Mid-Market Account Executive - SF or NYC based

Location: United States (Remote) Workplace: Remote About Teleport Don't wait for the future of infrastructure. Be part of it. Teleport is the AI Infrastructure Identity Company. We're solving one of the hardest problems in security: giving every human, machine, workload, and AI agent a cryptographically secured identity, improving engineering velocity while maintaining security. We make trusted computing simple. This gives you the freedom, power, and autonomy to build and innovate with confidence. Remote-first and globally distributed, we work with companies like Nasdaq, DoorDash, and Elastic to secure infrastructure for an AI world. About the Role: As a Mid-Market Account Executive at Teleport, you will own the full sales cycle for mid-sized organizations looking to secure their infrastructure in an AI-driven world. Teleport unifies identity across humans, machines, workloads, and AI agents — replacing fragmented, credential-based access with a hardware-rooted, cryptographic identity layer that scales zero trust across cloud and on-prem environments. You'll work closely with Sales Engineering, Account Development and Marketing to identify, qualify, and close new business, building a repeatable, high-velocity motion across a defined territory or vertical. This role is ideal for a driven, autonomous seller who thrives on prospecting and closing deals in a fast-paced, high-growth environment — while helping customers eliminate credential sprawl, reduce identity-based attack surface, and prepare their infrastructure for the demands of agentic AI. What You'll Do: - Communicate effectively with Engineering, InfoSec teams, and business stakeholders. - Develop a territory plan and relentlessly execute against it in order to exceed your quota. - Understand the nuances of selling open source technology. - Help us foster our open source community and grow our commercial offering. - Identify and excite champions at your key accounts so they become your executive sponsors. - Navigate complex deals involving several stakeholders across engineering and InfoSec without coming across as "Salesy." - Mentor our Sales Development Reps. You will collaborate with them in order to break into your target accounts. - Strong listening and storytelling skills. What We're Looking For: - 3+ years of quota attainment at a software startup in the infrastructure, security, open source space - 1+ year experience working at a growing start up selling to scaling AI, fintech or e-commerce companies - Experience in articulating the value of a product, aligning with the specific needs and compliance requirements amongst complex organizations - Humility, curiosity, resilience, and a sense of humor. - You're not afraid of prospecting. - Based in NYC or SF Bay Area How We Hire — Instructions Our process is designed to be straightforward and respectful of your time. We skip performative rounds and focus on what matters: understanding how you think and what you can do. You'll start with a 30-minute recruiter screen, followed by a 30-minute interview with the hiring manager and four team member, a presentation including clear instructions. Why Teleport You're joining a company where the problem is real, the team is small, and your work shows up directly in the product. We're not a big company, you won't get lost in a crowd. You'll have the freedom and autonomy to do what you're great at, alongside teammates who care about doing it right and want to see you succeed. The work is collaborative, there's real room to grow, and the mission is one worth showing up for. Remote-first and globally distributed, we're genuinely passionate about what we're building. The Benefits At Teleport, we believe your career is more important than a list of perks. That's why we focus on making your day-to-day the best it can be — giving you the autonomy, access, and support to do the best work of your career. - Extensive health coverage - Annual expense budget - Rest and recovery policies that maximize your ability to recharge - Investment in your future with retirement savings plans - Professional development opportunities Teleport is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant on the basis of age, color, disability, gender, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any classifications protected by federal, state, or local law.
