Senior Associate, Broker Dealer Operations

Responsibilities: — Manage recurring broker-dealer operations workflows including reconciliations, corporate actions, securities transfers, account maintenance, error processing, and regulatory reporting support. — Perform daily reconciliations of orders, trades, positions, balances, and cash between Coinbase and Apex records, investigate discrepancies, document root causes, and drive resolution. — Handle complex exceptions and time-sensitive incidents by coordinating remediation across multiple teams including Apex, Engineering, Product, Trading, CX, Compliance, Finance, Legal, and Risk. — Develop and maintain audit-ready documentation such as SOPs, runbooks, control checklists, and process maps. — Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define operational requirements, test new functionalities, validate launch readiness, and enhance tooling, dashboards, and automation. — Identify systemic failure modes and lead initiatives to improve processes, reduce manual work, and strengthen operational resilience. Requirements: — Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services operations, broker-dealer operations, clearing and settlement, trade support, or related operational control functions with direct experience in the U.S. equities trade lifecycle. — Proven ability to independently manage complex operational issues across multiple systems, including investigation, escalation, remediation, and closure. — Experience authoring or improving SOPs, runbooks, controls documentation, or audit-support materials in regulated environments. — Hands-on experience with clearing firm or broker-dealer systems such as Apex Clearing or Apex Ascend. — Working proficiency in SQL, Jira, and data-quality or workflow-automation tools. — Experience collaborating with Engineering and Product teams to translate operational requirements into tooling, alerts, dashboards, or automated workflows. — Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
