Build Dream Teams.
Who You Are:
You are a commissioning leader who has taken large-scale, mission-critical data center facilities from equipment acceptance through energization, functional performance testing, and integrated systems testing, and who has done it across multiple facilities at once. You understand the electrical, mechanical, and controls systems well enough to challenge a test script, read a trend log, and know when a result does not prove design intent. You understand the commissioning process well enough to adapt it, not just follow it, and you can rebuild the test sequence when conditions change. That includes authoring the MOPs and risk controls for completing IST and load-based validation after early turnover, in live or partially occupied environments, without lowering the performance requirements the original plan was designed to prove. You lead teams from the front, hold contractors, OEMs, and third parties to a high standard, and refuse to let schedule pressure compromise a readiness gate. You are equally comfortable on the data hall floor with a startup technician and in the conference room briefing senior leadership on readiness, risk, and forecast. You believe the digital economy depends on infrastructure that is proven before it is energized for customers, and you take ownership of making that proof rigorous.
What You'll Do:
As Senior Manager, Commissioning at Galaxy's Helios campus in Afton, TX, you will lead all commissioning efforts across the campus on behalf of Galaxy as owner and developer. You will report to the VP, Campus Construction Manager and manage a team of three Commissioning Managers, each assigned to a data center facility. You will work closely with the general contractor's on-site team and Galaxy's third-party commissioning agent, and you will partner with Construction, Pre-Construction, Design Engineering, and Operations to ensure every facility is installed, tested, and proven to design intent, and handed to operations ready for customer service. You will set the commissioning standard for the campus and hold every facility to it.
Key Responsibilities:
Own Campus Commissioning: Serve as Galaxy's single point of accountability for commissioning across the Helios campus, from design intent review through Level 1-5 commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), and turnover to operations. Set the campus-wide standards and quality bar.
Lead the Commissioning Team: Manage three Commissioning Managers, each embedded at a data center facility. Standardize methods and reporting, balance resources across facilities, and develop talent.
Define and Enforce the Commissioning Plan: Own the campus commissioning plan and its alignment to the Owner's Project Requirements and Basis of Design, including acceptance criteria, test standards, and readiness gates. Ensure these are written into GC, trade, and OEM scopes.
Validate Testing and Design Intent: Review and approve test scripts, sequences of operation, and IST scenarios across critical power, mechanical cooling, and BAS/EPMS controls and telemetry. Ensure testing proves design intent, redundancy, and failure-mode response.
Drive Execution with the General Contractor: Integrate commissioning into the Primavera P6 master schedule and work daily with the GC's commissioning lead and trade partners to confirm readiness, resourcing, and OEM startup support. Hold the GC accountable through readiness reviews, deficiency tracking, and commercial remedies.
Direct the Third-Party Commissioning Agent and Issue Closeout: Manage the scope and performance of Galaxy's third-party agent, challenge findings, and maintain a campus-level issues log. Drive every item through root cause, corrective action, and retest to closure.
Coordinate Energization and OFCI Equipment: Plan utility energization and load bank testing, enforcing safe work during energized testing in partnership with EHS. Align OFCI equipment delivery, factory testing, and manufacturer startup with the commissioning sequence. Adapt the commissioning sequence and author MOPs to complete Level 4-5 and IST activities after early data hall turnover, without lowering acceptance criteria.
Deliver Operational Readiness and Customer Acceptance: Partner with Galaxy Operations and customer delivery teams on documentation, training, operating procedures, witnessed testing, and formal turnover, ensuring each facility meets acceptance criteria at handoff.
Report Readiness and Standardize: Provide candid readiness reporting to the VP and senior leadership, and feed lessons learned into design standards, specifications, and Pre-Construction planning.
Validate Controls, BAS/EPMS, and Telemetry: Ensure the BAS, EPMS, and associated controls are commissioned as a system, not just as individual points lists. Verify point-to-point integrity, alarm and trend configuration, and operator visibility across all critical power and mechanical systems, including through failure scenarios such as loss of utility, loss of a controls network or server, communication failure, and transfer events. Confirm that telemetry remains accurate and actionable so Operations can see, diagnose, and respond to any failure while redundancy is maintained.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience commissioning mission-critical facilities, including 5+ years on large-scale data centers, with at least 3 years in a leadership role directing commissioning through Level 5 / IST.
Demonstrated success leading commissioning across multiple concurrent facilities on a single campus.
Experience managing and developing commissioning managers or engineers.
Deep technical knowledge of critical power systems, including medium- and low-voltage distribution, protective relaying, UPS, batteries, generators, and transfer systems.
Deep technical knowledge of mechanical cooling systems, including chilled water plants, heat rejection, air handling, pumps, and associated controls.
Working knowledge of BMS, EPMS, and SCADA architectures, sequences of operation, and fire and life safety system integration.
Experience developing, executing, and witnessing IST, including failure-mode and fault scenarios.
Familiarity with ASHRAE Guideline 0, NETA acceptance testing standards, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 110.
Experience directing GC commissioning teams and third-party commissioning agents, with strong command of test documentation, issue tracking, and P6 schedule integration.
Familiarity with Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, SharePoint, and commissioning management platforms.
Full-time, on-site presence at Helios (Afton, TX)
Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license or commissioning certification (e.g., CxA, CCP, BCxP), prior owner-side or owner's representative experience, and OSHA 30.
What You Bring:
A track record of leading and developing high-performing technical teams.
The conviction to hold readiness gates under schedule pressure, backed by data and clear communication.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical and executive stakeholders.
Sound judgment under pressure and a bias toward early, honest escalation.
A commitment to safety, rigor, and executional excellence.
A passion for building world-class infrastructure that supports the growth of the digital economy.

Who You Are:
You are a hands-on construction leader who has delivered large-scale, mission-critical data center or comparable infrastructure from start of construction through commissioning and turnover. You know what it takes to run a major building on a live campus: sequencing trades, protecting the schedule, and keeping safety and quality from becoming trade-offs. You lead teams from the front, hold contractors and partners to a high standard, and raise issues early and honestly. You are equally comfortable walking the building with a superintendent and presenting schedule, cost, and risk to senior leadership. You believe the digital economy depends on infrastructure delivered right, and delivered on time.
What You'll Do:
As Senior Manager, Data Center Construction at Galaxy's Helios campus in Afton, TX, you will be Galaxy's accountable leader for construction of a large-scale data center building on the campus. You will report to the VP, Campus Construction Manager and work alongside peer Senior Managers who each own a building or scope, with shared accountability for the safety, schedule, cost, and quality standards that keep the campus aligned. You will own your building from preconstruction handoff through commissioning and turnover to operations, and you will lead the on-site Galaxy team and contractor relationships that make it happen.
Key Responsibilities:
Own Data Center Facility Delivery: Serve as the single point of accountability for construction of a large-scale data center facility, from GMP handoff through energization, Level 1-5 commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), and turnover to operations. Drive the facility to its safety, schedule, cost, and quality commitments.
Manage Schedule and Progress: Own the building schedule and track progress against baseline. Identify critical-path threats early, and direct recovery and mitigation plans before they affect milestones. Provide clear schedule inputs to the campus master schedule.
Manage Project Risk and Contingency: Maintain a quantified risk register covering schedule, cost, supply chain, labor, weather, and trade-interface risks. Control owner contingency drawdown, run structured risk reviews with the GC and trade partners, and drive mitigation before exposure becomes impact.
Drive Safety Culture: Set and enforce Galaxy's safety standards at the building level. Partner with Galaxy EHS and contractor safety leadership to sustain a zero-incident environment, and hold the team accountable for leading indicators as well as outcomes.
Oversee Contractors and Trade Partners: Manage the day-to-day and executive-level relationship with the general contractor and key trade partners. Ensure alignment on milestones, quality, safety, staffing, and commercial performance, and escalate issues early.
Control Cost and Change: Oversee pay applications, change orders, forecasts, and budget tracking for your building under the GMP. Enforce disciplined change management and provide accurate cost reporting to campus and executive leadership.
Lead Integrated Project Controls and Forecasting: Own the facility's integrated cost, schedule, and cash flow forecast on a monthly cycle. Validate GC-reported progress against independent percent-complete and earned value analysis, report cost-to-complete and forecast variances, and give development and finance leadership a reliable view of capital deployment and funding requirements.
Administer the Commercial Framework: Administer the GMP agreement and related owner contracts, including notices, allowances, buyout and savings, delay and impact claims, backcharges, retainage, and lien waivers. Protect Galaxy's commercial position and resolve disputes at the lowest level possible, partnering with Legal as needed.
Manage OFCI Integration: Work closely with Pre-Construction and the OFCI procurement and logistics teams to ensure UPS, generators, chillers, switchgear, and other owner-furnished equipment arrive, are set, and are installed without impacting the construction schedule.
Drive Utility and Energization Readiness: Coordinate with the serving utility, interconnect and substation teams, and Galaxy's power development group to align permanent power availability, energization sequencing, and test windows with construction and commissioning milestones. Treat power delivery as a critical-path item and escalate early.
Lead Commissioning and Turnover: Partner with the on-site commissioning manager, 3rd party Cx agent, and operations teams to ensure systematic testing, closeout, and clean turnover of the building to operations.
Manage Customer Delivery Commitments: Serve as the construction lead for customer-facing delivery milestones, including ready-for-service dates. Ensure facility handoff meets contractual commitments and the customer's acceptance criteria.
Ensure Quality: Enforce Galaxy's QA/QC standards on your building. Escalate and resolve systemic quality issues with contractors and design partners.
Coordinate Across the Campus: Work with peer Senior Managers and the VP to resolve cross-building conflicts in resources, laydown, site logistics, access, utilities, and sequencing.
Advance Lean and Prefabrication: Apply Galaxy's modularization, prefabrication, and lean delivery initiatives on your building, and capture lessons learned so each building is more repeatable than the last.
Manage Regulatory and Inspection Requirements: Work with local authorities, inspectors, utilities, and consultants to ensure compliance with codes and permit requirements.
Report to Leadership: Provide frequent, candid status updates to senior leadership and communicate building status, risks, and forecasts to internal stakeholders across Pre-Construction, Design Engineering, Operations, and Security.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience delivering large-scale mission-critical projects, with at least 3 years in a senior role leading a project or building team through construction.
Demonstrated success delivering a data center, or comparable mission-critical facility, from start of construction through commissioning and turnover.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
Anthropic is bringing data center capacity online faster than the industry has ever attempted, and the owner-furnished equipment (OFE) that makes a site live — switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, busway, PDUs, chillers, CDUs, air handlers, dry coolers, pumps and piping skids — is long-lead, high-value, and sits squarely on the construction critical path. When a transformer slips three weeks at the factory, a data hall slips three weeks at the site.
We're hiring a Supply Chain Delivery Manager to own that equipment from purchase order to dock. You will be the site-facing supply chain lead for a regional portfolio of data center projects: tracking every OFE line item against the construction schedule, running factory and logistics escalations with OEMs, holding suppliers and general contractors accountable for delivery performance, and giving leadership a clear, converged picture of delivery risk across the portfolio. Your job is to make sure equipment production and delivery are never the reason a site misses its ready-for-service date.
This is a senior individual-contributor role on the Compute DC Infrastructure team, working daily with Construction, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, Commissioning, and our general contractors and OEMs. It is not a category-management or negotiation role — Sourcing owns supplier strategy and commercial terms — and it is not a people-management role. The emphasis is execution: schedules, escalations, logistics, and site readiness.
What You'll Do
Delivery planning and schedule integration
Own the end-to-end OFE delivery plan for each site in your portfolio: order placement, engineering submittal/approval milestones, production slots, FAT dates, ship dates, and required-on-site (ROS) dates, integrated with the GC's construction schedule.
Engage during preconstruction with Construction, Engineering, and the GC to set OFE delivery expectations, sequence equipment arrivals to the build, and identify schedule risk before POs are cut.
Lead OFE kickoff meetings at the site level with the GC and internal construction teams, establishing points of contact, delivery windows, receiving requirements, and escalation paths.
Maintain the single source of truth for OFE status across the portfolio — a live tracker of every line item, its milestone dates, and its risk rating.
Supplier execution and escalation
Run weekly delivery cadences with OEMs and integrators on open orders; verify production progress against committed slots rather than accepting reported dates at face value.
Act as the primary escalation point for factory slips, component shortages, FAT failures, and shipping delays; drive recovery plans (expedites, partial ships, resequencing, alternate sources) with Sourcing and Engineering.
Partner with Sourcing on corporate-level supplier escalations, bringing site-level schedule intelligence to commercial conversations.
Hold GC OFCI teams accountable for receiving, storage, and installation-readiness performance; manage the change/claim process when delivery issues affect the GC's schedule.
Logistics and site readiness
Plan and coordinate transportation for oversize/overweight and high-value equipment — carrier selection, route surveys, permits, crane and rigging coordination — with our logistics partners and the GC.
Manage laydown, staging, and interim storage decisions when site readiness and equipment arrival diverge; coordinate with Quality and Commissioning on receiving inspection and storage/preservation requirements.
Ensure equipment arrives complete — accessories, spares, documentation, and vendor startup support scheduled — so installation and commissioning are not delayed by missing pieces.
Risk management and reporting
Identify, triage, and report delivery risks across the portfolio; propose solutions and drive decisions to protect capacity milestones.
Establish and lead recurring Capacity Delivery Reviews giving leadership converged visibility into OFE delivery status and risk by site and by equipment category.
Track delivery KPIs — on-time-to-ROS, schedule drift by supplier and category, escalation cycle time, expedite spend — and use them to surface systemic issues.
Feed lessons learned back into Sourcing (lead-time assumptions, contract delivery terms, buffer strategy) and Construction (ROS sequencing) to improve the next program.
Who You Are
8–12+ years in supply chain delivery, equipment expediting, construction management, or infrastructure program management on large-scale, schedule-driven construction programs.
Hands-on experience delivering power and/or cooling equipment for mission-critical facilities — transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS, busway, chillers, CDUs, air handlers — and familiarity with how those OEMs actually build and ship.
You've managed cross-functional escalations across construction teams, suppliers, and internal partners, and you know when to expedite, when to resequence, and when to escalate commercially.
Comfortable reading and influencing construction schedules (P6 or MS Project) and tying equipment milestones to them.
Strong written and verbal communication — you can turn a messy delivery problem into a one-page recommendation for leadership.
Data-fluent: you build and maintain trackers and dashboards, and you'd rather look at the numbers than trust a status email.
Thrive with high autonomy in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment; you own outcomes, not just updates.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
Experience with hyperscale or AI data center construction and OFCI (owner-furnished, contractor-installed) delivery models.
Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects (5–10+) across a regional portfolio.
Working knowledge of FAT/SAT and commissioning workflows and how equipment documentation gates them.
Heavy-haul / project logistics experience, including international freight, customs, and Incoterms.
Technical understanding of data center electrical distribution and cooling system design.
Familiarity with ERP/procurement systems and analytics tools (SQL, Power BI/Tableau, Smartsheet/Procore).
PMP, CSCP, or similar certification.
Logistics
Location: [San Francisco / hybrid, or remote US near the regional portfolio?]
Travel: [up to 40%] to construction sites in the regional portfolio and to supplier factories as needed.

We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
Anthropic is building and securing data center capacity at an unprecedented pace, and the power and cooling equipment that goes into those sites — switchgear, UPS, generators, transformers, busway, chillers, CDUs, air handlers, pumps and piping skids — is long-lead, high-value, and unforgiving of defects. A single nonconformance discovered at site can cost weeks of schedule.
We're hiring a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to own quality at the source: inside our OEMs' and integrators' factories. You will qualify suppliers, define acceptance criteria, witness factory acceptance tests, drive corrective action to closure, and make sure equipment leaves the factory complete, conforming, documented, and ready to install. You are the person who catches the problem in Ohio before it becomes a problem in Texas.
This is a hands-on individual-contributor role on the Compute DC Infrastructure team, partnering daily with Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, Construction, and Commissioning. It is not a supplier-relationship-management role and not a people-management role — the emphasis is technical quality engineering at manufacturing facilities.
What You'll Do
Supplier qualification and readiness
Lead quality qualification of new and existing suppliers of power and cooling equipment, including on-site process audits, capability assessments, and manufacturing readiness reviews (MRRs) ahead of production release.
Translate Anthropic engineering specifications into supplier-facing quality requirements: inspection and test plans (ITPs), acceptance criteria, witness/hold points, and documentation deliverables.
Partner with Strategic Sourcing to embed quality requirements, Supplier Quality Agreements, and FAT/documentation expectations into RFPs and contracts.
Factory acceptance and in-process quality
Plan, witness, and sign off factory acceptance tests (FATs) for electrical gear (switchgear, UPS, transformers, gensets, busway, PDUs) and mechanical systems (chillers, CDUs, CRAH/fan walls, dry coolers, pumps, piping skids), including functional, performance, and integrated-system testing.
Conduct in-process and pre-shipment inspections at supplier facilities; verify build-to-print conformance, workmanship, labeling, and traceability.
Review and approve supplier test reports, quality data packages, and turnover documentation; ensure equipment ships complete and installation-ready.
Nonconformance and corrective action
Own the nonconformance (NCR) and deviation process for factory-found issues; lead containment, disposition, and root-cause analysis using 8D, 5-Why, FMEA, and fault-tree methods.
Drive supplier corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to verified closure with measurable, sustained improvement.
Investigate field-reported defects that trace back to manufacturing, and feed lessons learned into supplier requirements, ITPs, and future RFPs.
Metrics and continuous improvement
Define and track supplier quality KPIs — first-pass FAT yield, defect rate, NCR aging, on-time documentation, supplier scorecards — and report them in quarterly supplier business reviews.
Apply SPC and statistical analysis to supplier process data to identify systemic risk before it reaches a FAT.
Help build the quality framework for a rapidly scaling, multi-supplier, multi-region equipment pipeline — templates, checklists, audit standards, and the operating rhythm around them.
Who You Are
6–10+ years of quality engineering, manufacturing quality, or supplier quality experience in electrical or mechanical equipment manufacturing, mission-critical infrastructure, or a comparable regulated/high-consequence industry.
Hands-on experience with at least one side of the data center equipment stack — medium/low-voltage switchgear, UPS, generators, transformers, busway, or chillers, CDUs, air handlers, pumps — and the curiosity to come up to speed fast on the other.
Proven record planning and witnessing FATs and conducting supplier audits, with the judgment to know when to hold a shipment and when to accept with deviation.
Deep fluency in structured problem-solving and quality tools: 8D, RCA, FMEA, SPC, control plans, PPAP or equivalent.
Able to read electrical one-lines, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings and check a build against them.
Strong technical writing — you produce ITPs, audit reports, and NCR packages that stand on their own.
Comfortable operating with high autonomy and ambiguity, and communicating clearly to engineers, suppliers, and leadership.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
Experience with hyperscale or AI data center equipment supply chains, or with OFCI (owner-furnished, contractor-installed) delivery models.
Familiarity with liquid-cooling systems (CDUs, manifolds, quick disconnects) and the cleanliness, pressure, and leak-test regimes they require.
Working knowledge of relevant standards: UL 891/1558/1778, IEEE C37, NEMA, AHRI 550/590, ASHRAE 90.4, ASME B31.x, ISO 9001 auditing.
ASQ CQE/CQA, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or lead-auditor certification.
Experience standing up a supplier quality function or QMS from a small base.
Proficiency with QMS/ERP platforms and data tools (SQL, Power BI, or similar).
Logistics
Location: [San Francisco / hybrid — or remote US with hub access?]
Travel: [40–60%] to supplier and integrator factories across the US and [internationally], with occasional visits to active construction sites.
