Software / Systems Architect

Responsibilities: — Architect the entire platform including sequencer, coordinator, proving stack, interoperability layer, privacy components, and infrastructure. — Translate institutional requirements into architectural designs. — Develop proofs of concept in partnership with the engineering team. — Conduct design reviews and document architecture decisions thoroughly. — Make build versus buy decisions considering dependencies and costs. — Provide technical expertise during client and partner deep-dives. — Own architecture decisions and ensure they are final and well-documented. — Use AI daily to explore designs, write and test proofs of concept, and draft Architecture Decision Records. — Ensure designs survive production constraints such as availability, finality, rollback, and upgrades. Requirements: — 8+ years of hands-on software development and engineering experience. — Proven experience designing and building distributed systems using Kotlin, Go, Rust, Solidity, TypeScript, or Zig. — Strong knowledge of Ethereum and EVM or ability to quickly acquire it. — Ability to hold a large system architecture in mind, identify failure modes, coupling, and scalability issues, and communicate effectively. — Skilled in writing clear design documents and diagrams accepted by institutional architecture teams. — Experience architecting secure mission-critical systems. — Ability to make decisive architecture decisions under ambiguity. — Familiarity with privacy technologies, zero-knowledge proof systems, regulated financial infrastructure, and governance within the Ethereum ecosystem is a plus. — Experience with cloud and infrastructure deployments and fintech, banking, or trading domains is beneficial.
