Head of Product Compliance (f/m/d)

Responsibilities: — Drive product quality management and regulatory compliance for Orbem's systems across the EU, US, and other markets. — Serve as the strategic bridge connecting hardware, software, and AI capabilities with international safety and industry standards. — Lead and scale the product compliance team to ensure products meet global market standards and internal quality requirements. — Own compliance roadmaps for international market access, securing NRTL approvals and achieving CE marking through the Machinery Regulation and EMC Directive. — Mentor and grow the product compliance team, fostering continuous learning, fast delivery, and strong ownership. — Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, Field Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Legal to embed compliance and quality management into the product lifecycle. — Manage the path from field and production nonconformances through root-cause analysis and CAPA into updated risk assessments, technical files, and design changes. — Translate complex regulatory frameworks into clear guidance for multidisciplinary teams. — Optimize Agile frameworks to maintain structured compliance guidelines while adapting to a fast-growing scaleup environment. — Champion system validation processes to ensure product reliability. — Own regulated product documentation including manuals, safety markings, and translations, leading technical writers. Requirements: — 10+ years experience in compliance and quality management with leadership experience, ideally in agile scale-up or high-growth tech. — Experience overseeing complex systems combining hardware, software, and AI, preferably involving special machinery or automation. — Hands-on experience with nonconformance and CAPA processes for electromechanical products, including root-cause analysis methods like 8D, FMEA, fault tree. — Broad knowledge of international product compliance frameworks, including UL508A, NFPA79, CE marking under Machinery Regulation and EMC Directive. — Experience defining quality and compliance requirements in stage-gate processes and building Design for Compliance and Design for Quality principles. — Proven track record of building, mentoring, and scaling technical teams. — Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills with collaborative leadership. — Comfortable defining acceptance criteria and verification evidence frameworks including factory and site acceptance testing, calibration, and measurement traceability. — Domain experience with industrial automation systems in food processing or agricultural sectors is a plus. — Academic background in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
