Director of Procurement

Responsibilities: — Lead end-to-end operational sourcing strategies including packaging, pallets, corrugate, business services, and facility supplies. — Drive commercial negotiations, cost-saving initiatives, and vendor accountability. — Lead on-site non-inventory hourly teams responsible for staging and replenishment. — Design robust inventory controls and build cross-functional alignment across Finance, Operations, and carriers. — Own network spend of approximately $25M/year across 8 fulfillment centers. — Lead strategic RFP execution for pallets and corrugate to secure lowest total net cost. — Establish S&OP-driven pallet demand forecasts and operationalize pallet return, regrade, and credit recovery programs with major carriers. — Directly lead on-site hourly associates and implement lean kanban staging to eliminate downtime. — Negotiate master service agreements, consolidate vendors, enforce SLA performance, and streamline ordering flows for facility supplies. — Own procurement systems and operational controls including vendor onboarding, invoice reconciliation, and approval workflows. Requirements: — 7+ years of progressive procurement and strategic sourcing experience managing $25M+ in addressable spend within fulfillment, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain operations. — Proven expertise in packaging and corrugate including competitive RFPs and pallet return/regrade programs. — Mastery in business services procurement, vendor rationalization, contract redlining, and SLA governance. — Experience integrating procurement volume requirements into Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to eliminate stockouts and forecast variance. — Hands-on leadership experience managing distributed, on-site hourly teams across multiple facilities. — Practical knowledge of enterprise procure-to-pay tools (e.g., Medius), computerized maintenance management systems (e.g., Limble CMMS), and automated vendor setup/invoicing controls.
