email and integration channels.
- Partner closely with product, design, and data to refine hypotheses, define measurable outcomes, and interpret results.
- Balance rapid iteration with long-term architectural health and security.
- Set an example in code reviews by evaluating code quality, architectural alignment, performance, security, and adherence to best practices.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical design discussions, and pairing.
- See your work directly influence measurable customer and business outcomes.
Bonus points for:
- Security experience with understanding of security-focused development practices, threat modeling, and building systems that handle sensitive data
- Experience working with containerized services and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Experience working with transactional email systems at scale, including ESPs and SMTP relays such as Amazon SES and SendGrid.

Our culture
At 1Password, we prioritize collaboration, clear and transparent communication, receptiveness to feedback, and alignment with our core values: keep it simple, lead with honesty, and put people first.
You’ll be part of a team that challenges the status quo, and is excited to experiment and iterate in search of the best solution. That said, 1Password is not for everyone https://blog.1password.com/inside-the-culture-powering-1passwords-next-chapter/. Our work is demanding, we strive for excellence, and the pace is fast. We need people who are keen to take on challenging problems, who seek feedback to grow, and who are driven to make an impact. We’re looking for individuals who are proven experts in their fields, as well as those who are highly adaptable, can thrive in ambiguity and through change, are curious, and above all deliver results.
Our approach to remote work
We believe in the power of remote work, but recognize that in-person connection is important to help us achieve our mission. Frequency will depend on role and responsibilities, and may include, but is not limited to: annual department-wide offsites, team meetings, and customer/industry events.

Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future.
We are seeking a Senior Developer on our Open Source Team, focused on strengthening 1Password's open source posture and making our developer tools easy to use directly inside developers' workflows through agentic IDE integrations: our Agent Hooks and IDE plugins. You'll serve as a technical leader on the team, owning architectural decisions and driving cohesive execution on medium-to-large projects, from initial planning through development and into customer support.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
- Significant professional software development experience, with a track record of independently owning and delivering medium-to-large technical projects end to end.
- Advanced, hands-on command of a modern development toolchain (Git, IDEs, terminal, debugging and testing tools) and the languages relevant to the team's work; comfortable reading, writing, and reviewing others' code.
- Experience designing extensible, maintainable systems, ideally developer tooling, IDE extensions, agent integrations, or actively maintained open source projects.
- Demonstrated ability to set technical direction and make architectural decisions that keep products scalable, secure, and high quality.
- A track record of working effectively in public, engaging with external contributors and upholding a high quality bar in community-facing repositories.
- Interest in agent-assisted development and building tools to make agent-assisted development smoother and more secure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make a project's impact and progress visible to engineering, product, and design stakeholders.
- A security-minded approach consistent with 1Password's principles.
Bonus points for:
- Experience maintaining a popular open source project or running open source community engagement.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled or agentic IDEs (e.g., Cursor) and the emerging agent-hook ecosystem.
- Experience contributing to an Open Source Program Office (OSPO) or similar function.
What you can expect:
- Contribute large new features, significant product improvements, and critical bug fixes, such as extending our Agent Hooks across IDEs or building genuine in-IDE value beyond links to external docs.
- Make architectural decisions that keep our integrations and public repositories scalable, secure, and aligned to 1Password's existing security and authentication models.
- Contribute to the team's roadmap by identifying technical opportunities and risks up to ~6 months out, then lead execution aligned to team objectives.
- Raise the quality bar by identifying lapses in code quality and gaps in testing coverage, anticipating and reporting potential problems, and fostering a high standard of documentation across community-facing repositories.
- Ensure alignment with cross-functional partners (Partnerships, Product, UX, and the SDK/CLI teams), translating requirements into actionable work.
- Drive initiatives that better support 1Password customers on your platform and mitigate issues developers face.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment by modeling best practices, providing constructive feedback, and supporting a sense of shared ownership.

What you can expect:
- Lead and Drive Sales: Recruit, manage, and mentor a dedicated team of Account Executives, Sales Engineers, and Customer Success Managers, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and focused execution on revenue-generating activities.

- Build the Sales Playbook: Author the GTM playbook, documenting everything from messaging and competitive positioning. Then working with enablement to get this to the field.
- Establish a Feedback Engine: Create and manage a robust process for channeling direct feedback from customers and the market back to Product Management, Product Marketing, and executive leadership to guide the product roadmap and inform sales strategy.
- Serve as a Key Liaison: Act as the primary GTM stakeholder for new products, collaborating closely with partners in Product, Marketing, Enablement, and Corporate Development to ensure tight cross-functional alignment and a clear path to revenue.

We’re looking for individuals who are proven experts in their fields, as well as those who are highly adaptable, can thrive in ambiguity and through change, are curious, and above all deliver results.
Our approach to remote work
We believe in the power of remote work, but recognize that in-person connection is important to help us achieve our mission. Frequency will depend on role and responsibilities, and may include, but is not limited to: annual department-wide offsites, team meetings, and customer/industry events.

We believe in working hard, and rewarding that hard work through our benefits. While not an exhaustive list, here is a glance at what we currently offer:

With over 180,000 business customers, Enterprise Password Manager is 1Password's core product. It is rapidly evolving into a complete credentials security platform for humans, machines, and AI agents.
This is a Senior Staff PMM role. Individual contributor with broad organizational visibility. You’ll report to the Director of Product Marketing and own EPM end-to-end: messaging, positioning, competitive strategy, and launch execution.
You will shape how the market understands credentials security as 1Password grows.
What we're looking for:
Experience and Domain Expertise
- 7+ years of B2B SaaS product marketing, with direct experience in password management, enterprise vaulting, credentials security, or identity security.
- Working knowledge of broad cybersecurity concepts.
- You've repositioned a mature enterprise product. You know the difference between a messaging refresh and actually shifting how the market thinks about something.
- You can market to enterprise IT and security buyers: the admin managing rollout, the CISO approving the spend, and the security engineer evaluating the technical depth.
- A track record of winning in competitive markets by displacing incumbents, not just differentiating in an open field.
Technical Depth
- You understand how credentials work beyond passwords: API keys, certificates, machine secrets, passkeys, and what it takes to issue credentials to AI agents.
- Working knowledge of enterprise IT: MDM, SSO, directory services, and where password management fits in the IAM stack.
AI-Forward, Not AI-Dependent
- You use AI to go faster, not to think less. You know what to hand off and what to own, and you can tell good output from output that still needs work.
- You want AI to free up time for the work only a good product marketer can do: strategy, judgment, and narrative.
- You own the ideas you bring. Walk into a room with a recommendation and you can defend it. Candidates who produce content but can’t explain the thinking behind it won’t fit here.
Strategic Storytelling and Senior-Level Communication
- You write for multiple audiences without diluting the message. An IT admin and a CISO aren't reading the same document for the same reason. You know how to serve both.
- Strong narrative instincts: open with the problem, build to the solution, and land in a way that makes the reader feel the product was built for their situation.
- You’ve shaped category narratives, not just contributed to them.
Bonus points for:
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+, or similar).
- Experience developing thought leadership in a fast-moving category. 1Password has a team that produces content. This role provides the point of view.
- You've repositioned an established product category. There's a real difference between entering a space and redefining it.
What you can expect:
Own EPM Product Marketing
- Own messaging, positioning, and launch strategy for the Enterprise Password Manager.
- Define how 1Password talks about credentials security for employees, service accounts, and AI agents.
- Tell the story clearly to analysts, IT buyers, security leaders, and sellers. The narrative has to work for practitioners and executives.
- Connect EPM’s story to the Unified Access platform narrative.
Build Competitive Intelligence and Category Positioning
- Own positioning and market leadership claims for EPM.
- Partner with Solutions Marketing on competitive differentiation. Know the competitive set cold: where they’re strong, where they’re not, and how to win against each.
- Track where the credentials security market is moving and keep 1Password’s messaging ahead of it.
Enable the Field with Tools That Actually Get Used
- Produce discovery decks, battlecards, objection-handling guides, and technical briefs that sellers and SEs reach for because they work.
- Take complex concepts like passkeys, machine credential lifecycle, AI agent authentication, and zero-knowledge architecture and make them usable in a customer conversation.
- Surface win/loss signals from the field and turn them into repeatable GTM motions, not one-off documents.
Influence EPM Product Strategy
- Bring the market's perspective to Product: customer evidence, analyst intelligence, competitive signals, field feedback.
- Make the market case early, before decisions are locked.
Why join us:
- The credentials security market is being reshaped by machine identities and AI agents. You'll own how 1Password tells that story.
- You'll work across product strategy, competitive positioning, and field execution. The work is visible at the executive level.
- 1Password is remote-first and has been since day one. We hire for judgment, not proximity.
- The company is growing and there's room to shape how PMM works here, not just execute what's already been defined.
